The Kayon Valley Resort

This was a nice hotel, but a below average experience. It is definitely not a 5 star hotel - rather a 3 star. The welcoming, facilities, drinks, food and breakfast was very good. The staff is friendly and always smiling. But unfortunately too many things ruined this so called "5 star experience". ​Firstly, reception called our hotel room 3 times during our 3-night stay, which was very disturbing. One call was because they needed our signature for a drink we had earlier. It is not our responsibility that the staff did not ask for the signature when they served us. They could obviously ask us later, for example when we pass by the reception, or at breakfast. The other 2 calls where regarding when they can clean our room. We had already informed that we would like evening cleaning, and were told to use the door signs. But still, they asked us at breakfast, and with 2 calls to our room way ealier the planned time. Whether we were napping, showering, or simply having a romantic time togheter, it is extremely interrupting to be called 3 times. ​Secondly, the staff is constantly asking about our plans for the day. We appreciate the gestures, but at every breakfast we were asked about this multiple times. You should please leave the guest alone to enjoy breakfast without being "interviewed". Even after we answered "We don't know, we will take it as it comes" - you continue to ask about morning, afternoon, and evening plans, while trying to sell us activities we showed no interest in. We just wanted peace and quiet - a ruined experience. ​Also, multiple members of the staff asked us many times pr. day what our room number is. We understand asking at breakfast or when ordering drinks/food. But every time we were just walking around the premesis, we would be asked our room number, often several times by several staff members. For what purpose?

Very beautiful and peaceful hotel, very amazing food and we must highlight the professionality, friendliness and warmth of the entire team, specially Gedé and Yogi! We will definitely come back to this wonderful and charming hotel!

Valley location secures unbeatable views

Overall villa desing was very wrong, in door area extremely small. Overall details from decor to attitude of staff was very mediocre. The hotel felt like a 2-3star property. No quality in details. There was an overall pushy attitude to sell additional services. Some staff members are trying to make too much non sense small talk. To me this hotel looked super tacky and badly maintained.

We had a wonderful stay at The Kayon Valley Resort. The location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush nature and offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our stay, and the service was excellent. Our room was comfortable, beautifully designed, and very well maintained. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would happily stay here again.

There wasn’t much we disliked. One suggestion would be to consider providing better facilities or dedicated equipment for transporting laundry and room-service items around the resort. This would not only make the service more efficient, but also, importantly, help reduce the physical effort for staff and support their well-being while working.

I loved everything about the Kayon Valley Resort. The location is stunning, and waking up surrounded by the beauty of the jungle felt so peaceful and relaxing. The service and food were exceptional. We ate at the restaurant every day and didn’t get bored of the menu. I also had a wonderful massage at the spa. I would highly recommend the hotel, and would definitely book again.

Excellent place, and the staff are amazing! I absolutely loved them. ❤️ They are so welcoming, professional, and hardworking. My heart goes out to them, and I truly thank them for everything.

The resort's impeccable service and comfort enveloped us in a blanket of calm serenity, making every moment of our stay feel effortlessly peaceful. Fantastic, spacious room with an infinity pool overlooking the rainforest. Very comfortable, quiet, and well kept. Food in the Kapiti restaurant was superb with a mix of indonesian and western. Service from all the staff was fantastic . Always friendly and with a smile. No complaints and would recommend to anyone.

Only (minor) downside was that breakfast was all brought to the table almost at the same time rather than being spaced out allowing you to finish one course before being served the next. Meant the table got a little cluttered and some of the food not as warm as it could have been. Nothing that couldn't be easily fixed :)

Niestety nie pamiętamy imion wszystkich pozostałych pracowników, ale każdy z nich zasługuje na ogromne uznanie za profesjonalizm i życzliwość. Wyjeżdżając, już tęskniłam za tym miejscem. To był wyjątkowy pobyt i z całego serca możemy polecić ten hotel. Na pewno jeszcze tu wrócimy! ❤️

Generally pleasant, staff very helpful, gym onsite, easy to arrange excursions / transfers, beautiful gardens and view over the valley.

It is unreasonable at $500 / night for events onsite to impose very loud dance music late into the evening. This was our second stay, however I would not stay again for this reason.

Staff were amazing, service was flawless, place was great! Nothing bad to say about it at all? Definitely recommended anyone who is trying to spend time in u is to stay here. Defiantly the best option by far as other places are not on this level.

Nothing, just went opening doors be careful of ants and few insects but that is something u can’t control in ubud, the resort is well ahead of that and has measures in place to stop them from entering property, even if they do they die.

I had a wonderful stay at this resort and was truly impressed by every aspect of it.The view from the restaurant was amazing. The staff were exceptional—always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly kind. They made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout my stay.The food was amazing and I really enjoyed dining there. The entire property is stunning. The view from the private villa was also stunning. The villa also offered a very private atmosphere. The peaceful and private atmosphere makes it a perfect place to relax and unwind. From my terrace, I was able to watch monkeys. They were peaceful and did not come close, and it was a very special experience for me to observe them. I was traveling alone as a woman and always felt very comfortable and safe, especially thanks to the wonderful staff. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a calm and beautiful place to stay.

Amazing amenities, very comfortable and well-maintained rooms, friendly staff, special thanks to Yudi, Nano, Chantika, Cocoka and Arsa who provided exceptional service. The evening live performance is very nice, and the shuttle service to their sister resort was a very nice perk.

The resort is absolutely beautiful, the villas are really private, and the staff is wonderful.

The hotel is very close to the city center, which made getting around extremely convenient. The view was absolutely stunning, creating a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere throughout our stay. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, making us feel truly valued. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were comfortable, and the food was delicious. The spa and massage services were also excellent and one of the highlights of our experience. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and a hotel we would definitely choose again.

No se ni como describir el trato y este hotel, para empezar, nada mas llegar nos comentaron que nos realizaban un upgrade gratuito a una de las mejores villas que tienen. La villa una pasada, con piscina e hidromasaje, dos alturas, una habitacion enorme... una verdadera maravilla. Villaen vendte forkert i forhold til solen, der var kun morgensol. Der er virkelig stejlt ned til og op fra villaen (man kan blive kørt et godt stykke, men det sidste stykke med trapper, skal man naturligvis selv gå) Vi kunne godt klare trapperne og bakkerne, men vi var fuldstændigt svedige når vi nåede toppen. Personalet er søde, men det kunne godt blive for meget når 4 spurgte om det samme til morgenmad, frokost og aften)

Wir waren erst nicht sicher was uns erwartet, da wir zu sehr auf negative Reviews uns fokussierten. Das Hotel war wirklich atemberaubend was die Lage und Anlage angeht! Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit zu jeder Zeit! Das Frühstück war sehr schön (a la carte). Wir hatten während unseres Aufenthalts keine Mücken oder sonstiges, worauf wir eigentlich uns mental vorbereitet hatten im Jungel :-). Wir haben einzig eines Mittags Affen auf den Dächern beobachtet, lasst also kein Essen draußen! Die Aussicht aus der Villa war wirklich atemberaubend schön! Die Villa selbst war sehr sauber und schön! Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Perfect service, great breakfast, extremely friendly stuff

It was perfection, looking out over the jungle, short shuttle to the main town, just minutes to beautiful waterfalls. We loved it.

We didn’t stay long enough to have any constructive feedback. It really was a great experience.

Понравилось место расположение, вид на очень красивые и красочные джунгли. Просто невероятной красоты зелень. Мы были в феврале, останавливались на 3 дня, все дни был ливень. Понравился спа массаж. Завтраки хорошие, но могли бы быть лучше.

Не понравилось то, что нам дали не тот номер. Мы покупали номер вид на долину, но нам почему-то предложили с доплатой. Я считаю это обманом со стороны отеля.

Delicious food, outstanding staff, fire dancing, amazing infinity pool, outstanding view to the jungle, daily visiting monkeys, no mosquitos.

The location is beautiful with stunning views of the jungle covered valley. The staff are wonderful, friendly and attentive. We stayed 4 nights and ate at the hotel restaurant every night. The food is amazing and chicken satay was the best we’ve ever had. The pool is beautiful and has nice sun loungers. The yoga Shala is beautiful and has wonderful views .we mainly used it ourselves for personal practice. The gym was well equipped and the spa very relaxing. The rooms with the pools are very large and comfortable.

There are a lot of steps but buggys are available if needed.

Warm welcome, easy check in. Very friendly staff. Privacy in the villa with a nice view from the balcony. Efficient and smartly designed villas. Daily entertainment, dance and music live performed during the dinner hours.

Lots of rain in the evening however this is the time of the year and of course out of the control of the property.

남편이 이 뷰를 너무 좋아했어요! 우붓이 딱 이런느낌이구나 싶은 울창한 숲 뷰 너무 예뻤습니다! 식당 음식도 너무 맛있었구요! 조식이 포함되어있었는데 조식도 너무 맛있었어요! 배불러서 3개밖에 못먹은게 너무 아쉽네요! 그리고 특히 아침에 한 요가수업이 너무 좋았습니다~ 따라가기 힘든 동작도 있었지만 아침에 기분도 너무 상쾌 하구요~ 사진도 예쁘게 나오더라구요! 수영장도 예쁜데 아쉬운건 11시부터 사용가능이라 ㅠㅠ 그날 체크아웃해야하는 저희는 이용못했습니다! spa 도 체크인 시간보다 일찍 와서 이용했는데 너무 좋았구요! 비오는데 빗소리 들으면서 마사지 받으니까 좋았어요~ 가운도 유니크 하더라구용 ㅎㅎ 위치는 우붓 시내랑 차타고 15분정도? 라서 그랩 부르면 되구용 시내 데려다주는 셔틀도 있는데 시간 배차가 이용하긴 어려워요 카욘 내 다른 리조트로 셔틀도 있는데 굳이? 안갔는데 다들 많이 다녀오시나봐요~ 2박 한다면 한번쯤 가볼만 할것같네요~

아쉬운건 딱히 없는데요! 아쉽다면 1박만 예약했다는점일까요??? 개인 수영장은 조금 작긴한데 그래도 충분히 즐길정도는 됩니다

Мы остались очень довольны нашим пребыванием в этом прекрасном отеле, расположенном в джунглях. Виды с территории завораживают и создают ощущение уединения и гармонии с природой. Персонал очень дружелюбный и милый, чувствовалось искреннее желание сделать наш отдых комфортным и приятным. Завтраки по меню были вкусными и разнообразными. Это было отличное место для отдыха, и мы с удовольствием вернёмся сюда ещё раз!

The view, the room, the bed and services are most enjoyable. I was really tired with work and I wanted to rest without outside noise. The room and the property is exactly what I was imagine. I wake up feeling blessed and energised ....the room give us such a privacy and exlusive feeling. The property is not crowded as well. The serviced provided for any facilities are exceptional as well. you feel like they are willing to provide you the best service so that you have enjopyable stay.
