Overall, this was a beautiful place to stay and appreciate the surrounding nature of Taroko Gorge. The facilities at the hotel were excellent and the staff were extremely professional and polite. Would highly recommend staying here for relaxation and quick access to the beauty in Taroko Gorge. They also provided a very good shuttle service to and from the Haulien Train Station.

The buffet for dinner was unfortunately not good. The lunch restaurant was excellent; however, it is not open for dinner. Also the dinner was quite expensive by Taiwanese standards ($50 per person). In hindsight, I wouldn't have bought the buffet and would have tried to find food nearby.

浴室整潔度是我住過最乾淨的, 隙縫處一點發霉都沒有

入住的前一天會先打電話提醒旅客有關管制，天氣以及飯店內可以提早入住使用設施。建議住個3天兩夜，因為飯店內的行程非常的多，光泳池就有室內，頂樓各一個，即可以一天使用飯店內的設施供以及參加活動，另外一天可以安排附近的步道散步，戶外非常容易遇到猴子，但都很溫和不會有攻擊性。

This is the most gorgeous hotel I’ve been to! The roof top was so nice! They had free yoga classes and movie nights on the roof. Loved it here!

- wandelpaden zijn er maar niet echt lang en dus maar beperkte mogelijkheden als je geen auto hebt - eet mogelijkheden zijn erg gereguleerd. - let op!!! Je moet met diner boeken, want er is geen ander optie in de buurt. - wel heel erg duur voor wat je krijgt

All about The facilities and The location! Great rooms, we got the gorge view and not sure if worth the money, but very nice room. The kids loved the play area and the pools and yogaclasses were great. Happy hour live saver. The route with the temple was amazing.

I would miss a cafe or bar service to have snacks and drinks during the day. About Taroko though we found most of the routes shut down.

I had an excellent stay at Silks Place Taroko. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff were warm, professional, and always attentive to guests’ needs. One of the highlights of my stay was the yoga class. The instructor was knowledgeable and welcoming, and the peaceful setting made the experience incredibly relaxing and refreshing. It was the perfect way to start the day and added a special wellness element to my trip. The hotel facilities, service, and stunning natural surroundings exceeded my expectations. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are so comfortable and the view from the balcony is mind blowing. The hiking trail around the hotel is lovely too, but the temple at the top is superb! The hotel offer the best breakfast and diner menu I had on the island. Looking forward to coming back

No a la carte food options, only buffet except when ordering room service. Lack of other typical services such as a bar or any place to hang out after dinner and order something.

Top Lage im Nationalpark. Leider sind die Wanderwege noch immer geschlossen... Sehr freundlicher Service. Obwohl mein Geburtstag schon 2 Tage her war bekam ich eine kleine Überraschung. Pool und Whirlpool sind top. Tolles Programm - yoga, outdoor kino, kostenlose Snacks am Nachmittag. Es gibt sogar einen kleinen laundry room in dem man seine Wäsche selbst waschen und trocknen kann.

Incredible hotel in the middle of the Taroko gorge. Service was impeccable. We had the honeymoon room which we loved and were able to use the retreat lounge which was beautiful. Great food, beautiful facilities that made the price hurt a bit less;) beautiful for weekend retreat as well. Pool and rooftop also very unique

Nothing about the hotel but most of the walking trails were closed due to an earthquake 2024. it’s better to know that beforehand if you come for hiking.

Lack of good quality in restaurant

Fantastic trip to the Gorge starting with the hotel bus that picks you up from the Hualien train station. All the staff were so welcoming and helpful. The buffet breakfast and dinner had a huge variety of excellent food. The outdoor pools and hot tubs were fun with amazing views and the bedrock bathing was a first for us. We even tried two classes, making body lotion and coffee scrub soap. We loved everything about our trip to Taroko Gorge. It was the highlight our three week trip to Taiwan.

Wow. Probably one of the best hotels I've been to. Architecturally stunning, extremely friendly staff who spoke great English and made you feel very welcome upon arrival, good size room, great outdoor pool and hot tub, with an outdoor cinema overlooking the stunning landscape. Breakfast and the evening buffet were both great also, featuring lots of good vegetarian options.

Nothing to fault.

Very kind staff, they even helped after something was forgotten at the hotel to get it back. Food was great with show cooking and a great buffet Rooftop pool and spa aswell as the entire setting in the mountains of Taroko was incredible. 10/10

This is an hotel of two characters. There is a busy, efficient , welcoming modern hotel which caters for the general tourist market. They offer modern, clean, but I suspect compact rooms which offer value. Additionaly they have the 'Retreat' rooms which are raised to an exceptionally high standard with some prices to match. We felt the extra for a 'Garden View' suite was worth it for our special occasion. The whole point of this hotel is to stay over and visit the splendid Taroka gorge. However that business plan has collapsed along with the walls of the gorge during the recent earthquake. We felt that our 'Retreat' privileges were a little curtailed owing to lower occupancy because of the restricted access to the gorge and it must be difficult for the hotel to accommodate such a curtailed business. The benefits were that a discerning tourist enjoys unprecidented access to a very quiet location normally overrun with weekenders from Taipei. The a la carte restaurant is quiet to extinct but the buffet restaurant, although busy, offers a splendid array of of truly delicious, plentiful, and quality food. The swimming pool area is a delight. There is only one modest hikng trail available but I suspect the determined hiker could make a day via the tarmac road which is virtually deserted presently on account of the timed entry to the gorge and absolutely minimal traffic. So. Bust the bank account and go for a 'Retreat' room. Challenge the hotel staff to rise to the occasion of your visit and politely make clear the aspects of your stay you wish to enjoy. I am pretty confident they will rise to your challenge and make your visit memorable. We stayed for two nights but I wish we'd had time for three. We loved our stay.

This hotel is truly outstanding. From the moment we were picked up at the train station to the seamless check-in and throughout our entire stay, the service was wonderful. The staff is exceptional, and it’s clear that a lot of thought went into every single detail to ensure a pleasant and welcoming experience. Our room was lovely—comfortable, cozy, and featured a beautiful view of the river. The food was also delicious, adding to the high quality of the stay. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to extend our trip by another night. Highly recommended!

The restaurant can feel a bit crowded during peak hours, giving it more of a "dining hall" atmosphere rather than a cozy restaurant feel.

Its a very well maintained property in the beautiful Taroko national park. Their service is excellent and the staff is very kind and helpful. Property has a Outdoor pool with a beautiful view and an indoor heated pool. Also they have a great play area for the kids and also some games for the adults like Table Tennis. They have a list of activities throughout the day available even on their website which can be booked in advance and is pretty good. We did a trail with them and the guide was amazing. There is a temple that you can visit which is just at 2 mins walk distance. Their Buffet spread is excellent with so many vegan/vegetarian options for Local food as well to try which i rarely get to see anywhere else here in Taiwan.

Great food, both dinner and breakfast, very attentive and friendly staff, spacious room and awesome outdoor pool area with views. Not to mention the free evening and morning yoga sessions by a very competent and kind yoga teacher- don’t miss them!!

We stayed here one night in April 2026 in a 2 person room with gorge view. Although we booked and paid for a stay including dinner, the latter was not known by Reception. After this was solved by our guide, we learned we could only eat at 19.30. Everything was mentioned as a fact, without any apologies. On the internet we found out that this happened to other people as well: large groups seem to get priority in the restaurant and if you do not travel as part of a large group you are only welcome after the large groups had dinner. In our opinion an unacceptable policy! At 18.00 we solved this by bluffing our way into the buffet restaurant where we noticed many available seats. The buffet was excellent although expensive (more than TWD 1500 per person). The corridors where the rooms are don’t look very attractive: dark brown carpet and poor lighting. Luckily our room was more attractive: spacious with a wooden floor and with a view on the gorge. The room has airconditioning, a tv, a minibar, watercooker and Nespresso coffee machine. And also a machine with an unknown purpose because all instructions were in Chinese (dehumidifier maybe?). The hotel has water dispensers where you can (without any charge) refill your bottles with drinking water. The bathroom has one sink, a bath and a separate shower. The bed, shower and WiFi are good. The lighting could be better. breakfast buffet is excellent.
