You couldn’t stay in nicer, more well kept accommodation. Everything is immaculate and there’s clearly thought gone into everything from the decor to the facilities. Really comfortable with a lovely easy going feel. Couldn’t recommend it more

Very close to Listowel, a 1 minute drive. I was in Listowel for work so it was really lovely coming back to a place that had so many unique features. It was a pleasure to have the pool, jacuzzi and sauna - a real treat especially when on a work trip! While I didn’t get to meet Damien, he was very responsive when I had a few questions. You can’t beat the location and you feel like you’re in your own small paradise at Winterwood! I’ll be back for sure!

Only one night, so not much to dislike. The bed is quite study and I hope the outside bets a nice clean up soon so it can shine again.

We loved our stay at Winterwood. This is a beautiful home , very luxurious. After a long day cycling the pool and hot tub were amazing. Our room was spacious and very comfortable.

Two small things - the controls on the shower in Room 2 were not working properly and we couldn’t turn the temperature down. Secondly, it would be great if there was a space in Winterwood to have breakfast - we knew that breakfast was not provided and had brought our own breakfast supplies but there was no place to prepare food/eat. I think this would have really made our stay perfect if there was access to a kitchen/eating area.

Everything was top of the range from heated towel racks, extremely comfortable bed etc.

Beautiful property. Damien was awesome to deal with. The place makes you feel like you are living in the lap of old world luxury. Had a very nice stay. The bathing room was huge. Very large tub

I accidentally booked a room that wasnt ensuite. However it didnt really effect much as the toilet was right outside the door.

The house was stunning the room was very comfortable and the bathrooms really practical with the bidet! We loved the hot tub and pool it was nice and relational.

Lovely and quiet, easy contactless check-in and check-out. Didn't get to use all the facilities beyond the room but looks amazing.

Issue with shower only producing scalding hot water. And high pressure in sink meant getting wet was nearly unavoidable. Bathroom window could do with replacing (old and mouldy). Fire alarm bleeped periodically, presume battery low. Overall a lovely place, but a few unfortunate things needed addressing.

Magnifique demeure avec une belle grande chambre lumineuse, confortable et en parfaite proprete, avec un acces au jaccuzi facile et en toute confiance grace aux explications de Damien. L'acces est facile, parking devant la maison. La vue et le domaine sont incroyables.

Les informations fournies nous ont permis de profiter pleinement du sejour. Note de 9/10 au lieu de 10/10 car pas d option petit dejeuner.

It was serene, peaceful and grounding. Plenty of amenities and a fabulous property all in all. The artwork was intrinsic and the host Damien was perfect. Theres are hottub, pool, suana. The bed is super comfy, heated toilet and a bidet a luxurious addition. I've no complaints at all!

Unusual property in a large wooded garden. We loved the pool, hot tub and sauna after a couple of nights camping in the van. The heated toilet seats very luxurious after one campsite experience! Plenty of pubs and restaurants in nearby Listowel.

No catering facilities onsite. Parking in town - we had to go round one way system twice.

Wir waren erst einmal sprachlos über dieses wunderschöne Haus. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Der Gastgeber war sehr unkompliziert und es hat alles perfekt geklappt.

Es gibt nichts aber gar nichts negatives.

It was extremely clean and it was very peaceful and a lovely place to stay the pool and jacuzzi were a bonus and Damien was very helpful would definitely come back again easy to get to different places for outings

This is a unique place to stay. Great for a couple wanting a romantic weekend away. We loved the quirky eclectic (slightly eccentric) luxury and facilities. The garden view from our bedroom was fantastic. We made good use of the spa, sauna and pool. We watched the sunset in the conservatory while sitting in a massage chair. White carpets, and velvet chairs surrounded by a beautiful garden and renaissance inspired garden statues. It was a destination in itself. The host was wonderful. Very clear instructions; remove shoes to save the white carpets and how to use the elaborate Japanese toilets (I want one now) - without being intrusive. We loved the 10 minute walk into town for breakfast and discovered a fabulous pub where we could have dinner overlooking the river at sunset. We had the garden view room which shared the bathroom with another 2 rooms but this wasn’t a problem as we didn’t really see the other guests (they all spent the day at the beach).

The bed was very soft and low to the ground which was a challenge for my partner with a bad back. It was so low we couldn’t see the fabulous view from bed - which was a shame. We didn’t organise our food properly (there was a tiny fridge) so we had to leave the premises to eat anything.

The pool & the jacuzzi were very good. The common rooms were well set out and comfortable with big screen T. V.s. Everywhere was clean and tidy and well set out.

The only thing I could say would be it could do with a shoe rack at the enterance.

Unique, luxurious place. Lovely surroundings, very peaceful location. Extra facilities like a swimming pool, hot tub and sauna. Very quiet, felt like having a private place.

Maybe access to a food fridge even a mini one, as no breakfast en site, would have been handy. There was a wine cooler alright.

Der Kontakt zu Damien war ab der ersten Nachricht sehr schnell und zuvorkommend. Das Einchecken funktionierte absolut problemlos und einfach. Die Ausstattung in der Wohnung hat uns sehr gefallen und überrascht. Auch hier half der Vermieter uns schnell weiter. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit in Winterwood/Listowel wir kommen gerne wieder.

This unique property is a gem .... so glad I found it. It is the complete opposite to the hotels I usually stay in. The decor, the gardens, the comfort and luxury..... wow!

The fact I was on business and didn't have time to enjoy the pool, the jacuzzi or just relax in the upstairs library area was my only disappointment 😊.... next time though.

We knew we were paying over odds when we booked this property as it was listowel festival weekend.What we did not expect was no breakfast included so in this respect the stay was a ripoff for price payed .I cannot abide overly hiked prices and for that reason we would not recommend this property.

We had an amazing stay! The place was absolutely spotless and beautifully maintained, to the point where we almost felt guilty walking around and disturbing its perfection! Honestly, my only “complaint” (if you can even call it that) is that it was too perfect, I was afraid to touch anything and mess it up! A true testament to the care and attention the host put into the space. Highly recommended!

This was an amazing place to stay. Clean, comfortable and affordable. The bedroom was nice and roomy. The bathrooms and showers were nice and the pool & sauna were great. The owner was v.friendly and responded to texts quickly, providing all info needed.

The venue was great, just a little bit of a walk from town is the only downside.

A stunningly beautifully furnished house, with superb guest rooms, a luxurious salon and library, bathing and swimming facilities, set in a lush garden. I have never seen such a beautiful guesthouse. The host was exceedingly helpful. The stay is unforgettable.

We did not stay as the room had a smell of urine.

We were unable to stay here due to the smelll of urine in the room. We booked into another hotel in ballybunion. We advised the owner due to the smell of urine in the room for a refund. He refused as we did not report it that evening but did so the next morning that he could not. Overall a very unpleasant experience and one I would not like to repeat or wish on somebody else. The queen double did not include an ensuite which was misleading in the advertising. There was one toilet shared with the rooms upstairs for a price of 169 per night.
