Hotel Cozy Myeongdong

(FOR THE PHOTOS ATTACHED THEY WERE TAKEN RIGHT BEFORE I CHECKED OUT SO THE ROOM HAD BEEN LIVED IN!!) The room was clean, semi spacious and didn’t have any offensive smells (I have really bad sensory issues so smell is a pretty big issue for me). There is also a mini fridge, kettle and two closets, one that you can hang clothes up with draws and one with draws only. There was plenty of space to put my luggage and the bed was big with really nice pillows. The bathroom is a bit small but worked well. The wifi worked perfectly but I was only there for a short time and was in the room for an even shorter amount of time because I was mainly out doing things but every time I used the wifi it worked great. The location is absolutely perfect, super close to a train station and bus stops that can take you to touristy areas really easily! The small downsides about this room was after a shower especially it can be a bit humid but there is a working ac so no problem and the tv didn’t work but I wasn’t in South Korea to watch tv so not really a big issue. Absolutely amazing hotel, would 100% recommend to anyone who is going to Seoul.

夜、隣の部屋の話し声がうるさくて寝れなかった。 夜8時を過ぎると周辺のお店はほとんど閉まっていて、夕飯を食べるのも一苦労でした。 シャワー室が狭くてびっくり。安さと便利さから言ったら、文句は言えませんが。

良い点 南大門市場の中に位置しているようで、明洞やソウル駅にも歩いて行けた。便利な場所だった。 シャワーの出はとても良く、熱いお湯が出る。 ウォシュレット付水洗トイレ。 ベッドは硬めで寝やすかった。 部屋のゴミ捨てとタオル替えは毎日してもらえる。 無料朝食サービスがあるようだ（利用しなかった）。 新世界デパートがほぼ目の前にある。　　　 金浦空港から近い。 近所に中央郵便局がある。 悪い点 部屋は激せまでスーツケースを全開できるのはベッドの上だけだった（シングル）。 小虫が数匹いた。 トイレの紙はゴミ箱に捨てる方式。 ホテルロビーに行くエレベーターに乗る前に、ホテルの出入り口から20段程の階段を登る必要がある。スーツケースを持ってない上り下りが非常に大変だった。 全体的に清潔感が感じられない。 窓からの良い景色は望めない。天気が良いか悪いか位の判断はできる。 受付の人はただそこにいるだけって感じ。　 地下鉄駅の会賢駅7番が最寄り。古い駅なので階段利用なしでは上り下りができない。1番出口エレベーターは修理中で使えなかった。 結果帰国日はソウル駅まで歩いてエスカレーターを使う選択をした。 1人で街中での滞在を希望する人で荷物があまり多くない或いは郵便局で荷物を送れるくらい韓国語が堪能な人には良いホテルだと思う。

The reviews on google are correct. Room smelt of mould. Vent in the bathroom/shower room wasnt working. Luckily the cleaning ladies sprayed mould spray during cleaning, but the smell comes back. This is cheap and you get what you pay for. Bed is not comfortable. Room size is alright.

I don’t recommend staying at this property if you’re traveling with a baby. To reach the elevator, you first have to walk up a set of stairs, which makes it very inconvenient for strollers or heavy luggage. The rooms are extremely small and can’t accommodate large suitcases comfortably. Be cautious about bringing food into the room — they charge for any stains found on the bedding or towels. I also noticed mold behind the cabinets, which raises concerns about cleanliness and maintenance.

It is located in middle of famous shopping and market area so convenient every activity. It can expect of cleanliness inside commercial area

House keeper didn’t place shampoo, body wash each time when I did hang up the clean tag on the door. I have to go ask front desk… Breakfast is nice with no charge. WiFi - the user name is wrong on the instruction note of the room … on the last day, I stayed, WiFi show week security then show ‘ no internet connection ‘ it keeps on and off… bad! But truly the first three days wifi was offering good connection thou..

The hotel is pretty basic but in a convenient locatuon, with friendly staff too. It's not luxury but doesnt pretend to be, so if you are just looking for a comfortable place to sleep and start the day then it will tick the boxes

Very simply located for shopping Reception closes at 10:00 pm. If you need anything after 10 you're all alone. Everything needs to be rented from the hotel If you need an extra key to keep the heating working while you're out due to the very cold weather , then you need to pay for an extra card. If you need an adapter you have to pay for it ..everything is paid for. I had to leave the hotel at 4:00 a.m. nobelman no Porter nobody to help me with my luggage although there is one big flight of stairs to be used until you get to the lift. . Otherwise the rooms are very very small. For the very first time I see a shower hooked to the top of the sink so there is no step in shower or bathtub You just have the handle of the shower which is hooked to the sink and have your shower in front of the sink with the water from the sink very strange.

Walls were soggy with mildew, no ventilation in room so it gets extremely stuffy with mildew smell. When you shower everything in the room gets wet with condensation due to not having adequate ventilation.

My room had a lot of mold all over the bottom of the walls.

Um hotel bem simples mas muito bem localizado. Atendeu todas as minhas necessidades, a estadia foi tranquila e os funcionários são muito gentis. Fácil de chegar via metrô ou ônibus traslado do Aeroporto de Incheon. O café da manhã é bem simples mas muito satisfatório. Há uma enorme variedade de lojas ao redor do hotel, além de conveniência e mercado noturno.

The staff were very helpful and kept our luggage after our checkout. We really appreciate that. The only thing would be the smell at the top floor. It looks like a offices building made a hotel. Although it was a nice stay it was not very convenient that the elevator is located at the first floor. But everything else was perfect.

場所は最高の立地でしたが、部屋が８階なのにエレベーターは点検中、チェックイン時は、フロントは無人でLINE のQRがあったので連絡をしたら、予約されていないという素っ気ない応対。 夜の大雨の中泣きたくなりました。

I like to walk so for me it was close to everything, it was perfect location, I walked to the Seoul station, there are two markets really close, I walked to the Seoul Tower, simply perfect.

I decided to stay there in order to go to Namdaemun Market in the morning. I was traveling alone, and I was given a room with 3 beds, and even the blankets were dirty. The most ridiculous thing was that the door lock didn't work properly, so the door wouldn't lock properly and shook, and I tried to contact the manager for 40 minutes, but I couldn't get through. I couldn't even shower because I was afraid someone would come in, and I stayed up all night, wearing clothes and covering myself with a towel. It was a really scary experience.

Super close to myeongdong and stations, so convenience

Pretty low quality hotel hidden on the last top floors of a shabby building.There is no reception, no free wifi. The rooms are in serious need of some TLC, and the blankets smelled heavily of camphor. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you want a place to sleep close to the night market. Definitely below the standards of hotels.com

酒店位於南大門市場內，但夜晚收攤後，周圍環境寧靜，適合休息。房間空間不大，雖然可以兩邊落床，但床尾通道太窄，不方便走動。還有最重要一點：酒店入口跟升降機之間有十多梯樓梯，拿大型行李箱的需要注意！

部屋には絶えずコバエがいます。 シーツはきばんでおり、タオルは黒ずんでいます。 シャワールームがなく、洗面器の上でシャワーを浴びなければなりません。 トイレも同じ場所にあるため、シャワー後はトイレの床もびしょびしょです。 シャワールームの扉はきちんと閉まらないため、シャワーのあとは廊下まで水浸しです。 冷蔵庫、金庫、ドライヤー、テレビはあります。 絶対に行かないことをお勧めします。

外観は古い、ホテルに人がおらず。チェックインはカードが置いてあるだけ。チェックアウトもカードをその階に置くだけ。朝食付きだが用意されておらず。

서울 중심(남대문시장, 명동)에 있어 출장업무에 아주 좋았으며 남대문시장과 명동 투어도 아주 쉽게 접근할 수 있었으며 특히 아침 조식은 딱 맞는 영양식으로 부담없이 즐길 수 있었습니다. 기회가 되면 다시 찾고 싶습니다. 감사합니다.

立地は満足 ソウル駅からも徒歩圏内で南大門、明洞エリアで観光ショッピングには問題無い

這間不可能是三星級酒店，最多是一星級酒店或甚至是一間賓館。酒店所在地在明洞購物區及首爾站附近，位置方便。

업무차 급하게 예약했는데 가격대비 괜찮았어요 일단 접근성 아주 좋았어요 대중교통이용 너무 편하고 백화점 남대문등 주변 환경도 좋았어요 생각지도 못했는데 간단한 토스트 후라이등 조식까지 받아서 이 가격에 이 정도면 굿입니다 다만 시설은 조금 노후된듯하고 샤워실이 좁아서 무리는 없었지만 그래도 좀 당황스럽기는 했어요

Upon arrival, it was immediately noticeable that the lobby area was in a state of disrepair and cleanliness. The worn-out appearance and lack of cleanliness left a negative first impression, which was not rectified throughout my stay. Additionally, the absence of a receptionist and the DIY style of picking up room keys was highly unusual and concerning. This practice not only felt impersonal but also raised serious security issues. It was alarming to realize that anyone could potentially access keys to different rooms without any form of verification. Moving on to the room itself, I found it to be inadequately sized. The limited space meant that even basic tasks such as opening luggage became a challenge, as there was insufficient room to fully extend them on the floor. Furthermore, the condition of the bathroom left much to be desired. The small and outdated facilities were accompanied by issues such as water leakage, making the overall experience uncomfortable and inconvenient. The tiny sink in the bathroom was particularly frustrating, as it did not provide adequate space for basic hygiene tasks such as washing one's face. Overall, my stay at Cozy Hotel fell far below expectations, and I believe there is significant room for improvement in various aspects of your establishment. I hope that you will take this feedback seriously and consider implementing necessary changes to enhance the quality of your services and facilities.

good for travelers

狭いことは　解っていたので　問題ありません。 が入り口エレベエータまで１Fの上らないといけないとは 知りませんでした。帰りの荷物を考えた方が良いですよ。 バスタブがないので　そのつもりで。 廊下は少し匂います。部屋に入れば大丈夫。隣からの音は小さかったです。　

明洞で観光の近くだったので、立地条件がとても良かったです！！

Pictures are very misleading. Reality did not meet expectations. First off, the entrance and hallway is dark, eery and looks like the set of a horror film. The rooms are much smaller than they appear on the website, and they are old and just drab. Linen and towels are shaggy and need to be replaced. The bathroom smelled AWFUL and needs a deep clean and update. Worst of all was the heating. There’s no underfloor heating, just an old air conditioner that takes ages to warm up, is very noisy and doesn’t stay on all night. It was freezing cold inside the room WITH the heater on. Definitely won’t go back. The only positive thing was the helpful person who works at the front desk and emailed us before and during our stay.

Hotel Cozy is an excellent place to stay due to it's reasonable price and great location. Hotels.com list it as a 3 star hotel and it holds that rating greatly. The breakfast is fresh and has a nice variety. Everyday they change a few things about the menu so it's not boring to eat there. The rooms are clean and fairly well equipped, I only wish there was a iron and ironing board in the rooms. The one we had was a standard double and it was just the right size for two people. If you are travelling with more, I suggest getting a larger room. House keeping is friendly and respectful. The hotel is located only a minute or two from the subway station and multiple bus stops which makes commuting around the city easy. Truly a great hotel for the price and location.

Arrived on 18 Dec 2019. To our surpise, our online booking for a family room with Hotel Cozy was cancelled. For the next ten days, stayed in two separated room being assigned to us. Seriously hope that the hotel staff be more meticulous in handling the booking record. It should not happen again.

The entrance way was a little difficult to find at night. You have to go down a bit of a hallway and to an elevator. The check in counter is on the 10th floor. The check in staff were very friendly and checking in and out is smooth. Breakfast is good, with a few options to select from, but not might be difficult for someone picky. The room and building itself are a little old, but clean. The shower is in the same room as the toilet and sink, though this is not uncommon in Korea. For price and location, this hotel is very reasonable.

Cons: was arranged to a smaller corner Superior Twin Room, expecting a regular Superior Twin Room that I have paid for; You need to walk one level stairs to get to the elevator, because elevator looks like on the 2nd floor. Pros: Very closed to a subway station and airport bus station; People at the front desk can speak English, Chinese and Korean, very friendly.

We stayed for 4 nights at Cozy hotel. The room is small but neat and tidy. The location is very good. The breakfast is quite good. Overall, Its recommended for a budget short holiday. Thank you.

Very convenient location to Namdaemun Market and Myeongdong!

Was there in around winter spring, the water shower always cold and sometimes to hot. The room is not looks in picture. The best is only staff and location. Never come back anymore with that price for hotel

Smelly, dirty, stains, cold, small, stincky. Dark dark dark. No light in the bathroom. How to shower. How to shave. Waste of money

The location is great - you are quite close to 2 underground stations and have a real contrast in shopping - the luxurious Shinsegae main store up the road or an expanse of street stalls in the other direction. Breakfast is basic - toast, cereal, juice, but they cook you a fried egg and bacon or sausage. Rooms are a bit small but OK - bathroom good. there are stairs to the lifts. Tip - if you can afford it, try the cafe on the 4th floor of Shinsegae - expensive but the chocolate cake is to die for!

It was very close to many things but the walls in the room were dirty and old

the location is good, easy to get around, right at Namdaemum local market, 3 minutes walk to subway station. Room is pretty small, set up is not ideal, need to sit on your bed to watch TV. Do have a lot of english channels on tv. Breakfast is very basic.

Really small room. Should be a motel not hotel. Our mattress was dirty, tiny shower, toilet and shower same space. Room very stuffy.

The entire staff and Manager have been very helpful. The airline lost one of our luggage when we arrived and the staff rang the airline repeatedly even though it was closed because it was the 24th of Dec. The Manager was also very helpful and tried his best to communicate with in English. We would recommend this hotel because of the excellent service we received from everyone.

Great location for a very good price. Also includes breakfast which they will cook for you. Very friendly staff and helpful. They have everything for a converter to a hair dyer. They also have a weighing scale atbthe lobby for the luggages.

Loved Seoul. Great city to visit and experience at least once in your life time. The hotel was located in a busy area that is close to subway as well. So easy to access the subway and get around the city. The hotel overall was clean and had friendly staff and breakfast was good too.

This hotel is affordable, and has good service. Shoutout to Mr Chun who upgraded our room and Ms Sun for helping us book all our tours and taxi, and to the rest of the staff for being accommodating with all our questions. A nice budget priced hotel to stay at in downtown Seoul, South Korea. This hotel has a convenient location within steps of the Namdaemun Market, underground shopping malls, many buses and subway stations. Also, it's within walking distance to Sungnyenum Gate, Myeong-dong Market, Doeksungug Palace, City Hall and Seoul Station. My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was always helpful and friendly during my entire stay there. Complimentary breakfast was nice and in particular I enjoyed the fresh eggs, hot meat and fruit slices which were offered every day. After a long flight to Seoul from Canada, I arrived and was given a warm greeting during check-in. Not only that but the check-in person cheerfully helped me to arrange a few bus tours right after issuing me my room entry card. Everything at Hotel Cozy was done very well by the staff. This included the staff cooking my breakfast every morning, daily room cleanings and always being helpful at the check-in counter for giving me precise directions to sightseeing locations using both the subway and bus systems. Every morning cleaning crews left a few bottles of spring water in my room, which was both very much appreciated and a nice extra touch. Staff did everything possible to make my sixteen (16) day stay enjoyable and pleasant. I am very happy with my accommodations at Hotel Cozy.

We booked a triple room. The room is a bit small but it is very clean and has all amenities. However, we find the matresses provided are not thick enough ( can feel the coil springs inside).

Never recommend Cozy Hotel. Telephone limited to front and room to room, not for any outside local calls. I mistaken to left in the room, few drawers with camera, iPod, etc. during checkout, non of the items kept in Lost and Found, after my checkout. Shower only at narrow toilet room!??? with curtain, no bathtub, of course. Breakfast cheaply stuffed. Room so narrow, table is only 1ft deep. Just, NEVER TRY this terrible COZY HOTEL?!?!

The room was nice, the hotel does not appear to be new but is very well taken care of! Hidden from the main street but the hotel is easy to find. The hotel is quiet and comfortable.

I stayed at the hotel for three nights and I could change from a twin room to a triple room at the last night due to a bad smell coming from the bathroom. The staff is very helpful.

As a family consists of 2 adults and 2 kids, I stayed in room 508 (a family room with 2 single beds and 1 double bed). Thus, sleeping wise, it is spacious for us. Though, the space in the room is not big, it is ok for 4 of us. We have only one big luggage, thus, no problem with the space. This hotel is not new, thus do not expect brand new clean furnitures, fittings and fixtures. We paid a total of SGD383 for 4D3N including simple breakfast. I think the price is considered cheap if you compare with all other hotels in that area. The location is very ideal if you are on free and easy trip. It is near to the airport bus stop, train station, a lot of shops and restaurants. We were able to walk to Myeongdong shopping street twice as it is not far away. Another good thing about the hotel is that, we had a really early check in at about 10 am plus (check in time is supposed to be 2pm). The staff at the reception counter and breakfast restaurant are very polite and friendly. I was very concerned when I read in some reviews that there is foul smell coming out from the toilet. Fortunately, we did not experience that.

My family stayed in a family room of this hotel, which turned out to be roomy enough for four, in terms of both bed and bathroom space. We had no problems with heated water or air conditioning. The area serving breakfast was tad small and had limited selection of menu, but the staff serving the eggs & ham was very kind and it was good enough for a light meal. Overall, we had a good stay.

When I arrived, I didn't realize how small my room would be, but that was okay, considering I was just going to be sleeping here. What made it bad was the fact that the AC didn't work and neither did the phone, so when I had an issue, I had to go to the receptionist since I couldn't call her. I was with another friend and WE BOTH had to take several trips to the receptionist together because we were only given one key, and you need a key to keep the lights on and you also need the key in order to get up and down on the elevator. It was 11pm when we arrived and since our AC didn't work, we requested to move rooms, but all of the rooms were already book. It was so inconvenient. They did fully refund our money back, but I had to call cheaptickets myself to ensure the refund and basically played middle man between cheaptickets and the hotel receptionist/staff, which took another hour. By the time we left Hotel Cozy (at this point we are hotel-less), it was 1:30AM.

nice place. room was spacious and had 2 windows. perfect for 1-2 people needing inexpensive accomodation. however, you can find guest houses in better locations and smaller (yet better) rooms for less money ($25-35 USD). this one was around $50 USD.

This hotel was very close to everything the subway, but not to seoul station as the website mentioned, market close.. seoul tower close.. However, no restaurant, the front desk not too friendly, the room floor was dirty full of hair, the shower was all in one with the toilet.. didnt like that.. but the amenities was good, fridge, coffee, voltage converter, great ac.. very small compact.. very dirty floors and bedding.. and dust everywhere. everywhere.

Aircon was blasting at full capacity in winter when heater should have been turned on instead. Hotel staff were curt and hostile. Stay here if you really have no choice.

I can't believe the hotel is rated as three stars. I've stayed in other major city hotels before so I understand the space premium but this was really small. The bathroom/toilet was weird, tiny (we are relatively short people but even we struggled) and as other reviewers have commented, really smelled. To save space, they have the shower over the sink. There is an extractor fan outside the bathroom which you cannot turn off so there is this constant whirring noise. The towels and bedding (although I hope they were clean) had stains on them. The surfaces were dusty and the walls had several scuff marks on them. During the first night's sleep, we were awoken by dripping sounds and found that the ceiling was leaking. We asked to be moved and they placed us in the room above our original one. Oddly, the second room was slightly bigger and thankfully the bathroom/toilet was odour free this time. Unfortunately one of the days we found a cockroach happily crawling up the wall. Also had the extractor fan outside the bathroom which was constantly on meaning we frequently awoke gasping for water as the air was so dry as a result. We paid for breakfast with our room and it was below ok and got cold quickly. I would not stay here again and if it hadn't been prepaid, we would've checked out after the first night. If you must stay here, do not get the breakfast and instead use the money to get a bigger room or better still get a room elsewhere.

As the title says, the hotel is indeed very nice. The only downside is the bathroom which is very small. I didn't have a proper shower, half bathroom was used as shower itself. I suppose it's ok for the price. Also the location is very good if you love markets or just want to be in the middle of some action.

You couldn't ask for a better location. This hotel is right by two of the most interesting places in Seoul. The rooms are fairly large, and had a desk and shelf. I stayed here for five nights, and the first two or so days, the Internet was very bad. I could barely connect, and would be dropped after just a few minutes. I had a little more success connecting to the floor below me, but it was still very likely to be dropped. However, whatever problems they were having seemed to be rectified towards the end of my stay. The staff was nice, and helped me order a taxi early in the morning for an early flight.
