Ich war schon 7-8 Mal im Vila Galé weil ich oft beruflich in Lissabon bin. Die Lage empfinde ich mit meiner Frau welche meistens mit kommt als ideal. Es ist mit Blick aufs Meer man ist in unter 20 Minuten in Cascais, Belem und 30 min in der Innenstadt oder am Flughafen. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und die Ausstattung der Zimmer sowie der Komfort des Betts ebenfalls. Es gibt Teile des Personals welche einfach spitze sind, andere wiederum weniger.

Ich komme seit einigen Jahren regelmäßig in dieses Hotel und war in der Vergangenheit auch immer gerne hier. Leider habe ich jedoch den Eindruck, dass die Qualität von Aufenthalt zu Aufenthalt nachlässt, was ich wirklich schade finde. Unser Zimmer war erst fast eine Stunde nach der offiziellen Check-in-Zeit fertig. Wir waren bereits etwas zu früh vor Ort und uns wurde gesagt, dass wir angerufen würden, sobald das Zimmer bezugsfertig ist. Dieser Anruf erfolgte allerdings nicht. Während unseres Aufenthalts fanden im Hotel zudem zwei Hochzeiten statt. Grundsätzlich ist das natürlich kein Problem, allerdings hatten wir dadurch stellenweise den Eindruck, dass das Personal insgesamt etwas überfordert war und andere Hotelgäste dadurch weniger Aufmerksamkeit erhielten. Auch der Roomservice ließ für mein Empfinden deutlich zu wünschen übrig. Wir haben mehrfach etwas bestellt, unter anderem auch an der Poolbar, und hatten jedes Mal das Gefühl, dass unser Anruf bzw. unsere Bestellung eher unerwünscht war. Die Wartezeiten waren ebenfalls ziemlich lang. Einen Salat, den meine Frau bestellt hatte, habe ich qualitativ schon besser an der Fertigtheke im Supermarkt bekommen. An einem Tag wurde unser Zimmer zudem erst nach mehrmaliger Nachfrage gereinigt. Zuvor war überhaupt keine Reinigung erfolgt. Auf unsere Nachfrage hin wurden zunächst lediglich frische Handtücher ins Zimmer gelegt, während die alten Handtücher sowie benutztes Geschirr und Gläser weiterhin stehen gelassen wurden. Ebenfalls unangenehm ist mittlerweile die große Anzahl an Tauben im Hotelbereich. Besonders beim Frühstück im Außenbereich ist dies sehr störend. Sobald man seinen Platz auch nur kurz verlässt, stürzen sich die Tauben teilweise direkt auf die Teller und picken beispielsweise Brot und andere Speisen heraus. Auch rund um den eigentlich sehr schönen Salzwasserpool ist die Situation auffällig. Dort sammeln sich die Tauben zum Teil in größeren Gruppen, baden im Pool und trinken daraus.

Me tuvieron que cambiar de habitación porque las luces no funcionaban correctamente. Tuve que reclamar la incidencia por dos veces y esperar más de una hora a que vinieran a comprobar el fallo y a que me cambiaran de habitación. El lavamanos de la segunda habitación desaguaba muy lentamente y el agua se quedaba acumulada, pero ya no volví a reclamar porque tenía que salir a cenar y no quería volver a esperar otra hora y pico y tampoco me hacía ilusión tener que mover mis cosas por segunda vez ... Por 250€ la noche, deberían de revisar bien las habitaciones antes de ponerlas en servicio !

Gostamos das óptimas condições do hotel! Staff muito profissional, quartos muito espaçosos, excelentes bebidas do bar da piscina e um muito bom pequeno almoço.

No jantar comemos supremos de frango e não estavam bem cozidos e com muito pouco acompanhamentos! Para um prato simples deviam ter mais atenção! A sobremesa" travesseiro" muito rijo! No restaurante esqueceram se do prato sopa do meu filho porque estava incluido no Nep Menu. Mais atenção aos pedidos!

Prácticamente todo. El personal amabilísimo, muy atento con los niños, edificio patrimonial y su decoración y la parte de las habitaciones en un edificio moderno, con lo cual se combina las ventajas de lo antiguo con lo moderno. Jardín histórico y piscinas y zona infantil. Numerosos detalles con el huésped. Habitación y baño bastante espaciosos.

Es difícil encontrarle defectos.

The location is perfect for sea views, beaches nearby and a train station a few feet away. The rooms are large, the facilities are great and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, especially the reception and spa staff. Do not listen to any review that says the breakfast is limited. There are plenty of cold choices, pastries, fruit and cereal and there is also a chef making hot egg options to order. You could even have champagne with your breakfast! The building is beautiful, especially the church and the gardens. The children loved both pools and the play area. We would all love to return one day.

We only ate an evening meal once in the hotel. The food took long to arrive, they didn’t have the daily special and generally the food was not great, however the prices are quite steep. I would have liked fresh towels more often.

Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel is very close to the sea, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was spacious, and the pool and garden were beautiful.

There were a few downsides. The Wi-Fi disconnected frequently, and the walls were quite thin, so we could hear our neighbors’ TV. There were only two sockets. We also felt uncomfortable with the housekeeping staff being required to wear black and white short dresses as uniforms. The uniform felt outdated and gave an uncomfortable “maid” or colonial servant-like impression that we did not feel was appropriate.

Die Lage zwischen Lissabon und Cascais ist ideal und die Hauptstraße hört man kaum. Die Anlage ist sehr geoflegt und das Frühstück buffet eines 5 🌟 Hotel würdig. Auch die Gesamt Atmosphäre war ok.

Beim Portugisischen Personal muss man sehr geduldig sein. Die Organisation vom Hauskeeping ist nicht optimal insbesondere nicht für ein 5 🌟 Hotel. Hierfür nur eine 3/10!!! Auch ansonsten waren die Wartezeiten zu lang. Leider kam mann sich teils vor wie in einem Reinem Urlaubsresort weil das Management nicht wert darauf legt ein Blick auf die Menschen am Pool zu werfen (Sogar Kinder mit Eis im Pool,...). Jetzt werden viele sagen es ist Urlaubzeit aber für ein Hotel mit nur 88 Zimmer (Ideal) waren sehr viele Leute mit klein Kinder vor Ort und das hat leider die Exclusivität getrübt.

Perfect location, very close to the ocean and to a train station. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. You actually don’t need a rental car if you want to explore the area. The breakfast offers a variety of options, including vegetarian and vegan. And the ocean view from the balcony during breakfast is absolutely amazing. Staff was very helpful and happy to assist with any questions. Clean rooms, comfortable beds.

The Hotel itself is fabulous especially the grounds.

This is not a 5* experience! They really need a shake up with some of their staff who just didnt seem to care and just were not engaging. We had intended to have a couple of main meals here but the breakfast experience was so poor we just didnt bother. Just about every morning we had to wait ages for coffee and on two separate occasions had to to send it back because the milk had curdled. Some days we got a lovely assortment of breads other days nothing. Also they need to do something about the bar and service. They say they have two bars, which in reality are just large glass cabinets containing wine bottles with a bar shelf. No beer pumps, no optics, no atmosphere and no staff! We had some good news during our stay so ordered a bottle of champagne only to be told they do not stock it - a 5 star hotel!! Overall very disappointing and a waste of a fantastic hotel. They need to appoint a top quality manager to shake the place up and do the things 5* hotels do - top quality service and top quality staff.

Esta en una población cerca de Estoril y Cascais pero mucho mas tranquila y hay bastantes restaurantes mas económicos que el del hotel cerca

El hotel es muy lindo, excelentes habitaciones y atención. El desayuno es bastante bueno y contundente.

Creo que mi única crítica es la conexión a internet. Había momentos en que simplemente no tenía conexión y tenía que utilizar el roaming para conectar mi computador para trabajar.

Nao acho que o pequeno almoço seja um momento muito confortável. A sala é demasiado pequena.

Hyvä aamiainen, tilavat huoneet ja hyvän kokoinen ulkouima-allas. Ympäristö mukava ja rauhallinen. Useita ravintoloita kävelymatkan päässä sekä rannat.

Majoituimme neljään eri huoneeseen. Yhden jouduimme vaihtamaan ilmastoinnin ongelmien sekä muurahaisongelmien vuoksi. Toisenkin huoneen ilmastointi reistaili muutaman kerran.

I stayed at this hotel for several nights and unfortunately my overall experience did not meet the standards I would expect from a five-star property. First, I frequently experienced itching while sleeping, which made me question the condition of the bedding. Second, I often observed restaurant staff speaking among themselves in Portuguese while standing near international guests. While I understand that staff naturally communicate in their native language, the manner and timing of these conversations made me feel uncomfortable as a guest. Most concerning was my experience at the breakfast omelet station. I initially thought it might be an isolated incident, but after observing interactions over three consecutive days, I noticed what appeared to be a consistent pattern of noticeably different treatment toward Asian guests. This left me with the impression that there may be bias in the way some guests are treated. My arrival experience was also disappointing. I arrived early and politely explained my travel condition while asking whether an early check-in might be possible. Rather than receiving a simple explanation, I felt I was being lectured. In addition, staff training discussions were conducted during my check-in process, which made the interaction feel impersonal and unnecessarily prolonged. A historic building and beautiful renovation may help create the image of a luxury hotel, but the reputation of a five-star property ultimately depends on the quality of its service. Unfortunately, the service I experienced did not reflect that standard. Despite these issues, I treated the staff with respect throughout my stay and left a gratuity upon departure. I hope management will take guest feedback seriously and reflect on how all guests are welcomed and treated, regardless of their background.

O hotel é muito bonito, o quarto (Duplo com vista para piscina) é grande, limpo e muito confortável. Os funcionários são, todos, bastante educados e simpáticos.

A qualidade do pequeno-almoço é fraca, apesar da simpatia dos funcionários. Pouca comida, pouca variedade e a confecção é fraca. O sumo de laranja, por exemplo, não é inteiramente natural.

The hotel was not accommodating nor attentive. We had to request toilet paper and towels on a regular basis. Getting a drink pool side was a project. While I requested an early check-in 6 months in advance given we came from U.S., this did not happen. In addition, after staying 8 nights, we were never treated well by staff.

Beautiful kept. Always kept to a very high standard. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice pool.

Location is great. There are restaurants and cafes within walking distance. There is a Pingo Doce supermarket and chemist. Lovely little area by the hotel. Our room was large with plenty of room for two adults and one child and a very good balcony with amazing views. The bathroom had everything and a nice big bath. Big comfy bed. Nice indoor pool, sauna and steam room. Nice outside grounds. Breakfast was pleasant and a good selection. Free underground parking with electric charging points.

Although the location of the hotel is great along a pretty street with beautiful buildings, one road down is a very busy road not nice to walk along. There was no kettle in the room, I had to go to reception and carry a mug of hot water up to the room which is up two lifts, it would be nice to sit on the balcony in the mornings and evenings and have a cup of tea but not the end of the world. They play music quite loud in the hallways which is slightly odd. It seems to turn off around 9pm.

O quarto é grande , muito confortável com tudo o que é necessário para uma estadia muito agradável. O pequeno almoço muito bom e variado e funcionários muito atenciosos. O hotel é muito bonito!! O hotel está localizado numa zona com excelentes restaurantes. A vista para o mar é fabulosa!

The hotel is very nice. An old palace with an excellent refurbishment. We stayed in a top floor room, with a very nice view to the sea. Staff if friendly and helpful. Very nice garden next to the hotel. Adequate price/quality ratio.

It was April, Easter holiday but... not enough poll lounge chairs. We requested additional chairs and got the reply that it was not possible because it was not high season yet... Guests had to lie in the ground or in the grass... It is in reality a very nice 4 star hotel, but not a 5 star experience. Breakfast a bit overcrowded.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön und hat sogar einen eigenen Park. Besonderen Charme hat die alte Villa, in der man das sehr gute Frühstück zu sich nehmen kann. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet und haben einen Meerblick. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Verkehrsanbindung Richtung Lissabon ist ausgezeichnet, da der Bahnhof nur 150 m entfernt liegt.

Breakfasts were ridiculously bad for the hotel with a 5 stars on the front entrance. Only the options of eggs, few cheeses, few hams were available. The hotel didn't even provide you with a possibility of drinking normal coffee. The only option is a waiter with a pitcher of coffee in one hand and another pitcher of milk in the other hand. You might want a cappuccino? Forget. Also, no oatmeal or other food you can give to the children, so if you are travelling with your kid, you will feed him with the very same eggs without any additional options. When we were trying to order food to the room - they told us that we can't do it from a bar, only room service with a qr code they have. But the code leads you to some sort of registration form, not to order food itself. So speaking about the rooms, there is no soundproofing in the room, so you will listen to your neighbors tv even if they turned it on at a very low volume. Also, there is some sort of issue with a wifi. Its good while you stand in one place, but if you are walking throughout the hotel, its struggling to keep connection. Overall, i do not recommend this hotel.

O hotel é simplesmente lindo, com uma decoração impecável e uma vista incrível. A cada passo, um novo encanto. A capela é perfeita, os enxovais são de excelência, e o quarto com varanda é amplo e muito aconchegante. O café da manhã é maravilhoso, com muitas opções e tudo delicioso, os garçons valem ouro, tanto do café quanto do jantar, todos solicitos e muito educados, principalmente os brasileiros, são felizes em trabalhar no grupo e demonstram isso!

O que não gostei foi da minha chegada. Ficamos sem saber onde era a recepção, pois não havia ninguém para dar informações. Chegamos de táxi, e o motorista seguiu um caminho que parecia levar até a recepção, mas não era o local correto. Precisei sair procurando alguém para me orientar e caminhei pelo hotel sem encontrar ninguém, até que vi uma escada, ouvi uma voz, desci e finalmente encontrei a recepção. Acredito que seria muito útil deixar alguém no ponto onde os carros param, justamente para orientar os hóspedes e indicar corretamente o caminho da recepção. Inclusive, isso não aconteceu só comigo, no dia seguinte, quando fui sair, chegou um casal também procurando a recepção, e eu mesma precisei orientá-los. Enfim, é algo simples de resolver e que faria bastante diferença na experiência de chegada. Outro ponto que pode melhorar é a quantidade de tomadas no quarto. Se a pessoa estiver com celular, relógio e fone para carregar, acaba ficando apertado. Faltam tomadas, e se houvesse algumas próximas à cama, seria ainda mais prático e confortável, enfim, são detalhes que pode melhorar ainda mais a experiência no hotel!
