Izustarri

The location is super unique. Best view of the island. Musics at the restaurant is good. Trendy and minimalist interior. Good vibe.

A hot shower after a long day would be nicer.

Unique accommodation with great design and really nice People. staying here is an experience itself, amazing view from the terrace and beautiful vibes.

It was an amazing stay - stylish, minimalist, 'instagrammable' hotel. It is located in nature and views are breathtaking. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the setting. The hotel and setting really allowed us to reconnect with nature and recharge. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and nice. The room amenities were nicely done and spacious. The breakfast was really good and tasty too, kept us full until evening.

Nothing, it really exceeded our expectations.

Breakfast was nice and bed was comfey.

Honestly, we were so unimpressed! It felt like no love had been put into it. Everything seemed to need repair and there was zero vibe. No music playing, felt cold, the pool was more like a pond, the lighting in the dark was dangerous coming back and forth to the hotel. We stayed at Trogon the week prior for three days and the experience was SO much better. Further to this, if you are going to be on a cliff, why does one of the most expensive rooms have the smallest view of the water and why is the restaurant so far away with zero view. The whole layout makes zero sense.

We loved the view of the ocean and tranquility of the hotel.

Fascilities were not to our expectations. Additionally, ants everywhere, concrete flooring walls and ceiling, shower wasn’t pleasant, beds extra stiff, the included breakfast was pitiful, staff was rude, not helpful, not hospitable.

A perfect paradise in Siargao! Our stay at Izustarri was simply unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed – the staff was friendly, genuinely helpful, and always smiling. The hotel itself is a perfect blend of bohemian style and modern comfort. Every little detail was clearly well thought out. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere, the quiet surroundings, and the beautiful sea view. Breakfast was delicious – fresh fruits, smoothie bowls, and pancakes that were absolutely mouthwatering. The hotel’s recommendations for activities, scooter rentals, and restaurants were also incredibly helpful. On top of that, we got great tips for exploring General Luna, where we continued our holiday! We accidentally left some clothes in our room when we checked out, but the owner kindly made sure they were delivered to us in General Luna. That made us feel truly cared for and happy! All in all, Izustarri gave us so much more than we expected. This is a place we absolutely want to return to. Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful stay – keep up the amazing work! 🌴❤️ Elias, Tuomas, Sampo & Joona From Finland

All good!

Borja and Daphne could not do more for us during our stay. As their restaurant was unoperational for the 3 nights we booked for they ensured that we were well provided for and went out of their way to make us comfortable and well fed. They even upgraded our room for free as a birthday gift to a stunning sea view suite. In the sunshine it really is a unique and beautiful escape from the bustle of General Luna.

Our only feedback would be that the quality of the towels and bathroom toiletries could do with a little more love. If you don’t drive a scooter the location might be a challenge but I am sure that tuctucs can be organised for any daily needs.

צוות נחמד מאוד. העיצוב של המלון והמיקום.

מאוד יקר ביחס לתמורה.

So much potential, the room itself was nice enough & the location on top of the cliffs is spectacular.

It’s a bold design but just feels neglected externally. External and internal doors do not fit/close properly, red ants everywhere. The staff were cold and unwelcoming. We had to put down a 3000PHP cash security deposit, and were told any incidentals could be paid on checkout (No warning about there being no card payments) - to our surprise our dinner and breakfast extras were deducted from the cash deposit before it was returned and were told they can’t take a card payment which was incredibly frustrating as we needed the cash for an excursion the next morning. No working ATM’s for miles.

El enclave las vistas y el amanecer desde la cama.

the host diego was absolutly adorable just upon are arival. the staff were very nice and helpfull. the food from the restaurant 10/10. the room was cleaned everyday and had the most beautiful view. borja and dafne were very helpful and so nice. beautiful location would defenitly recomend this place to all.

Izustarri was my favourite hotel of the trip! Such beautiful design, lovely staff, delicious food and incredibly comfortable. The view from the rooftop is next level and the pool is beautiful. There is so much thought and detail that’s gone into everything. The music in the rooftop bar and at breakfast was awesome too. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. I’ll be back ❤️

Nothing

Quite literally everything.

It is incredible place, breathtaking views, comfortable rooms, delicious food at the restaurant and fantastic hospitality. The hotel is just 6 rooms so it feels like your private villa. The rooftop bar serves good cocktails that you enjoy the most when it is raining outside… nothing compares to the view of wild forest in tropical rain or at night when glowworms make the forest looks like a Xmas tree.

Izustarri is a hidden gem—surrounded by jungle and ocean, with stunning views from the room and rooftop. I watched an unforgettable sunset from the terrace. The staff and owners are super friendly and helped organize everything from surf classes to transport. The restaurant and bar are very convenient, and the Wi-Fi works perfectly. Peaceful and beautiful, highly recommend!

Amazing staff with passion for what they do. Stylish and beautiful location and absolute a must if you want to treat yourself to the best level of comfort in north of Siargao.

Aboslutely nothing was a let down. Next time I am back on Siargao and I will be back, I will come to Izusrarri again.

The views are incredible, both from the room as the rooftop. The rooftop is a dream, the cocktails they offer is really an amazing experience, the fact that it’s only for guests makes is calm and exclusive. The room itself is spacious, super clean and everything you need to unwind fully. We couldn’t use the pool as there was a small problem with the lights but it looked amazing. They offer the best massages for a good price, everything was a dream.

amazing hotel

Amazing experience staying at this hotel. The location and building provide a perfect feeling of isolation and tranquility once you step into the property. It’s located close to Pacifico/Burgos and has all the comforts you can ask for. The food and staff are amazing, it was a very peaceful stay and was hard to leave. Definitely one of the most unique/impressive places on the island.

We had the best time!! You get everything you need for a perfect getaway! Amazing view!!!! The room was very nice with beautiful balcony. The food was so good and unique! And the staff, they were so kind and welcoming. We really recommend this place! And for yourself, do more than one night!!!

I loved the location amid the rainforest and the sea, plenty of fireflies and a beautiful view of the sky from the rooftop at night . The garage food is very good. The owners and staff very friendly and helpful. A quiet oasis.

A little distance from the beach however you can rent a car or a motorbike and get around the island.

Amazing views of the ocean and surrounding area. Not a man made structure in sight. Breathtaking views from the rooftop. Very clean pool area, and the food was delicious. The bushes in front of our room came alive with the greatest firefly show I've ever seen at night. Staff was perfect, and we couldn't ask for better. Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. It was an incredible stay, we can't wait to come back.

This was one of the most special places we’ve stayed at! The location is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views of the jungle and the ocean. You can really see the attention to detail in everything, from the design of the rooms to the little thoughtful touches that make the stay extra comfortable. The owners are so warm and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. And the restaurant—just wow! Incredible food in the most beautiful setting. We’ll definitely be back!

The best word to sum up how you feel at Izustarri is ‘Paradise.’ The food is outstanding, too. Thanks to Daphne and Borja for turning Izustarri into such a one-of-a-kind experience.

Amazing property with great use of space, simple design, tall ceilings. Very helpful to organise anything - food / drinks, yoga, transfers etc. very helpful. We had a wild storm and was great sitting on rooftop bar watching it with a delicious cocktail!

There was a walk between restaurant and main place, only takes a couple of mins to walk. Food can be delivered.

It’s place to disconnect a quiet place the sound of wave so relaxing foods are delicious and well serve

-Magical place, perfect to have a rest and enjoy the sound of waves crashing on the rocks. -Rooms very comfortable and unique with a minimalist aesthetics. Very peaceful at night, we slept like babies -Owners and Staff very friendly and professional. There are genuinely here to make your stay perfect

Nothing

Amazing location, isolated in Siargao north. Scenic view from the rooftop, very romantic place. The owner and all the staff were friendly and helped us recover something we forgot which we really appreciated. I would recommend for a romantic stay or to get work done as the wifi was impeccable !

Dafney, borha and the staff were so kind and helpful, always caring and loving. This place feels like being in heaven for a moment. The place is always organised and clean, the food is good and the view is 10/10

Amazing stay, amazing views, amazing staff, amazing food... Trully unforgetable experience.

We spent 3 weeks on the Island, and Izustarri was the best place that we have stayed in. The staff is exceptional, the owner Daphne is wonderful. The rooms are very clean, spacious, amazing views. The restaurant serves very tasty Spanish inspired dishes and I really loved their vegan smoothie bowl and pups laying around!

Nothing. All was very good. Just a tiny note, Smart card has no reception in the hotel but restaurant area has very good internet. Room internets a bir slower, bur still good!

Brutalist space

Proximity to water Proximity to reception

decent location - a bit far from most things amazing view and feel good food

restaurant is 200m uphill from the hotel, breakfast, lunch, dinners you'd have to walk 200m uphill to eat or pay 20% extra on top of your meal to deliver to the rooftop bar seating area

We enjoyed our stay here. Everything was great, the staff were kind and helpful, the breakfast was nice too and the location.

Situated on a stunning cliff, beautiful brutalist architecture, wonderful staff and owners, a lovely on site restaurant

Nothing - a motor vehicle if some sort is a requirement though

Location Design of hotel Peaceful Great music

Coffee could be better

Its location. The fact that its being one with the natural habitat. It is isolated but thats exactly what I was looking for so if you are looking for a comfy raw materialistic retreat .. it will he hard to beat.

If I had to find one minus .. it would be the lack of of access to the beach but loved the view and the cliff. They will soon built a natural swimming pool so for sure I will head there again to experience it.

Beautifully designed.

Only thing we noticed was shower didn’t drain well so we could only take short showers.

Everything was just perfect!! The workers, the owners daphni and burha, the location, the quite, the room, the view, the restaurant. We couldnt wish for better then that. If your planning to explore north siargao, this is the place for you!

The shower some times was not hot or strong enough

The seclusion and setting is super relaxing. Stargazing is recommended given that you can access the rooftop anytime. Fireflies; so lovely. Loved this resort. Really looking forward to the new swimming pool!

Understood that the resort is off the grid, totally and duly, the a/c wasn't quite strong. But still love this place.

the place was clean, remote, quiet, beautiful. the owner is a wonderful man who’s keen on taking the time to talk and very welcoming. the place feels special and it was amazing to spend some time there.

everything was fabulous!

Izustarri has exceeded our expectation. It was our favorite stay in Siargao, and the the team is very friendly and helpful. The two founders, Bohra and Daphne really know how to treat their guest and let them feel home. The north of Siargao has a different feeling to itself, it is more relaxed and lies in complete nature. Not to forget, the food is very good, maybe one of the best I have tried in Siargao. Lastly, the structure is perfect, it is situated on a cliff and surrounded by nature - the experience couldn't get better, especially while sleeping with open windows and hearing the waves crashing on the cliff. Importantly, drinks were also excellently made! thank you Izustarri and Team, we will most probably come back!

Amazing hotel, amazing staff and most friendliest hosts! Thanks Daphne and Borja. Best place to be, chill and just forget the world.

The hotel is located in a magical place, it has awesome views of the jungle and the sea!! Since the day we arrived the staff was super nice with us and they definitely contributed to make our stay a really special one. It was also a pleasure to meet the owners, Borja and Daphne, who helped us with all the questions we had and gave us really nice recommendations to see and do through the island. Our room was big and had very beautiful view. We will definitely come back here ☺️

Everything was perfect

The location is amazing. The hotel itself sits right up on the cliffs. If you have a room facing the ocean you can clearly see and hear the waves. It is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. The rooftop allows everyone to access this view as well and has a bar making it a great place to have a drink and watch the ocean or the stars at night. On top of all this the rooms are spacious, the bed is comfortable, and the mixture of the cement styling with the wooden features gives a wonderful contrast. Finally, the owners are very friendly, they both introduced themselves when we checked in and helped us throughout our stay, including providing contacts for surfing lessons which were great as it felt a lot less populated at the north of the island for this. Overall it is a must stay if you are in Siargao.

Spectacular! The view from the rooftop, the rooms, the staff, the food, everything was amazing!! We loved the design of the building, the minimalism and the use of materials (raw concrete and beautiful wooden panels and doors) that perfectly match and blend into the surrounding raw nature. The hotel runs on solar panel energy which I Think adds to the experience of blending into nature without disturbing it too much. This is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. And it is just a unique experience. Also, the owner is really sweet - as Well as the staff. You HAVE to book this place if you love nature, stunning views of the ocean, beautiful design and good food.

The location is incredible, you are on the cliff immersed in nature, with a sky full of stars above. It’s a unique and special place.

Personally I love the architecture and uncomplicated design and finishes, it complements the setting so well. It’s raw, and strong.

Location and view

The walk in and out

Food was extraordinary. Staff always super friendly and helpful. The ocean view is amazing. And cocktails on the rooftop terrace are the cherry on top.

Everything was great.

Peaceful, clean.

Bathroom and shower rooms have no exhaust fans

Staff was lovely. Amazing views of the ocean from the rooom. All around incredible stay.

Probably one of the beat places I have stayed in my 30 years traveling around the world. Views from the room are insane. Everything is clean and beautiful. The place is self powered through solar panels so no issues with electricity as in the rest of the island. Restaurant is second to none and the rooftop bar has amazing views. Location is great for a quiet and relaxing stay. Borja and Dafne were great and made everything easier for us

The fact that we couldn’t stay more

There isn’t one thing we didn’t like at Izustarri! This place is beyond special. The hosts were incredible, friendly, communicative, kind, and helpful. The location is a perfect quiet oasis and the rooms and shared spaces are like nothing I have ever experienced before. They were incredibly stunning and comfortable and I loved everything about it.

Amazing place to stay ! Location is what you want when you are looking for something north of the island and far from the noise :)For us it was perfect to stay there when we did the rock pool and sugba lagoon Food was so good ! But we would advice to take one dish for each person + 1 other dish to share for 2 people because it’s pretty small (but that’s normal when you chose quality over quantity :) ) Owners are just amazing, really caring , helping, both of them :) Room are really spacious and clean , view on the nature is just perfect

Everything was great :) But especially the view: it is breathtaking. The room was perfectly clean and equipped. Great rooftop with very tasty cocktails. The owners are very very friendly and it was a pleasure meeting them.

Nothing :)

I liked everything about the place. If you're looking for somewhere quiet and to just enjoy the peace, this is the place. One of the best things about our stay was starting the day with the view of the ocean while the sun rises and, ending the day with the sunset view of the ocean form our balcony. At night, the stars illuminate the sky. we stargazed at the rooftop area. Hosts & staff were very accommodating and hospitable. We felt really cared for. I enjoyed the food choices, especially the breakfast. Everything I tried I loved.

The food at the restaurant is all homemade, very tasty and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. the views are amazing, and the sunrise is breathtaking. the beds are so comfortable!

Very nice if you want to get away from the crowds, enjoy the peace and quiet, read a book and be surrounder by fireflies at night while you gaze at tge starts from the rooftop!!!

Great views! clean room and toilet, very comfortable mattress and great service. The food was really tasty too! this is a real hidden gem.
