Mantra Lake Tekapo

Standard Mercure had all that is advertised

Disappointed that the oven in kitchen was in desperate need of cleaning ,the dish washer had not been emptied from previous stay and microwave not cleaned from previous stay bread crumbs sitting on plate ,

the view and the modernness of the facilities.

there's no floor drain. other than that. its all good

We loved everything about our stay at Mantra Lake Tekapo. Our 3-bedroom apartment was super spacious, nicely decorated with modern furniture. A full-sized kitchen with everything you would need to put together a home cooked meal. We stayed in winter, so it was very cold out but the heating inside worked well and kept us all warm. The location was perfect as it was just a short walk to many restaurants and the supermarket. Also nearby is the stunning lake and church.

I couldn't find a fault at all, we didn't use the pool due to it being winter, but it looked like a fun place to hang out in warmer weather.

Fire place was good as very good when we arrived

We booked online a 3 bedroom apartment - 2 double beds and one single, when arriving third bedroom was locked and staff needed to come and unlock room which took some time. 2 of the bedrooms were single beds which were just pushed together - not at all comfortable.

Location, clean

Able to park car in a garage, bonus. Walking distance to Tekapo town centre Like a home away from home Adequate heating to keep warm in winter. Underfloor heating in bathrooms was so nice

Stairs a bit narrow get luggage up and down

Davvero tutto impeccabile

Loved our 2 night stay here. We booked a 2-bedroom apartment but were checked in to a 3-bedroom apartment which was a nice surprise. We enjoyed the fireplace, the full-sized kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals at night. Since being on holiday and mostly eating out at restaurants it was nice to have a couple of nights in, just chilling and watching movies. Our apartment was huge, 2 levels, modern and so much space and very nicely decorated. Our favourite accommodation so far on our trip around the South Island. We didn't make use of the swimming pool due to it being winter, but it looked like a nice area to enjoy in the warmer months. It's only about a 10-minute stroll into town where there are plenty restaurants and shopping. Check-in was effortless and the gentleman was welcoming. Overall excellent value here!

Spacious and quiet

No body lotion in two of the three pumps

Big place for family with all amenities appliances and furniture beds for a comfortable stay

It was a bit away from downtown transportation not always available Does not have a lobby for checking in guests

The self-contained apartment was incredibly spacious, clean, and warm with the underfloor heating and fireplace. Having a fully equipped kitchen and private garage made the trip so convenient. It is within walking distance of the Church of the Good Shepherd, the lakefront, and the town center and walking tracks

Everything was geeat

Very comfortable accommodation

No staff at the reception during checkin time

Its perfect, ticked every box for our stay.

The atmosphere was good and felt welcoming. Very comfortable in a good location. Good value.

The unit needed a deep clean. Skirting boards had a few layers of dust (ie hadn’t been cleaned for a while). The oven was dirty and smoked when used. Small details such as 5 forks for a group of 6 people. Dirty linen out the front in laundry bags for more than a day - though there had just been a large snow event and there was a lot of issues with cars being trapped/blocking the roads in the complex so possibly just a difficult day for staff so we didn’t complain.

easy to find.

Lovely apartment, plenty of room for my family.

2 of the 3 upstairs bar heaters didn't work.

Most comfortable and spacious motel I've ever stayed in.

Apartment had all the facilities for a comfortable stay

Nothing

An excellent property with all the conveniences.

The clothes dryer kept shorting out and we were unable to dry our clothes after washing them.

Very clean, heaps of room

Great position, very big apartment and clean

Drier didn’t work properly

So happy, comfy, lovely decor, great space. Tekapo in snow was so beautiful could not believe our eyes.

The size of the room, the kitchen facilities, the gas fireplace. Convenient to town.

The resort didn't really feel like a Mantra to me, the reception is just a room with a desk. I understand there was a huge dumping of snow but it felt like they were under prepared even though they said it does happen every year. Our drive way was snowed under and no effort to clear it for us to even park. When asked for shovel we were given a broom. The kitchen utensils were in need of replacement and the gas cooktop was fiddly to get started.

Great location and beautiful spot.

Large spacious, very clean and warm, quality bedding had everything we needed close to town & easy check in/check out.. highly recommend this accommodation for families.

Nil

Nice functional and clean accommodation. Very practical

A bit of a walk from the main town centre but still an easy walk

Very comfortable great location

The dryer didn’t work but the staff let us use another units dryer

Very spacious and conveniently located. Great facilities within the unit itself. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the fireplace to warm themselves up on cold nights.

The 3-bedroom flat (#18) (we ordered only a 1-bedroom) is big, clean, well furnished, well maintained. Even had a lockable garage.

Takes a long time to warm up downstairs. Had difficulty starting the fireplace (gas). Light in front of the unit stays on all the time (no off switch found). At -2, the window was open for fresh air (upon arrival at about 20:00).

Location near to the lake and restaurant

Beautiful place to stay

Our room we stayed in was in need of some love. Many lights not working and little heating in main living area. Apartment was reasonably clean with some expected mould in areas. Some of the kitchen utensils were not overly clean. Upstairs bedrooms were warm and cosy. Overall apartment needs some updating and maintenance but not terribly priced considering other options. Apartment also provided adequate space for our stay. Apartment had a beautiful outdoor space.

Excellent property

No breakfasts provded

No, accommodation met our needs, no grumbles

It was spacious and very cozy. Lots of heating options. It was central but a quiet location. Super king bed was amazing and comfortable. Bathrooms were excellent and shower pressure was superb. Good kitchen facilities.

The only thing was that the range hood wasn’t working but also needed a good clean. And one of the cooking pots was dirty.

Location

A bit tired

Host was lovely. Didn’t know we got an entire house! As a life saver for washing machine and drier

It was perfect

Yes

Nothing

Location was great, accommodation was clean and very roomy. Was also nice that it was on the edge of town and away from the hustle and bustle, but also close enough to walk to the shop/restaurants.

Huge town house with great facilities

Good location

Tried to rebook for same time next year was 50% more expensive

Lovely spot near the lake. Apartments were spacious and clean. Staff were very nice and helpful.

Kitchen lovely with great equipment

Reception..felt staff member was rude. Didn't apologize for keeping us waiting. Outlook from apartment was dreadful..two old buses & concrete mixer. Courtyard in the apartment was totally unloved!! Needed a good clean up. Drawer handle in ensuite hanging off.

Like a home away from home, has everything you need in the kitchen etc, 2 toilets, lovely and warm with the heaters and gas fire place. Staff were friendly and helpful also.

Had an issue with the fire place but they came quickly to sort it out

Spacious for our family

We only had a quick stay and everything was great

Spacious. Great location. Very well set up for self catering

Nothing. It was great

Great location close to walk down to the lake or walk to shops. Nice spacious apartments.

Deluxe 3 bedroom said it had a pool view from balcony but it didn’t. Needed to ask for a few basic things such as dishcloth, dishwashing liquid - needed more attention to detail overall in equipping apartment. Still it was comfortable and clean. Kitchen well equipped for crockery but short of cutlery.

Everything. Lovely apartment, cosy fireplace, everything you could want. Very friendly hosts.Love this accommodation. Shame we only stayed one night. Fabulous.

Absolutely nothing.

Place is very accessible to all the places we want to visit.

None

It was easy to check in. The unit was clean and tidy and good size to relax in. It was great the bathroom had underfloor heating.

The gas fire was noisy and very little flame (maybe running out of gas). The unit had a cooking odour about it and was unfortuanally not that nice. It had tainted the bed linen as well.

Clean and spacious with very good facilities. Very comfortable and true to the photos. Short walk to the beach and parking was easy.

Nothing.

Really nice apartment with beautiful kitchen, dining room and living room. We had a comfortable king size bed with a bathroom that came with a bathtub. Super nice digs!
