Das Frühstück war einfach aber lecker ( Croissant, Saft, Kaffee, Toast, Käse, Wurst, Butter, Honig, Milch, Cornflakes, Yoghurt und Früchte). Das Hotel liegt ganz oben an der Burg. Bett war gemütlich. Die Dusche hat einen festen Strahl. Die Besitzer sehr sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Obidos ist ein süßes Örtchen und wir würden wieder hier übernachten. Es gibt sogar Postkarten und Magnete vom Hotel?

Reviewed Sep 4, 2026Idyllische und ruhige Lage. Wenn die Tagestouristen die Stadt verlassen haben, hat man die Stadt fast für sich.
Uns war es bekannt, aber man sollte wissen, dass es vom kostenlosen Parkplatz VOR der Stadt ein ca. 15 minütiger Fußweg ist. Also Gepäck optimieren!

Reviewed Aug 24, 2026ottima colazione, posteggio non lontano (essendo periodo di festa il traffico nel centro era limitato). Posto molto carino. Proprietaria gentilissima. E infatti quando ho chiesti di prolungare di un giorno il soggiorno... era già tutto prenotato.
Unico neo è stato il cuscino per dormire che ho trovato assolutamente scomodo (alto e duro) ma potrebbe ovviamene trattarsi di abitudini personali. Ho usato un asciugamano ripiegato. Consiglio quindi il proprietario di considerare questa mia osservazione.

Reviewed Aug 20, 2026Hostess was lovely. Room was cool even without air conditioning. Beds were comfortable. The word I would use to describe this property is “quaint@. Felt more like we were in someone’s grandmothers house.
Parking was not close and because there was a festival in town, we didn't have access to the inside of the castle. Slippery, steep cobblestones at entryway (to get to the front door). I slipped twice. Old plumbing made quite the racket.

Si consiglia un ammodernamento di alcuni spazi, per esempio il bagno. La colazione potrebbe offrire prodotti locali.

Nao gostei do Pequeno almoco simples c pouca variedade, sumo sabia mal, fiquei junyo a janela deteriorada. Dizia que a entrada era ate as 23- 24 h e as 18h 40 m uma empregada da limpeza ligou me a dizer que tinha que ir imediatanente que ia fechar as 19h, nao tinha rececionista. Nao gostei absolutsmente nada. A empregada da limpeza, unica pessoa presente, para um esbelecimento de hotelaria que leva cerca de 100 euros por noite , que fala para o cliente em tom acusatorio , que lhe exige que venha rapido as 19h que quer ir embora , é o maior desrespeito pelo hospede e pelo servico de hotelaria em Portugal. Alugámos 1 quarto com 2 . A empregada da limpeza entregou nos 1 de casal. Nos n queriamos. Chegou logo um casal que iam colocar num quarto de 2 camas. Nos nao keriamos o quarto de casal. Ela teimava k tinhamos alugado awuele de casal. Sugeri k trocassemos. Ela disse k ia pergintsr ao casal , que vi k tb querism era o quarto de casal. Andava a falar com o patrao ao tlm , sobre os 2 quartos e quetia dar me o tlm para falar com ele. Recusri falar ao tlm. O lugar do patrao era ali nao era ao tlm.nao havia rececionista. A rmpregada da limpeza nao passou fatura disse k o computadir estava avariado. Nao acreditei. Perguntei se me deixava liga lo. Disse aflita que nao. Pois ela estava a mentir. Disse a chegada k o peq almoco era das 8h as 8h 15 ou das 9h 15 as 11h mas das 9h15bas 11h ja estava cheio. Nao acreditei . Vi logo k nos queriam despachar cedo . Nesse segunfo periodo nao vi movimentacao para a sala de refeicoes. Quando fui tomar o peq almoco fiquei ao pé duma janela deteriorada com falta de parte do parapeito. Devem ir consertar a correr para dizer que é mentira. O aspeto do patio nao tem os vasos nem.o aspeto da foto. Nao fimos informadas que nao entra la carro e que so pode ser deixado a cerca de 500 metros. Tenho 68 anos e a outra sra que ia comigo 70..uma desgraça para quem anda por hoteis e ate casas da juventude desdevos 20 anos. Nunca reclamei antes.

Room on the smaller side. Check-in desk was not open when we arrived at the appointed check-in time and only opened about 20 minutes later. Towels were torn (but I didn't complain about this, to be fair).

Si tratta di una costruzione d'epoca finemente ristrutturata ed arredata con cura nei particolari, coerentemente con l'epoca a cui risale l'edificio. Ci sono diverse aree comuni, sia all'aperto che al chiuso e la stanza era molto spaziosa. Colazione non particolarmente abbondante ma abbastanza completa ed in linea con la proposta della struttura.

Com vista à melhoria do espaço sugiro uma renovação e simplificação da decoração pois as peças que tem (históricas) são magníficas e não precisam de tantos elementos decorativos à sua volta. Sugeria alguma manutenção também. No quarto seria importante colocar uma ventoinha (de mesa ou tecto) para os dias mais quentes.

Possible indications of mold in the bathroom but under control.

Confortável, tudo muito limpo e bem cuidado, tem uma área aberta com mesinhas, belos vasos de cerâmicas e plantas, ideal para relaxar e tomar uma taça de vinho . A localização é ótima, bem ao lado do Castelo, só é bom se programar em relação as malas, pois é proibida o acesso com carros até a pousada. Estive em 2024 e adorei, foi o ano que conheci a Anabela, uma ótima profissional, pessoa querida, muito educada, atenciosa, simpática, um atendimento excelente, que também fez toda a diferença na minha escolha para retornar em 2026. A Carmen, que também trabalha lá, conheci esse ano, também muito querida e atenciosa. Como faz toda a diferença sermos bem recebidos. A Casa São Thiago é assim, um aconchego! O Sr. Ricardo também, muito educado, respondeu prontamente minhas questões. Café da manhã gostoso. E o essencial e muito importante, cama muito confortável e chuveiro muito bom! Já quero voltar! Obrigada pela estadia maravilhosa!

Reviewed Jun 27, 2026The place feels like a museum itself. It is full of old relicts. The breakfast was quite simple, but the experience itself made it worth it. It has very cute inside area to sit and admire. They let us store our bicycles within this area, which we appreciate. The city pretty much closes before the sunset, so it felt like we are alone explorers of the city walls. That was quite charming! We also find a restaurant inside Obidos that we just loved "Realmente". While it looked as touristic trap, was the best one we ever went to! We would come back only to stay in this place and enjoy the restaurant again!
There was a bit of misunderstanding of check-in and we had to call few times (until someone pick-up), and waited for more than 20mins for somebody to come. We were a bit in a hurry, so it made us a bit frustrated. We wanted to go for a walk and find a place to eat while places were still working. I understand the request to let them know in advance, but its very hard to do that when you are coming with bicycles. We tried to be as accurate as we could (we provided estimation for 30mins interval, and even when we came within it, we had to wait almost 30mins) Not a complaint about this place, but general note that Obidos closes quite early. We regret not being able to come to this place a bit earlier, so that we could have enjoyed vibrant vibe of the city and still opened places more.

Parking is located on the opposite side of the hotel so be prepared to walk about 10 minutes with luggage.

Reviewed Jun 7, 2026This is a simply awesome location and unique lodging. The origins of this home turned bed and breakfast is 400 years. It is directly next to the village castle. Its inside the Obidos village walls! I didn't realize this all until we arrived. It was simply delightful. The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfasts were a full spread of plenty. I couldn't have been more pleased.!!! The staff were extremely kind helpful and multi lingual. Be careful getting there and get help. It is, in fact, inside an ancient village inside of the town Obidos. Google maps can take you down the wrong roads. Make sure and contact the staff for specific directions before going, if you are driving yourself. It was very quiet and private inspite of being in the very hub of this very popular destination! I wish we could have stayed much longer and want to go again soon!
I you are driving, Google maps is trickyand confused. Get directions from the right people before you drive there. It's truly inside castle walls!

Our room was wonderful. The only thing I would suggest is dehumidifiers for rainy spells as it felt a bit damp in the room at night.

También es muy importante el agua sin costo y el. cafe! Ademas el recepcionista es muy amable, siempre dispuesto a responder preguntas... a el le doy un 10!
por colocar algo que no me gusto...podrian arreglar la puerta de entrada ( la que quedaba apta después de las 6 pm), sonaba mucho !

Reviewed May 19, 2026Casa muito bonita e bem decorada, bem ao estilo de casa antiga no estilo barroco, proporcionando um ambiente agradável. A cama é bastante confortável, além de oferecer bom espaço para malas pequenas. O sistema de aquecimento, tanto do ambiente quanto do chuveiro, funciona muito bem, garantindo uma ótima experiência de conforto. Banheira grande.
A janela do banheiro fica ao nível do pátio, e a veneziana de madeira não estava completa, faltando uma das partes. Isso comprometia a privacidade, já que era possível ver o interior do banheiro, sendo necessário improvisar uma solução com uma toalha.

Reviewed May 15, 2026Zo een perfect oeroud huis is haast niet te vinden.Dit is echt een must.wij hebben in een woonkamer van vroeger wijn gedronken en genoten.Fantastisch!!!!! .Te veel om op te noemen.Al die kamers van vroeger. Personeel kan echt niet beter.Het hele huis laten zien met liefde.

Reviewed May 6, 2026Deze accomodatie ligt vlakbij het kasteel en heeft geen parkeerplaats. Zet de auto bij de parkeerplaats bij de VVV pak wat spullen over in een kleine tas en loop dan naar boven ( ca 400 meter schuin). Met koffers loopt niet lekker namelijk. Het is een ontzettend charmant en ouder hotel met hier en daar wat achterstallig onderhoud en kleine gebreken maar de sfeer en netheid maakt eigenlijk alles goed. Zelfs het beddengoed en de handdoeken worden gewassen met een heerlijk wasparfum en zijn ontzettend zacht en geven een luxe gevoel. Het ontbijt was prima. Bedden zijn goed en ontbijt was

La colazione gluten free è stata ancora una volta deludente in portogallo, perché sebbene ci sia stato uno scambio di mail sulla conferma di prodotti senza glutine mi sono ritrovata con delle fette di pane senza glutine e non oltre e, comunque, ribadisco che il prezzo della colazione lo paghiamo intero anche noi celiaci. Nella camera dal bagno usciva odore di fogna 😱

La salle de bain vraiment exiguë.
