De locatie en het lekkere bed.

De koffiemachine hield er mee op. Dat werd direct na melden opgelost. Toen hadden we weer koffie.

Prachtig monumentaal pand in het hartje van Haarlem. We hebben hier twee heerlijke nachten gehad. De locatie is perfect, midden in het centrum. De kamer was heel netjes, sfeervol en verzorgd. De host was ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Je merkt aan alles dat er echt is nagedacht over het verblijf: aan ieder detail is gedacht en het ontbreekt je aan niets. Absoluut een aanrader voor een weekend Haarlem!

Waren in einer persönlich geführten Unterkunft, die mit viel Freude und geschmack eingerichtet wurde. Da stört ein WC im Gang überhaupt nicht. Rundum wohl Packet, da auch seht hübsch gelegen.

Heel gastvrij ontvangen. Fijne kamer met heerlijk bed. Alles wat we nodig hadden en meer. Zelfs havermelk voor in de koffie. Rustige energie ‘ondanks’ in het centrum vd stad.

The location was very convenient. The room was sumptious! Everything was so well thought out, every conceivable detail was addressed in the hightest sense possible. Design posh, bathroom clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious. I made small special request and not only was it met--it was met in spectacular fashion. I really appreciated Rob, our very personable host. I love small boutique spaces to support the locals and this was perfection.

There was a bit of construction outside which was completely outside of the host's control so it's almost not worth mentioning. I do believe they were wrapping up though and it was a major project so the area should be serene for future bookings.

This is a fabulous place to stay in Haarlem. Beautiful bedroom, with bathroom and shower room close by. Fridge and sink in the room, with a kettle and coffee machine. Very comfortable bed. Great restaurants and pubs close by. Highly recommend.

Rob hat uns herzlich willkommen geheissen. Guetshousone heisst 1 einziges wunderschönes Zimmer. Wir haben 3 Nächte dort verbracht. Haarlem ist so toll und schön, viele kleine Cafes und Restaurats. Die Leute total entspannt und freundlich. Guetshousone würden wir weiter empfehlen.Vielen Dank Rob

Tolles Zimmer, gute Lage

Sehr kleines Frühstück. Zimmer sehr kalt. Wenig warmes Wasser für 2 Personen zum Duschen.

Ein sehr netter Gastgeber, die Lage ist mitten im Zentrum man merkt es aber nicht, sehr ruhig und schön gelegen. Ein sehr altes Haus, was mit Liebe hergerichtet ist. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und man kann aus 3 Varianten auswählen. Parkhaus 3 Gehminuten entfernt, aber teuer. Dafür kann der Gastgeber nichts, aber Alternativen gibt es nicht wirklich. Ansonsten ist man in 2 Minuten auf dem zentralen Marktplatz, von da aus kann man alles zu Fuß erkunden.

I love the location. It was close to public transit and close to a lot of things and it was very comfortable.

L'amfitriona és molt amable. L'habitació està molt ben equipada amb cafetera, tetera i nevera. Ben situat, en un carrer peatonal al centre i a 15 minuts de l'estació de tren. Des de Haarlem hi ha un autobús directe a keukenhof i també es pot anar a altres camps de tulipans amb el tren.

A l'abril encara fa fred ala Països Baixos, la calefacció no estava en marxa. Ho vam demanar i la van connectar però seguia fent fred al vespre.

Good location; the host was very friendly and helpful. He made sure that we felt welcome in his home.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was very convenient and the rooms themselves were lovely and comfortable and clean. Also enjoyed the breakfast prepared by Rob each morning.

Rob's house is in a very convenient location for visiting Haarlem. It is within 10 minutes walk of just about everything, and also close to bus stops. The stop for the number 300 bus direct to the airport is 3 minutes walk. Several cafes at the Botermarkt are just around the corner. The room itself is on the ground floor and very comfortable and well equipped.

I loved the quietness of staying in Haarlem and how quaint this guesthouse was. I felt very safe.

Toen wij aankwamen was Rob niet thuis. Wij zijn vriendelijk ontvangen door de buurvrouw. Het was 'n mooi B&B, historisch gezien. Lekkere chocolaatjes lagen er voor ons en een schaaltje nootjes. Fijne bedden. Ruime kamer.

Eigenlijk alleen het ontbijtje; dat was wat klein. We hadden verwacht dat we 'n aantal broodjes zouden krijgen... Er was alleen jam voor op 't croissantje, we hadden ook graag nog 'n broodje kaas gelust...

Ruime luxe kamer van alle gemakken voorzien.

Wir wurden herzlich Empfangen. Die Lage 2min vom Parkhaus (31€/Tag!) Bushaltestelle, Supermarkt ist super.

Leider kann man die Fenster im Zimmer nicht öffnen, zu mind. Haben wir es nicht geschafft. Dadurch wird es irgendwann recht warm im Zimmer.

De kamer was erg warm. Er was geen airco of mogelijkheid om extra te ventileren.

Ontbijt, dit was voor een b&b net iets te beperkt. Wat we hadden was erg lekker, maar smaakte naar meer. Rest van de voorzieningen waren echt top.

Very beautiful (and high-tech!) bedroom, with a separate loo and bathroom across the hallway. Centrally located in Haarlem, but the quiet pedestrian street meant it was very quiet at night. Especially liked the warm welcome and farewell from resident ginger cat Lola (NB: She's not allowed in the bedroom, so cat allergy sufferers need not worry). Thanks Rob for a lovely stay, and for the handmade chocolates and nuts!

Breakfast (egg, croissant, juice, muesli, tea and coffee) was very nice but on the small side, especially as we were cycling 70km that day. However, there are supermarkets nearby, and crockery and cutlery, so we simply added our own extras.

Perfectly located - easily accessible by public transit, so much within walking distance! On a quiet, cozy side street in a beautiful neighborhood. The host, Robert, is delightful - attentive and available to answer questions. He made our stay so comfortable.

Location and comfort

The hosts are lovely, the room is comfy and well equipped. The location can't be bettered. It's on a quiet side street, but only 5-10 minutes walk to the centre. A couple of hundred metres from the bus stop where the 300 bus from the airport drops you off, or alternatively 15 minutes walk from the rail station. Plenty of fine eating and drinking to be had nearby.

The text says there is a private entrance, we took this to mean that our room and private bathroom would be separate from the main body of the property. Actually you enter through the front door like anyone else, and the bedroom/bathroom/shower room are arranged around a central hallway, which is the main thoroughfare into the house. This was the only aspect which was less than ideal, and may have been down to our imperfect understanding.

The room exceeds the expectations of the most demanding traveler. It is quiet, clean and comfortable, with everything you need. The sights of Haarlem are within walking distance: the Frans Hals Museum, Grote Sint-Bavokerk, the Molen De Adrian Museum. The owner Rob is hospitable and attentive, has excellent taste, I was especially pleased with the small but such pleasant details. Thank you very much dear Rob, everything was ХОРОШО!))

We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay at Guest House One. Rob was a very welcoming host and took great care providing little extras to make our stay special. His French breakfast delivered in the morning was wonderful.

This place is very tastefully decorated, and the host Robert has thought of everything you may need. Breakfast was lovely. 😻 we went to a restaurant on the corner called Frenchies, delicious we would thoroughly recommend this as well. ❤️

The apartment locates in a central, but quiet pedestrian street, all the main sites are in the walking distance. The host - Robert- was very kind, he met us at the corner of the street, helped with the luggage, told about the history of the building, that is a historical monument. The breakfast, that was very good, was served for us In the morning.

Excellent location in lovely Haarlem. Very comfortable bed. Would go back for sure!! Heritage building with thick walls make the room a cool respite from the heat, which is a bonus!

These accommodations are very lovely. The room is beautiful with all of the comforts you would want. Robert was very helpful and accommodating. It has a perfect location that is very close to city center while still remaining quiet. We loved it here and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Robert, the owner was really helpful to us. The spotlessly clean room was on the ground floor - no stairs! There was no noise from outside. The decor was stunning. The bed was really comfortable. We had no issues with the toilet and bathroom being outside the bedroom as the ground floor is private to the guests in the accommodation. We had no issues with the lack of opening windows - the ventilation through the venting system was perfectly adequate. Haarlem is a lovely friendly alternative to the overpriced city nearby!

The introduction to the technology in the room was a little overwhelming after a long journey - but apart from that it was a perfect stay.

We had a really lovely, comfortable room. The decorations were really beautiful. We enjoyed having great coffee available. The bathroom was spotless. The bed was heavenly and there was a nice area to sit. Christa welcomed us and couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. We had the petite breakfast which was filling and delicious.

Terrific host, beautiful room, great location, lovely decor (especially the exquisite chandelier over the bed), plus delicious breakfast delivered or us daily. Beautiful historic property on a quiet street.

Room was beautiful and had everything you could need, Rob took the time to explain everything in the room to us, rain shower was fabulous and everything was pristine. A very comfortable bed and if we revisit Harleem we will definitely return.

Guesthouse One was the perfect place to stay at the end of a four week holiday travelling solo. Rob is an excellent host. He could not do enough for me and very helpful with any questions I had re Haarlem and surrounds. Breakfast every morning was wonderful and the guesthouse is central to everything. The bus stop to the airport is a five minute walk and the best and cheapest option. 10 minutes to the train station and spoilt for choice with restaurants and cafes. The attention to every detail in the room was also appreciated. If I’m ever in the Netherlands again, wouldn’t hesitate to book Guesthouse One again.’
