Super clean, in a wonderful location with the most beautiful views, and lovely staff!
It is a lovely B&B on the southern edge of Rothesay. There is a bus stop <100 yards away. My single room had an excellent sea view to the north over Rothesay Bay. The bedroom was well appointed. The breakfast was freshly cooked and there were several options. Given the proximity to the bus stop it is an ideal location for catching the bus to Mount Stuart and its excellent parkrun.
It's a 15-20 minute walk from the ferry terminal but there are hourly buses nearly to the door.
Lovely stay, amazing B&B with stunning views out to sea. Just a short walk from the ferry terminal. Very friendly host, accommodating to requests, felt well-looked after, felt safe as solo traveller. The breakfast was delicious and filling. The room was clean and warm, I could adjust the heating directly for the room which was great! The drawing room was beautiful and the perfect space to relax.
Nothing I didn't like. Far exceeded my expectations and would stay again.
Close to the town centre & off road parking.

Very clean and friendly staff
It was all fine
B&B lovely mile walk by the sea from Rothsay and ferry terminal. St Ebba big attractive old house quiet and very clean with beautiful views across water from the breakfast room and guest lounge. My room spacious overlooking gardens and everything want comfortable stay including quality coffee and biscuits shower gel and moisturizer iron with ironing board and perfect shower! Choice quality cooked breakfasts with fresh fruit pots yogurt cereals traditional porridge fruit juice teas coffee looking out across water made perfect start to my day. Landlady seems genuinely enjoy taking care her guests and why house feels such relaxed stay so nice that I decided add another three nights to my booked four!
Toast could have been better quality bread.

Our 3 nights stay was amazing! Breakfasts were excellent. The room and bathroom were beautifully decorated and comfortable. Easy walk into town.
Great choice of breakfasts, with homemade jams+ marmalades. Great views and use of a lounge appreciated.
Creaky bed but comfortable.
My husband and I spent 3 nights at this exceptional bed and breakfast. Approximately a 15 minute, pleasant walk from the ferry terminal or a few minutes’ drive. Lots of on road parking with a few spaces inside the premises. Bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Large walk-in shower. Rooms cleaned and made up daily with clean towels. The room was well equipped with a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Also a spare fleece blanket for chillier nights and a kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, sugar, mugs and endless supply of biscuits. TV with various channels. In the bathroom, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, hand lotion and toilet paper. Use of free Wi-fi. The breakfast choice is amazing and cooked to perfection. Served up in a pleasant dining room with an incredible view over the bay by pleasant and helpful staff. Christine (the host) met us on arrival and is lovely and friendly. Overall, a five-star B&B, beautifully appointed, and super value for money. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and “We will be back”! Thank you to the host.
Everything was perfect.
Christine and Davey provided a very friendly welcome, and the waiting staff were very obliging. A lovely selection of breakfasts, ideally cooked, as well as many cereal and juice drinks options. Our room was extremely tidy and very clean with adequate, comfortable space. A very spacious bathroom area was enhanced with a very spacious shower area. Instant hot water on tap (pardon the pun). Beautiful scented shower and hand wash gels. Very easy access to property with relaxing seating facility allowing views across the Clyde estuary and the fantastic scenic land beyond.
That we couldn't stay a few days more due to fully booked.
Great location on the seafront, lovely owner and staff, terrific breakfast to kickstart your day. We've stayed here a night or two every year for several years, and our only gripe is we'd love to stay longer!
This year I had a little issue with shower water temperature, but that may have been because of time of day or something like that. Overall a great stay
The location Loved my room with the sea view Comfortable bed Loved the fact I had my own en suite toilet Very clean Tea and coffee making and some biscuits, nice touch Owner very friendly Fantastic breakfast Loved the big windows in the breakfast room and lounge area Property had a lot of character

Lovely view. Great host and superb breakfast
Steep staircase may not suit everyone
This b&b was a lovely place to stay on Bute. It was around 15 minute walk from the ferry port or a couple of minute drive with easy free parking outside. I found my room to be very pleasant and comfortable and quiet at night. I also really appreciated the tea selection and little biscuits provided. The breakfast to order was also delicious. Bute is a great place to visit with good walking, friendly pubs and nice restaurants. I would highly recommend this b&b for a stay on Bute.

Lovely room and breakfast, splendid old house well situated
Kristine was very welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent. Was very good value for money.

Christine came introduced herself to us staff serving serving breakfast lovely rooms lovely bed comfortable can't fault this bed and breakfast breakfast was amazing absolutely anything you wanted we will certainly be back
Nothing all fantastic
Location and breakfast was nice.
Asking the landlady for a sea view on the first day. Paying 400 GBP to stay for 4 nights to visit family from spain we were told no sorry and placed in room 1 with no views at all but back of a dull building. The 2nd point was we asked for an extra blanket as unfortunately my partner and I can not sleep in the same bed being in the army for a long period of time I have to sleep in a dark quiet room. No blanket was provided at all and my husband had to sleep in their front room during hours no guests could see. 3rd issue I had was the rooms were freezing and when we asked about potentially placing the heating we were responded with "this time of year we do not put it on". It was absolutely freezing and we had a 4 year old so they provided us with a small blow out heater. The landlady was very hard to communicate with and of course she has her regular customers that I am sure we're treated with a better manner. I would not stay or recommend this property unfortunately and have never placed a bad review any property I have stayed in. Simple of it we did not feel welcome at all and certainly not accommodated for. Kind regards Maria
Everything Plus had Seaview room Fantastic view. Beautiful large room with massive en suite

It was close to the centre of Rothesay
Nothing that I can think of
I loved every thing about it,I will go back, thank you 😃💖xx
Friendly host and staff. Well appointed room. Great choices at breakfast.
Wystrój, śniadania, widok z okna, serdeczna gospodyni.
Nie mam zastrzeżeń.
Bardzo ładny obiekt, z dużą dbałością o szczegóły, pięknie położony nad samym morzem, Bardzo dobre, obfite śniadania, miły i pomocny personel
Mój pokój był na drugim piętrze, i była ogromna różnica między wystrojem i komfortem na parterze i pierwszym piętrze, a na drugim piętrze, natomiast nie ma różnicy w cenie, co moim zdaniem jest niesprawiedliwe
Ideally situated beautiful view Bedroom light and airy Stunning lounge to watch the ferry go by and lovely sunny garden

Excellent breakfast cooked to order, choices ranging from full fried breakfast to smoked salmon and kippers. Lovely bright breakfast room with fine views across the bay....helpful extras provided in room, and well stocked breakfast tray. Friendly owner also Thanks kristine!
Cannot think of anything.
The breakfast had a wide range of choice. View from.our room was beautiful.
Fantastic little B & B. Very homely and friendly. Room clean and comfortable with everything I needed for a good night's sleep. Tea, coffee, milk, drinking chocolate and toiletries all supplied, including hair conditioner and hand/body lotion, which isn't provided in a lot of hotels. A very tasty, freshly cooked to order breakfast, plenty of choice of local produce on the menu.
It's a bit of a walk from the ferry, but nothing can be done about that, there are taxis available anyway. And the guest house is in a lovely position with great views across the bay from the dining room, residents lounge and some of the bedrooms.
Everything was great lovely place nice staff
The breakfast was very good and enjoyable

No complaints at all
A superb B&B close to the ferry terminal. A quiet night's sleep followed by a delicious breakfast.
Housekeeping was done each day ,welcome tray replenished with lovely coffee bags, hot chocolate and biscuits. Fresh towels and enjoyed using the high quality toilettries. Breakfast was made to order and delicious.
Hot weather on arriving ,Kristine said she had opened the windows and pulled down the blind a bit, it was still very warm in the room, which I knew was going to be on the second floor, a fan would of helped but I didn't ask for one
The location was really convenient for walking into Rothesay and also to the fernery. The views from our room across the firth of Clyde were spectacular. Our room was a great size with everything you could need and we enjoyed playing the board games in the lounge. The delicious breakfast was a very good start to the day.
Nothing.
Beautiful location on Rothesay Bay. Excellent cooked breakfast (very nice being able to get smoked haddock). Lovely spacious bedroom with magnificent seaview.
Nice quiet area, very clean, superb breakfast, too much really lol, beautiful views of Rothesay bay and beyond, would definitely book again, weather was super 🌞
No issues tbh
Beautiful views, good breakfast.
I had a lovely room overlooking the sea and the mountains in the background and could see the ferry going to and from the harbour. I could open the window, which is a huge bonus! The room was perfect and the bed was very comfortable. I got help taking my stuff up and down the stairs and was able to leave things and come back later after checkout. The breakfast was lovely and the owner and her son were very friendly and helpful.
There was nothing at all to dislike. This B&B was lovely
Uns hat von A bis Z alles gefallen. Die Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich und man merkt, dass sie mit Leib und Seele dieses BnB betreibt. Super Frühstück, grosse Betten, super Lage.
Gar nichts auszusetzen.
Property is a gorgeous victorian building with lots of original features and amazing views. Very clean, very comfortable. We had two single rooms on upper floor. Both lovely, one with incredible sea views and the other garden & woodland views. Great breakfast menu , delicious and served in beautiful dining room with sea views. The location is excellent. A short stroll along promanade from centre of Rothesay. Nice woodland walk behind street. We recommend Rothesay for scenery, walks and historic buildings.
All great.
Delicious, good portions and even veggie options
Everything war perfect
The whole place is gorgeous but the breakfast choice is great !
The only accessible room does not have a sea view but it is opposite the communal lounge which has glorious leather couches and a huge bay window to watch the ferries from.
We all loved the family room, very spacious, beds were so comfortable, very clean. Owner, very nice, so helpful. Breakfast, amazing.
The only thing I personally didn't like is the stairs, as I have COPD, and the family room is on the top floor. Everything else, brilliant.
Lovely sea views, yummy breakfast, super helpful staff.
Original features. Amazing original bath too
Location Views Hospitality and breakfast
Room up in the eaves was a little dated
Great place
Great location and super breakfast. The room was nice and cosy, perfect for a weekend away.

The loviest sea view room, clean and very comfy beds and duvet. Great breakfast, great location. Nice bathroom, good shower and nice towels.
Kristine‘s’ breakfast was very hearty. I'm not hungry at all after going out all day. The huge windows face the sea, when the sun comes out, it makes me feel relaxed.

Beautifully kept traditional Scottish house overlooking Rothesay Bay, comfortable warm room in very peaceful surroundings.
Nothing negative to say about St Ebba, a great night's sleep then excellent breakfast. The salmon & scrambled eggs are fantastic
The sea view
The stairs
Nice place, very good location with sea view from the room and at breakfast. Good coffee in the room and good breakfast.
Lightning in one room wasn't working properly, window and furniture a little bit shabby.
good room, location and breakfast
only one place in Rothesay providing evening meals
All over excellent

Lovely location, great breakfast, friendly staff
The stairs
Kristine gave me a warm welcome, and checked what was happening with a local Facebook group for me. My room was very clean, the bed was really comfy, the view is lovely, and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully cooked.
This is not a criticism, however please be aware that the second flight of stairs to my room was narrow and steep, and that the room has low ceilings at the eaves. I was in the delightful single room to the front. If you are fit and a good walker, it takes approximately a 20-30 minutes walk to the Rothesay ferry terminal; otherwise being acquainted with the local bus timetable is advised.
Sea view room was beautiful, super comfy beds, great breakfast. Easy to get to, great location.Great hosts very kind and helpful, I would definitely recommend this B&B
Great location and really tasty breakfast.
Breakfast service on the second morning was very clunky. Waitress seemed to have difficulty in either hearing or understanding me (well spoken northern English) received coffee after asking for tea, andI’m still waiting for the jam and brown sauce!
Great views, comfortable room with view, lovely staff and good breakfast

Warm welcome from the owner. Beautiful and warm large room with views of the sea. Lovely cooked breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend. I'll be back.
Spotless. Very large room with sea view. Great breakfast. Friendly host. Great value for money. Definatley come back.
Everything.
Comfortable bed, large room with sofa and view. Excellent freshly cooked to order breakfast. Close to town, easy parking. All great.excellent choice of breakfast including haddock and smoked salmon.

Lovely B&B with amazing sea views, immaculately clean room, super comfy bed and great breakfast. One of the few places I found that still offers the option of a single bed / an affordable option for the single traveller. I hiked the West Island Way on Bute and used St Ebba as my base. The amazing breakfast always set me up for the day, and the location (bus stop in front of the door) allowed me to get each day to my starting point of my hikes and back without a problem. And it's only a short walk to Rothesay centre, which has plenty of great options to eat out. Kristine was an excellent host, and I hope I will be back soon!
Nothing, it was great. :-)
Clean, comfortable, well-provisioned room (with a really comfortable bed!). Lovely sitting room available with an excellent view of the sea. Similarly, the breakfast room (where I enjoyed an excellent breakfast!).
