My stay at Shanghao Pudong Marriott Hotel has been truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality, attention to detail, and overall warmth from the team made the experience memorable. A special mention to Karina, Ace, and Diana — their professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care stood out throughout my stay. Whether it was assisting with check-in, helping with local guidance, or ensuring every small request was taken care of, they consistently went above and beyond. Their service reflects the true spirit of Marriott hospitality. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with comfortable rooms, great amenities, and a calm, welcoming atmosphere that makes both business and leisure travel feel effortless. Overall, this has been one of my best hotel experiences in Shanghai. Highly recommended for anyone looking for exceptional service and a truly comfortable stay.

Attentive, professional, and courteous staff. Good fitness amenities. Executive lounge has great variety of quality food and drinks with the longest happy hour I have seen (4 hours!). Many foreigner-friendly restaurants options in walking distance. Extraordinary value for money!

Very nice view from lounge, hotel crew very friendly and caring

Friendly staff, reasonable rate, fantastic room, comfortable bed, indoor swimming pool and variety choice of buffet breakfast. Value for money. Their executive lounge, another chill place with foods and drinks for hotel members. The location is just in the middle of industrial area. I’ll definitely staying here again for next business trip.

Impeccable service at every level, there is not a single point where they could do better. The room is immaculate with fantastic view, the breakfast is the best ever, the gym is of great size and well equipped, the room service is perfect.

There is nothing that I could add here.

Clean, quiet, restaurants on site and pleasant views. Better value than the hotel across the street and has a great breakfast.

Everything was perfect. Staff was really helpful. They helped us with the taxi service always. The breakfast was good, it has enough European selections. Room was pretty big and they clean it up every day.

Wifi was really slow.

On the last day of my China business trip, I decided to stay somewhere closer to Pudong Airport rather than be near the city center. Wrong choice. There is nothing terribly objectionable about an otherwise decent business hotel., but compared to some of the other Marriott properties I tried during my trip, this one fell short. For starters, the breakfast spread was very limited. This was not something specific to this particular hotel, mind you - from my experience it does appear that the quality and selections for breakfast at China's hotels have gone downhill post-COVID. In the past, I actually looked forward to a hearty morning meal before starting the long day of meetings. Other shortcomings: only two water bottles in the room, and amenities were lacking compared to other Chinese Marriotts: just mist, cotton swabs, cotton pads, hair band and shower cap. No lotion/cream, no toothbrush, no razer. Make sure to bring your entire repertoire of toiletries if you come here, as they don't offer much for their guests. Next time, I'll be stepping up to the JW Marriott in Pudong for sure.

Exceptional, clean,safe and convenient hotel

Reception and executive lounge staff were excellent.

Everything about my stay was really good! A special thanks to the receptionist who helped us at 4 AM by speaking to the cab driver — that was a huge help. The receptionist near the gym is always smiling and eager to assist, even with limited English, which is really appreciated. The receptionist by the breakfast area always greets guests with a warm smile, both when entering and leaving. The service team is wonderful: The cleaning crew keeps the rooms absolutely spotless. The sauna and steam room are excellent. The bathroom is well-maintained. The beds are very comfortable. The views are beautiful. The gym is decent and functional. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience!

The hotel room was spacious and the bathroom was nice. the air-conditioning was nice and quiet without noise. The hotel is placed in nice area in Pudong with good places nearby to have dinner.

다음날 상해 푸동공항에서 오전 비행기로 출국이라 푸동지구 쪽으로 호텔 예약했어요. 약간은 연식이 된 느낌이었지만 깔끔하게 잘 관리된 느낌이었습니다. 조식이 깔끔하니 좋았고 한국 라면도 있었어요.

Hotel feeling its age

Mostly good, the hotel is fine, but I can see it declining. Spa is closed, staff at front desk is not fluent in english (before they were), and Casa Lingo restaurant is awful

Location is good . Nearby there is a nice garden and a stream. Probably the Pudong river. Pubs , bars across the road . Starbucks further down. The reception would be able to speak English but not the other support staff . The bath amenities needs to be collected from the reception as they don’t provide in the room . The executive lounge is good. Have decent choice of drinks and food. But very strict on the timings. Not a minute late is entertained even though you been sitting there for an hour or so. Buffet is ok but not great. Only the usual eggs and noodles choices can be customised . Hotel scores on location only.
