Nothing. Honestly this is great accommodation. It is quite high up so longer walk to town but doable incline on way back. Car takes minutes only. Would not stop us rebooking

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026We stayed at Starlet 11 in Lake Tekapo for two nights (8–10 July 2026) as a family. The apartment is relatively new, comfortable, and in a great location. It is within easy walking distance of the shops and local attractions, and having a dedicated car space directly in front of the apartment was very convenient. The heating kept the apartment warm overall, although it occasionally stopped and restarted during our stay.
Upon arrival, we found visible dirt and hair around the bedsides, indicating that the apartment had not been properly cleaned or vacuumed before our check-in. This was particularly frustrating because the owner had contacted us before our arrival to confirm our check-in time, explaining that it was to ensure there was sufficient time to prepare and clean the apartment. Despite these assurances, the apartment was not presented to an acceptable standard. We reported the cleanliness issue to the owner immediately after entering the apartment, but no effort was made to rectify the problem during our stay. This lack of response was disappointing and left us feeling that our concerns were not taken seriously. Overall, Starlet 11 is a modern, comfortable, and well-located apartment with convenient parking, and it has the potential to provide an excellent stay. However, the poor standard of cleanliness and the lack of any attempt to address the issue significantly overshadowed our experience. We would strongly encourage future guests thinking of Startlet 11 to insist the apartment is thoroughly cleaned before booking or check-in.

There are no views from the apartment as they are blocked by other properties unfortunately.

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026Tidy and clean, with plenty of roadside parking for our ute and trailer. Great communication prior to arrival.
It felt like someone lives there because of the slip on shoes left there, I guess for people to use, but wearing shoes other people have worn isn't my thing. And the shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower were store bought products which made it feel like it belonged to someone rather than there for guest use. A heated towel rail in the bathroom would be very beneficial.

Perfect location, and peaceful surroundings, and amazing hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a memorable and relaxing getaway.

Reviewed May 6, 2026Spacious well maintained unit, comfortable bed and good amenities in a quiet location. Shower with good pressure and plenty of hot water. Free allocated parking for one vehicle, plenty of roadside parking for additional vehicles, good/free wifi.
No host onsite presence. All interaction by email/text with entry to unit via door code. I prefer a more personalised experience but perhaps this is the way of the future

Location is great—about a 10-minute walk to the lakeside and supermarket, and parking was easy. A nice bonus was being able to stargaze right outside the room at night. The kitchen facilities were also excellent—everything felt new, with good quality pots and a gas cooktop that made cooking really easy. Would definitely stay again.

1.가격 대비 성인3명(남2,여1)이 지내기에 좁음. 동시에 움직이면 비좁음. 방만 조금 넓었다면 100점. 2.화장실 문을 잠글 수가 없음. 3.후라이팬 코팅이 벗겨져 있으며 교체필요.

Reviewed Dec 21, 2025Great apartment! Starlet 11 is in a very convenient location in Lake Teakapo. The apartment itself is so pretty, featuring brand now furniture and appliances. It's a shame we had no chance to view the stars due to cloudy and rainy night but that's no fault of the property. We were in a vast open space which I believe on a clear night one would be view stars. Highly recommend!

It was windy while we were there and the door rattled all night. Also felt it was expensive value for money compared to other stays during our travels around New Zealand.

Just the back to back neighbour unit returning and banging the thin wall between our units with their luggages in the middle of our sleep, was really loud and shocked all of us up!

Distance from the town, the building looks like a warehouse (from outside, as it looks nice inside). The price is high compared to other we paid in New Zealand for similar standard.
