Hotel Galaxias

The staff are by far the best thing about the hotel. They were always available and the ladies on reception were ready to help with any problem or questions. Loads of great tips and recommendations from them and they always had time for guests. Location-wise, the hotel's in a nice spot between the beach, old town and acropolis, so everywhere's a short walk or drive away, as well as places to eat and drink if you don't fancy going all the way to the town centre. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The main positive aspect of my stay was the friendly staff. Everyone I interacted with was kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made certain moments of the stay more pleasant.

The room itself was very basic, and while the overall cleanliness was acceptable, I did find hair in a few spots, which took away from the experience. The location wasn’t ideal either — about 20 minutes from the Old Town, and the surrounding area didn’t look particularly appealing. Breakfast wasn’t included, and the €12 charge for a very basic meal felt steep, especially considering the quality. Overall, the hotel felt overpriced for what it offers.

Απαγόρευση να τρως στο δωμάτιο!!!!!!! Τόσα λεφτά δώσαμε για το τίποτα!!! Χάλια τοποθεσία!!!!! Άβολο πάρκινγκ!!!!! Το κλιματιστικό ήταν θορυβώδης!!! Γενικά είναι από τα χειρότερα (ξενοδοχεία) που έχω μείνει εάν μπορείς να το πεις έτσι!!!!

Everything. First of all the staff is super nice, careful and ready to help wearing always big smiles on their faces, from check in ‘till check out moment (we will miss you all guys!). Breakfast is great, with rich variety of options. The rooms are very clean and the beds are really comfortable. The distance to Rhodes town is within walking distance (10-15 mins on foot). Around the hotel there’s pharmacy shop, supermarket, many restaurants and the bus station No5 which has great connections to the most beautiful beaches and towns of Rhodes (Lindos, Tsambika, Kallithea, Faliraki,…)

Personnel très agréable et enclin à conseiller les résidents pour optimiser le voyage. Je souligne également la propreté dans la (sublime) chambre chaque jour. Un grand merci à tous.

Great location, just a 10-minute walk from the Old Town, with parking available nearby. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. The girls at the reception were especially lovely and helped us a lot with everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable. Even though the hotel is located on a main road with quite a lot of traffic, we could barely hear any noise inside the room. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Letto e cuscini da migliorare. Abbiamo soggiornato una settimana e la pulizia del bagno è stata davvero approssimativa. Peccato la posizione.

What I liked most about Galaxias Hotel was its excellent location. The Old Town, Mandraki Harbour, shops, restaurants, and bus stops were all within easy walking distance. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel offered great value for money. It was a comfortable and convenient place to stay while exploring Rhodes.

The staff was so nice, from the ladies at reception to the guy at breakfast area...everyone was so sweet and helpful, they definitely made a difference. The room was comfortable and spacious, I loved that there was a terrace too. It was great to come back from the beach and find it clean every single day. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who visits Rhodes.

Ευχάριστο και ζεστό περιβάλλον και όλο το προσωπικό πάρα πολύ φιλικό και εξυπηρετικό, το δωμάτιο πολύ καθαρό με όλα τα απαραίτητα για μια ευχάριστη διαμονή. Το πρωινό αρκετά πλούσιο! Εξαιρετική η ιδέα για δωρεάν ξενάγηση στην παλιά Πόλη, μας άρεσε !!!

Bed a bit uncomfortable

Vi fick ett fint häfte med bra information om platser att besöka och restauranger att äta på och det var jättebra service! Hotellet kändes och är väldigt lyxigt! Hotellet ligger på en gata med många caféer och det finns mysiga restauranger i närheten! Frukosten hade det vi förväntade oss.

Prisvärt för läget fast hotellet ligger en bit från gamla stan. 15 min promenad till gamla stan och 20 min promenad till närmsta strand Zephyros beach. Frukosten hade kunnat vara bättre för priset.

Nagyon hangulatos szálloda, szépen kialakított, modern terek, nagyon kedves és segítőkész személyzet, a recepciósok több nyelven is beszélnek. A reggeli is finom volt. Csak ajánlani tudom.

Si trova a circa 10 minuti a piedi dall’ingresso alla città vecchia e le strade per arrivare in centro storico non sono molto illuminate.

I enjoyed the whole experience. I liked the overall decor of white and gold. Everything was spotless. The room was quiet, cool, very clean and well provided with storage space, bathroom facilities. Staff excellent!

I would have liked it to be a little closer to the Old Town. But good connections to busses and taxis compensated.

Personale estremamente cordiale e professionale. Lo staff della reception si è mostrato molto disponibile nel soddisfare ogni nostra esigenza e l’addetto al bar è stato sempre particolarmente cortese.

The room was clean and furnished well with a range of facilities including the bonus of having a safe to store valuables. The bathroom and shower were also very good. The bed was comfortable and the cleaners made sure the room was clean every day.

The curtains perhaps let in too much light at night but this is a minor negative.

La stanza era pulitissima. La ragazza che mi ha accolto è stata estremamente gentile. Stanza molto grande con bagno privato. A 5 minuti dal centro !

Personel güler yüzlü ancak şehir merkezine yürüme mesafesinde falan değil. Yorumlarda böyle yazıyor ancak alakası yok. Taksi çağırmak zorunda kaldım. Odalar küçük ve dar çift yatak olarak işaretlememe rağmen duble yatak vardı. Otel temiz ve izole. Pansiyon tarzı otel konforu beklemeyin. Kahvaltı vs yok. Ama çok yardımcı oluyorlar . Çalışanlar çok güler yüzlü. Temiz bir konaklama yeri.

Nice service, clean and cozy

Far from the centre

We booked this hotel due to its location and it did not disappoint, as the location was perfect for us. Facilities Our room was situated on the 3rd floor and there was a lift. The room smelt very fresh and clean when we walked in. It was extremely clean and looked well maintained. We had a room with a balcony and if you leaned out you could just about see the sea. As the room looked out over a main road it was very noisy at times, but we love people watching so it was great for us. However, though the windows do help minimise the noise, if you are a light sleeper you may wish to request a room at the back of the hotel as the road noise doesn't die down until about 11.30am. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels left. The entrance and reception area was also very clean. The staff were very friendly and even gave us a bottle of wine as we were there celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. It was a really lovely touch. We were room only, so cannot comment on breakfast. Though the restaurant looked very nice when I popped my head in. They have a lounge area which is very chic, and also an outside garden area. They allowed us to store our cases, but as it was only a very small store room, in high season it may not be possible. Across the road was a coffee bar, so great to pop over to and grab a coffee/tea as there was no kettle in the room. There was a fridge, which had a freezer compartment so great for freezing our water ready for the next day, so we had ice cold water all day. Location The hotel is located approximately 25 to 30 mins walk from old town and the nearest beach. Though when chatting and walking it doesn't feel that long. There are lots of local restaurants near, and these were very authentic (locals ate in them) and very reasonable compared to eating in the old town. We loved being in the heart of where local people live and worked, so the hotel was perfect for us. If you want a pool, 5 minute walk to the beach and all inclusive, this is not the hotel for you. If you just want a clean bed, nice staff and close walking distance to local tavernas and restaurants then this is the hotel for you.

Η τοποθεσία ήταν οκ, καθώς ήταν κοντά στο Πανεπιστήμιο Αιγαίου στο οποίο είχα μεταβεί για εκπαιδευτικό συνέδριο. Όλο το προσωπικό ήταν ευεγενέστατο και πολύ φιλικό πρόθυμο να σε εξυπηρετήσει.

Κατά αρχήν το δωμάτιο, δεν ήταν προορισμένο για δωμάτιο μάλλον ήταν αποθήκη το οποίο επιβεβαιώνεται από το γεγονός ότι δεν είχε νούμερο.. Βασικά είχε ένα μικρό παράθυρο και το κρεβάτι ήταν σχεδόν σφηνωμένο ανάμεσα σε δυο τοίχους και δεν μπορούσες να ανέβεις παρά μόνο από την πίσω πλευρά... Το wifi ποτέ δεν λειτούργησε! Το πρωϊνό ήταν απελπιστικά απλό και παρατήρησα ότι την δεύτερη ημέρα ήταν ακριβώς το ίδιο όπως το είχα παρατηρήσει την πρώτη ημέρα. Οι ποσότητες ήταν ελάχιστες, αλλά δεν γνωρίζω αν ήμουν και ο μοναδικός ένοικος..

Очень уютный отель. Отдыхали вдвоем с супругом и нам было очень комфортно. В пешей доступности от Старого города Родоса, от пляжа. Прекрасные завтраки. Персонал очень доброжелательный и вежливый.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are really friendly and helpful and very kind and understanding. The room was clean with good air conditioning. We stayed on a room only basis but when one morning a storm hit and we couldn't leave the hotel they were happy to make us up toasted sandwiches. The bottle of wine for our anniversary was a lovely touch. There are several coffee shops very close by and it is an easy and pleasant walk to the old town and to bus stops for the rest of the island.

It was a nice hotel and quite clean. They serve a nice breakfast but only snacks in the evening. It is about half an hour walk to the city centre. The hotel has a lovely garden where one can sit and relax.

The fact that it was not in the town centre.

This is my second stay at Hotel Galaxias. It has everything I need for an enjoyable stay in Rhodes. The room was a good size. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well each night. The room was roadside but the soundproofing is excellent. I was not disturbed. The bathroom and shower are good. AC in the bedroom was good. Breakfast had a range of food and was of a good standard. It set me up for the day. There is an internal breakfast room but also an outside garden which is a very pleasant place to sit and enjoy the start of the day. The location is ideal. 20 minutes walk into the Old Town. 20 minutes walk to the beach. 25 minutes walk to the Ancient Theatre and Monte Smith which is a lovely place to visit and learn some local history. Also if you carry on walk up to the top of the hill you will get to see one of the most fantastic places to see a sunset. With this all said. The thing that stands out for me in Galaxias is the staff. They are welcoming, friendly, efficient, informative and always willing to help.

Le personnel est vraiment gentil, aimable et accueillant, j’ai vraiment apprécié l’emplacement, à 20 minutes à pied de la vielle ville et de la plage 🏝️. Voyage en solo pour moi si un jour je retourne à Rhodes , ce sera à cet endroit c’est sur . Le déjeuner était excellent.

La posizione molto strategica, vicino al centro e alla spiaggia. Il personale molto gentile e disponibile. La stanza pulitissima come il resto dell'edificio. Colazione abbondante e buona.

Nella colazione era incluso solo caffè americano, per espresso bisognava pagare a parte. Nonostante nella descrizione mettesse che la stanza fosse insonorizzata, si sentiva il traffico anche con finestra chiusa e dalla porta della stanza potevamo sentire l'ascensore e le persone, e vedevamo la luce da sotto la porta.

Hotelli sijaitsee vilkkaasti liikennöidyllä kadulla ja sieltä on helppo kävellä vanhaan kaupunkiin ja rannalle. Palvelu oli miellyttävää ja ystävällistä. Äänet käytävältä kuului huoneeseen hyvin, mutta öisin oli hiljaista. Yöpyisin mielelläni täällä uudestaan.

Clean room, staff is AMAZING here and breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend staying here. Bus stop is also 10 min away by walk and the old town is only a 20 min walk

De gastvrijheid was erg fijn, we werden altijd vriendelijk ontvangen en het personeel was ook altijd behulpzaam. Daarnaast is het een klein maar fijn hotel, waar alles aanwezig was wat je nodig hebt.

De douches waren aan de smalle kant, wat soms een beetje oncomfortabel was. Ook werden de handdoeken niet altijd vervangen als deze op de grond werden gelegd, dus moesten we bij de receptie vragen om nieuwe.

Η αλήθεια ήταν λίγο μακρυά από την πόλη, κυκλοφορουσαμε με τα πόδια. Η περιοχή δεν έχει καταστήματα κοντά, ένδυσης, υπόδησης ή κάποιο μωλλ για να περάσεις την ώρα σου. Το να πηγαίνεις κάθε μέρα στην παλιά πόλη, όπου όλα τα μαγαζιά (ειδικά εστίασης) ήταν πανάκριβα, δεν ήταν ότι καλύτερο. Εισήγηση στο δωμάτιο καλό θα ήταν καλό να υπήρχε βραστήρας κ φακελάκια καφέ, κάποια μικρά γαλατακια εβαπορέ, συνήθως τα ξενοδοχεία το παρέχουν αυτό.

The photos dont do it justice, I had a wonderful time and was pleasantly surprised by the luxurious feel of the hotel. I particularly appreciated the staff who were extremely sweet and made sure I felt welcome and gave a damn good introduction to Rhodes and what to do and not do. With their expertise I was able to experience Rhodes to the fullest and made sure my trip was splendid. Thank you Hotel Galaxias for my unforgettable trip to Rhodes, Greece.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful The outdoor terrace / garden area was lovely and peaceful.

Balcony seating area was vey tight - but that was the way it was. The air conditioning generating unit was located overhead in the balcony area and poured warm air into the area - again, that’s how it was, but it was irritating.

It was our first time in Rhodes, and our stay at the hotel made it truly memorable. Katia at reception was not only warm and welcoming, but also incredibly helpful with her thoughtful recommendations. Her kindness made us feel right at home, which we deeply appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient — just a short drive from the city centre, or about a 25-minute walk to the Old Town. We were genuinely sad to leave, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rhodes.

Pokój był bardzo przyjemny, było bardzo czysto. Obsługa hotelowa przemiła, niczego nam nie brakowało. Całkiem smaczne śniadania.

Przeokropny hałas od ulicy, widok z okna na stację benzynową. Brak półki/wieszaka w łazience aby powiesić lub położyć ubrania.

Πολύ καθαρό, και σε βολικό σημείο. Βρίσκεις εύκολα να παρκάρεις κοντά στο ξενοδοχείο. Το προσωπικό του ξενοδοχείου άριστο, ευγενικό και πρόθυμο να εξυπηρετήσει. Το ψυγείο άψογο, το κρεβάτι πολυ καλό, και το μπάνιο άνετο. Σε 20 λεπτά χαλαρό περπάτημα, είσαι μέσα στη μεσαιωνική πόλη. Πολύ κοντά θα βρειΣ/Μ,αρτοποιείο, εστιατόρια, καφέ.
