Absolutely the best experience I’ve ever had! Everything about this place was incredible, from the atmosphere and service to the overall experience. I genuinely had such an amazing time and couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I also want to give a special shoutout to the valet team, especially Ryan. He was incredibly nice, respectful, attentive, and so easygoing. He went above and beyond and made the experience even better. The entire valet team was absolutely impeccable. I’ve honestly never experienced this level of hospitality before. 10/10 experience. I would definitely come back!
Renovated rooms are nice, great pool, bar and valet service! Valet Brian!
Bryan and Carlos was really attentive.
Great stay. Rented a cabana. Best service ever. Make sure you get Sheila!! She took care of everything poolside. I’m an ambassador level at Marriott for 10 years with over 2,000 night stays. Shiela is #1 and made the difference to my vacation
ELZIE IS THE BEST! Pool is fun, clean & well kept. Staff is friendly and attentive. Music was just the right volume - not too loud, not crazy vibes. Felt very chill. Just want you want on vacation. Drink service was fast - honestly, nothing to complain about!
Sheila was a super star, very caring and attentive. Super happy and kind person
The entire staff, from Jevon at the front desk to Sheila by the pool, was the best customer service and just so enjoyable to chat with!!! We have been at this hotel before, we came back because of atmosphere but now I will keep coming back due to the best, top rated staff in the business!
El sector de la piscina
Having a really good time here. The property is very well maintained the beach is perfect. Elzie and Sheila took great care of me at the pool! Ask Elzie to tell you some stories, the best! Love ya Elz 🫶
Excellent valet service! Carlos and Mathew were friendly, professional, and very quick. They took great care of my car and made everything easy and stress-free. Great customer service—highly recommend!
Everything was good at hotel. Very clean, staff was nice especially Ellie Robinson handled all our needs and was super friendly. We had a wonderful time.
The stay was awesome the room excellent super clean, the staff very professional and gentle, the children loved the pool, specially that he could stay as much as he liked and the beach service has so many options for entertainment it is also excellent!! Thank to Sofia and Issac and all the staff. Our family definitively will came back.
Team member Sheila was amazing, she took care of us the entire week, she is what made our family vacation so special 🙏
William in the restaurant was a superb waiter. He was efficient yet personable. He really made a difference in our in hotel dining experiences. Elsy (sorry spelling might be wrong!) at the cabanas and pool was a fabulous attendant. He was funny and focused on delivering stellar service.
Very clean hotel and super friendly. Plan for tipping whether food drinks valet car towel service at the pool. I will say Sheila is worth the tip. Breakfast cost for buffet is not a great deal, 20.00 week days , 40.00 weekend, consist of eggs, potatoes bacon( some days sausage) it comes with water juice and coffee and does not change. Over all pool is awesome and a private beach.
Carlos and Matt did a great job taking care of my car in valet.
Jeremy, Chris and Matheus are the best valets at the Marriott Pompano Helped me tremendously.
Had a great experience at the Hotel our Valet guy Christian was really friendly and helped my family with our bags.
The valet staff was outstanding! Everyone was friendly, professional, and had my car ready in no time. They made the whole experience easy and stress-free. Great service all around! Carlos and the staff was amazing.
I stayed here for two nights recently with my wife, and aside from the hotel being in a good location, I found that the valet service was outstanding. Specifically the assistant manager, Christian. He made sure our vehicle was ready whenever we needed it, and even helped us with our luggage when he didn't have to. His kindness and professionalism really impressed me, and I can see how it influences the rest of the valet team at this location. Best valet service I have ever experienced 👍🏻
I was visiting a friend from California and I use the valet service. Christian explains how the payment work and how to requested, he take care of my vehicle, It was quick and easy. 10/10
Excelente service of valet parking. Good guidance of the restaurants around the hotel area . Good customer service by Christian - Manager
Terrible service waited 15 minutes
Sheila was an amazing staff member, made us feel welcome, made us catered to. I was up around 5am every morning, soon after closer to 6am, enter Sheila, before it was even light out enough to see. Sheila was out there, prepping all the chairs and umbrellas, cleaning up, stocking the towels. Sheila was go, go, go from clock in to clock out. It was amazing to watch Sheila run around all day non stop trying to ensure cleanliness, comfort, for everyone. I personally thanked her for her service and acknowledged her for her dedication, you dont see that often in many hotels. That being said I believe Sheila deserves acknowledgement, not only from me and my family and all guests, but from management as well. Whether a increase in pay, merit bonuses, free meals, and or all of the above. Recognition builds morale, builds respect for management and the hotel brand. Sheila is an absolute asset to your hotel, and exemplifies and models the type of service that guests deserve. If Sheila is not managing the department she works for, she She should be, Sheila should be managing that team 100%. Please take these words to heart as these words came from mine and my family's. This is is from Wil C. RM# 704
From Isaac at check-in to Sheila poolside and everyone in between, the staff works to enhance everything that is beautiful and perfect about this hotel. It was just a quick getaway for us, but served as the best location to escape our busy schedules. And they serve Foxtail coffee, too! 🙌
Matthews was a very helpful valet. Facility is clean and views are nice. Restaurant food was very good as well. Rooms were quiet.
All of the staff were friendly and engaging. They went above and beyond to make our stay great. In particular Elize Robins went out of his way to make us feel like we were the most important people at that moment. The same could be said for Georgina our waitress at breakfast each morning. Looking forward to coming back again.
My overall experience was great, just a few side eyes but not many. When we 1st got here the the valet guys at the entrance weren't the friendliest, they weren't mean just not inviting. When you walk in the smell is amazing, so fresh and clean. Check-in was smooth, but the front desk staff could have been a bit more warm and welcoming." The staff at the Kester and Citrus bar were very nice and accommodating. The lady Shelia that works by the pool was so pleasant every time I seen her not only was she nice, welcoming and very helpful. She was able to let us know about different restaurants, transportation. The room was clean fresh, beautiful view, bed and pillows felt amazing. Best sleep ever, The pool was amazing, the beach was great even though it was sargassum season. Oh the room needs a full size mirror, not the one attached to the closet door you cant see. I will return and tell all my friends.
If I could give this location and all Marriott’s a ZERO rating I would do so in an instant. Horrible customer service. I only had one kind reservation representative during my almost three hour phone conversation. The first Marriott reservation representative was extremely unhelpful and very unapologetic. She had me call guest services at this location and when I tell you the employee there had HORRIBLE customer service skills believe it. Just to have them give me the number for the Marriott reservation department AGAIN. Please do yourself a favor and book a VRBO. This company does not up hold their promotion offers and will SCAM you. Dealing with these employees has been one of the most stressful, inhumane experiences I have ever had in an already stressful time.
Sheila is amazing! She is by the pool area very hospitable and friendly helped me get back in from the beach to the pool area. Thanks Sheila
We are a local couple just looking for a little staycation in the area and booked a weekend at Pompano Marriott Resort. The immediate area is quiet, good if you’re looking for a relaxing stay. The social hub is about a 20 min walk south to the pier where you’ll find restaurants and bars. Anyway, we are here just to disconnect and found a home poolside with relaxing vibes, poolside table service, and chill music. Came out about mid morning to hit the beachfront and encountered Sheila working poolside. Sweet, friendly, caring and conversational, she is a real gem out here. She got us sorted with towels, gave us the lowdown on the sunbrellas, cabanas, etc, and made sure our pup had booties for the hot sand and a cool cup of water to drink. When staying somewhere with such a high volume and turnaround of guests, it’s very nice to have someone that can connect and make a personable experience like that. Have one more day to spend here, but I have no doubt it will finish as a great trip. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
The whole experience was great! From Shiela’s towel service and Joes bar service all around 10 out of 10!
Great experience and well appointed hotel. The valet team was great too and were always courteous:)
Staff was a joy, food was delicious. Absolutely recommend.
The hotel is clean and newly renovated, and all of the staff are wonderful but Sheila by the pool in particular went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need to enjoy the beautiful beachfront location.
We stayed at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort for a 2-day 4th of July weekend and unfortunately left extremely disappointed. The only positive was the newly renovated Executive Oceanfront Suite we were eventually moved into. We originally booked an Executive Oceanfront Suite and were assigned Room 201. Although technically oceanfront, it was on the second floor with trees almost completely blocking the ocean view. This was not the experience we expected when paying for an oceanfront suite. I immediately spoke with the manager upon arrival and requested another room but was told nothing was available. After I submitted a complaint through Marriott Bonvoy, another manager stepped in and kindly moved us to a 4th-floor suite, which finally provided the oceanfront experience we had booked. That manager’s willingness to help was truly the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the problems continued. * In our original room, the electricity went out twice, requiring engineering to respond each time. * We were ultimately forced to move rooms, but there was no room immediately available, leaving us to pack all of our belongings in the dark. * Throughout the ordeal, there was very little empathy or concern from management. It felt like we were simply another problem to process rather than valued Marriott guests. The issues didn’t stop there. When retrieving our vehicle from valet, the attendants simply handed us the keys without mentioning that our tire was completely flat. We discovered it ourselves after loading our luggage. Even more frustrating, a maintenance employee later told us the vehicle had apparently been sitting there with the flat tire for quite some time. No one from valet informed us or offered any assistance. As a result: * We had to purchase a new tire for $200 during our holiday weekend. * No one from valet or management offered meaningful assistance. * Marriott would not even refund the valet parking charges. Other disappointments included: * Blankets requested for our room took over an hour to arrive. * The pool looked murky and cloudy throughout our stay (see attached photo), making it unappealing. * My daughter was given a beach gate access code by the concierge that did not work, forcing her to walk around through the dumpster area just to get back into the hotel. After all of these issues, management’s solution was a $100 resort credit, which did not begin to compensate for the inconvenience, frustration, extra expense, and disappointing holiday experience. We have always enjoyed staying at Marriott properties and expected much better service, especially over a holiday weekend. Problems can happen at any hotel. What matters is how they’re handled. Unfortunately, what stood out most was the lack of communication, accountability, and genuine concern for guests. The renovated suites are beautiful, and the manager who moved us to the 4th floor deserves recognition for trying to make things right. However, that was the only bright spot during what should have been a relaxing Fourth of July vacation. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property until guest service and problem resolution improve significantly.
Gute Lage
Fitness Studio war geschlossen; keine Alternative, Personal an der Rezeption nicht hilfreich. Falsche buchung vom Restaurant wurde nicht erstattet
Beautiful renovation they have done! The staff was all fantastic! Thank you Lynn, Thomas, cleaning staff and bar staff. We had a great time!
Valet at marriot Jay and Ryan, very friendly and hard working
Love the pool and Sheila the pool attendant was so nice and helpful with everything!!
Sheila was so nice and very helpful!!
Sheila is beautiful lady with lots os patience and great service she's absolutely stunning
Ellie Robinson was the best never had to wait for anything has best service
This is that Caribbean beach shack bar you wouldn’t guess you could find on Pompano Beach. Richardo the bar tender and impresario is the Best, and makes it a party! You will leave in a good mood and a smile on your face!
Nice view of the lighthouse and walking distance to the pier. Cute calm therapeutic tiki bar. Ricardo was amazing, good vibes and great drinks. Will be back!
Stayed for 2 nights for a relaxing family weekend. The Pompano Marriott delivered on all fronts - great service at the front desk, the restaurant/bar, beach and pool. We loved our room and amenities. A big shoutout to Elzie at the pool who ensured my 80+ year old father was well shaded and taken care of and to Shane at the bar for accommodating our various requests. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!
Always great and friendly service. Matt was awesome.
Service and drinks were excellent! Heard many good things about this place. Ricardo was really friendly, knows how to make good drinks, and provided great service! I would absolutely go again. Thank you Ricardo!
This hotel has struggled with service for a few years but this visit it was noticeably upgraded. From Matt at the valet greeting us with such a friendly demeanor and helping us hugely with all of our luggage to Ricardo at the front desk check-in going above and beyond. It was such an unexpected change- will definitely be coming back! Can’t be the location, and now the umbrellas are NOW included in your beach chairs (hooray)!
Excellent help ! Gor us where we were going! Paulo was a tremendous help with ordering our circuit ride!
The Pompano Beach Marriott location was excellent. Jay from valet was very helpful. with my bags and fast recovering my car it was such a great vibe the rooms are very nice. And it was very clean. We are definitely coming back.
The food, the location, the cleanliness, and the easy beach access.
The cost per night after paying a fortune in the beginning.
La atencion en la piscina es excelente! todos los chicos son super amables y atentos
Muy bien ubicado, agradable, limpio, amable
The hotel was beautiful, but a few of the staff members are what really made this trip such a great experience. Ashley and Matt at the front desk were so professional and accommodating. We had a little hiccup the first night we arrived and they more than made up for that. They really made us feel valued. At the pool, Elzie and Sheila always had a smile on their faces and were ready to help with whatever we needed. This was overall a great experience for our family!
Perfect place for me and my husband. We had a wonderful stay: the atmosphere was relaxing, the service was great, and everything made us feel very welcome. Of course, we will definitely come back! 😊
Carlos is the best very helpful checking in and out
Was in town for work and took an extra couple days off to enjoy the Florida weather. We loved this resort. People that work at desk and by pool were nice. Valet guys super nice and it never took more than a couple minutes to get my car. Domingo and Miguel were very friendly in particular!
On site valet parking is super easy and fast. Just request your car using a provided link and it’s out front when you get to the lobby. Great service friendly staff and the beach / pool is amazing. Carlos in valet is the man!
Matt was an exceptional valet driver. He was kind, welcoming & visibly was hustling to get our car each and every time we needed it. He was also very helpful when we were confused on the app & how it worked. Great experience overall!
I would like to just start off by saying, I am very disappointed in the service that I received from one of the bartenders that worked by the pool . Her name is Victoria , she was very rude to me and my family . My sisters and I came down for a birthday and when we went by the pool to get a drinks she had an attitude when we told her our drinks . She also didn’t know how to make a simple Paloma Correctly . Then we decided to go to the beach for a while and come back and grab some food and sit by the pool. By the time we can back for another drink it seemed as if she had a drink we could smell the alcohol on her breath. She was slurring her words as well . I am very disappointed as to how we were treated by this individual. I will never spend my money here ever again !! DO NOT GO HERE. Also when I asked to speak To a manager she told my sisters and I “ oh sorry they’re not in today” which also made me concerned because where’s the manager ?? I would never recommend this place very unprofessional and I witnessed the bartender hand the male server a drink for him drink as well while he was on the clock
We had a wonderful long weekend getaway at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa in early February, and it was exactly what we needed to escape the cold New Jersey winter! Our room was clean, spacious, and had a beautiful view overlooking both the pool and the beach — the perfect way to start and end each day. The property itself is fantastic. We took full advantage of the amenities, including the gym (which has a gorgeous ocean view), a relaxing yoga class, the pool, and of course the beach just steps away. We also enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, which made everything easy and convenient. We spent most of our time poolside, and that experience was truly elevated by Elzie Robinson. He went above and beyond — setting up towels and umbrellas, checking in throughout the day, lighting the firepit in the evening, and even bringing extra chairs so our family could sit together comfortably. He was friendly, funny, and made us feel completely taken care of. Special shoutout to a fellow New Jerseyan — he made our stay extra memorable! Overall, this resort is a perfect winter escape from NJ — warm sunshine, beautiful views, great amenities, and exceptional service. We would absolutely return.
We got a good room, ocean facing. Beach access was really good. The property is far from all the happening places. Something to keep in mind while booking. Good place if you are looking for a quieter place without much expectation on amenities.
- Water was not draining in the shower area as it was not leveled. We were given a mop and asked to mop everyday to avoid water retention - Breakfast was very average, similar to what we get in Fairfield Inn. - There were 2 small elevators in the North tower, where our room was. One elevator was broken/ out of service through out our stay. Ultimately we started taking the stairs to avoid long wait to go up or down. - The room was not cleaned one day when we specifically asked them to clean up - None of the issues were addressed during the checkout.
ElzieRobinson went above and beyond everyday we were at this resort property. He is extremely welcoming and goes out of his way to make sure everyone is accommodated. You will not find a better energy giver to each and every guest from the smallest children to the most elderly and in between. He has such an energy about him that’s contagious to everyone around the pool! He is a rare gem!!!
All staff were excellent. Particular stars were the pool attendants, Elzie and Sheila. Very friendly and helpful.
Our mother/daughter trip was fabulous. The service in the hotel was too notch. The valet guys and front desk people were great and very helpful. A special shoutout to Sheila, the pool attendant. She was friendly courteous and extremely helpful giving us some tips to make our trip even more enjoyable. Great place, we’ll be back!!
Domingo Valet was amazing! So helpful and quick service!
Our trip here was absolutely wonderful, Especially Sheila and Elzie, who took care of us around the pool. So friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms were immaculate, beach chairs and umbrellas always available. Would definitely recommend and come back for another visit
We just returned from our first stay at the Marriott Pompano Beach Resort. The resort seemed popular with returning & "long" duration guests. It is well located and has helpful and friendly staff, although they seemed to be understaffed in some areas. We stayed in the (presumably) older 9 story tower in which one of the two elevators was out of service. A longer term visitor mentioned that it had been out of service for at least a month. The out of service elevator seemed to be continuously sounding a high pitched alarm for about 24 hours during our stay one day. The "alarm" could be heard while waiting for the elevators, but not throughout the facility. I don't know what the alarm indicated, but there seemed to be no urgency to resolve it. The elevator seemed undersized for the workload of the tower. About 6 people or luggage pieces could fit into the elevator, so when people are checking in or out it was a challenge to "catch" an elevator ride when was space available in it. It was not uncommon to have to wait for the 2nd arrival of the elevator to be able to fit into it. Seems to me that a Marriott facility should be able to demand more timely maintenance on their equipment. Other than the elevator experience, our first impression of the place was that it a bit littered/cluttered in the pool & patio area with cups and straws scattered about. Hopefully visitors will pick-up after themselves to help the short-staffed crew keep standards up. Also, the food & drink options were a bit on the pricey side. Two after dinner cocktails with tip and tax cost $45, The beach and pool area were nice and the refinished rooms made the place seem a bit more modern, but I doubt that we'll return.
The Marriott was a dream! Friendly staff and service. Very clean and beautifully curated vibe. Sheila at the pool is the star of the show! She made sure we were taken care of in a happy and helpful manner. She saved us seats at the pool without us even asking! We will absolutely be back.
Our daytime experience at the outside beachside tiki bar was extremely disappointing due to the bartender, Jess. She spoke rudely to children, repeatedly saying “what do you want,” which is completely inappropriate, especially in a family setting during the day. She stated that she is dating a coworker and implied that because of that, rules do not apply to her. She openly complained about not receiving tips, even though gratuity was automatically added to the checks, and said she did not believe she should have to share them. She also said there is “no management” and that the general manager “knows nothing,” which raised serious concerns about oversight. Most concerning, she appeared to be drinking alcohol while working. Several drinks were served incorrectly, and some were missing alcohol altogether. On top of that, the music playing at the beachside tiki bar in the middle of the day was filled with profanity and explicit sexual references while children were present. The overall behavior, language, and atmosphere were completely unacceptable and need to be addressed by ownership.
We loved having the pool and ocean footsteps from our room. Sheila, a pool attendant outside, was super friendly and took great care of us!
Stayed 4 night I am a Platinum Elite member. Worst vacation ever, mostly due to horrible management. Check in took 25 minutes only two stations open with probably 25 people standing in front of desk. We are all now use to all of these fees, but $45 resort fee and $44 dollar parking plus tips add at least $100 a day. This is not a congested area parking fees are way to high and resort fee might be OK if they had their act together but they do not. Breakfast day 1 wait 15 minutes for a table to be told there is not a buffet (called ahead). Forced to order a particular meal to use my breakfast voucher instead "American Breakfast". Desk guy was rude about the fact that they did not have the promised buffet. Breakfast day 2, waited 30 minutes at table for server and coffee, then found out no "American Breakfast" as written on my voucher. They acted like it did not exist. Then only allowed the buffet I was originally told about. Sat at the table for 30 minutes could have just gone up. This is a Marriot Resort supposedly but the breakfast buffet was the same as at the Fairfield inn. Eggs and sausage were empty. Asked for more they came out in about 5 minutes. I thought wow at least they are fresh but they will ice cold actually. Not a RESORT experience at all. Nothing around this hotel so you have to drive to dinner for the most part. Asked front desk about restaurant, they suggested we go elsewhere. Bars- Over priced, small, lousy drink again nothing like the Marriott resorts I have been to. On our first evening around 5 we went to the pool bar and had the rudes bar tender. Price for a Rum and Diet was $18. Was given 10 drink tickets for Platinum, we could not use they on Rum and Diet only Gin and tonic only drink that counted. Marriott is now telling my friend what she must drink, LOL. Usually pool bar tenders are friendly and vibrant. She was awful, I just wanted to leave, but with my friends $18 basic cocktail already poured we stayed. I decided to just get a Pina Coloda mocktail with my drink ticket. It arrived in a baby cup all of about 3 ounces at best. I just had to laugh. Luxury resort, not a chance!!! I did order one with alcohol the next day. It was about 6 ounces and cost $24. Not worth it, frankly just a money grab on behalf of the hotel. Don't waste your time at the bar, bring your own for the room. The Room- mostly clean except the brown stripe on the front of the toilet below seat, clearly had that and spray on it and had not been cleaned. The rest of the room was clean but very sparse, I did like the beds. The balcony to our suite was about 230 feet I believe. We had two tiny short chairs and a small side table. You would expect if a resort had these big balconies it might have 2 comfortable chair to sit on. The view was beautiful. I spoke to managers several times on the trip, they were not helpful, not understanding, and did little to right so many wrongs. I asked for some compensation for I paid 63000 in points for just one of the nights. The manager gave me a credit for 8000, again that was just for one night. I honestly would have expected a phone call and an apology. I told him he should comp the one night he refused and gave me $44 one days worth of resort fee for the hotel that was clearly not a resort. Lastly on the bright side, Sheila at the pool works hard and hustles to get you chairs even though it is a way crowded, she does an amazing job and should be commended. Also the guys at the Beach were amazing as well. It is pretty crowded there too though. Do not expect to be more then 24 inches from the next chair on a week day. If you want to relax and enjoy ammenities frankly it is hard to do here in all of the CHAOS. Marriott needs to get some management in here that can run the place. It is a disaster.
Specifically for Sheila: she runs the towel stand and is the best. She always has the extra towels ready and nobody is better at umbrella raising.
This is my review directly to Marriott. I am a long-time (20 year) customer of Marriott that stayed at hotels every week for my job. Happy reading! I will begin this review as a customer who traveled to work on a plane for over 15 years. I have always stayed at Marriott as you can see my status. Obviously COVID changed everything, so I do not travel as much as I did pre-COVID. The Good: The rooms were exceptionally clean and well appointed, as the hotel was just renovated. However, you should read the reviews on how you treated guests during the construction period; thank god I did not get caught up in that. Everything felt new — from the furnishings and flooring to the bathroom fixtures and lighting. Overall, the entire hotel had a contemporary, updated feel. The lobby, hallways, and common areas were spotless and stylish, giving the impression that the property is either newly built or very well maintained. It seems like the every hotel is moving away from having a private bathroom which is disappointing and your rooms had a sliding door with no lock and large gaps on either side of the door (my wife complained about this one). I guess your bathrooms are the better designed ones than I have been reading about. The Bad: It is hard to determine which part was bad as I think I have to continue on with everything being ugly. The Ugly: Staffing. Where do I begin. We did stay during Presidents week, however I would assume the GM or the person in charge of staffing would know this and staff accordingly. The lack of service was atrocious. Every morning we wasted 30 mins or more waiting for food and/or trying to pay the bill. Service at the pool bar was non-existent. Check my bill. I honestly did not purchase more of the ridiculous overpriced drinks because I was simply unable to. The Tiki bar is a nice touch however same story there. And it was not just that these folks were overwhelmed, they truly seemed pissed off and gave me a bad attitude when I actually received service. Poolside service was also non-existent as well but again I think I saw one woman handling this so I really cannot blame her. I have to blame management. Now I am not sure if this problem is also related to the new generation of people who do not want to work. However, my trips last year to Bahamas I do not recall this as the service there was top notch. I guess coming off that trip I was spoiled. And by the way, food and drinks there were way more expensive and I still purchased them. Lastly, the front desk always seemed to be overwhelmed; during my stay I consistently saw long lines to check in. Luckily when I checked in this wasn’t a problem however this is a big turn off right off the bat as it happened to me occasionally during my 20 year travel run. I really felt bad for all those customers who got caught up in this disaster. Last but not least. Let me be very clear — the staff at the beach chair hut were the worst part of this entire stay. Their attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Basic customer service seemed like an afterthought. Every interaction felt like we were inconveniencing them simply by asking for assistance. It got to the point where I genuinely dreaded having to deal with them each day. That should never be the case at a hotel charging premium rates. Management needs to seriously address the lack of training, supervision, and accountability in this area. This issue alone warrants a direct conversation, because it significantly damaged what otherwise could have been a positive experience. So from all of this, I most likely will never be returning. My family comes down to Florida once or twice a year consistently. We have 3 or 4 go to Marriott’s and my wife decided to give your hotel a try. Wow, what a colossal mistake.
Ellie Robinson at the pool was such a joy to be around. Probably hardest working person at the resort, but he also enjoyed pleasing guests very much. Thanks Elzie
Shelia and Elsie were outstanding and very friendly. Great experience by the pool!
Do not stay at this property unless you want to support a group of heartless staff. My husband and I had a booking made here through a third party and had a medical emergency that prevented us from making our trip. Despite calling and essentially begging the folks here to offer us a partial refund or rebooking us at any other time, they denied our request and said the “management and director of room services” denied your request. I hope they run into similar emergencies and find the hospitality we received waiting for them. It really is unfortunate. We had saved up and were looking forward to this trip and were met with a lack of understanding and extreme inflexibility. The 3rd party we booked through clearly said they’d make an exception and provide a refund if the hotel management would accept. The reality is people have emergencies that come up - we are all prone to them. Saying “here is the policy” is not human, empathetic or helpful. It is also not “hospitable”. Nice to know you’re purely commercial and don’t actually genuinely care about your guests.
Really nice hotel in a quieter area of south florida. Great for couples or families or friends. Staff was great and Elzie Robinson was exceptional - making sure everyone was happy, had towels, kids remained safe, Pro-actively gave kids google and toys. He worked hard to meet everyone’s needs and always had a smile on his face. He is an asset to this hotel!
Don't bother- overpriced and poor service. Poor service all centered around nothing being done with requests (which all seem to funnel through the front desk team) (and requests made or questions asked when it wasn't long lines, the team would actually answer the phone and also not hang up on the call without speaking, etc.) Not sure if it was lack of training , attitude, overworked, something else, or a combination. But the experience after spending quite a bit for a room, was not good and didnt feel like a customer, let alone a platinum level member at all. One example, when headed out one day requested they ask housekeeping if possible to clean the room while out. Two hours later, room wasn't cleaned. Certainly wasn't the incredibly nice housekeeper's fault, as she never received the request. Nor did the follow up call to front desk for some fresh towels ever go beyond whoever amswered that call - nothing delivered. The two stand outs were the extremely nice and friendly housekeeping team, and the team working in the restaurant where the service was exceptional - ate there twice at different times of day and everyone couldn't have been more friendly. There are a lot of places to stay in the Fort Lauderdale area. Absolutely do not recommend this one, especially if you value some service. This was a lot of money and felt like the central team, around the front desk, etc, wished we weren't there.
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The people made it even better – especially Ashley at the front desk and Elzie and Sheila by the pool! They made my significant birthday celebration less painful!!!
It was where our friends were staying.
Expensive.
Domingo at the valet was so organized, very kind and so professional! We were always greeted with a smile and he was beyond accommodating! Even gave great recommendations within the area!
We had a couple of wonderful days at this Marriott. Especially Sheila at the pool she was so attentive. At breakfast it was Georgiana and I think on 2/7 it was Randy. What a nice hidden gem. Only downfall was there really wasn’t anywhere to walk. Next door at the Marriott Residence Inn their restaurant Zoe’s was excellent. Mauritzio was excellent. Will be back for sure.
A girls week away and we were simply amazed at the level of friendliness from each employee we encountered!! Miss Sheila the pool attendant was so sweet and thoughtful and Andre had a smile and amazing attitude!! Would give 10stars !!!
Great hotel great location before a flight. Big rooms, clean. No cash only credit. Big parking area and very nice staff.
Had a great experience. Elzie and the entire Paol staff was awesome. Tiki bar A+ great atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay. Management was also top notch
We stayed at the hotel this past weekend while taking our daughters to a hockey game, and we had a wonderful experience. The valet service was exceptional - very friendly and professional. Special thanks to Domingo and Francesco for their outstanding service and for making us feel so welcome. They truly made us feel at home!
Pool side, Elzie provided great service. The rest was sub par.
Very energetic staff with prompt service! All went above and beyond to take care of our hockey team.
The valet service was impeccable and made our stay seamless and comfortable. Carlos, Spencer, and Miguel were efficient and timely. They were amazing and made our experience that much more amazing. The payment method was simple and easy to use.
Great hotel and service, but the real 5 stars go to the valet team. They made everything simple with their system and brought my car quickly, even when they were extremely busy. Carlos made the whole process smooth and fast for us. Thanks Carlos !
Loved our corner room. Plenty of space in the room. Only draw back is the lack of clothes drawer space. Staff is very friendly and the fitness center is new with a ton of machines to workout on. The beach view is really nice too. The towel guy at the pool is awesome! Very friendly!! The pool is really big with plenty of sitting. It’s not quiet when kids are around but very nice to hangout. Parking is pricey…$44/day for valet or self parking.
The staff at the Marriott Pompano beach & Citrus Club were amazing! They remembered us each day and took such good care of us. Elize greeted us each morning by the pool and walked us out to the beach with towels. Ricardo at the beach bar was a joy to see each day and made amazing cocktails! Georgina was our waitress inside for lunch and was a gem. Hope to see them all again during my next visit!
Elsie Robinson was awesome providing outstanding poolside service! Great location, beach access and Pompano Beach pier, shopping and restaurants within walking distance.
