Friendly staff and great location
Nil
Location is 100%, not too far from all the central activities. 20 mins walk or 5 minutes tuktuk. I loved the location because I really got good sleep! Facilities are very good and clean! My number one is the staff! I only got few names including Ms Kim at the reception and MsTheara at the restaurant. Overall, the staff made my stay comfortable, safe and well looked after, especially, the reception crew who always smile the widest! Another bonus point is, it is beside a big supermarket! Thank you so much!

Sala Siem Reap delivered a fantastic stay! The staff were warm and welcoming, providing a friendly and thorough induction right upon arrival. The pool area was a great spot to unwind, and the location is ideal, with convenient shops right next door. Highly recommended for a comfortable, stress-free trip!
Fantastic hotel with such a lovely pool. Great location, we walked into town & back but it is a bit of a way. Nice restaurants & coffee shops around. & perfect location for trip to Anchor Watt
Hotel is a bit dated compared to the pictures so don’t expect luxury. It’s nice & comfortable with friendly staff & lovely pool.
A comfortable and pleasant stay. The staff are wonderful people—helpful and genuine. They gave us a warm welcome and provided useful information and guidance on everything regarding the city. The room was beautiful, spacious, and clean. The dining area was clean, bright, and comfortable. The location is excellent—central yet quiet. The museum is right across the street, and there is a supermarket right next door.
Great location, excellent staff. A bit run down. We were expecting a buffe breakfast, however one day. Long wait due to no buffe. Spa was a disappointment, need to upgrade.
Location
Great staff very friendly
Huge pool clean and tidy
Fantastic location, right opposite the Angkor Museum which is well worth a visit. It is very easy to walk into town and very cheap ($2) to get a Tuktuk. Right next door is a very well stocked supermarket. Staff welcome was excellent, very professional and informative, plus a light welcome drink and cold towel.
Not quite as clean as would be expected for 5*, some of the facilities were a little tired eg tap in the bathroom was loose in its fitting, loo seat loose and in need of replacement.
Room was a good size and the staff were fantastic
More breakfast options would be good
I'd walked by the Sala many times aa I went to Angkor Market II, and decided to stay. I like it so much that I cancelled other reservations to stay here. The staff, are the best part; they make the hotel a wonderful place to stay. It's very clean, has a nice pool, and a great location. The rooms, bathroom, toiletries, are excellent, and the bed is very comfortable. I love the restaurant; they have the best Bruschetta I've had on three continents, and it's excellent value for your money. Thanks to all.

Casi perfecto
A comida do restaurante, fantástica. Tudo foi excelente na nossa estadia.
Nada a referir

Great location! very close to many things including directly across the road from national museum. Big room with good facilities. Would stay again
Great and super nice staff! <3
Everything great!
Wonderful stay! Lovely and beautifully decorated hotel at a cheap price. Spacious and quiet rooms, nice pool, delicious food in the restaurant and the service is simply 10/10. Perfect place to rest after touring the area.
Muy buen hotel, excelente ubicaciòn
No se me ocurre nada para destacar
I received a very warm welcome and had a wonderful stay at Sala Hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for its beautifully designed building and rooms. It sits in a great, quiet location where you can enjoy long walks along the river and cross many scenic bridges. There is also a fantastic supermarket right next door, fully stocked with international products. To top it off, this is the best reception team I have ever encountered; their thorough introduction during check-in is incredibly helpful for first-time visitors. Every service during my stay was highly reliable and quickly organized.
Comfortable rooms, we were kindly upgraded to a pool view Villa. Large and clean pool. Friendly staff. Good location. We extended our stay twice, as we enjoyed it so much and great value for this time of year.
The ala carte breakfast was small, but we just asked for some more fruit. The buffet breakfast (on the weekend) was great. We preferred the balcony room over the pool Villa as it was more private.

Great value perfect room Great staff
No complaints perfect
After changing to a better room with pool view, the new room was nice, spacious and much more comfortable. The staff was extremely nice and kind, both at the front desk and at the restaurant.
We first had a front facing room. The room and the bathroom were very dated, with old basic furniture. They offered to change to a renovated room, facing the pool.

The room was spacious, nice view of the Angkor museum, quiet atmosphere for good rest, staff was attentive and helpful, especially Kinyan. The amenities were always restocked and it was nice that they had info about all the main temples. The towels were always clean, complimentary laundry service was efficient and enough for daily use.
A little far from the main area by foot, but very accessible by tuk tuk, the food was nice a little too expensive for a simple meal in comparison to what’s around the area.
The beds are SO comfy, the shower is great pressure. The room is spacious, the staff are friendly. You get free 1kg laundry per day, pool is lovely.

The location - next to a great supermarket, walkable to Pubstreet, the room - spacious, and clean, the staffs - friendly and helpful!, the food (esp the local food) is absolutely delicious!

Stayed here for 3 nights back in July and would definitely recommend. The hotel is ideally located just a short tuk-tuk ride or pleasant walk from Pub Street, the Night Market. We found it very easy to get around and explore the city. The pool area was the perfect place to cool down after a long day visiting the temples around Angkor. Spending some time there in the late afternoon with a refreshing drink was a great way to relax. We dined twice at the hotel, for breakfast. Both meals were excellent and we really enjoyed the quality of the food and service. Nevertheless, the hotel in general was fantastic. I would recommend Sala Siem Reap Hotel to anyone looking for an affordable yet stylish place to stay in Siem Reap.
Lovely pool. Very helpful staff.
Perfect for our needs. The overall layout of the room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and had a good-sized shower with plenty of hot water. We had breakfast on one of the mornings. There was nothing wrong with it, but we felt the selection could have been a little larger, so we decided to have breakfast elsewhere on the second morning. We used the pool one evening after returning from sightseeing. It was really nice for an outdoor pool and a great place to relax. There were towels provided and the pool area was clean and well maintained. The location was perfect for us, close to restaurants, cafés and Pub Street, while still being quiet enough to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep. Angkor Wat and the other main attractions were also easy to reach by tuk-tuk.
Sala Siem Reap Hotel is located in a pleasant area of Siem Reap, close to both local neighbourhoods and popular attractions, making it very convenient for restaurants, cafés, local markets and Pub Street. The hotel itself is very clean with excellent service. I was pleasantly upgraded to a higher room category, which made my stay even more enjoyable and provided a peaceful place to relax after spending the day with the tour group I was leading.
We stayed at Sala Siem Reap Hotel from 8–10 July for 2 nights. It was a very nice stay. The staff were friendly, the hotel was lovely, and it was easy to get around the city. There were plenty of restaurants and places to meet friends nearby. We had a wonderful time visiting family and really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back again next time.
I really enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable and perfect for both my son and me. I was especially grateful that the staff accommodated my son's vegetarian breakfast every day. The meals were very well prepared, and he really enjoyed them. I loved the pool, and the breakfast offered a good variety and was always satisfying. The location was also excellent. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night, and it was delicious. My sincere thanks to Theara and David for making our stay so enjoyable. They always went out of their way to help my son and me, and their kindness and professionalism made a real difference. I would also like to thank the gentleman at the door, whose name I unfortunately didn't catch. He was always smiling, welcoming, and very friendly. Thank you all for making our stay so memorable. I hope to see you again in the future!
The only downside was that the gym lacked some equipment, such as a treadmill. However, I still really enjoyed my stay. Instead of using the gym, I went out for a nice power walk, which turned out to be a great alternative.
I recently spent another night at Sala Siem Reap Hotel, and I was pleased to notice several improvements compared to my previous stay. The reception team on arrival were efficient and friendly. They located my reservation immediately and completed the check-in process quickly and professionally. The atmosphere throughout the hotel was warm and welcoming. The staff were attentive, always greeted guests with a smile and made everyone feel genuinely looked after. Breakfast had also improved noticeably, which was great to see. The room I stayed in seemed to have been refreshed, or perhaps the housekeeping team has become even more attentive to detail. Everything was spotless, comfortable and very well presented. The check-out process was smooth and efficient, a noticeable improvement from my last visit. Thank you to Sala Siem Reap Hotel and the entire team for another well-managed and enjoyable stay. The management team also maintained a visible presence around the lobby and public areas, which gave the impression that they were actively involved in ensuring guests had a pleasant experience.
Staff are all exceptional, kind, attentive, and desiring to please.
Food is rather limited and portions are too small
Great hotel for a short busy stay in SiemReap. Within walking distance to shopping mall. Plenty of places to eat along the main road. Room was lovely and a very comfortable huge bed.
My wife and I stayed at here for 8 days in this hotel. The hotel is well located in central area of Bangkok. The rooms were huge and well furnished and presented. Bath and shower available in large bathroom with water always hot at any time. Air conditioning in bedroom was superb. We found the check in and out to be smooth and fast. Staff throughout were polite and friendly. We booked our trip through front desk which was superb value. Highly recommend this hotel.
After 2.5 years I came back and liked the place. Super lively location You feel it’s run with a good management. highly efficient staff. Rooms not so big but well equipped and functional Pool area nice and great restaurant and cafe. Overall a very good experience at realistic price
Fantastic hotel. Lovely pool, clean room and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and the style suited us perfectly, so we were very happy. The staff at the reception were always available to offer advice on local attractions, restaurants, tuk-tuks and getting around Siem Reap, which was a real bonus. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Loved this hotel,, pool area was great and room was brilliant.had a double room and family room Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. On the street outside, plenty of places to eat and drink and very safe for families. Check in was easy. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and would definitely stay again.
This is really nice hotel ! Very friendly staff ! I do recommend ! The breakfast is very nice ! The swimmingpool is perfect with a nice restaurant ! The hotel is located in a nice area.
Lovely hotel with very nice, spacious and airy rooms, with pleasant views over the city and surrounding area. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice to suit different tastes and nationalities. Lovely, attentive staff who were always friendly and welcoming. The hotel is well located with easy access to Temples and many of Siem Reap's attractions by tuk-tuk. The only thing to be careful of is the uneven pavements in some areas of the city, so it's worth watching your step while walking around!
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday visiting Siem Reap and other parts of Cambodia. As it was our first visit to Siem Reap, our group wasn't quite sure what to expect and had left the hotel arrangements in the capable hands of our tour operator. On arrival at Sala Siem Reap Hotel, we were very pleasantly surprised by the standard of the hotel, the warm welcome, the simple check-in process and the excellent location, with easy access to restaurants, cafés and many of the city's attractions. Of course, there is plenty of choice when deciding where to stay in Siem Reap, but knowing what is nearby and convenient for sightseeing is something that only experienced visitors or locals can really advise on. Sala Siem Reap Hotel is tucked away on a peaceful street, giving you a quieter environment while still being only a short tuk-tuk ride from Pub Street, the Night Market and Angkor Wat. We didn't have a guide with us throughout the trip, but the hotel staff were more than happy to help. They pointed out places of interest, recommended restaurants and explained the easiest ways to get around the city. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, which suited us perfectly. There are so many excellent restaurants around Siem Reap that there is little need for full board. Breakfast at the hotel offered a very good variety. It isn't a traditional English breakfast, but there were freshly cooked eggs, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, toast and a selection of local dishes to choose from. As for our room, it didn't try to be overly luxurious, but it was exactly what you would expect from a comfortable city hotel. It was spacious, had a large bathroom, a very comfortable bed and everything worked as it should. The online photos are an accurate reflection of what you get. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, and despite being close to the city, the room remained peaceful and quiet.
Really enjoyed my stay at Sala Siem Reap Hotel. The food was very good, the hospitality from the team was excellent, and the whole place had such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It was easy to unwind after a day exploring Angkor Wat and the city. The location is convenient, Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
The stay was very comfortable and it more than met our expectations. Whenever we weren't out exploring Angkor Wat or the local attractions, we spent quite a bit of time relaxing by the swimming pool. The hotel is well placed, There is also a wide selection of cafés, restaurants and local eateries nearby, giving plenty of choice throughout the stay.
Stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of our Cambodia trip and had a really enjoyable stay. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and the service was excellent. We had requested a room on one of the higher floors and were pleased with the quiet room and pleasant views. It was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices each morning, and the swimming pool was a great place to cool down after spending time visiting the temples. It became a little busier later in the afternoon, but there were always staff around keeping the area clean and well maintained. We ordered a light meal from the hotel during our stay, which was fine, although we found ourselves enjoying the many nearby restaurants for most of our dinners. The location is one of the hotel's biggest advantages. It's easy to reach anywhere in town eaither by walk or by tuk-tuk, and there are plenty of cafés, shops and local restaurants within walking distance. Really enjoyed my stay here and would happily choose Sala Siem Reap Hotel again.
We stayed at Sala Siem Reap Hotel for 3 nights before continuing our journey through Cambodia. The stay was very comfortable and suited our family perfectly. Whenever we weren't out exploring the temples or the city, we spent plenty of time by the swimming pool, which was ideal with three children who could only manage so much sightseeing in the warm weather. We enjoyed a couple of light meals and drinks around the pool, although we preferred to have most of our main meals at the nearby local restaurants. The food at the hotel was good, but it is worth noting that prices are a little higher than many of the dining options around Siem Reap. The hotel is well positioned, with easy access to Night Market and other popular attractions by tuk-tuk. making it a very practical base for a few days in town.
Room: We had booked a standard room but were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a higher-category room (Yay!!). The room was spacious, comfortable and nicely appointed. Complimentary bottled water and the reliable Wi-Fi throughout the hotel were particularly appreciated, and made planning our days around Siem Reap very easy. Hospitality: Very polite and courteous staff. Since we had an evening night bus to PP and had checked out in the morning, the hotel kindly stored our luggage for the day, which was a great help and allowed us to enjoy the city a little longer. Location: Conveniently located in Siem Reap, with easy access to Pub Street and many of the city's attractions. Tuk-tuks are readily available right outside the hotel and getting around is quick and inexpensive. If you prefer to walk, there are also plenty of restaurants, cafés and local shops within a short distance. There is also a Super Market nearby, making it easy to pick up any essentials during your stay.
An ideal spot for a stay in Siem Reap. I have visited Siem Reap on several occasions and selected this hotel because of its value and convenient setting. There isn't really one perfect location in the city, but if you want to be within easy reach of restaurants and local attractions, then this is a very good option. Yes, there are more luxurious places to stay, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel. I would place it somewhere between a comfortable 3.5 and 4-star property. The rooms are tidy, well-kept and equipped with all the essentials. Breakfast is excellent with a generous selection of dishes. Rooms on the upper floors also offer pleasant views. Just outside the hotel, you will find numerous restaurants, cafés and convenience stores. Tuk-tuks are always easy to find and make getting around Siem Reap simple and affordable. I never had the opportunity to try all of the hotel's dining options, and I didn't spend much time in the bar area either, as there was simply so much to explore around the city. If you are looking for five-star luxury, there are other choices. However, if your priorities are a well-located, clean, secure and enjoyable place to stay, then Sala Siem Reap Hotel is definitely worth considering.
The staff were all lovely and polite. We had excellent laundry facilities and pool temperature was good. The hotel was quiet. Plenty of Tuk Tuks to bring us to other parts of the city cheaply.
Breakfast items were limited but understandable as off season. The room was advertised as luxury but furniture was basic in the room and room was average size only.
Excellent location, service, value and food. Situated on a quiet little street, so away from the noise and bustle. Gave us a seamless early check in with no attitude. Awesome breakfast spread (would rate it probably as one of the best I have experienced). Walking distance to nearby restaurants and cafés, and it is easy to get around Siem Reap by tuk-tuk from the hotel. Room was extremely comfortable and quiet with good views. Clear number one choice whenever I go to Siem Reap again.
Location was perfect, close to Musiem, City Center, the Night Market and many of Siem Reap's attractions. Staff were friendly, check in and check out were seamless. Breakfast was very good. Lots of options. The pastries were flaky and fresh – well done! The room and the interior of the hotel are simple and traditional. But the rooms are large and clean. Good beds and great shower pressure. We got rooms with great views overlooking the city and pool area. Thank you! The pool area is great. There are lots of well-priced restaurants nearby for a good meal, so we decided to venture out. The Night Market and nearby cafés are great for shopping and lunch, with so many options and reasonably priced food. The best thing: We really appreciated the reliable Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Google Maps was well used and this made exploring Siem Reap very easy. Yes, if we return to Siem Reap we would stay at Sala Siem Reap Hotel again!
We stayed here for a couple of nights before continuing our trip around Cambodia and I must say this is a fantastic hotel. The welcome on arrival is very friendly. Check in is easy and your bags are taken to your room. The room we had was amazing. Full tea and coffee making facilities along with complimentary bottled water were very welcome after a long journey. The bathroom is nice with a good shower, and the television has plenty of channels for all languages. We didn't get chance to use all of the hotel facilities, but the pool looks very nice and relaxing. What I can recommend as a must for anyone who stays is spending some time by the pool area in the evening. The atmosphere of Siem Reap at night is beautiful and the hotel provides a peaceful place to unwind after a day of exploring.
My husband and I arrived in Siem Reap after a long bus ride from PP and were not looking forward to waiting several hours for check-in. When we went to the reception to ask when our room might be ready, the staff kindly allowed us to check in early. Such a relief and such a lovely gesture after a long journey with very little sleep. Our room was on one of the upper floors and had a lovely view overlooking the city and pool area, especially beautiful in the evening. The room was comfortable, immaculately clean and had a very nice bathroom. The pool was a great place to relax after a day exploring the temples of Angkor. I also liked that the hotel is located in a quieter area, yet still within easy reach of Super Market, restaurants and local attractions. We also booked tours during our stay and had no issues with pick-up arrangements from the hotel. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay at Sala Siem Reap Hotel and would definitely book to stay here again.

10/10Staff repeatedly described as very kind, attentive and helpful (upgrades, accommodating breakfast-to-go, efficient problem resolution and concierge-like assistance).
Location
9.5/10Generally regarded as a good, quiet location slightly away from the main area — convenient (near a large supermarket) and easily reached by tuk-tuk; some guests noted it’s a bit far to walk.
Room Quality
9/10Rooms often spacious and comfortable (upgrades to pool-view villas appreciated); however a number of guests mentioned some rooms/furniture are dated and less private than others.
Amenities
10/10Strong amenities: large, well-regarded pool, complimentary daily 1kg laundry, late check-out option and generally well-stocked room amenities noted.
Value for Money
10/10Multiple comments emphasize excellent value for money (some guests extended stays and described the experience as 'incredible value' and 'feels 5 star').
Food and Beverage
8.5/10Mixed feedback: hotel restaurant and weekend buffet (notably congee) praised, but à la carte breakfast portions sometimes small and a few guests found on-site meals relatively pricey or breakfast quality inconsistent.
Overall Experience
10/10Overall sentiment very positive — many guests called their stay great, quiet and restful with attentive staff and good facilities; minor issues did not outweigh the strong positives.
