Reviewed Aug 26, 2026The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. There was a TV, a good sized bathroom with a pretty good shower. The breakfast was really good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Basically, what you would expect of a Holiday Inn.
There was some noise at night from people opening and closing doors, etc. We had to pay an extra £5 to park the car, which is common with this type of hotel, but surely this could be included in the room charge?

The bathroom style with the frosted swing door lacks privacy. The only clothes/towel hook in the bathroom was over the door - far too high to reach.

The shower head is fixed very high, so it’s impossible to shower without soaking your hair. A handheld or adjustable shower head would make a big difference to comfort.

Pillows a bit lumpy and hard. Breakfast not bad, pity smoothies only on the Sat morning, but hot food left out too long and some was cold. Parking charge a bit of a sting - £5/nt and only told via email a few days before.

Reviewed May 25, 2026I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Sittingbourne in Kent and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel was lovely, clean, comfortable, and very welcoming. The location was perfect and made everything so convenient during my stay. The staff were friendly and professional, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. Everything about my stay exceeded expectations, and I would happily stay here again in the future. Highly recommended!
The only thing I didn't like is the fact that the satnav took me to the other side of the hotel where there's staff parking, so I don't know, for some reason the coordinates for the entrance on most of the satnav, take you elsewhere. So that's a bit annoying because then you have to find your way out. But other than that, I don't have any issues.

Reviewed May 24, 2026The staff on reception and in the restaurant were helpful. Reception staff clearly felt frustrated at not to be able to help with our complaint about the bath and the phone. The bed was comfortable.
Filthy bath, telephone not working (no power cable), very poor design of bathroom: no latch on bathroom door so it didn't stay properly closed, 7cm gap under bathroom door letting noise and smells out into the bedroom when we used the toilet, bathroom walls made from semi-opaque glass so that using toilet in the night we couldn't switch the light on as we would have disturbed each other. Loud rumbling noise all night which kept me awake till I found some earplugs at 2.00am. No Housekeeping Team on duty during our stay, to come and clean the bath.
