The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The location was excellent, with easy access to the lake and nearby attractions. The staff, especially Dave and Sue, were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable—we would definitely love to return and highly recommend Grand Suites to anyone visiting Lake Tekapo.

Reviewed Feb 24, 2026Wow! So much to like. Check in easy and the nice gentleman pointed out some restaurants we might like which were located just over the road. We were upgraded to one of the nicest rooms we have stayed in, it was on the first floor accessed by a lift. Modern suite with quality furniture and fittings. Good size bathroom and great shower. Lovely balcony very large with the best views of the lake and quiet. Large bed, we had the best sleep of our entire trip. The kitchen area equipped with everything you might need.
There was nothing to dislike about this suite, only I wish we could have stayed longer.

Walk to town easy and walking loop trail right outside, no need to drive. Walked to market for groceries. Cooked dinner in suite rather than eat out again. Lovely, wish we could have stayed more than 1 night. Highly recommend!
One thing, we couldn't turn on the stove vent. Must be auto sensing? If so, doesn't work. Unit #8.

Reviewed Jan 12, 2026David and Sue really looked after my wife and I. THANK YOU. Room was modern and clean. Views from our balcony out to Lake Tekapo and the pedestrian bridge were great. Easier to walk over to the restaurants, rather than drive. It's a 3 minute walk. Was a very windy night, hence the answer to the question about "how quiet was your room". It wasn't other guests or anything like that, but you could really hear the wind howling. We'd definitely stay here again. (Photo was from our balcony).

Reviewed Jan 2, 2026We kregen een gratis upgrade naar luxury studio. Hele luxe studio. Je wandelt zo naar Lake Tekapo waar je mooie wandelingen kunt maken. Op ongeveer 10 minuten lopen is een grote Four Square supermarkt.
Jammer dat er geen stoelen waren op het grote balkon om even lekker op het balkon te kunnen zitten.
