We really really loved our stay at Montra Nivesha Angkor. From the beautiful room and swimming pool, to the extremely friendly and attentive staff, to the amazing massage parlour en restaurant on site, everything in this hotel is perfect. It is in a beautiful and peaceful location close to the temples and a quick tuk tuk away from the busy city centre. Cannot recommend this hotel enough!
Beautiful hotel with a great swimming pool, long enough to do some lengths swimming in the morning. The room was really spacious.
Nothing.
The property is absolutely beautiful throughout. I especially enjoyed the small swimming pool next to the restaurant due to it's fresh water and clear depth, the elephant fountains and the floral trees surrounding the pool made for a relaxing atmosphere.
The mattress in my room was too soft and did not support my back. It was a "pillow-top" mattress. These type of mattresses also hold heat, which is not a good idea in a hot and humid area of the world. I did not sleep well at this property.
Ruhig, familiär. Sehr freundliches Personal. Grosses Zimmer, grosses Bett.
Alles gut.
Les chambres grandes et très bien équipées et la piscine entourée de verdure.
Rien
Le calme du lieu, la décoration et toute cette verdure avec le bruit de l'eau partout
Rien vraiment vraiment rien
Staff and Management went to great lengths to ensure our stay was very pleasant and comfortable, Staff always friendly and working hard towards achieving five star service in all areas.
Absolutely our favourite stay in Cambodia. Amazing tradition & decor. Wonderful staff & facilities. Two swimming pools, fantastic restaurant & spa . Highly recommend.
Beautiful property and staff - such a great location near enough town but also quiet and easy to access all you need
The pool and the plants are amazing

It was an amazing place in which to stay. It was full of character and had terrific facilities …. Kitchen (with room service) and a large swimming pool. It was kind of tropical with all the trees and plants … and the rooms, with a useable balcony, are large and very comfortable. If you are looking for a place that is not the usual sterile, predictable resort, this could be right up your alley. The staff were very welcoming and obliging. The decor reflects Cambodian art and character, even a large gold coloured elephant heat to provide water to the wash basin. It’s different and very comfortable. It would be a great place to stay for a relaxed week-long holiday….. doing nothing but relax.
Nothing … it was a very pleasant surprise.
This is a small hotel which oozes old world charm and comfort. The generous sized rooms are arranged around the central pool, surrounded by attractive, generous planting which gives the whole place a calm and gracious atmosphere. The rooms are attractively furnished with art works and beautiful traditional objects such as lacquer ware, pottery and wooden carvings. The staff service is impeccable - always extremely polite, helpful and friendly. The hotel is located just off the road towards Angkor Wat and so is very conveniently located for sightseeing. We hired bikes and rode to the temple sites each day. The centre of town is quite hectic, so we were pleased to be a little further out - and it is easily reached with a short tuk tuk ride.
My only suggestion here is that the breakfast could be a little more varied - but then I'm not someone who likes a cooked breakfast, so the alternative options are a little limited. But this is the only small thing I can think of to say in response to this question.
Le decor authentique fait avec goût Le personnel très attentionné
Verybbuce boutique hotel in good location. Friendly staff. Good restaurant on premises.
Hot water in the showers was an issue but no more than other developing countries. Staff’s English was a bit of a challenge.
Rooms are a bit tired and need renovation.
Tired room decor.
Gorgeous boutique hotel , lots of nice art work and antiques. Great staff and wonderful breakfast.
The staff were absolutely delightful and bent over backwards at all times to look after us. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet homely with wonderful artwork and furnishing throughout and leaving the street is to enter into an enchanted world. In fact it was hard to leave the hotel and see the attractions.
Off season, hence breakfast ala carte (no buffet); wide choice to select from and all very good.
Servizio, camera, piscina, location. Tutto
Nulla…tutto perfetto
Восхитительный отель - очень чистый, с интересным дизайном, с услужливым и вежливым персоналом, вкусными завтраками и хорошим кофе, безупречным сервисом.

Superb staff, large, clean and quality rooms, excellent breakfast and nice pool. Great location - near the town centre but not too busy. Great hotel

The stay was amazing. The staff will arrange all programs for you on request. They were kind enough to prepare breakfast for our 5 am visit to Angkor Wat. They also arranged drivers who serve as tour guides, so that we get the best of both worlds. The place itself is very tranquil. There is a nice Pho and coffee place next door. Will definitely come back!
Really nice hotel, very comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and wonderful breakfast. The only big issue is the air conditioning in the hotel: in the room it was not strong enough even though I keet on 17 degrees all the time was a bit hot to sleep. At the breakfast space only ventilations, so was too hot to enjoy the breakfast. In the evening pool was a bit dusty.

Lovely boutique hotel. Huge beds in a generous sized room.
We had a wonderful stay at Montra Nivesha. The hotel is beautiful. We were well taken care of by Mr Rama. We had fabulous massages and a great recommended guide ( Mr Sophy) for a 3 day Ankor Wat tour. We would definitely stay again if we return!
From landing in Siem Reap, Montra Nivesha was a really exceptional stay. The staff at the hotel, restaurant and spa were all so helpful and kind. The breakfast and food/drinks in general were great, the facilities were a calm little paradise to come back to after a long day. Highly recommend and I do hope to be back one day.
Everything. The staff, the rooms, the pool, the breakfast.
Nothing
Excellent hotel with pleasant and helpful staff. Great pool. Good breakfast.
I can’t recommend this place enough. The staff were amazing - friendly, polite, attentive. Great location - near to everything you need. Beautiful surroundings and the rooms are spacious, well equipped, beautifully decorated - the whole hotel was beautifully decorated. It’s a little oasis and delightful stay.
Rama and his team are exceptional and it’s the most beautiful, peaceful oasis. We adored Siem Reap and could not have chosen a more perfect base. Loved the pool and Spa and really enjoyed taking a tuk tuk into town in the evenings. The staff are wonderful and really made our stay. We will be back for sure. There seems to be so much choice in Siem Reap accommodation wise, and we are so glad we chose here.
A location "colonial style", full of charme and comforts. The family room, actually two large connected rooms, was huge and comfortable: unforgettable the bath tube on your private terrace, shaded by tropical trees. The two pools and the good Thai cousine restaurant were enjoyable as well. Great choice of menus for the breakfast
Having just a short three days stay...
Smaller, intimate, dedicated and professional staff; highly oriented towards sustainability
Nothing! (mosquitos if I needed to be picky, but inevitable here - Siem Reap - anyway, and always provided with biologically developed repellent)
Lovely hotel! The room was very big and had a nice balcony (although couldn’t sit out there because of the mosquitos!) the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was nice and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. There wasn’t much choice for veggie/vegan breakfast but it was ok. It’s about a 30min walk to the main town but easy and cheap to get Tuk Tuk. Really enjoyed our stay here, would recommend 😊
I enquired about almond or soy milk before I arrived and was told there would be almond milk, but when I asked for it at breakfast they said they didn’t have any. The breakfast choices for a vegan are minimal, it would be good to include some more options.
Fantastic Atmosphere. So many details in the architecture, the interior design, the way you are treated. Lovely staff, really amazing breakfast, well sorted library, awesome signature cocktails. 2 beautiful pools. We will come back and stay longer next time!!!
The property is amazing, best hotel ever. Do yourself a favour and book a room here.

Lovely tasteful property
Delicious breakfast with option for pre-packed breakfast if doing sunrise temple tour. Quiet location that is an easy tuk tuk ride to city centre.
Lovely pool and very large room well decorated
An hotel that can be described with a single word: perfect. Beautiful rooms, super polite and helpful staff. Good breakfast and excellent restaurant. They will organise any transport and any activity. You could not ask more.
Attention to detail Will definitely stay here again Prices reasonable
Very comfortable bed and pillows. Great shower. Nice area around the pool to relax. Great tuk tuk rides into town which were $3 each way. Booked a guide and tuk tuk for the day at reception to visit Angkor Wat which was fantastic. Had nice spa treatments.
Service a bit lacking at times at breakfast and for drinks around the pool. Fixtures and fittings in the room are a bit tired but overall comfortable and clean.
Very comfortable. Staff very charming and helpful. Good location.
Music in the restaurant.
Absolutely loved the hotel. Beautiful room, super comfortable bed. Great breakfast option. We had a breakfast box when we left early to watch the sunrise. Staff all very friendly, good food in the restaurant too. We organised all our trips through reception and had our own Tuk Tuk Driver for 3 days, who was great and very flexible.
The only thing that stopped it being a 10 were the howling street dogs, they were dreadful. Several hours during the night they kept us awake. I appreciate the hotel can't do much about it but it did just take the edge off the sleeping experience.
Great location- good breakfast- huge room
Nothing
Just like in the photos. Extremely well cared for, clean, etc… wonderful and obliging staff. The breakfast and the restaurant were excellent. I would very happily return.
Nice adjoint rooms, comfortable beds. Nice breakfast.
Need more seats by pool.
The staff was exeptionally helpful. Especially Rama was great. The green pool area is beautiful and a wonderful place to relax after a long day among the temples. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Siem Reap but still close to Angkor Wat.
There were no "didnt' like"
Fantastic breakfast, great pools, very comfortable room, friendly staff
Staff could speak a bit better English so that it is easier to communicate about available trips
spacious room, luxury bathroom, lovely swimming pool
we were on the left side of the hotel on ground floor room 121. it was noisy due to ano property next door. we were woken by cockerels from 3am onwards
We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Mantra Nivesha Hotel in Cambodia, and the experience was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warmth and friendliness of the staff, made us feel instantly welcomed. Their genuine smiles and helpful attitude added a personal touch to our stay. The hotel itself exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and amenities. The rooms were immaculately clean, and the attention to detail in the decor created an inviting atmosphere. The well-maintained facilities, including the pool and dining area, provided a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. What truly stood out, though, was the incredible hospitality of the Cambodian people. The locals, both within the hotel and in the surrounding community, were incredibly kind and gracious. Whether it was receiving local recommendations from the staff or interacting with locals during our explorations, every encounter left us with a positive impression of the genuine warmth that defines Cambodian hospitality. We would highly recommend Hotel MV to anyone seeking not only a comfortable and enjoyable stay but also an opportunity to experience the wonderful hospitality of the Cambodian people. It's a truly enriching experience that goes beyond typical hotel accommodations. The highlight of our stay was going on a 6 hour motorbike tour exploring the countryside surrounding Siem Reap!
Quiet location, beautiful pool & grounds. Large colonial style room with balcony and outdoor bath.
The adjoining family room/suite was fantastic, staff were attentive and helpful.
Breakfast was disappointing. Noisy neighbouring property. A little further out of town, but only $3 to get anywhere.
Very friendly staff who went out of their way to please. The hotel is very stylish and the bedrooms large and exceptionally well appointed. Lovely pool and pool area. Exceptional breakfast with lots of fresh produce and choice. We thought it incredible value for money. Although it is a little out of the centre of Siem Reap this wasn’t an issue as there was always a Tuk Tuk outside.
The only thing was we asked the hotel to sort out a transfer to Battambang. The did this but the cost was $20 above what they quoted and the quote was already much higher than for our other transfers which were much longer.
I enjoyed staying there. All staffs were respectful and helpful. Foods were good. Spa service was great. The hotel is very clean and beautiful.
Montra Nivesha is an absolutely beautiful, peaceful oasis. The hotel is a short (6 or so km depending) driving distance to Angkor Wat sites, but also around 2 km from the bustling downtown of Siem Reap. The hotel common spaces are particularly great, especially the pool, which is surrounded by abundant plantings and flowering trees, and the breakfast restaurant, which provided an extensive menu on top of a buffet spread every morning. Our room also had a large balcony with good seating overlooking all the gorgeous greenery. It was so much fun to spend the days seeing Angkor Wat and the late afternoons swimming and reading on the balcony. The staff is very friendly and helpful, including organizing transportation and/or tours to and from all the Angkor Wat sites and to local and downtown restaurants.
Everything about the hotel is wonderful, but if you want the intense downtown party scene, stay closer to the Old Market area in Siem Reap. We loved the quieter, less touristy location of Montra Nivesha and the tuk tuk rides to and from dinners and shopping downtown.
Lovely big room, good decor and details. Staff were wonderful and made me feel very special. Really excellent.
The room was very nice, it was big and comfortable. The staff was helpful and they arranged a few trips for us. I also enjoyed the massage and the tea after was a nice touch. The breakfast buffet and restaurant served delicious food, better than other places we tried in the city.
A pleasant and cozy atmosphere greeted us!
when you arrive at this hotel you think about how sad you will be the day your stay ends. One of the best hotels I've ever stayes in with regard to beauty, efficiency, food, cleanliness
Caring staff, outstanding food, beautiful rooms
Great service and a sustainability focus on minimising waste
Was away from the city centre though only 15mins walk and 7 11 around the corner. Was nice and quiet.
As of Dec 2013 all flights arrive at new airport which is 1 hour from city instead of 10 mins with old airport. Hotels no longer offer complimentary airport service. Taxi is $35 and ATM at airport only gives US dollars ($100 notes!) which are accepted everywhere as almost the preferred currency. Any, even slightly, damaged US bills will not be accepted so bring plenty of small bills with you. We were offered good looking US $2 bills for change at the market in town so one wonders how authentic the other change is. The hotel is an intimate, wonderful example of a true boutique hotel. We had a very enjoyable 4 day stay. The hotel restaurant is excellent and very fairly priced. Totally recommend.
Lovely
Cockerels crowing in the morning
Our room was excellent, large and very good facilities. The swimming pool was relaxing and we also used the spa, treatments were very good. The evening meals were excellent in their restaurant, we enjoyed this stay.
Roma was an excellent help with booking trips and overall helpfulness with advice.
Amazing hotel, 💯% recommend A fabulous hotel, luxurious room and general all round ambience. This was our first time in Cambodia, and it was full of great experiences. The decor and comfort level was outstanding and the staff were so friendly and attentive. Everything has been carefully thought through from their no plastic policy to drinking water in the bathroom. The hotel is outside the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap centre and is quietly hidden away from the road, behind lush vegetation. You can cheaply get a Grab Tuck tuck into the centre for about US $1.20. We ate in the restaurant one evening and if you’re looking for a special dinner this was a good choice. It was very quiet as I guess most people go to the Pub Street area, the food could be described as modern Cambodian and worth trying. They also have a happy hour between 4-6pm. Breakfast is also recommended, you can have a western style or fill up on Cambodian rice and noodle options too which were delicious. The hotel arranged for a taxi to the new airport for US$50 - which took the pressure off us to arrange, unfortunately the seatbelts did not work which for a long journey was frustrating.
Well appointed rooms, personalised service, great staff - very attention and polite. The restaurants were excellent as well.
Nothing as such.
This place is absolutely delightful! Beautiful place, great pool, excellent staff, delicious breakfast, makes you feel in heaven. Everything works smooth and perfect. From the pool service, to the comfy breakfast you take to the Angkor Wat at 5am, or even the useful pick up/drop off service. Again, great staff. It’s a small paradise, for sure we would come back. By the way Camboja is a great country ❤️
Everything and everyone
Nothing to say
Everything was perfect! Excellent welcome, free transfer from/to the airport, room was spacious and very clean, and very calm, the big pool was very nice with luxurious vegetation all around (we didn’t go to the other pool), happy hour was great - half off, so the beers at the pool were extra refreshing, restaurant was excellent, really can’t recommend going anywhere else. They helped with the tour around Angkor Wat (thanks Mr. Ral !!) Staff at the restaurant and at breakfast were extremely professional, great service. They even had slippers for the room, and flip flops for the pool. One of the best hotels we’ve been to.
Nothing
One of the top hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Exceptionally nice room, good breakfast, wonderful service, gorgeous pool
Great hotel! They help you with excursions for good prices! Delicious breakfast! Good food! Sustainability is high in this hotel, what is nice these days.
