Supernova A - 3 Bedrooms

Well equipped house with a nice view of the lake and excellent location to see stars at night on a clear evening. Even has a pool table and games.

The price is steep for what it is at Lake Tekapo. There was a telescope but it didn't seem to work. :(

The location - just close to the lake. The apartment - almost brand new with high standard furnitures and facilities. A huge space with extra beds. Big enough for even 10+ ppl. A surprise is the pool table and games in the garage. We loved it!!!

The house was very roomy with everything you needed. The large glass windows gave wonderful views in the morning, while also warming the house. The electric blankets and pool table were a bonus!

One of the bedroom heaters did not seem to be working.

The location was great, and so was the view! Lounge space was a good size for our group to play board games in, and the electric blankets were the best!

The two room townhouse we booked didn't have pictures? So we assume we were staying in a two bedroom version of Supernova A, but it was not like those pictures. Alot smaller/crampier than we were expecting. And the neighbors in Supernova A were very loud. There was also a mysterious white goop on the side of the bathroom sink (we assume it was toothpaste possibly from the previous people staying)

The property was well maintained, clean and the rooms were spacious. The amenities provided were very useful and carefully thought of. Highly recommend this place.

Few things werent operational but that didnt make our experience any less enjoyable. The view would have been better earlier but now due to few houses ahead the lake view gets blocked. Else this is a perfect spot to stay.

The area is nice and modern. Sunny and the view is not bad.

The couch is not very comfortable, and the heaters in both bedrooms are quite noisy. It would also be helpful to have a few more kitchen towels to use for cleaning the table and bench.

This is a luxurious holiday let. Rooms are spotless and spacious. Lovely view of the lake. Quiet. Good kitchen and bathroom!

We were only staying one night!

Lovely stay at Supernova in Lake Tekapo. House had everything we could ask for, cooking facilities, TV, washing machine (very handy for us to do a quick wash) would highly recommend!

It’s a wonderful house and we really enjoyed our stay there. Was a bit disappointed that fireplace was covered up and not in use as this was the main reason we picked this place (still appears on all the photos).

Enjoyed the location and the mountain and lake views. The weather was good, so we walked to the shops and restaurants, it may be a car journey if the weather is not good. The apartment was comfortable and roomy.

It met our expectations

The location was good and we went to do the dark sky Experience - weather was clear sky and no wind - awesome. We were self sufficient, kitchen had everything we needed.

The location is great, the bathroom is amazing, the kitchen has all the tools you need. The view from the living room is amazing, you can spot the mountains with snow and the lake. The house is located 25 minutes walking from the city center and by car takes you only 4 minutes.

The noise, the sound isolation is very poor. We could not stay in the living room, because the house is a duplex and the walls are so weak. The other family was not even making that much noise, but their sound was so loud in the living room that we could not stay and watch TV for example. It was very annoying. There was a sliding door in the living room that was broken, which was mentioned by the owner, however in the external area there were pieces of broken glass. So, very dangerous during the night.

+ bathroom was cleaned properly + towels were clean + Christmas tree made of balloons was great fun for our daughter along with chocolates left for us

- there was only 1 hand/body soap bottle to be shared between the bath and the sink - only 3 full size plates in kitchen, 2 of 1 kind and 1 of another kind - only 3 bowls in the kitchen - no dryer for the clothes - the house is split into 2 rental units separated merely by a locked door and one can hear the noise from the other side very clearly so there is not much privacy while the property overall was good, the furnishings were not in line with the high rental cost of the properly rather a bit budget in nature.

Lounge furniture was very uncomfortable. Lumpy couch. When you are travelling you look forward to relaxing and being comfortable at your stay.

Walls are pretty thin. Can hear the group next door and they were talking pretty loudly till midnight.

Minor things. We would have liked a coffee plunger or pod machine which normally comes with a property of this standard Soundproofing between units A and B falls down at the interlinking door. We could hear the neighbours tv in the lounge.

Kitchen utensils is enough. Good for cooking.

Easy check in and the hosts were happy to come in and check out the heating.

For the price the place charged it was sub standard. The lack of kitchen supplies, the voices/noise level from next door residents/guests, the sofa was a big lump right in the middle of the seating area, and the entrance was very narrow.

It's on top of a small hill which is around 2KM to the lake . The house are well prepared with all the stuffs you need includes washing machine and a lot of cooking sets . It's really like stay at home. Warm, bright, peaceful.

Having Netflix and Youtube access would have been great, the T.V channels are not fantastic

While the home is private, it is a duplex and the sound proofing btwn the neighbouring apartment is minimal. Luckily we had nice neighbours during our stay.

We could not connect tv to our streaming device, price point was high- it was the most expensive place we rented on our three week roadtrip. We had to pay extra after first two guests which I found excessive given that we rented a two bedroom house- it should accommodate four people- any more people I can understand the extra person charges. Also instructions at the house ask for guests to leave BEFORE 10am while advertised guests have until 10am .

The bed was not comfortable. The couch sectional was almost too uncomfortable to sit on. With so many high end appliances in the kitchen really thought the furniture would be comfortable 😞

Easy to access and great bathroom

The duplex set up just doesn't work if you don’t know the guests in the other unit. Sound proofing is non existent! Could hear everything - even though the other guests were not being loud. There is a door leading straight to the other units kitchen - we could hear them cooking very clearly.

Nice location, good instructions, great to have a clothes airer.

Seemed like very limited cutlery for the size of property, very low sound proofing between the properties, a dryer would be really helpful.

Convenient check-in and check-out. 3 minutes drive to Four Square supermarket. Can simply step out of the house at night to watch the stars, 2-3 am is the best time.

Being summer, the daytime heat took a bit longer to get off out of the bedroom. The night cool only sets in later towards midnite.

The house was spotless and very clean. The owner was very responsive and gave clear instructions about how to access the property. The heaters were all on when we arrived to a lovely warm and cosy house.

The facilities could be improved, for example we had a family of four, and only 4 x bowls were provided. The kitchen was very sparse and needs more utensils to properly cook and provide meals. There wasn't any amenities in the shower or even a tissue box. These small additions and a well stocked kitchen can make the difference!

Beautiful home, had everything we needed. Lovely view particularly at sunset when you could see mountains from back deck.
