The Lively Osaka Honmachi

The Hotel is a modern-looking building with nice illumination and futuristic features. The bar on the top floor is also fantastic, with an open terrace and an indoor lounge.

The breakfasts were monotonous. We stayed at the hotel for five days, and the menu—consisting of five types of sandwiches—never changed. In fact, we ate just one kind the whole time :)

The Lively was unlike any other hotel we’ve ever stayed at! The overall vibe and appearance was so unique and had such a cool and quirky atmosphere about it! We loved the differences in choice that the breakfast had on offer.

The only thing I would say is my husband and I felt our room was quite dated. When you compare it to the rest of the hotel’s feel, it felt like the energy didn’t match up at all.

El lugar es excelente. Las habitaciones son cómodas y cuentan con aire acondicionado en perfectas condiciones. Además, tienen un área común donde ofrecen café y té gratuitos durante casi todo el día. Por la tarde y noche también hay algunos aperitivos, además de una hora feliz con cerveza gratis. En general, todo estuvo muy bien.

Aunque indican que cuentan con lavandería, en realidad no pudimos utilizarla. El cuarto de lavado estaba cerrado y bloqueado con una cinta, por lo que no fue posible acceder a las lavadoras.

The room was a delightful suprise being larger than normal standard in Japan. The design of the room with the seperate toilet, shower and basin made living easy! The bed was small but very comfortable. Air cond was great! The place had an amazing rooftop bar but the drinks were very expensive for Japan. Worth a look tho as the viewsd were stunning :)

Het hotel is fijn gelegen nabij het metrostation. Kamer is ruim, netjes en voorzien van alle gemakken. Het rook helaas wel erg muf. Het ontbijt is beperkt, heel lekkere belegde broodjes maar als je niet alles lust is het misschien niet handig om het ontbijt hier te nuttigen. Prijzen in de bar zijn wel erg fors! 1000yen voor een normaal formaat biertje zie je (gelukkig) niet veel in Japan.

Staff were unbelievably nice and accommodating. Our rooms were extremely clean, spacious and comfortable. The coffee provided in the rooms was very tasty as well!

One room was located on the 14th floor underneath the stairs that lead up to the rooftop, and you could hear walking on the stairs at night when trying to sleep. Other then that it was great.

The hotel room was spacious and clean, and the location was great. It was only a 2-minute walk to the train station and just 30 seconds from a 7-Eleven.

I just wish the coin laundry had been working, it was under maintenance at the time :( and that the hotel offered halal meal options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Een hip hotel met grote kamers (zeker voor Japan). Heel schoon en fijne inloopdouche. Gratis bier was lekker en gezellig met een DJ. Het ontbijt was prima. Het personeel sprak goed Engels en was zeer behulpzaam. Vanwege een privé situatie hadden we wat meer hulp nodig en ze vroegen constant of ze nog iets konden betekenen voor ons.

Esperienza pessima e del tutto inaccettabile. Abbiamo prenotato una camera "Theater" per due adulti, ma il letto era talmente stretto da risultare inagibile in due. La scheda del sito era fuorviante: le immagini usavano prospettive poco chiare e non c'era alcuna indicazione sulla larghezza del materasso. Nonostante le mie continue richieste allo staff per trovare una soluzione adeguata, si sono semplicemente scusati dicendo di non poter fare nulla e rifiutando qualsiasi rimborso della differenza; abbiamo quindi dovuto accettare il downgrade in una camera Standard pur di avere un letto di dimensioni normali. Nei giorni successivi non hanno nemmeno risposto ai miei messaggi né si sono scusati cercando di proporre una soluzione alternativa. La colazione è estremamente limitata nella varietà del cibo e permette di scegliere solamente tre elementi per persona. Nessuna attenzione al cliente né professionalità da parte della struttura.

Honestly, nothing stood out. I was able to have a place to stay for the night, and that’s about it.

The check-in process was unnecessarily complicated, the room had very limited amenities, the bed was small, and the curtains were not blackout curtains. For a 4-star hotel, I expected much better comfort and hospitality.

Great location and modern venue. The room had a wonderful view. The room was modern and comfortable. Loved the Bath and complimentary toiletries.

We chose to try the restaurant. Unfortunately, the experience was not as good as the room. Their menu was limited, which was disappointing; however, the staff were friendly.

Such a cool vibe at this hotel! Very modern, and atmosphere where you don’t really need to explore outside of it if you’re looking for a good cocktail & chill.

The hotel is perfect for all kinds of travellers. I was here with my boyfriend but I can imagine that if you’re a solo traveller it would be the best option as there is free beer and DJs every night (though you never hear any noise from the bars in your room) so there’s lots of opportunities to meet people. Very chill vibe but also felt incredibly taken care of. The bar upstairs and the rooftop are really lovely and there are endless amenities. Couldn’t fault anything about this hotel, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Osaka.

Perfect place to start our holiday in Japan. Great facilities and very convenient. The room was spacious for a family of four. We couldn’t have asked for more.

房間偏小沒有上面照片看起來那麼寬敞，2個28寸行李沒辦法全開，然後房務清潔人員沒有很仔細，這次1隻襪子被收走，1件褲子被收走，跟飯店詢問他們說是外包廠商所以他們不清楚，有幫忙詢問但最後也沒有找到，如果要入住個人物品出門前記得收好！！！！

Avevamo prenotato due camere x due adulti ciascuna. Purtroppo non era indicata la dimensione del letto, che risulta quasi impossibile per due persone. Più piccola di una piazza e mezzo! Abbiamo chiesto il cambio, ma non c’erano disponibilità, quindi ci siamo attrezzati per far dormire una persona sul pavimento!!! State attenti. NO ALLA SINGOLA PER DUE. Non dovrebbero nemmeno offrirla! La colazione è tutta Giapponese a parte una focaccia, il resto è piuttosto difficile da mangiare.

酒店一进门一股臭脚味，实在让人无法接受，但是就是门口的位置里面就没有味道了。另外酒店的服务员都非常年轻，感觉不是很端庄，嬉皮笑脸让人感觉不舒服。看到客人不是起身，而是互相在聊天。

The hotel was clean, the staff members were very friendly. I appreciated the close proximity to 7/11 supermarket and also to the train station. My stay in the hotel was very lovely.

The breakfast 😭. We did not like the breakfast menu options. We went as a group of 5 friends and stayed for 8 nights. The breakfast menu was the same every day. Bread was the highlight of the menu! That was a lot of bread for such a long stay 😭. And as someone who personally doesn’t eat bread, it was quite frustrating. I believe no one in my group had breakfast for more than 3 mornings because there was no variety and they were scared of getting constipated from too much bread…lool. It would be nice if they considered switching it up a bit, maybe having a different menu on alternate days, especially for guests that have long stays. We were saved by the 7/11 supermarket that was just by the hotel.

The Lively Osaka Honmachi is in a great, well-placed location with train stations, convenience stores, and the Semba Center all within easy walking distance for shopping. The staff were lovely and helpful throughout my stay, and the room size was a welcome improvement compared to my previous Tokyo hotel. The downstairs amenities were decent, and while you had to grab your tea in a to-go cup from the 2nd-floor cafe, it worked out fine.

The room structure seemed to trap residual smells at first, though it did clear up by the next day. A shower cap option would be a great addition to their amenity bar, and having standard packaged tea bags directly in the room would be much more convenient. I opted for daily room cleaning, but I could tell the bedsheets were not changed every day. My biggest critique is the breakfast, which was strictly bread, soup, salad, and the exact same fruit daily. It really lacked variety, and the hotel should look into offering a better balance or at least disclosing their menu beforehand.

We had a very good stay at The Lively Osaka Honmachi. The hotel was clean, modern and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was also very convenient for exploring Osaka. Overall, we were happy with our stay. The only thing we were not fully satisfied with was the breakfast, as the selection and quality could be improved. Apart from that, everything was good and we enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this hotel to others

This was my favourite hotel I stayed in Japan! The hotel is beautiful, the room is comfortable, the amenities are great, the breakfast is delicious, and the hotel even offers a live DJ every day and free beer at happy hour. Not to mention the beautiful rooftop bar they have! It is also in the best location of the city, in my opinion!

Some might find the rooms small if they are travelling in groups but I think it was great especially for solo travel and 2-person travel. The only thing might be that there is no wardrobe to put your clothes but hanging them outside was pretty okay for me.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were given quite a big family room which had plenty of room and a small lounge space, comfortable beds - the bunks were huge! The kids enjoyed the pool table in the afternoons, and we enjoyed the complimentary tea (fell in love with their tea, still trying to find comparable tea to home), coffee and evening happy hour beers. The location was great although there wasn't a lot of restaurants or things to do close by, I think its mainly a business district (although close to lots of subway stations for a short trip anywhere in osaka). The 7-eleven outside was very well used and convenient!

We loved everything but if I had one thing to warn others about, when we arrived late and tired, the staff asked us if we would like 1500 yen worth of hotel vouchers in exchange for not cleaning our rooms everyday. I was very tired and so said yes without thinking. This is not a good deal, don't fall into this trap!! We didn't even spend the vouchers!

Great location: just near a metro station, several convenince stores, 25 min walk to Dotonbori. The staff was friendly and heplfull. The room is very clean and comfortable, large enough for Japan. There is a nice bar on the rooftop. The breakfast was good.

If you stay long or just have a lot of clothes, you will have to store them in a suitcase. There are some hangers, but no shelves or drawers. The breakfast if the same every day: 3 sandwiches from a rather limited choice, some salad and broth. The food is really good, but if you stay long you may get tired.

We enjoyed the relaxed, urban style of the hotel, which included elements such as a lounge with complimentary self-service tea coffee. We would definitely recommend a visit to the rooftop bar, which serves excellent cocktails. We were also very pleased with the spacious room and the very generous offering of a food/drink voucher from the hotel to mark our honeymoon.

We would have liked a little more storage space for clothes, e.g drawers and a proper wardrobe, which there would have certainly been space for in the large room we had. While we enjoyed the sandwiches on offer for breakfast, more variety such as eggs, more fruit and yoghurt would have been nice. However, I was pleased that they had gluten free bread as it can be difficult to find in Japan.

Avevo prenotato per 5 persone al momento della prenotazione mi vengono date 2 stanze (due dopoie) alche' io penso sicuramente sara' una doppia uso tripla ( con un letto in piu' o anche una poltrona letto ) ed una doppia normale , al momento del ceck-in tutto bene mi vengono affidate le due stanze ma quando andiamo in camera scopriamo che la camera che era stata affidata ai miei figli di (24-21 e 15 anni ) era una doppia con letto matrimoniale convinto che ci fosse un errore torno alla reception e faccio presente la cosa e loro mi rispondono che secondo i loro standard quella è una tripla , bhe non mi era mai capitato e pure io sono un host di far dormire 3 persone in un letto matrimoniale dicendo che è una tripla !!! Continuo con il pretendere che mi aggiungano un letto oppure mi cambino stanza e loro che fanno ? Mi propongono il cambio stanza ma chiedendomi un supplemento di 70 euro naturalmente rifiuto , stando in giappone non riesco a chiamare direttamente booking ma scrivo al servizio clienti e devo dire la verità ci resto un po male perché dopo aver scritto 2 vole a booking al servizio clienti per avere un supporto non ho ricevuto nessuna risposta !!! Ripeto l'hotel come struttura niente da dire ma in quanto a ospitalità hanno molto ma molto da imparare !! Fosse capitato in Italia sicuramente mi avrebbero avvisato prima ma anche se ciò non fosse accaduto li al momento si sarebbero adoperati per trovare una soluzione al cliente ed invece noi da turisti in quest'hotel abbiamo trovato nessuna disponibilità ad andare incontro al cliente se non quello di chiedere ulteriori soldi per il soggiorno !!! Sotto questo punto di vista esperienza altamente negativa !!!

The room was spacious and clean, with a large bed. Unfortunately, the view from the window – of the wall of another building – meant it was dark inside even during the day. One advantage was the ability to open the window, which is not always possible. It was a really nice touch being able to make yourself a cup of tea or coffee in the hotel lobby in the evening.

Despite having reserved a room with a view of the city, the view was of a wall located only one metre from the window.

The best hotel we stayed in Japan this trip! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, spoke very good English. I had an incident during my stay and the staff went above and beyond to help me, really appreciated! There are complimentary drinks including iced matcha which we absolutely loved, and free beer from 6-7pm. You also get to choose if you would like your room to be cleaned daily, if you choose the eco option you get coupons which worked out perfectly for us!

Not a great deal of storage for suitcases for 4, but in comparison to other places in Japan the room was huge and very accomodating.

My husband and I stood at The Lively Osaka Honmachi during our honeymoon. They surprised us with flower pedals and swan folded towels on our bed upon arrival. They offer great complimentary amenities. The hotel is clean, staff is hospitable, it’s aesthetically appealing and suited for young travelers. We wish we were staying longer to truly enjoy the hotel. It’s in a perfect location with several restaurants around.

It was a decent hotel, but after staying at the same chain in Tokyo we expected a bit more. This location felt less boutique, less clean, less quiet, and more touristy overall. However, it was still a nice place and we really don’t have anything serious to complain about. The breakfast staff helped us with our gluten-free needs, which was very important and much appreciated, but in my opinion the other breakfast options could be improved. The reception desk staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay.

The location is a bit far from the main attractions, and the view from the window was not the best - facing a wall and some AC units. Breakfast mostly offered sandwiches and felt more focused on quick, filling options rather than healthier choices. More variety and some healthier options would be a nice improvement.

La struttura è molto carina e ha un’impronta giovane e piacevole. Ci ha fatto sorridere trovare, di tanto in tanto, musica italiana in sottofondo, un dettaglio inaspettato e gradito. Camera molto bella e pulita!Solo, non capisco come mai nella stanza WC non è previsto un appoggio per tovagliette e sapone, ma sono presenti solo vicino al lavabo; è una cosa che ho in ogni caso trovato anche in altri hotel. Purtroppo siamo rimasti delusi dalla colazione, che era esclusivamente salata. Nonostante avessimo pagato la colazione per entrambe le notti, non ne abbiamo usufruito. Errore di cui faremo tesoro in futuro. Fortunatamente, la presenza di uno Starbucks a pochi metri ci ha in qualche modo “salvati”. A nostro avviso, se si desidera offrire un’esperienza davvero internazionale, non si può trascurare così tanto la proposta di una colazione dolce. Un altro aspetto negativo è la limitata possibilità di scelta: gli ospiti vengono serviti direttamente, senza poter selezionare autonomamente tra diverse opzioni. Infine, l’iniziativa della birra gratuita è sicuramente carina, ma un po’ limitata, considerando che è disponibile solo per un’ora.
