Very late check-in. Housekeeping need to improve and speed up.

The service, cleanliness and convenience to the main road. It's further out from the JB customs checkpoint but it's nearer to Toppen Shopping Centre and Aeon Tebrau. The Chinese Restaurant's (Wan Li) food was also great. Recommended to order their Codfish with dangui sauce. Dim sum was also good even though it wasn't the dim sum buffet.

Room lights could be slightly brighter at night as the drawing of the curtains reduces the light significantly.

We really enjoyed our stay at Renaissance Johor Bahru. The Pool Terrace Room was spacious, beautiful and very clean. The hotel was comfortable for our family, and we especially appreciated how warm and helpful the team was during our stay. A special thanks to Hamsley for going the extra mile to make our daughter’s birthday special by arranging a slice of cake at the Club Lounge and having the team sing Happy Birthday to her. It was such a lovely surprise and a memorable moment for our family=)

We were able to check in early, and the checkout time is set later than most of the hotels. It was clean all across the hotel facilities, and the staff were polite.

The food options were limited, (though, the taste of everything was decent).

Overall Feedback – Very Disappointing Experience I am very disappointed with my recent stay at Renaissance Johor Bahru Hotel, especially because this was supposed to be a special honeymoon stay. Unfortunately, the experience was far below what I expected from a 5-star hotel. 1. Room & Honeymoon Experience Before my stay, I specifically requested a nice room and was given a Bayview King Room. However, we were placed on the 19th floor, and the view was very disappointing. Instead of a beautiful bay view, we could mainly see unattractive buildings below. I also paid RM875 for a room upgrade, so I expected the upgraded room and experience to be worth the additional cost. To make things worse, the first room given to us was a connecting room, which was completely unsuitable for our honeymoon. I honestly found this very surprising. After paying for an upgraded room, I expected much better room allocation and attention to our request. There was also significant noise, including what sounded like motorcycle/exhaust noise, which disturbed our honeymoon experience. I was really not happy with this. I have stayed at Marriott/Renaissance properties before and had higher expectations. Unfortunately, this experience made me feel that the Johor Bahru property was far below the standard I expected. 2. Buffet Dinner – Incorrect Information From Staff The second issue happened during the buffet dinner. Before going to the buffet, I called your staff to ask whether there was lobster. The staff at the counter was not sure and checked regarding the noodles instead. Later, when I entered the buffet, I asked another staff member wearing a black uniform whether lobster was available. She confidently told me that there was lobster. I then waited around 10 minutes at the seafood section for the lobster. When a kitchen staff member wearing a white uniform came out to replenish the oysters, I asked him about the lobster.

The rooms are spacious & clean. Approacable and friendly staff. GOOD SERVICE.

Soundproofing of rooms is non existent. Can constantly hear housekeeping speaking to each other and even the vacuum can be heard clearly.

It was a little disappointing that a hotel of this chain and reputation does not have the room amenities like a smart TV to be able to connect up a laptop or phone and utilise our own Netflix or other streaming account. A request for a connection hdmi cable also came up to nought and we were told there was no possibility to do so.

Safety and cleanliness

Overall is good. My friend said the place is old. I prefer international hotel as I need a proper parking place. I love the hotel has a very polite attendant for helping. Feel safe when entering and leaving the car park.

The noise from the street or haighway.. Pillow too soft. The variety of Tea can have more. No creamer.and tea spoon. The smoke detector was blinking through out the night in the middle of the room.

So beautiful and reception staff was so nice! Asked for a bucket of ice and it came so fast!, toilet was clean, room was clean, view was exceptional. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, i put my head on the pillow and im gone for the night. Everything about the stay was amazing definitely recommend

no netflix, but at least theres was a tv ( which has a guide btw) i didnt know there was a guide i was randomly clickling jumbers u til i saw the guide sheet 🤭

Everything was excellent. Room: Super clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Breakfast: Superb with a great variety of delicious food. Service: Outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Overall: Everything was superb. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

It is located in a nice neighbourhood and pretty much can find anything you want in terms of food , massage, nails and hair.

There is only one charging port next to the bed so if you have a king bed only one of you is able to charge your phone next to you

For the price and star rating did not feel it was worth it. Booked for 3 pax but the amenities were only for 2 and that shows lack of attention to detail. The bathroom had foul sewage smell which we ignored. Requested early check-in but no reply until 5+pm on the day of check-in (after check-in :)). Requested late checkout but request not accommodated. Usually 1 or 2 hours is very easy for hotels to accommodate so it was a bit disappointing. And yeah overpriced bar. Beer at Singapore prices in JB.

Really nice hotel, with an elegant hotel lobby, comfortable rooms with great in-room amenities, great location and a fantastic breakfast buffet. However, the highlight is the staff. Every member of staff (from the doorman to front desk, housekeeping and restaurant/room service staff) was friendly, accommodating and professional and many went the extra mile (housekeeping is excellent). Thanks!

The swimming pool area could use a makeover as it feels a bit old. However it was still a clean, nice and good-sized pool.

Colazione senza bacon di maiale per le uova. In un HOTEL 5 STELLE tutti i clienti devono essere soddisfatti e non discriminati in base alla religione. Avevo scritto messaggio in camera e parlato con la reception perchè il lavandino del bagno era intasato e la cassaforte non funzionava, non hanno fatto nulla per una settimana.

We were excited on choosing our preferred pillows. We chose one Lavender and one buckwheat. We are very disappointed to receive 2 heavily stained overused flat pillow, of which the lavender smelled like heavily washed with washing powder and the buckwheat is just a yellow, stained, overused, horrible, flat normal pillow. Definitely not a buckwheat pillow at all.

The hotel is clean, room is comfortable & good breakfast selection.

Hotel service and ambients is good. Buffet for sahoor has lots of variety.

Toilet could not be locked and the blinds is controlled from outside.

I am going to book this hotel again! This should be the best hotel I have stayed in JB so far. Bed was comfortable. Clean and housekeeping was fast. Big TV, spacious room. Nice shower facilities. They have a pillow menu but they were all out of stock during my stay. They only had the feather and foam pillow which were literally non-existent (too flat). Nonetheless, the existing pillows provided were already not bad. Service was really good. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Location was superb too.

The breakfast buffet was disappointing. Soft-boiled eggs were already overcooked. I don't eat lamb and they have quite a few lamb dishes. Other food were also unappetising.

It will be good if the hotel keep track of returning guest. Perhaps perks for returning guest. and perhaps even like Gempita Ramadhan have special section for hotel guest. The Sahur is good Keep it up Good job to the Chef and their team. The staff is hardworking and very accormodating, helpful and professional.

· The celebrity section is quite dissapointing... the food serve by the CAFE BLD is 10X better. Especially the traditional Satay not the tasteless Satay lilit.. Loves the Cafe's Kerabu is awesome as compared to the one prepared by the celbrity
