An outstanding option for a stay in Stratford Ticks all the boxes!
A wonderful getaway- we will be back!
Location is wonderful and we loved that we had our own parking place so close to everything in town. We would definitely stay there again!
Great location. Excellent communication with the host. Walking distance to most of the theatres and dining/shopping.
A quaint boutique hotel in one of Ontario’s most charming cities. Highly recommended.
Parking was good, easy to find
Amazing!! Everything was wonderful.
Very quaint spot - very clean and easy to access and use. Love the simple yet elegant touches... will definitely be back when were next in Stratford...
Easy check in ,friendly and helpful host
Two thumbs up!
Excellent location for walking to any of the Festival theatres and shopping an restaurants were just outside of your door. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.
The only issue was not being able to watch the evening news on the television.
The Perth County Inn is located steps from the lovely Shakespearean Gardens and Avon river. It's owner is very helpful and quick to respond to questions or concerns. One caution I would give is that the Inn is located on a busy traffic route - Ontario Street, so I would suggest rooms other than the "City View" which overlooks Ontario Street. The Relic Apartment, which I stayed in, is above a bar - and on Friday night I could hear the thumping base of their music until 1:30 AM.
We enjoyed our stay at Perth County Inn, Stratford. It is very accessible, close to everything you want to see in Stratford, cleanly kept, quiet. Recommend without hesitation.
Easy check in. Close to everything and enjoy the dedicated free parking.
Really lovely apartment. The river suite has great views and is quite spacious! The kitchen was well equipped and clean. The only thing to note is that the parking is a block away (but you can pull over behind the Inn and unload your car). Would definitely recommend!
Great location for visiting the Festival. Walk to everything! Nice, quiet facility and the room is charming!
The friendly assistance from Bruce. Much appreciated.
Park your car and wander. The Perth County Inn is perfectly located for a convenient walkable stay in Stratford. Everything you might require is nearby. It is also nicely appointed inside for a comfortable stay. The host, Bruce is gracious, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Very nice boutique type room. Good location.
Very close to the theatre, plenty of parking at the court house
Great location for ease of access to all theatres, dining, and strolls along the river. However, it’s a busy location, so expect traffic noise at night.
Third time in Stratford, third time staying at Perth County Inn! Perfect location and fabulous rooms.
A charming room, bright and clean with some very fun character. Everything you need! Its also right downtown with a short walk to basically everything. Great owner who went out of their way to make sure we were having a good stay and made sure our bikes were safe. Will be staying here again.
The property is in an excellent location and central to all the theatres with lovely restaurants within walking distance. It is very convenient to have a parking spot just outside the door. The room was very quaint and lovely and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. we will definitely come back.
Clean, comfortable and great communication with checking in.
The Celebration Room at the Perth County Inn in Stratford is not merely a room. It is a stage, a whispering chamber of memory and possibility, where the walls seem to lean in with their own stories. Rumour says some certain writers - well-known for sharpening their pens on the marrow of life—scribbled some pages here. I believe it. The window desk overlooks the river, and rivers, as every writer knows, carry not just water but ideas. The current drifts, and so does the mind. In the morning, the room fills with the perfume of bread rising from the Painting Baker below—a small and delicious reminder that art and sustenance are not so different. Both require patience, both ask for heat. You write, you bake, you eat, you dream. And then, there is the bath. Not hidden away in the shadows but standing boldly inside the room itself, like a chalice. It invites bubbles of every kind—soap, champagne, laughter. To lower yourself into its depths feels less like bathing and more like a declaration: that life is meant to be celebrated, not endured. The location is perfect—close enough to the heart of Stratford to feel the hum of theatre and history, yet just apart enough that you can hear yourself think, or hear a story slipping into being. Stay here, and you might find yourself writing too. Or at least, celebrating.

We appreciated that this self-entry style room was located in the heart of downtown Stratford. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere. We noticed that many things in the apartment were damaged / showing signs of wear, like a broken door handle, stained mugs, hard water deposits and wires from lights not plugged in and wrapped around lights. I also expected this to be an actual inn with on-site parking, a reception and lounge based on the photos. The beds were very comfortable and the decorations were nicely dine and classy.
The hotel was an excellent choice for Stratford, very walkable to the major attractions, free parking, a nicely designed room with everything you need. Bruce was really responsive with checking instructions, the amenities were all great. Highly recommend!
Lovely room with a fantastic host. We both loved the Perth County Inn and can’t wait to go back!
Clean and convenient. Room is beautifully decorated
Heritage building newly renovated. Unfortunately our instructions gave us the wrong room number so it took several tries before we figured it out.
Clean and comfortable. Perfect location for theatre, shopping and restaurants.
Great accommodations, clean comfortable and close to cafe, shops and waterfront. Highly recommended.
Huge room that had everything we required for a comfortable stay.
Easy check in great location
The location is convenient. The rooms have character and are very comfortable. The Lobby Bar and the coffee shop in the same building are very convenient. Would highly recommend staying here.
Very clean, beautiful room, excellent location and terrific service from Bruce!
We were greeted by the owner who was very helpful getting us settled, and who not only told us of the ammenities here, arranged a reservation for dinner. The accommodations were so central clean and comfortable with alot of amenities. We will be certainly be rebooking here as the experience was exceptional.
no privacy for showering!! would not stay again
The Perth County Inn is pure Stratford sunshine! From the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a warm hug wrapped in style. The rooms are sparkling clean, with bedding so comfortable you might just sleep through your morning plans. Each space has that perfect mix of cozy charm and creative spark — like every corner has a story to tell. Its location couldn’t be better — just a stroll from the theatres, gardens, and riverside walks, yet tucked away enough to be your peaceful retreat. Whether you’re starting the day with coffee and sunshine or winding down after a night at the theatre, the Inn wraps you in comfort and joy. If Stratford is a love letter to the arts, the Perth County Inn is its warm, handwritten signature.
Lovely place, spacious, clean and most welcoming! Great location and close to everything! We will definitely be coming back!
Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the theatres. Simple and tasteful finishing and very clean interiors. No-fuss parking and straightforward self-check-in. Full kitchen. Comfy beds. There is an outside seating space at the side of the Inn with a flower garden that is buzzing with bees!
Great bakery next door. Easy walking to 2 of the festival theaters & dining options. We enjoyed our stay.
Immaculately clean and supplied all our needs - lots of towels, great coffee machine, wine glasses, comfortable bed and a love seat. Perfectly air-conditioned as it was very hot outside. Loved the deck with the art installation.
We had a wonderful stay. Our studio was clean, contemporary and very comfortable for the two of us. Very easy check in and the location was perfect and walkable to all shops, restaurants, parks and theatre. Parking was close by and included with our stay. The host was very easy to deal with . We will definitely like to stay again at this very charming place:)
We were assigned the Night Owl room which is on the ground floor. You can see into the room from the sidewalk, there is no blind to completely block out the lights. There is also a door that allows entrance to our room directly from the street level; it was locked of course but we definitely felt uneasy. Our room is right next to the bathrooms of the SpeakEasy bar, and you can hear everything. Last call at the bar was 11:45 pm (Friday/ Saturday) so we could hear drunk people coming in and out past midnight. We found the check-in/ out process easy, and the location was convenient but would never stay here again.
We loved the room, check in was easy - the hotel was great- parking was amazing!
It was a great time. Good stay, no complaints - easy check in
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bedrooms were cosy and beds were very comfortable. It felt like a home away from home.
Such an amazing location, close to the river and the Shakespearean Gardens. Room was very clean with impressive interior design. I will be looking forward to stayibg here again the next time we visit Stratford!
The property is nice though I had a hard time because it does not have an elevator . There was a mishap n the bathroom and hopefully that will be fixed permanently However, the staff and owner were very nice and supportive The owner specifically was very accommodating and was very nice to show us around the neighborhood So yes, I will still come back and visit this property agan
Met Bruce soon after I arrived. He was super friendly and welcoming. I had only been there 30 minutes and was already planning when I would be back with my wife. Can't say enough about the property, the owner, and the location. Perfect!!
.
We are return customers and loved our stay. It’s clean, convenient and love the river view. The assessable coffee shop out front is perfect for a latte and a fresh scone.
Great place to stay in Stratford - well-furnished, clean and convenient. We loved the attached cafe as well.
Very comfortable stay for 2 parents and one child. Easy access to the Festival and to shopping. Self serve hotel, no staff on site but instructions on how to connect with staff were given. Parking is 1.5 blocks away and suite was up a flight of stairs with no elevator. No problem for us, but may be a consideration for others. Overall, great stay. Will go back!
Brice and his staff were incredible !!! I would highly recommend staying here -I’ll be back
Great location, easy self service access, room had character and charm. Small but well appointed. Loved it
The venue was close to theatres and parks
Great little room, perfect location, meticulously clean! And we liked that we just got codes for the door and room and didn't have to go through a check-in or check-out process.
We stayed overnight and saw a show at the Avon which was nice and close
What is not to love about this property? It's right on the main street, about five minutes from two of the theatres, surrounded by great shops and eateries. The bed was comfortable, room clean and we used the coffee maker and kettle. Definitely will be back! Thanks for the great stay!
Beautiful clean space to relax
Each room has a unique personality. Staff is super friendly, gave recomnadations of places to go and just overall a super great experience!
Absolutely wonderful stay. The owner of this inn goes above and beyond for his guests. I’ve already recommended this inn to many people based on the hospitality of its owner. Great location. Saw two plays at the Festival.
Lovely location: lots of wonderful shops and restos in an eminently walkable area.
A return trip and loved it just as much as the first time. The heritage building has been lovingly transformed into cosy suites that are comfy, clean, reasonable and a pleasure to spend to time in Stratford. The rooms are small and there is more restaurant. But why worry about that? You’re surrounded by lovely restaurants and coffee shops. The hotel has a delightful deck that’s inviting and cozy. And you’re right where you wanna be when you’re in Stratford walking distance to the theatres and even shorter walk down to the riverside trail area. And it’s a delightful change from more traditional hotels that really don’t have any character or charm. This has it all. and at a very reasonable price too.
Location was excellent. Owner was very pleasant and helpful, offering plenty of tips and suggestions for things to do in town. The inn was very clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. This is the perfect place to stay in downtown Stratford.
Great place to stay out. Returned customer
A Beautiful Stay Full of Historic Charm – Room 1832 I stayed at the Perth County Inn while attending the theatre in Stratford, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. I was in Room 1832, which perfectly blends historic charm with modern comfort. The room is thoughtfully designed and full of character—high ceilings, vintage touches, and a peaceful, timeless feel. The view of the river from my window was truly special. Watching the light shift over the water added such a calming presence to my stay—perfect after a day of exploring town or enjoying a show at any of Festival Theatres, The location couldn’t be better: right in the heart of Stratford, walkable to theatres, charming shops, and great restaurants. I'll be back!

This was a nice and unique option for a stay in Stratford. Better than staying in a strip motel. Great location downtown.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Such a gem in Stratford. The location is walkable to all things that Stratford offers, and with a beautiful view of the river. We can not wait until we return again!
Loved the location to everything we needed for a fantastic trip
Great location. Comfortable and clean. Spacious
Perfect spot to take in Stratford ... easy walking distance to theatres. River view
Great room, great location. Love the little patio outside. Parking - but a couple of blocks away contactless entry was flaky once and wouldn't let us in. Bathroom Shower was nice but with no grabholds or even a shelf for shampoo
This was a great property for a visit to the theater festival, great location overlooking the river, with great restaurants and a bakery just steps away. Theaters are a short walk away. The room was glean and quiet, just what we needed. Would recommend to anyone visiting the city.
We felt right at home as soon as we walked in! Bruce was easy to reach, friendly, attentive. Nice to be close to shops and restaurants, and also the theatre. 10/10!
Walking access to river, theatre and restaurants. Close to heavy traffic and noisy intersection. Windows need sound reduction blinds and curtains.
Location near town Center, property condition, and general ambience were perfect for my stay.
Sensational location, host, room- we will return!!
Very clean comfortable! like home, we will come again!
Our stay was delightful! Our mini apartment was very clean, spacious, and well appointed. The location is perfect - walkable to the theaters, restaurants, and shopping. We will return for sure!
Location is perfect—right on the main drag—and the host was amazing. Will definitely stay here again.
Great stay.
Very comfortable room, loft style with wide plank pine floors brick wall and high ceilings. Had great lattes at the connected coffee bar, and cocktails at the Relic lobby bar. Great welcoming people everywhere.
Terrific option for a family right downtown
Easy to access, great location and perfect for a little getaway
Great unit! Large, beautiful and clean!
Lovely big 2-bedroom space with full kitchen and large living area. Right in the heart of downtown, close to shopping, restaurants and theatre. Manager was very helpful.
Great time
Didn’t expect to sleep in a Murphy bed. Kind of like your parents pull out couch. Very clean facility. There is a speak easy in the facility so don’t expect to sleep until 1 am. Very noisy.
Fabulous place, amazing location….. perfect
Property was clean, comfortable, and centrally located.
The room was so FUN! Clean, comfortable and excell
I stay at the Perth County Inn regularly, and it never disappoints. The rooms are full of character, always clean and cozy, with thoughtful touches throughout. The location is perfect—right downtown, close to theatres, shops, and the river. The staff are warm and welcoming, and the whole place has a calm, boutique charm that makes every visit special. It truly feels like a home away from home.
I would sty there again.
