The bungalows are away from all the business of the beach area which I enjoyed a lot. The views are very nice and it's super to watch the sunrise. Very quiet place! The owner is extremly helpful and nice. Highly recommend if you want something relaxed away from all the tourists. Would definitely come back.

Super recommended!! Its only 10 minutes drive from the mail road, its on the side of the island that skips the busy traffic of Penida, its peaceful and quiet, and the nature is just stunning! From your bungalow you gonna have a few of mountains, jungle, Agung volcano, ocean and a beautiful sunrise. Its a paradise! The owner is the nicest person too!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ayu Hill Bungalows. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the area was quiet and relaxing. A great place to stay while visiting Nusa Penida. We would definitely recommend it! ❤️

I loved that family place. The private bungalows are surrounded with Nature, beautiful Sunset with partial view of Mount Agung. The family is so nice, heart driven and generous. I loved to be 15mn from main road. In a calm and local area, very restfull. The room has big local shower place. I rented a scooter in very good conditions directly with the Owner who was very kind to bring it to the harbor as I needed it. He took care of my luggages transfert from the another hotel where I was before on Penida while I was coming back from Sanur. And on my way back, to avoid me the terrific morning traffic jam, he arranged direct scooter transportation to ensure my boat leaving time. This is a really warmfull family homestay with private bungalows confortable. I prefered the wood one, they have also bigger new ones. They are very respinsive, kind and good vibes energies. I recommand for confortable, simple and nice bungalows and peacefull environnement.

Nádherná a klidná lokalita. Čisté a pohodlné ubytování. Skvělá energie, hlavně díky majiteli, který je neuvěřitelně pozitivní a ochotný s čímkoliv pomoci a cokoliv zařídit!

Milý personál, přijeli jsme na ubytování dřív a i tak nás ubytovali. Dobrá snídaně za skvělou cenu. Zastřešené parkování na skútr. Krásný výhled a příjemný pobyt v zahradě.

The place is very nice. We arrived early but they accept for us to checking. They also help for scooter rental and late check out. The view is marvelous. The room is spacious and clean

Il posto è bellissimo, immerso nella giungla tropicale. Il proprietario è gentilissimo e super disponibile. L'organizzazione è ottima, abbiamo fatto una tour in barca e affittato lo scooter in loco. La colazione semplice ma buona. È possibile farsi recapitare la cena a domicilio dato che non c'è un ristorante.

Fantastyczni ludzie prowadzą to miejsce i czuje sie w nim niesamowicie dobrą energię :-) polecam z całego serca i napewno wrócę tutaj jak tylko będę na Nusa Penida❤️❤️❤️Ładne, czyste I klimatyczne pokoje z przestronna łazienką i tarasem. Nie chce sie opuszczać tego miejsca. A po intensywny dniu zwiedzania wyspy to miejsce jest bardziej energetyczne niz najlepsze SPA 😍

Beautiful place away from the noise of the streets. In the morning, we were woken up by birds instead of motorbikes. The owner was extremely helpful — I definitely recommend this place for both short and long stays.

The room was really clean and the view was amazing!!! Also the staffs were so kind and helpful, every time I messaged them they responded quickly. Was the best accomodation that I got in this trip!

One of our favourite stays over the last 4 months in Asia!! Everything was perfect! The rooms were amazing with big comfy beds and plenty of room for your stuff, also a balcony to sit and enjoy the serenity and beautiful view over the hills. The main thing you need is a scooter and you can rent one of them for a good price. It’s only about 10-15 minutes from the main strip of restaurants, bars and everything you need, there is some located closer aswell, scattered through the hills. The host is also amazing, helping with everything we needed, and very kind and welcoming. A big bonus is the 30k breakfast and drink that you can get delivered to your balcony at whatever time you like, the omelettes were awesome! I would 100% recommend staying here, amazing!

Everything. The remote location up in the mountains, the beauty of the bungalow and gardens, the staff were very accommodating and helpful, and the breakfast was simple but tasty and I ate it on the porch, watching the sunrise 🌅 They also offer scooters to rent, transport to the harbour and tickets for the ferry at a reasonable price! I would highly recommend this place for a quiet, more remote stay!

This is the best place to stay! The bungalows are beautiful. Of you like peace and jungle this is yor place. Also you have everything you need, from scooters rent , taxis or excursions from the hotel . We had the best time there, the personal is so kind and always be there for every need and even more. Im more than grateful with Made, my birthday was so special in this beautiful place!

I chose this place because it's close to a café I wanted to work from and it was just right. The atmosphere is relaxed, the view is beautiful and everything felt calm and welcoming. There's something refreshingly real about the way Made hosts - he's warm, thoughtful and genuinely helpful. Laundry, scooter rental and even my ticket to Sanur were all sorted with no hassle. I was traveling alone and felt totally safe and comfortable throughout my stay.

Honestly, nothing at all. Everything was easy and just felt right.

Amazing location in the middle of the island surrounded by hills and stunning view. The room looked new, and was clean and big. Very comfortable bed ( maybe little bit to soft for my liking but comfy nevertheless). Very kind owners, happy to come back. Recommend

We stayed 4 nights at Ayu Hill and we had a great time. The bungalows are simple, clean and cozy. You have a great view over green hills and the ocean with Mount Batur. The host Madi and his family are a so lovely, the played with our daughter and are open to a chat with every guest. We had time to talk with them about the culture and traditions. If we’re ever on Nusa Penida again, we’ll go there.

Beautiful property with a great view of Mount Agung. Away from the busy streets of the port and great location to base yourself if you want to see different parts of the island as it is very central. Room was great and staff very helpful

From the first moment Made and Ayu give as a warm welcome to their place, bouth of them help us on every step to get to the islad. Everything that we neaded they were there, they even took us back to the harbour for a very good price comper to others. We are going back just because the host and the family really make our trip much happier. Thank you, Made and Ayu.

Ayu Hill Bungalows was simply amazing. Great room, with heaps of space and a beautiful view. The garden is relaxing and the owner and staff are very accommodating. For this price you simply can't do better. You can order food directly from them and get it deliver to your room. Great WIFI connexion as well. AC Works well.

Lack of proper lights, location

The bed is comfortable. We asked if we could give some laundry for washing and they washed it for extra pay, which was nice.

There was no hairdryer in the room as well as no cups, no kettle. When we checked out, there was no one from the staff around. A girl who stayed there herself called the owner to talk to him about our check out.

great place for privacy. we came here with friends, some of our friends were already live here. we celebrated my birthday and i liked the place so much. i stayed for 5 more days. . very quiet, on the mountain. great view in all directions. the owner is great and always ready to help.. the location is good, so active you are almost in the center of the island. and i really like the green color of the bathtub and the garden inside the bathtub. it creates a special atmosphere..

The excursion in Manta Point wasn't good. We didn't see any Mantas. And other locations were too close to the Toya Pakeh Harbour.

I loved the friendly host and all the bungalows are beautiful and have a nice view. Also the breakfast is ok and they are very punctual with the time you ask for.

It is a bit far from the coast road where all the restaurants are but still ok, a 5-10 min scooter drive.

Very welcoming host! The location is amazing because it is very quiet there in night as it is not in the center!

The location of the property is just mind blowing. If you are planning on a silent and peaceful visit just go for this place.

Best place I experienced on Penida! In mountains so it’s complete silency, not so far from restarurants and shops if u have bike or driver, comfortable bed and sheets! Nice nature and many seating options around.

Gorgeous spot that was quiet and peaceful with beautiful scenery. The little outdoor shaded areas along the view were great for having breakfast and doing some morning yoga. The included breakfast was delicious, particularly the banana pancakes, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

I was initially afraid that I would be too isolated from everything else at Ayu Hills, but with a trusted scooter, staying in the hills was an absolute pleasure! The ride down to the closes beach town (10 min) goes by quickly and it was exhilarating to ride through the jungle and past small charming villages. After a long day out on Penida, coming back to the serenity of Ayu Hills was a treat. The views are stunning, the rooms very comfortable, and Made and his family are so charming and accommodating. Stay here if you’re looking for an authentic experience away of the hustle and bustle of trafic and city life!

The staff members were great. I asked for a TV remote, but they ended up changing the entire TV for me with a smart TV. Also, the room is very cosy with a nice view.

There is not much to do in the location walking distance wise. However, if you can ride a scooter (They provide a scooter if requested), the location is excellent to get around the place since it's located more in the middle.

We had such an amazing stay here! The bungalows and views are absolutely beautiful. Made and his family are beautiful people and are so welcoming and helpful - they even picked us up from the beach with scooters one day. Would love to come back!

It’s a little far from town - so good if you ride a scooter! It wasn’t an issue for us as it was worth it for the peacefulness!

The view is amazing! It's really peaceful, and the personal is always helpful. You can write them and they'll help you immediately.

The room was really dirty, everywhere was dust and a lot of other undefinable stuff. We had a lot of roommates (spiders, insects, geckos, rats...) and their excrementes. Another problem was the bathroom. The toilet was leaking, and therefore the room was always wet. It would need a renovation. We knew that the bungalow is in the middle of nowhere and therefore there'll be a few animals, but we didn't expect to find them in the room! We also had a grub in our breakfast (at least it was cooked 😅) So you have to expect to hear a lot of animals during the night (animals crawling and eating, roasters, cows, rats....).

The staff were lovely. The surroundings are beautiful and the breakfast was also great. The bed was comfortable too!

A few mosquitoes got into the bathroom due to the open section for ventilation. It did have mesh wire over the opening but the gaps are big. Maybe finer mesh would help keep bugs out :)

Everything was amazing, especially the view! Breakfast was amazing and location are good. Given no easy transport in Nusa Penida, they were able to help us book a guide for tours and also take us to lunch and dinner. Facilities themselves are great, comfy rooms with everything you need.

- The bungalows are set on top of a hill, overlooking what might be Teletubbies hill. - At night, you can hear the sounds of nature and, in the morning, you are awaken by a natural alarm of roosters and prayers. - The staff are very hospitable and lovely to deal with. The breakfast omelette is delicious! - Although a few reviews say that the property is not within walking distance of restaurants, this is actually not true. Deep roots (the terrace) is a lovely 20 minute walk down the hill and has an amazing indonesian soup and fish dish (snapper) that was unbelievable. Town is a quick 45 minute walk downhill and has so many lovely options right near the water.

For such a good price, you cannot complain.

Ayu Hill Bungalow is a real gem. The grounds a stunning & serene. The rooms are extremely comfortable & the breakfasts are delicious. The staff went out of their way to accommodate me. I highly recommend staying here in you’re in Nusa Penida. We’ll be back!

Location on the top of the hill was something amazing. Only nature sounds. Some exceptional experience. The breakfast was tasty, room was beautiful and comfortable, the staff and owner extreme friendly and helpful. We would come back definitively, one of our favourite places.

Everything was perfect. Made and the entire staff was helpful and welcoming. They organized snorkeling and island tours for us. I would highly recommend this place for anybody who wants peace and quiet in a beautiful jungle scenery.

So so so nice !! In the very middle of Nusa penida ! You can go everywhere on the island with a scooter ! The view... the best one ! Wake up early for the sunrise, then breakfast with view on the mountains ! They do breakfast (very good) but no lunch or dinner but you have a kitchen if you want

Rent a 125cc scooter at the harbour when you arrive. Cheaper than a taxi. (75 000VND after negociation) Or it will be complicated to go up.
