We needed a private bathroom. We didn’t stay
Lovely!
Great room, and fun to interact with other travelers!
A beautiful BNB on a farm. Clean and confortable bed and home make soaps. The breakfast was delicious with coffee. We sat around in the evening with other travellers. Very quiet and peaceful. We had access to a kitchen and great room.
Very unique property. Lovely room and great breakfast. Wonderful host
A lovely rural stay
Great place
Breakfast was wonderful. Enjoyed visiting with the other guests. First time at a BnB, would like my own bathroom, have to share with the other 3 rooms.
A wonderful place with wonderful hosts. Very welcoming and personable. Plus the dog and cat were very cute
Clean, comfortable bedroom with small ensuite. We enjoyed the shared kitchen and living space, plus a home-cooked breakfast that included local eggs, produce, smoked ham. Eco-friendly options, such as a shampoo bar, instead of plastic bottles of product. The friendly owners and staff really made our stay enjoyable.
Nice to meet other travelers. Fresh produce for breakfast. Given opportunity to feed the pig but couldn't find her! :-)
A very cozy place to stay with friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent sourcing on site ingredients and also drove great conversation. The honesty market was a nice touch to support local artists. Highly recommended.
Clean and inviting! Easy access and great trails and scenery right there.
We had a wonderful stay - very relaxing home/ B&B. Super clean and cozy and the inn keeper who made our breakfast was delightful. I even got to feed the apple/food scraps to the pig. Coming from a farming background it was a nice change of pace from a regular hotel. Lastly the locally sourced toiletries in our room from @seasaltandtwig were wonderful.
A delicious breakfast almost entirely comprised of products raised on their own farm personally cooked and served by the lovely host! She was a delight and full of knowledge and a great storyteller! Highly recommend!
Absolutely wonderful.. comfortable bed .. all our needs supplied .. breakfast was excellent..
Easy to find, check in, clean, modern, felt.very comfortable. Exactly what was needed after driving all day.
Beautiful farmhouse, very comfortable - highly recommend
A very comfortable bnb surrounded by some veggie farming and a few animals. The charcuterie board and salad made for a delightful dinner at the end of the day. Bring your own drinks, tho.
Good breakfast, quiet location.
Beautiful property, convenient self check in, great breakfast and conversation. Only downfall for us was a shared bathroom, but that is the room and price point we paid for. Would recommend if are ok driving for dinner, nothing really close by
It’s a lovely place to stay
Check in was easy and straightforward. The house was very clean and well equipped. It was nice to meet fellow travellers and share a wonderful breakfast. Thank you Ingrid!
Our host greeted us when we arrived and made us feel at home. Our room was beautiful and had a nice private deck for star gazing. The kitchen was shared but available for everyone who was staying in the bed and breakfast. There were fresh vegetables and salads available from the garden that could be purchased. The sitting area had lots of books if someone needed reading material and also provided items to purchase from local farms around the area. All of these items were available to be sampled in the kitchen as well. We walked a couple of houses down and met the beekeeper and shopped in their craft and honey product store which was lovely. Our host provided suggestions of where we could find the Gros Morne coffee roasters so we had a great visit with them and were able to purchase some coffee beans to bring back with us. We learned so much from the owners. The breakfast that was prepared for us in the morning was delicious and Ingrid taught us some Newfoundland sayings while we ate. We had a great stay, will definitely recommend to others and look forward to returning.
Quiet and well maintained. Owners very friendly. Good breakfast.
This was our first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the unique Upper Humber Settlement. Breakfast each morning of our stay was fresh from the farm. Ingrid, who provided us with our breakfast, would join us at our table after serving us to talk about what we had done the previous day & what we were planning to do that day. She would provide us with information on the area & Newfoundland in general. Great introduction to Newfoundland hospitality.
Such a great place. Too bad we were not able to stay long. There is a shared bathroom, that was very clean. They offer a breakfast, which was probably outstanding with all their fresh fruits, vegetables and eggs - yes they have chickens, geese, lambs and vegetable gardens and strawberries growing there. However, we had to leave early to catch the ferry and we’re still offered a great continental breakfast. Such a refreshing and relaxing place to stay. A glimpse of living close to the land. They also host my add-ons, including farm to table experience.
Very comfortable attractive accommodations. Excellent breakfast. Friendly welcoming hosts, providing knowledgeable insight into farming practices in central Newfoundland, as well as social traditions.
Wonderful B&B with comfortable accommodation and environment. Breakfast was excellent.
I liked that the common room area was large so we could relax and talk with other guests about our vacation adventures. Also, the breakfast made for use was very good and with lots of options.
We loved the farm to table breakfast and visiting with the farm animals. The bed was comfy and the entire farmhouse was spotless.
Surbooker
I knew this was a working farm but I didn’t expect construction noise and no water upon arrival. Our room was spacious and comfortable but not sound proof at all. You can hear the other guests in the common spaces as well as getting up in the night. The opening and closing of doors is not quiet. You’ll also hear the staff in the early morning making breakfast and other guests chatting. Breakfast was disappointing. I thought it was going to be a delicious big farm breakfast. It was 2 overcooked hard boiled eggs, toast, a very small dish of yogurt, a couple of cherry tomatoes and green onions. There were also mediocre scones. Unfortunately, i I can’t say I found our stay relaxing nor peaceful. And the mosquitoes…!!! Oh well, we tried something different. It just wasn’t for us.
Lovely farm stay with lots of beautiful details. If you are looking for a personalized experience I can highly recommend this property
Very nice, quiet place to stay. Beautiful home cooked breakfasts provided or self serve if you need to leave early. Transportation in and out of Deer Lake is limited, so they even provided me with an early morning ride to the airport for a small fee. Id defintely book here again if I was in the area.
Great
Ran out of peanut butter, milk, cream and all juices but one on day one and did NOT replenish for day 2! The little amount of meat served was only enough for a 4 year old. Friendly though
Tres confortable, déjeuner excellent.
A unique, comfortable, and very friendly spot to enjoy some downtime. The facilities were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. A fabulous homemade breakfast in the morning was followed by a tour of their working farm. A great experience all around at a reasonable price.
It was a lovely stay here at the farm house thanks to the kind hosts and owners. They made delicious breakfast and suggested lots of places to visit, also learned alot from the conversations we had. Will book this place again in the future.
Everything perfect
I liked that the food was sourced locally and came directly from the farm.
Perfect for a nice quiet stay in the country. Very reasonably priced and homey atmosphere. I was without a vehicle, so taxi from the airport cost me $50. Beautiful fresh cooked breakfasts provided as well as some self serve items. It would have been nice to have some options for other meals. I'd defiinitely come back if I was ever in the area again, but I'd rent a car.
Very comfortable and farm to table atmosphere was lovely.
I really enjoyed being at a farm and breakfast from the farm. The hospitality was great. I got to feed the pig and have a walk around the farm.
Fun Farm experience feeding animals with farm to table breakfasts and optional special dinner with story telling. Food was fresh and delicious! The staff and owners were amazing.
Beautiful property, house, and breakfast! Quiet area and r7ral
Très belle place confortable, avec un très bon service. Déjeuner excellent!
Great quiet place. Haven after a long day of adventure. Excellent breakfast.
Confortable et tranquille
They have worked very hard to make the house and apartments/rooms very nice. Breakfast was outstanding. The other guests were very nice and we had great conversations. 10 stars.
