Reviewed Sep 10, 2026We did not stay at Arpaiu because essential information was only sent at around 9:40–9:46 PM the night before check-in. Only then were we told that the private garage costs €90 per day, luggage transport is managed externally and should be booked in advance, parking at the top of the city is not guaranteed and you have to walk down the hill for 30 minutes to reach the property with the luggages!? How are guests supposed to organise anything “in advance” when this is communicated at almost 10 PM the night before arrival? I called the host Danilo immediately to discuss it. Instead of handling the situation professionally, he told me “Mi sto innervosendo” because I was calling at 10 PM, minutes after he had sent the information. He also blamed me because the location is right on a cliff and it’s not his fault if I don’t know where I am going! Anyway, We requested cancellation and a waiver of the non-refundable fee, received no satisfactory response, booked somewhere else and never attended the property and decided to lose our money. The problem is not Manarola. The problem is late communication, poor handling of guests, and important information being provided far too late not mentioning that the host is not responsive at all. Think very carefully before making a reservation.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2026Beautiful Room, with a bay window with open ocean and cliff views. The room was spacious, comfortable and had an outstanding view. The staff was extremely friendly and made it a point to share the location & directions to get their before hand (this made is easy to reach with luggage). The location of the room was unbeatable with exceptional sunset views. The room also offered a comfortable lounging space for all residents, with tea, coffee and water. The lounge opens into a balcony with breath-taking ocean views and we spent our morning having coffee and evening having wine right there. The balcony also offered us a chance to star gaze on a clear night, without getting out of the property.
Booking.com or the property dont take city tax electronically (e-payment), & hence there is a need to have cash at hand to pay for the same. (just something to keep in mind)

Nota di merito, oltre alla stanza con una pulizia, una posizione e una comodità incredibile, va a Tatyana che da subito si é dimostrata gentilissima Avevamo il check out alle 10 e lei senza alcun risentimento ci ha permesso di poter uscire dalla stanza per le 13 e poter depositare i bagagli per l’ultima giornata senza avere il peso di portarceli dietro…e tutto questo senza costi aggiuntivi!! Della camera che dire, a ridosso del mare, l’ultima abitazione della via con una vista dalla camera e dalla terrazza MOZZAFIATO GRAZIE ARPAIU torneremo sicuramente

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026Manarola is the best place to stay in Cinque Terre, and this appartment is at the heart of it. It’s super close to the beach and the train station. The terrace is amazing. We had some coffe there and enjoyed the views. The room was super clean, cute and fresh. The staff was also super kind. Such a nice stay!

早餐需另外加購，但價格35歐元挺貴的所以住兩晚我都沒有吃早餐。 房間沒有窗簾，早上六點就會被亮醒。

Host was impossible to get in touch with. He never responded to any of my questions in the months leading up to stay. He briefly answered the morning of our stay but then at our check in time, he stopped responding all together and did not provide us information on how to get in. We sat outside the building for 90 minutes trying to get a response and he never answered. We finally got the cleaning lady to help us in. He didn’t answer the entire 2 day stay. The room is extremely small. Would not recommend as there are many places near here with beautiful views.

No tienen cortinas las ventanas y entra a las 6 toda la luz, dicen que para ver las vistas. El móvil desde que te mandan mensajes instrucciones no contesta a tus mensajes. Las zonas comunes tienen útiles cocina etc que no pueden ser usados.

Avevamo fatto uno sbaglio e npn abbiamo dormito li . Lo sbaglio era nostro. Pero il rimborso era 'mission impossible' ma anche una risposta/email. Mai successo!

La stanza per 3 persone non ha nessuna vista sul mare, a differenza di quanto indicato in fase di prenotazione. Anzi, si tratta di un seminterrato senza finestre. Per di più non c'è riscaldamento, salvo una piccola pompa di calore che non riesce a scaldare. Camera assolutamente sconsigliata in inverno.

La porta della camera non era una vera porta, il bidè non c’era e l’acqua non sempre era calda per fare la doccia. La pulizia mediocre e c’era scritto “camera con vista mare” ma la vista si c’era un po’ di mare ma era anche sulle scale esterne dove passava la gente .

Trop bruyant, pas assez isolé d'une chambre à l'autre. On entends les autres occupants discuter, parler fort. Malheureusement nous avons un occupant avec un petit bébé donc nous avons compatis avec les parents et fait une courte nuit nous aussi, achevé de claquements de portes brusques à 7 h

Me gustaría que ofrecieran un desayuno con precios reales. No pagaría por la terraza pudiendo tener al lado la misma vista. Yo creo que con lo que uno paga debería tener acceso a la terraza y el desayuno. No vi la cafetera ni la lavadora. Las personas con movilidad reducida no van a poder llegar.

The price quality ratio was very poor. The room price did not include breakfast, bed was uncomfortable, the door to the corridor was light and did not prevent noises from outside and the communication with staff was difficult. We received a message at the arriving day which included for example forbidding to bring any food in the room. If we would have known this before we had not booked the room.

Reviewed Oct 14, 2025Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce superbe logement à Manarola ! L’endroit est très confortable, propre et particulièrement agréable à vivre. L’accès se fait facilement — il faut bien sûr grimper un peu, comme c’est le charme des Cinque Terre, mais il n’y a aucune marche jusqu’au logement, ce qui est vraiment pratique, surtout avec les bagages. La vue sur la mer est absolument magnifique, un vrai bonheur à admirer dès le matin ou au coucher du soleil. La chambre est bien aménagé et on s’y sent rapidement comme chez soi. Notre séjour a été très agréable, et nous garderons un excellent souvenir de ce logement et de la beauté de Manarola. Nous le recommandons vivement !
Petit bémol : la fenêtre fermait mal, ce qui a rendu la chambre un peu bruyante, surtout avec la mer et le vent pendant la nuit de pluie et de tempête. Rien de dramatique, mais à noter pour un futur petit ajustement.

From communication, location, facilities, comfort and cleanliness 💕 the directions to access the property were very easy to follow and made travelling with our luggage a breeze! Out just eas adorable and nothing was too much trouble- even had beach towels for our boat trip ready! She recommended dinner at Trattoria da Billy and that did not disappoint! Loved our stay, thank you for having us 💕🇦🇺

Reviewed Oct 5, 2025Unbeatable rooftop balcony with magnificent views. Location in Manarola is perfect. Breakfast was special on the rooftop balcony. On site staff were lovely and helpful and guided us on the best walk for us - the walk to Corniglio is fantastic but you need to be pretty fit - lots of steps up and then down again. Use the train to get around Cinque Terre, it's simple and quick.
Room was small, probably in line with most in Manarola. Danilo did not send our welcome message until after we arrived, meaning that we didn't know about parking or access to the property - frustrating after a long drive. We were also unaware that you have to push the suitcase for 15 minutes down the hill and then up again the following morning. Quite a workout! There is a bus service but it's not frequent. There were builders working right outside our window when we arrived who thankfully stopped at 4pm but then restarted at 8am. Noise and loss of privacy was problematic. Bed had a cheap sponge mattress which meant we graduated to a hole in the middle during the night. At €35, breakfast was not cheap. Paying for the view I guess.
