We were left an abundance of supplies to make a hearty breakfast which we did not expect. Both Paul and Caroline greeted us and made us feel very much at home. It was a well set out and presented property. They even had friendly goats to greet us.

Only a small issue would be better lighting over cooking/kitchen area.

Paul welcomed you with a smile. He showed you all the facilities and gave you a run down on how everything worked. Cottage was amazing and well set out. Definitely big enough for solo traveller. It also would be lovely for a couple. Location was great. Secluded country ambience. The only noise was from the animals and the wind. If you are looking for peace and quiet look no further

The warm welcome from Paul, the host, made us feel right at home. The accommodation itself was clean, comfortable and top tier. I would definitely recommend to anyone exploring the local area that they should stay here. We'll certainly be back!

Single room property with good sized bed, small kitchenette and table & chairs. Good sized bathroom. Parking in front of cottage.

What started off as a reasonable stay deteriorated dramatically when after our departure we received an abusive text from the owner accusing us of being rude, not cleaning properly, putting things in the wrong spots and even stealing their pen. We washed and put away dishes, wiped down stove and yes we forgot to clean out fridge. If you stay here make sure you take photos so you put things back where they were and save yourself the abuse. The fridge has missing holders in the door meaning you have to lie down any bottles (milk etc). On arrival the fridge had a lot of used sauces, mayonnaise etc leaving no room for our fridge items. They need to clear out this stuff as I wouldn’t use it – who knows how long it’s been there. Bathroom window has mould around it. We travel extensively and have never had anyone treat us like this before. Some people should not be in this industry (We were in hospitality for 45 years prior to retirement)

Ho apprezzato che venissero offerti oggetti che un turista può aver scordato come un detergente viso o un assorbente, inoltre ho apprezzato il silenzio e la calma che circondano la casa, ci tornerei sicuramente

We had a wonderful stay here at McCaffertys . It is a lovely compact space with everything you could need. We had a lovely welcome from Paul and he also provided a welcome pack of bacon, eggs and cereals . Also tea, coffee, milk and sugar were provided. It is in a lovely rural setting a few kilometers outside the village but with lovely walks along country roads. Bathroom also deserves a mention very roomy with an excellent shower and once again lots of shampoo, shower gel etc provided. Plenty to do in the area . Paul gave us tips on what to see and do. It is great to see that Irish hospitality is alive and well in Co Letrim. Thank you Paul and Caroline.

When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the host. He was extremely enthusiastic to show us around the accommodation as well as providing us with awesome recommendations of places to eat. Room was extremely comfortable with everything you could need. Really wish we had stayed longer. But we will definitely be back.

Absolutely nothing!

Simply perfect. The best B&B we experienced in Ireland. Absolutely friendly and welcoming hosts Paul and Caroline. The separate building featured everything one could wish for in a B&B, including a small kitchenette (equipped with all necessary basics for a breakfast), en-suite bath room, cozy bed etc. Special greetings also to the lovely goats living next door.

Paul and Caroline went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and comfortable. They had no problem organising us a taxi when we needed to attend a wedding and even helped to get some dressed up pictures with their lovely goats! The facilities were spotless and very nicely decorated, and they even included some breakfast items and snacks that were very well received the morning after! Would highly recommend, thanks again!

What's not to like! Paul and Caroline are super. We are so delighted we came across their piece of luxury. They've thought of everything - breakfast bits, Columbian coffee, even games! Could easily stay for so much longer. Very clean, very comfy, peaceful, nestled in the countryside, what more do you need.

Le logement bénéficie d’un environnement très calme, entouré de verdure, ce qui le rend très reposant. Mention spéciale aux chèvres, absolument adorables ! Nous pouvions les observer depuis la fenêtre de la chambre, et elles se laissent approcher avec beaucoup de curiosité et de gentillesse. 😊 Tout était parfait pour notre séjour, et nous avons apprécié chaque aspect de notre passage. Paul et Caroline avaient eu la délicate attention de nous laisser du lait et du beurre frais dans le réfrigérateur. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié ce geste. Néanmoins, comme nous ne restions qu’une seule nuit, nous avons préféré ne pas les entamer afin d’éviter de laisser des produits ouverts derrière nous. Encore merci pour votre accueil et votre gentillesse !

Mccaffertys was a beautiful hidden gem! Everything was brilliant and Paul was so welcoming! The bed was one of the best nights sleep we had! The breakfast bits were a great add and very much enjoyed! And the goats were a great morning alarm!😂We are already planning to come back for our anniversary <3 thank you so much Paul and Caroline!

Le logement est conforme à la description: 24 m2 mais tout ce qu'il faut: lit confortable, kitchinette, un fauteuil, une petite table, chauffage électrique. La salle de bain attenante est assez grande. Nous n'avons pas cuisiné car nous ne sommes restés que 2 jours. Notre hôte avait laissé de la nourriture en abondance pour le petit-déjeuner (pas de pain, mais nous en avions).

L'évier en coin n 'est pas très pratique pour la vaisselle (mais elle est vite faite!). Un éclairage au-dessus serait un plus.

The accommodation was gorgeous and extremely comfortable, great facilities and even welcoming goats! The owner was amazing, kind and incredibly helpful with local knowledge and insights. I will ONLY stay here on future trips to Leitrim.

Paul and Caroline went above and beyond to host us. They made us feel so welcome. I had mentioned I am a coeliac and they had lots of gluten free options for me when we arrived. Their studio is extremely comfortable and so clean and the goats are a delight to watch. We would definitely recommend these hosts

It’s a cosy cottage owned by a nice couple who have put a lot of thought and detail to the place. It has everything you need for your stay and more. Specially if you want to disconnect.

The road is dark at night, so i would recommend to arrive before.

What's not to like. The hosts are lovely people, the surroundings are serene, the room is spacious and well thought out for a comfortable stay. You can really tell that the hosts are making an effort. The bed was very comfortable, the location is very quiet and undisturbed. The goats that welcome you are icing on the cake. The room is stocked with breakfast materials and the kitchen corner is fully equipped so that you can cook your own meals.

Ideal size and comforts. Nice smell in the room and linen also smelled nice. Very clean and organised. Fridge was stocked with basics which was nice to find. Quiet surroundings. Hosts were nice people and very welcoming. It was lovely to meet you.

Beautiful warm welcome from Paul & the goats! Spotless, well maintained, comfortable, Netflix. Every detail was thought out & mindful.. stocked fridge with breakfast and juice etc I was not expecting the food & toiletries.

The property is a pretty new one bedroom cottage. Paul, host stormed toward us when we arrived. The McCafferty's are really very friendly (we met Caroline the next morning). We talked and laughed a lot. The cottage has a private kitchenette and beautiful bathroom. It is nice, spacious, exceptionally clean, and equipped with all facilities you need. In the morning we were greeted by the two funny goats. Our choice can't be better. We'll be back maybe to see Paul performs with his local band :))

It's an amazing little space to get away from it all. It packs a punch in terms of being the best equipped accommodation I have stayed in, and I have stayed in many. They have thought of everything and are so welcoming and generous as they had the fridge and press stocked with food. Cereals, eggs, sausages, bacon, bread, bottle of orange juice, butter, cheese etc. Everything for a hearty breakfast and more. The space to cook is small but the knives are so sharp and utensils are excellent. The bathroom. Was stocked with bits and bobs and the pillows and bed are so comfy! Paul was very helpful when showing me around and checking in if I was OK. The goats are adorable too.

Great communication prior to arrival and a very warm welcome from Paul on arrival. Lots of supplies in the fridge and cupboard. The tranquility was sublime. Lovely rural location with Pauls 3 goats in the field next to us. Easy access to places of interest and we enjoyed roaming the country lanes and seeing the varied landscape of Leitrim While the property is compact it had everything we needed.

There was nothing to dislike

This was day 5 of our trip and the unit was much more superior to our previous 4 nights Paul was there to walk us through and show us how everything worked and a pleasant surprise was all the extras. Everything to make an Irish breakfast coffee tea etc. The place was spotless and the bathroom was the nicest we had seen. My wife loved the goats.

Was a bit cold inside

Very friendly and welcoming hosts, comfortable and clean apartment with all essentials included. The property is located in a quiet and picturesque location, close enough to all the places of interest, Sligo and Strandhill is only 30 minutes drive, amazing loughs nearby for fishing and a forest for hiking. We definitely would stay here again, thank you Caroline and Paul.

The little touches are what make this place exceptional. There's great attention to detail in everything they provide, and the couple running the place are lovely to chat to and keen to get this place right (which they are!) Kitchen facilities are fantastic for the small space they're in - you could happily stay here for a week as a base to explore and have room and facilities to do it comfortably

Lovely place, very cosy and had everything we needed, owners were exceptionally nice and friendly, offered us Christmas dinner on our stay and allowed us to feed their beautiful family of Goats. I would recommend it to anyone and stay again 100%.There was also Milk, water,eggs, sausages, orange juice,cereal and bread ready for us in the fridge for breakfast, which was a fantastic touch .Thanks very much to Paul and Caroline for their amazing hospitality and friendliness.

Firstly the warmest of welcome from Paul and Caroline. A secluded location so perfect if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city living. Myself and my partner booked as attended a wedding in Markree Castle that was a 20min drive away. Paul and Caroline have done a magnificent job in transforming the outhouse ruins to a lovely little haven with everything you need. An extra heater was provided if we got cold, exceptionally clean, lovely bathroom and a really comfy bed. A fridge full of food to make up a breakfast if we wanted which was a lovely treat. Every tiny detail was thought of, down to toiletries if we had forgotten our own. Lovely co-hosts in the form of 3 goats and a puppy. We were only sad we didn't book an extra night to unwind.

Very recently renovated so everything is brand new. Very comfy bed. Good shower. Spotlessly clean. Hosts really try very hard to make the stay as pleasant as possible. They have though of everything and had a nice selection of food in the fridge for (self made) breakfast.

Wifi wasn't working but it did look like a temporary issue in fairness.

Paul and Caroline the host's couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The apartment was just completed and everything is beautiful,,they even had breakfast supplies which was not expected and a lovely touch. The location is idyllic in the country with playful pet goats in the field next to it,, They recommended a bar restaurant called the Riverbank in Dromahair just two mins away which was excellent for dinner. Everything was 10 out of 10 and will be back as the stay was great value

This is a beautiful little apartment in an idyllic location in the Leitrim countryside. It has been recently renovated and is finished to a very high standard. The accomodation is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need and more. Nothing was too much trouble for the very nice and helpful owners. An excellent range of breakfast choices was provided (self-catered). The added bonus was the gentle bleating of the goats in the field next door as a perfect 8am alarm clock :)
