Shanadune

We had a wonderful stay last week and couldn’t have asked for a better place. The house was lovely, comfortable, and had absolutely everything we needed. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making guests feel at home — they even had a charger adapter, which was such a thoughtful touch! The location was great too, and the house itself was beautiful and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely, comfortable home in a great location. A truly great place to stay — we would definitely come back!

The only small drawback was that the water in the attached bathroom in our bedroom did not drain very easily, as the waste pipe seemed to be slightly higher than the floor level. Apart from that, everything was excellent.

Stunning house, very comfortable with everything you could need. Beautiful quiet location close to beach over the dunes (steep climb) or 5 min drive to beach carpark . Loved it , would love to return to stay for longer

Absolut high class, modern, very clean house, amazing for families, kids, pets. The cleanest place I have ever been. Beach is a short walk, Ardfert is 5 min drive, you have everything you need . We did not want to come back home

We had the most wonderful stay at Shanadune. A real gem in beautiful county Kerry. The house is beautiful, clean and beds are so comfy! The scenery is out of this world and location is exceptional. We hope to return again. Your home is simply stunning!

Beautiful cosy house, great size, spotless, has everything one would need. Great to be able to bring our dog along too! Really enjoyed our stay, great place to unwind . Everything was well laid out and easy too use and instructions for everything. The beds were so cosy, slept really well. The location is second to none, the beach past the dunes was stunning. Thank you! we will definitely be back again !!

It was very clean, comfortable and perfect for a family trip. It is located a minute from a beautiful beach walk. Couldn’t fault a thing!

Shanadune is absolutely beautiful you open the door and it smells so nice the beds are comfy it’s absolutely spotless at the end of the road is the most beautiful beech it’s well equipped views just endless open fields our trip has been amazing

We loved everything about it.. Absolutely brilliant location. The kids had a great time. The beds are ridiculously comfy.. Just a brilliant place we already booked it again for later in the year.

Lovely house in a great location with excellent facilities. We stayed in Feb when the weather wasn’t great but the house was lovely, warm and comfortable. Great kitchen and very comfortable beds. I would highly recommend.

We were warmly welcomed in Shanadune, milk and toast was provided as we totally forgot to buy on the way, due to bad weather, all the rooms were very cosy and amazing sound systems in the kitchen and screen in all rooms, kitchen and living room. Stylish fireplace, heated bath floor. The place was very clean and well maintained Thank you so much shandune for this amazing family holiday experience 🙏🏼

Shanadune was the perfect hideaway. Nestled in the sand dunes, a sanctuary during a stormy weekend. The cottage has a lovely atmosphere, underfloor heating, log burner, large spa bath & everything you could possibly need. With fresh linens, provision of bread and milk, the property was clean and well appointed. Even down to a supply of tabs for the washing machine and dish washer. Dog friendly with a safe enclosed garden

The printed information labels are a great idea. Just need a few more on what switch does what! eg heated towel rails & main heating

We have been to County Kerry many times, but this was by far the best place we’ve ever rented. It’s nicely decorated and most everything is very new. It has everything any family or small group needs for a wonderful vacation. The house is beautiful from the outside and on the inside. We enjoyed the large kitchen and table for our full Irish breakfast every morning and our evening meals. The bedrooms are comfortable and offer plenty of storage space so you can unpack your suitcase while you stay there. The living room is a great place to relax as a group. The bathrooms are quite new and very nice. There are quite a few extras that we didn’t need for our short stay, but these would be very useful for a longer longer stay. Last but not least the location! This is absolutely perfect — a few yards from the dunes where you can be at the beach on foot in two minutes. We loved that! I could go on and on … We will definitely book here again for our next trip to Kerry! Thank you, Marianne!

Myself, my husband and our 3 kids stayed here for 3 nights. We really enjoyed our stay, the house is lovely and just a short stroll to the beach. It was fantastic to be able to take our dogs along with us also. We have already booked for a second visit later in the year.

Excellent location. You can watch beautiful sunsets from the bench on the decking area. The property is close to a huge golden beach with sand dunes. Also it is only a short car journey to nearby Ballyheigue with a great Centra shop, chipper, bars and children’s playground.

Rented a house for the weekend. I really liked the house, it was very clean and cozy. The house is very comfortable, close to the ocean and with a good view. We liked everything very much, I recommend)

The house was amazing, well equipped and beautiful location. There was a welcome pack of bread, milk and eggs which was greatly appreciated! The beds were so comfortable, best sleep ever! The host was so accommodating and helpful and really cared about this property. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend. The beach is a short 3 minute walk from the house which was a great assist to the property. We wish we had more time in this house.

The house lends itself perfectly for the family to sit together and interact. Perfect for kids !!

It had all we needed it was clean and comfortable. It's private close to Tralee and Ardfert and the best 5 min walk to the best beach with rock pools and the North Atlantic sea it was home from home and we could bring the dogs so a proper family holiday

Beautiful house with everything we needed. Close to dunes. Not too far from restaurants and sightseeing. Nice to be able to access our Netflix account. Very quiet.

It was a little creepy to have motion detectors in our bedrooms.

Excellent place to stay, very spacious Shanadune had everything we required thank you. It was very clean, the beds were spacious and comfortable. It is just next to a beautiful beach just a walk walks across the dunes. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The road really only suitable for an SUV at the time we were there

Place was great. Awesome home, with amazing facilities. Created with eggs, milk and butter and heated floors. Extended our trip an extra day just because the house and water were so nice.

Great location, amazing views. It was really quiet and peaceful. Little touches like the underfloor heating and the ceiling speakers were great.

We have traveled extensively, and this was our favorite home we have stayed in! Beautifully decorated, with a washer and dryer, amazingly comfortable beds and a tv in almost every room. We loved it.

The road to the property is washed out, full of enormous pot holes and our car got stuck. Not the hosts’ fault, surely, but something guests need to be aware of.

Beautiful location just close the Banna beach. Free Netflix and prime, underfloor heating. Nice touch with the milk, butter and eggs in the fridge.

The kitchen utensils need an update (badly needed replace of the frying pans, some cutting boards, proper bread knives. Cooking hub was not working properly (only two spots but maybe I was just a bit too stupid to use). Check in was tricky as I didn’t get any info how to check in. Was a bit lost and had to ring the owner.

The house is super.2 and half Bathrooms, nice kitchen, cozy seating room... nice and comfortable bedrooms. We loved

The road was very very scary, massive puddles and very difficult to drive, be careful if it's raining and you don't have a big car. Ok It's totally passible, but it feels scary. And the car was scraping under on the big holes. The key box need some WD, because it's very rust and difficult to open.

House was beautiful- great layout, really well equipped. Location just behind the beach, and 5 mins from village. Owners had even put a christmas tree up for us.

Location was perfect. Cottage was just as described and more. Clean, tidy and everything to hand. Only 2 minute walk to a beautifully clean beach. Definitely looking forward to returning soon.

A very nice accomodation in a very good location. Well equipped kitchen and clean, spacious bathrooms.

The road to the accomodation is very bumpy, wouldn‘t recommend with rental cars.

What a beautiful cosy house . We had such a relaxing stay with all the amenities of home, The beds were comfy. Everything was nice and clean. The kitchen is great! we had lovely evenings chatting in there after our day excursions, so much to do in the area, we went to the gap of Dunlo and lady's view, Stunning. The owner was great at giving us recommendations. Loads of local quality restaurants. There's TV's in 5 rooms so we could be together or go and chill on our own, so much space, the scenery around is spectacular and the beach is just down the lane we had such a fab stay here, shame it was just a few days I really hope to return some time soon, The road is a bit bumpy on the way in, but no drama. I highly recommend Shanadune. We loved it there.
