We had a lovely stay. The accommodation was comfortable, spacious, and perfectly suited our whole family. There was something for everyone to enjoy, with plenty of activities and things to do. We had a wonderful time and would happily stay again.

Very clean and private, fully self contained accommodation. Dave and Amanda were very helpful and communicative. The property itself is located a short drive from Mangawhai. You won’t be disappointed with the lodgings A++++

The property was in a great location which was private and away from the busyness. It was clean and tidy with very comfortable beds and a modern bathroom. There were nice touches such as a bowl of fruit, breakfast food, and milk in the fridge. The hosts greeted us when we arrived and were very accommodating.

There’s nothing that we were unhappy with.

No dish rack that I could find. Bed a little soft for me as I am older but was fine.

Parking - specifically getting I. And out of the spot was fairly tight.

There were no fly screens on the windows so you couldn’t have the windows open without flies and mosquitos coming in.

After a long day at work it was such a lovely surprise to have a beautiful, well equipped apartment to relax in.

Immaculately clean and comfortable property. Dave and Amanda went the extra mile with real attention to detail. The fridge was stocked with water and milk. Tea and coffee facilities were great, and the bowl of fresh fruit was a real treat. Dave was friendly and welcoming. Driftwood was a delight!

Driftwood is in a lovely rural setting. It is superbly setup with everything you could think of. A very spacious and quiet unit. Having two bedroom suited us perfectly and would also be great for a family. Loved that we could bring our wee doggie with us.

To be honest we can't think of anything for the time of year we were there. A big parasol would be good for the summer ☀️

This little place was perfect for us to stay for the night nice and close to mangawhai. Wish we could have stayed longer. And the hosts were awesome very welcoming.

The perfect place to come in and put your feet up. Air con helped after a big day in the sun! Our family of 4 we're in love with how accessible the house was. From entertainment to showers to bed, everyone had a place to unwind.

A lovely modern unit, spacious with good facilities

There was a strong petrol smell from the adjoining garage. Also an email to say if 2 of us were using 2 bedrooms there would be $40 extra!

Having traveled extensively across New Zealand, we can confidently say that this was the best accommodation we ever experienced! The welcoming atmosphere, immaculate attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made all the difference. We were especially touched by the care and effort that David and Amanda put into maintaining this beautiful place. Every corner was spotless, thoughtfully designed, and filled with warmth, making it feel like a true home away from home. Our trip was even more special as we dedicated it to celebrating my friend Albinaa’s birthday and the beginning of her new life year. This place added an extra layer of joy to the occasion, making it an unforgettable experience. We are deeply grateful for the hospitality and dedication that goes into keeping this accommodation so exceptional. It was very clean and a large two bedroom with living and dining areas and a big, well furnished kitchen. We sat outside, which was very enjoyable.

Very spacious, modern and well-appointed accommodation attached to the house of our very welcoming hosts but completely independent. Quiet position on hillside with views down towards the sea. Very relaxing place to stay the night.

Everything was great!

The place was clean, easy to find, comfortable and had everything you needed and more. They even supplied a few tea/coffee options as well as bottled spring water. The place is close to several beaches and Mangawhai so easy access to activities and food in the area. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating. Overall, I would recommend and stay again!

A wonderful location with very comfortable living areas, the hosts were welcoming and friendly. It is a very clean and cozy place perfect for a calm getaway.

The location is rural, pleasant and quiet. It is a few kms out from Mangawai, and some of that is on a gravel road. The unit is very spaciois, well furnished, with comfortable beds. It was good to have fresh fruit available.

Not something I actually disliked, but I’m used to having herbal teas as well as a choice of plain and Earl Grey tea in most accommodation. The bench top oven was a bit heavy to lift from the shelf where it lives.

The Hosts were incredibly generous and hospitable helping us with some Car Problems! Nice big double beds with a massive smart TV with all streaming platforms available. Free and Fast internet connection with great cooking facilities that are simple and easy to use.
