Hill Top Swiss Cottage

Location, cleanliness, morning yoga, being able to order a selection of very tasty food and drinks through room service. Plenty of hot water, spacious and very well maintained rooms. We were given the choice between two rooms, both with incredible views. Very good value for money.

There is no coffee available before 8 am. This could be fixed by offering instant coffee bags in the room alongside the tea. The road from the hotel to town is a little shady, as it’s narrow and curved, especially at night when it’s dark you gotta stay alert as there’s a bit of traffic and you’re walking on the side of the road with not much visibility. Less agile/safety concerned folks might wanna use a rickshaw for this stretch of road. On the bright side this stretch is only a few hundred meters and then you’re good.

Great room, yoga Shala with good mats to use. Also I could extend check out by 3 hours, which was very nice.

Coffee at breakfast was not good

Our family loved this place and have excellent time. You get to see Ganga river from your stay. The staffs are amazing and they helped in carrying our baggage to our room as you need to climb some steps. Best place and good atmosphere, Clean rooms and bathrooms.

It was located in a quiet place atop the hill, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Room, with Balcony had a beautiful view of the forest and hills. Room was spacious and equipped with the essentials. Property itself was well-maintained.

There was noise sometimes due to the repair work, perhaps nearby or in the property itself during the daytime!

Lovely quiet area with beautiful views. The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were perfect and one of the best we'd stayed in. Lovely local cafe for breakfast too.

Nice room with beautiful view over Rishikesh. Since the hotel is located on a hill, it is also not as busy as close to the road, which is nice.

It said ATM at premisses, but there was none. Also first the card payment was not accepted, although it was listed on booking. After some discussion the card-payment was possible. Also the toilette was leaking which was ofturning.

The property is very good, quiet and with good views. The staff were very polite, friendly and supportive. The food and service were also fantastic. Rooms were also clean with great room service.

Beautiful location outside the noise of the city with great views and nice staff. Comfy beds. The hammock was a lovely touch. The yoga room was well supplied and available all day. Despite being 20 min walk away from the city, there are restaurants, a convenience store, and massage services in the direct area. There are a lot of steps, but that's how you get the best view. I was greeted at the base and my bag was carried up, even when arriving at 5:30am.

No hooks on the wall. No bedside light or switch. Room service got my order wrong and wouldn't take it back.

Everything was perfect. Morning yoga was so great and with wonderful view (and the best teacher!). Rooms were clean and it was lot of space there :) also the reception staff was nice! Definitely I would recommend the place! 💜

The location was very nice, since it is close enough to Tapovan, but still you don’t get all of the noise pollution. We where super lucky to get the rooms on the top floor, so we had our little private balcony and view of Rishikesh and the Ganga, which we really enjoyed. The rooms where well maintained and clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We also rented scooters, which were of really good condition. My dad also got 2 massages, which he really enjoyed. Everything was very much to our satisfaction, we would definetly come here again :)

If you don’t like walking stairs it might be tricky for you, but for us it was actually a nice little exercise after mostly moving with the scooter around the city

I enjoyed the peaceful location and great views from the rooftop. Watching the monkeys and nature from my balcony. Was comfortable, clean and the facilities were good.

The view was amazing! The room was large and comfortable with a lovely balcony overlooking the Ganga. The staff were very nice and helpful. The location was great as you were away from all of the craziness but with many options for eating around the hotel and just a 20min walk to Ram Jhula. The view from the yoga deck and studio was spectacular!

Ok, I personally didn't mind but I have to mention, it was a steep walk up to the hotel with our bags (no vehicle access for the last little bit) and there were several stairs to get up to the room but the very helpful staff carried our heavy bags up and my thighs got a good workout during my stay 😂 and it's called Hilltop Swiss Cottage so to be expected and the view is worth it!

A small point, but a few items from the menu were never available during both of my stays (a few of the appetizers and the fruit).

I loved my stay here, so much that I've just booked to stay here again! Its very peaceful but still close enough to walk into central Tapoven. My room was beautiful and spacious with amazing views. You can book good value excursions via the hotel, and the staff were very helpful with any questions I had. It was great having room service and a fridge in the room, as well as filter water. There is a yoga class at 8am for a small fee on the rooftop, which is very good. The food was nice

I had a really lovely stay here. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Tapovan, which I really appreciated — close enough, but away from the noise, so it’s very quiet. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well equipped, and room service is available, which is a nice plus. The view from the rooftop is beautiful. The staff are super friendly and always helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I initially booked 4 nights and ended up extending for 3 more — I didn’t want to leave. And I would definitely come back.

Séjour parfait dans cet établissement. La chambre est spacieuse et bien équipée. Le personnel est adorable. L’hôtel est plein de charme et la salle de yoga au dernier étage est magnifique. Je recommande!

I enjoyed staying at Swiss Cottage for its comfort and clean rooms, my last room was the best with the Ganga View. The sunrise came right into my window and there were monkeys every morning on the balcony. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The location was not so convenient, because there is not so much options for restaurants nearby and the traffic outside is horrible.

The property is two minutes walking from the main road which is great because is very quiet. The staff is fantastic and attended all our requests ! Transfers, recommendations , anything was a simple request for them. Definitely a good place to stay

Os quartos têm.vistas lindas das montanhas e.do rio Ganges. Os funcionários são simpáticos e prestativos..A comida é.gostosa e um bom preço.

Fica um pouco afastado, pra quem não se preocupa em subir montanha é bem legal, mas mesmo tuktuk não.leva até a frente do hotel. Em compensação, o lugar é calmo e quieto.

It was a very sweet property and reasonably priced

I've stayed twice the first time I had a nice room with views of the river, the second time they gave me a bigger room with private balcony a nice bathroom and a day bed. I believe this is a suite. The staff are very helpful. Vinod made sure I had everything I needed from the booking to the day I left. When I left they started remodeling, I can't wait to see what they do with the place.

The stairs hahaha but by day 6 you get used to it.

Hotel bardzo godny polecenia. Pokoje czyste, przestronne, ogromne wygodne łóżka, świeża i bardzo przyjemna pościel. Czuliśmy się komfortowo i bezpiecznie.W pokoju spory taras z widokiem na zieleń. Hotel jest cofnięty od głównych ulic, co zapewnia ciszę i spokój. Jednocześnie bardzo łatwo można dotrzeć do wszystkich głównych atrakcji. Minuta spacerem od hotelu jest restauracja Nirvana z przeeepysznym jedzeniem :) Obsługa hotelu doskonała !!! Ludzie, którym zależy, by to miejsce miało dobrą renomę, dodatkowo niezmiernie serdeczni i otwarci. Veer jesteś duszą tego miejsca :) Bardzo za wszystko dziękujemy i pozdrawiamy serdecznie z mroźnej Polski :))

The location is just perfect! It is in a quiet part of the Tapovan neighbourhood which is very vibrant. We rented a scooter from the hotel which helped a lot moving around, but it is also walkable distance to many places. The room was very bright, spacious, and with lovely views. They offer really cool yoga classes with a view of the Ganges river and there is also an amazing terrace with views.

Besonders gut war der Yogalehrer. Und ein sehr schönen Yoga Platz mit der aufgehenden Sonne und die Sicht über das Gangatal.

Das Hotelpersonal hat meine Daten an Dritte rausgegeben. Jemand der nach mir fragte, bestätigt, dass ich in diesem Hotel bin. Ein Now Go in Deutschland. Direktes Umfeld sieht aus wie eine Ruine oder Müllplatz. Leider verbrennen die Menschen hier ihren Müll und direkt neben ihrem Haus.

We visited in January, it was very cold and the heating didn’t work, despite the staff repeatedly telling us it did.

The works/drilling during the day - they were renovating some parts of the hotel. I had to stay in door because of a bad cold, so the noise was prretty disturbing.

Disfruté mucho la estadía aquí. Está como a 15 minutos caminando de Topovan, pero perfecto para relajarse y disfrutar de la tranquilidad del área. La habitación era muy cómoda y amplia, y estaba todo limpio. Lo recomendaría totalmente. El personal es muy amable y siempre da consejos sobre el área.
