There was only one toilet available in the women's bathroom and the lock was pretty sketchy. The location is good, but it is also on a busy street and can get loud at night with music playing from the street. Earplugs (or being a sound sleeper) are essential.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2026está muy céntrico, en un antiguo palacio y el espacio y vistas son espectaculares. Ofrecen cena (plato de pasta) y cada día es distinto y el desayuno es muy completo. Las habitaciones estan climatizadas. Las personas voluntarias del staff son muy agradables.
las instalaciones estan un poco anticuadas (literas, cortinas, duchas). Hay mucho movimiento ya que el bar rooftop que tiene es abierto a todos y estas personas de fuera tienen que pasar por el pasillo de los aseos y habitaciones para ir para mi eso ha sido un inconveniente. La cocina está equipada pero poco claro el espacio del staff y el de los hospedados. En general es un espacio tan grande y flexible que lo sentí menos acogedor a como me lo imaginé por las fotos y las descripciones del hostal. La toalla no está incluida y tiene un coste adicional.

There was an awful smell in the room. I had to book this place late in the evening because a flight got cancelled. Thankfully it was only one quick night. The matras smelled, there was an awful smell coming from the bathroom which is connected to the room. It woke me up in the night even. It was also not clean, it looked very dirty. Plus extremely expensive for what you get.

Reviewed Jun 12, 2026Checked in at 2am with zero hassle — huge thanks to Anya, the night receptionist, for making such a late arrival feel completely effortless and welcoming. The building itself is a character in its own right: soaring ceilings with painted frescoes, original parquet floors, and balconies that instantly transport you back to the early 1900s. It's the kind of place where the architecture alone makes you slow down and just look around for a minute. The mattress was genuinely comfortable (always a relief after a long travel day), and the kitchen is well-equipped — properly stocked, not just a token setup. Found some free pasta in the kitchen too, which was a really nice touch. The common areas are spacious and comfortable, easy to relax in whether you want company or some quiet time. And then there's the soundtrack: falling asleep to live Italian musicians singing melodically right under the balcony — honestly better than any bedtime story. Pure Catania magic. Everything was spotless, and the whole place just has this warm, easy atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Está ubicada a media cuadra de la plaza principal, los balcones del hotel dan a la calle principal y se puede ver el Etna al fondo...sentarse a tomar el desayuno viendo ese paisaje es increíble. Además tienen desayuno incluido y también hacen todos los días Pasta Free por lo que eso hace que sea todo mucho más cómodo y económico para la estancia en Catania. La gente del lugar es divina, super bien predispuestos. Los cuartos son cómodos y si bien los baños son compartidos, hay duchas solo para mujeres por lo que una se siente más cómoda. Lo súper recomiendo! Volvería a Catania y sin dudas repetiría el mismo hotel :)

Reviewed May 25, 2026I liked the social part of the hostel very much! It was easy to get into talking to people in a relaxed environment. The general area is great, the staff very helpful, and the roof top bar with view onto Etna is great.
The smell in general and in particular in the rooms bathroom was quite bad. I wouldn't recommend to visit during the summer months.

Зранку всі сходяться на сніданок, ввечері безкоштовна паста, пізніше - happy hour на руфтопі (з якого ще й відривається прекрасний вид на місто та вулкан). Не завести друзів при таких обставинах просто неможливо, бо події, які організовує хостел, зводять всіх разом. Вау! Вхід в кімнату, а також в туалет/душ, по ключ-карткам. Я себе відчувала в безпеці. Персонал дуже привітний і всюди дуже чисто.
Подушки були незручні, а ще треба полагодити замок в жіночому туалеті :) Також треба розуміти, що це самий центр міста, тому вночі може бути шумно.

The staff went above and beyond, special thanks for accommodating my 2 AM arrival with night reception. Comfortable, great atmosphere throughout. Space to work. Breakfast was a nice touch to start the day.
Nothing worth mentioning. Would happily return.

El rooftop además tiene unas vistas espectaculares hacia el Etna y una vibra super acogedora. Lo que hizo mi estancia extraordinaria fue el personal, desde l@s chic@s de la recepción, hasta rooftop, limpieza- super amables, buena honda y siempre dispuestos a ayudar. Me sentí super safe allí, lo que para mi fue muy importante siendo una mujer viajando sola. La experiencia des Hostel se la recomendaría a todos.

Area studio al piano superiore per una maggiore tranquillità durante i momenti più impegnativi per la mente. Camere e bagni pulitissimi e perfettamente in ordine. Tendine scorrevoli davanti ogni letto per garantire la privacy durante la notte. Situato a ridosso della Piazza del Duomo con balcone sulla medesima. Insomma, un luogo dove si respira calma e si mastica ordine e pulizia. Esperienza perfetta per prendersi una pausa e resettare i pensieri quando la testa è guasta. Tornerò sicuramente non appena avrò occasione

Several people recommended this hostel to me, so I was quite shocked when I arrived. The beds are tiny, wobbly and squeaky. 2 toilets for (I think?) all women, one was broken and closed, the other one couldn't be locked properly. A staff bathroom was open that everyone used. It was incredibly busy and noisy. Windows (wood doors) didn't close and were to the main piazza in the city. I did not sleep. The "mountain view" was explained to me with "well behind these houses IS the mountain.... You can see it from the terrace" lol Obviously it's subjective but I found the interior to be stressful too and without a theme. Just... a lot going on.

Reviewed Apr 27, 2026El alojamiento está en pleno centro, el personal es muy amable y el desayuno está bien. Hay pasta gratis a las 20.30 por lo que también puedes cenar ahí. Lo mejor el acceso a la terraza con las mejores vistas de Catania. Si vuelvo a Catania seguramente volveré.
Al estar en el centro la habitación era muy ruidosa por la noche, la cama estaba hundida por el centro y eché de menos un poco de privacidad en las duchas del baño de chicas.

Bardzo przyjemna i duża przestrzeń wspólna do odpoczynku, pracy czy też wspólnych posiłków. Rewelacyjna lokalizacja tuż przy Duomo, widoki na Etnę, wspaniałe freski na sufitach, darmowy makaron na kolację, kilka łazienek, z których można skorzystać, książki do poczytania.
Materac w łóżku nie był zbyt wygodny, każde poruszenie się było słyszalne przez osoby w pokoju. Uważam też, że cena wypożyczenia ręczników jest zbyt wysoka.
