room booked single with twin bed. What I was offered is a small room less than 11 square meter and a single small bed hardly a prison cell bed less than 80 cm breadth and less than 180 cm length . the receptionist was very rude and explained that this is my reservation and being non-refundable cannot be changed, Copy of my reservation showed clearly in the photo a twin bed in my reserved room. I paid 835 euros for 4 night stay. definitely not worth it. I'll make sure my family and friends followers never use this facility. I used booking.com in majority of my previous reservations but for this one I feel was robbed. I wonder why the room size was not mentioned clearly in my reservation copy.

Vriendelijk personeel(!), locatie top. Dicht bij metro. Goede bedden (kussens alleen wel té stevig), ruime kamer. Leuk dakterrasje om nog heel even na te zitten. Ontbijt a €10 prima, maar wel minimale keuze wat brood betreft. Kamers aan straatkant redelijk geluidvrij met balkondeur dicht.

Schoonmaak mag beter, en netter. Voelde alsof dit met de franse slag was gedaan: vloer niet schoon, dode mega insecten onder bed/nachtkastje, kapotte handdoek gekregen bij verschonen. Als dit verbeterd zou worden dan echt 10/10!

Não gostei do cheiro a tabaco nos corredores, da disposição labiríntica e confusa dos quartos, do ruído do ar condicionado e sobretudo da saída de emergência em caso de incêndio. No global não recomendo o hotel.

Location is brilliant. Hotel didn't disappoint, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Great coffee machine in foyer. Coffee for 1 euro. Would recommend and would definitely stay again. We had a fabulous time.

Credo che anche i nostri vicini di stanza li hanno trovati perché stamani nel corridoio Dell hotel ne abbiamo trovato uno schiacciato. Per il resto tutto ok potrei consigliare benissimo

La ubicación es increíble. Pedí un cambio de almohada porque era muy alta y dura y me la cambiaron de inmediato.

Breakfast was not good. Juices and milk were not drinkable, both tasted expired. Room was very small. There was not even a hook to hang a jacket or pants. Cost was too high for th accommodation

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Barcelona, but I would like to express my disappointment regarding a serious issue we experienced during our stay at your hotel. During our stay, the electricity went out on two separate evenings, with each power outage lasting approximately three hours. These prolonged evening outages caused significant inconvenience, as we were left without lighting and were unable to use basic services that guests reasonably expect to be available. The second power outage was particularly upsetting because it happened on Sunday evening, the night before our early morning flight home on Monday. Without electricity or lighting, we were unable to pack our luggage properly, making the last evening of our holiday stressful and uncomfortable. I would also like to mention that I have a mobility disability. Moving around the hotel and preparing our luggage in the dark was especially difficult and unsafe for me. While I understand that unexpected technical problems can occur, experiencing two lengthy evening power outages during our stay significantly affected the quality of the accommodation we paid for.

Mi è piaciuto la posizione eccezionale e lo staff , in particolare Carmen ci ha aiutato oltre le sue mansioni dandoci delle spiegazioni essenziali per risparmiare tempo . Inoltre , in una giornata torrida al rientro abbiamo trovato l'aria condizionata già accesa per farci trovare un ambiente confortevole . Tutti questi comfort sono per me impagabili !!! Consigliatissimo

Esperienza assolutamente pessima all'Hotel Moderno a Barcellona, in piena Rambla. Una delle peggiori di sempre. Abbiamo pagato per una stanza che doveva garantire tutti i comfort standard, ma ci siamo ritrovati in una situazione di totale degrado strutturale e invivibilità. La prima notte è stata un inferno: l’impianto di aria condizionata era completamente fuori uso. Il termostato era bloccato al minimo ma non dava segni di vita, lasciandoci a dormire in condizioni di caldo insostenibile e totale disagio fisico. La struttura, informata immediatamente tramite chat, non ha mosso un dito per risolvere il problema. Il giorno successivo è andata ancora peggio: oltre al persistere del guasto all'aria condizionata, alle 17:00 si è verificato un blackout elettrico totale durato più di due ore. Siamo rimasti al buio completo, senza aria, senza prese di corrente funzionanti per ricaricare i dispositivi e persino con i telefoni della struttura isolati. Zero servizi, zero assistenza, solo un enorme stress psicofisico che ha totalmente rovinato il nostro soggiorno a Barcellona. La gestione dell'Hotel Moderno è stata vergognosa e l’assistenza in loco inesistente. Lo stesso servizio clienti di Booking ha dovuto emettere a proprio carico un indennizzo di scuse per il grave disagio subìto (confermando ufficialmente che avevamo pienamente ragione), mentre la struttura ad oggi continua a trattenere i nostri soldi senza alcuna vergogna e senza aver fornito i servizi minimi essenziali per cui è stata pagata. Non mettete piede in questo posto sulla Rambla se non volete rovinarvi le vacanze, la salute e il fegato. Struttura totalmente inadempiente e da bollino nero.

La chambre qui nous a été attribuée ne correspond pas du tout à celle que nous avons réservée sur Booking.com. La chambre présente plusieurs problèmes importants : une fenêtre dangereuse pour un séjour avec un enfant en bas âge, une forte odeur provenant des égouts, ainsi qu’un manque d’aération. Cette situation est particulièrement préoccupante car ma fille est asthmatique et suit un traitement médical. Nous sommes descendus à la réception pour demander une solution ou un changement de chambre. Malheureusement, la dame à l’accueil nous a mal reçus et nous a répondu de manière inappropriée en disant : « Si cela ne vous plaît pas, vous pouvez partir. » Nous estimons que les conditions de la chambre ne correspondent pas à l’annonce et qu’elles présentent un risque pour la santé et la sécurité de notre famille. Nous demandons votre intervention afin de trouver une solution rapide et équitable.

The room did not match the photos at all. The hotel is far from being “modern.” The floors and walls are worn out and clearly need renovation. The “balconies” shown in the pictures are actually just windows facing a closed shaft, which I found misleading. During our two-night stay, there was a power outage in the area, and the hotel had no backup generator. We were left in the dark and without air conditioning, which was extremely uncomfortable during the European summer. When the power returned, the air conditioner was so noisy that it was difficult to sleep. Although the hotel is located next to La Boqueria Market, the surrounding area was disappointing. The sidewalks were dirty, and the overall atmosphere was unpleasant. Overall, this stay was well below expectations. The hotel needs significant renovation before it can be described as modern. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it.

La habitación no se parecía en nada a las fotos publicadas. El hotel está muy lejos de ser “moderno”. El suelo y las paredes están muy desgastados y necesitan una renovación. Además, los supuestos balcones que aparecen en las fotografías son, en realidad, simples ventanas que dan a un patio interior cerrado, lo que me pareció engañoso. Durante los dos días de nuestra estancia hubo un corte de electricidad en la zona y el hotel no dispone de generador. Nos quedamos completamente a oscuras y sin aire acondicionado, algo muy incómodo en pleno verano europeo. Cuando volvió la electricidad, el aire acondicionado hacía un ruido insoportable. Aunque el hotel está junto al Mercado de La Boqueria, el entorno tampoco nos gustó. Las aceras estaban sucias y el ambiente era desagradable. En general, la experiencia estuvo muy por debajo de lo esperado. El hotel necesita una renovación importante antes de poder considerarse moderno. No volvería ni lo recomendaría.

La qualité du service et des renseignements sont des atouts majeurs de l'établissement et sont appuyés par le fait que les personnes qui accueillent parlent français. Le petit déjeuner était correct et les horaires également.

Problème de clim : bruyant et qui ne semble pas toujours fonctionner malgré la présence de la carte dans le lecteur. Même en fonctionnement et à 0°C, elle ne semblait pas refroidir l'air.

What I liked most was the location. In fact, the more I think about it, the more I realize that the excellent location is what makes this hotel such a great choice. Everything we wanted to visit was within walking distance, and there were plenty of restaurants, cafés, and public transport options nearby. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The cleanliness of the room was also good, actually even better than expected and one of the hotel's strongest points. Everything was spotless throughout our stay.

The main downside was the lack of natural light and fresh air in the room. To be fair, this seems to be a common issue with many hotels in this part of the city, where buildings are very close together and space is limited. As a result, everything feels a bit compact and somewhat dark. The air conditioning worked very well, so the room temperature was never a problem. However, the room lacked fresh air, and the indoor air felt a little stale, which made the overall atmosphere feel older than it actually was.

Местоположение много добро, обслужване също, дадоха ни термокана, удобни легла.

Гледката от прозореца беше към тесен и мизерен вътрешен двор. Трудно се отваряше вратата на стаята, с едната карта невъзможно! Счупена дръжка на вратата на банята, без вентилатор и прозорец! Няма шумоизолация, чуваха се гласовете от съседна стая и от коридора.
