Great location at a lively venue. Large room, and surprisingly quiet for a large pub on a main road.
Strange one, but cut my top on a sharp, protruding part of the door and ruined a new top!
Spacious room with comfortable bed. Good food (albeit very large portions). Friendly staff.
Corner shower rather small. Tired carpets throughout need replacing. Room overlooked kitchen extractor unit which was noisy. Net curtain in bedroom had about 10 holes/tears - needs replacing.
Great location, great staff
Room was comfortable but a little shabby round the edges though not significantly to a level that affected stay
The room was spacious and clean, and after emailing they let me add breakfast to my booking in advance of arriving as I'd only booked the room. Plenty on offer for breakfast.
Despite being clean, the room was looking a bit shabby and tired. Maybe because it's the end of the season. Black mould round the bath edge underneath the shower is a BIG no no for me, and the inside of the beautiful oak bathroom door was flecked with black mould spots. Overall, the main bedroom/living area is slightly below ground level and smelled damp (but no visible damp). But when I got home I had to put my nightie straight in the wash as it smelled damp. Such a shame
Spacious and clean room, stayed for a wedding at Newton Hall. Quiet and very comfortable bed!

Perfect location, lovely comfortable room, fabulous breakfast and the most welcoming staff.
Everything was great.
Lovely large clean room, friendly staff and good food
Ideally situated for Beadnall beach and bus stops outside with regular buses to Craster, seahouses and bambrough
Excellent food for dinner. However, continental breakfast should have had better cereals and fresh fruit
Bed was uncomfortable and pillows were lumpy
The Craster Arms was amazing, right from the start. Everything was fantastic . The staff were all so professional and caring, and who loved their jobs too.The whole place was wowwww. Room one where we stayed was fab, the most comfortable bed ever. Thank you to the lovely Polish lady, Edita(not sure of spelling)what an amazing lady, was so bubbly and lovely. Michael the chef, the food was beautiful, and everything was laid out so nicely, lovely fresh produce 😋 bar staff 10/10, waitresses and housekeeping. Thank you all again, for such a pleasant and welcoming stay 5*
There was nothing that we did not like, everything was amazing.Thank you.
Beautiful village pub in the best location. Rooms were lovely and clean. Food and service was second to none. Stayed for 2 nights and the weather was a little chilly in the evening so they were very accommodating with a pod. Booked again for next year.
Nothing
Staff were very good
Room needs some TLC
We had a suite, not just a room and a lovely bathroom. It was very quiet too. Very pretty pub gardens. Excellent breakfast.
It was a warm few fasts one air conditioning would be useful.
Really close to Beadnell Bay . Staff really friendly and helpful. A lovely relaxing beer garden . The food was delicious and the room was clean and comfortable. Very popular , so reserve a table for food.
Location. Room size. Breakfast was gorgeous. Fab staff in the morning, chatty, friendly and kind. She was really good.
Shower was tiny and electric - so no power. Was ok for 1 night but wouldn’t have been able to wash my hair as low flow. Also good job my husband and I aren’t big as I’m not sure it would accommodate anyone larger.
Location was great. Lovey little village, great spacious beer garden for sports
There was nothing we didn’t like
Staff made our stay very special for a birthday celebration, good facilities, nice clean room, loved the location & the village and the outdoor area in the attached restaurant is a great place to enjoy a drink.
Due to age/style of the building if you are in the bottom floor room you will be able to hear everything in the room above so this can get quite loud at times.
Large dog friendly room to easily accommodate our German shepherd. Easy separate access without having to go through pub. Loved the fact there is only 3 bedrooms .Very friendly chatty staff, excellent food and huge portions. Lovely cosy feel to pub/restaurant. Excellent large beer garden with in shed options, live music on the Saturday evening. Brilliant value for money especially taking the breakfast included option and breakfast was great too, especially the Craster kippers.Altogether a fabulous experience which we will recommend and definitely be back next summer . Oh and close to the beach too
Our room no 3 was quite noisy when we went to bed about 11pm , sounded like a generator or maybe it was the kitchen freezer or air con unit if that was close to our room, not sure. Didn't bother us too much as the sea air had us zonked out .
Nice big room very comfortable
Bit pricey for 1 monday night stay
Couldn't fault anything. Room was large ith plenty of room for clothes. Breakfast was fantastic and the portions on the full breakfast were amazing and kept us going all day. All staff were friendly and welcoming especially kika and edyta. Sadly we didn't get to try the meals on an evening as we were still too full from breakfast 😁 would highly recommend we were in room 3
Couldn't find fault. We stayed for 5 nights
There is nothing to dislike
Amazing weekend, Room no 1 with the Dog , special weekend, not that we announced . Clean , tidy , staff that cleaned 100% . We never ask for anything except tea bags and milk as we had Do not Disturb on our door . First class. Food was amazing! If you like sea food, The seafood tagliatelle was full of all .
Nothing
The room was large and the staff were friendly.
There was a noise from the bathroom that sounded like running water all night. We reported it so I hope it’s fixed!
Nice place and atmosphere
The Craster Arms has excellent facilities including a great car park, fantastic beer garden with entertainment on Saturdays. There was a fantastic menu choice with very good meal portions in a nicely decorated restaurant. The bedroom was large with a sitting and TV area.
The bedroom was rather tired and the flooring could be replaced. It did not look like the website photos.
Location
Fantastic restaurant staff. Good food. Good sized room. Great location.
Having to pay extra for breakfast, would of been nice to have that included for price paid.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Nothing
Great place to stay attached to a lovely pub/restaurant. Probably the best night's sleep I have ever had in a hotel and I stay away a lot ! Perfectly quiet at night and the bed was so comfortable.
Good location in Beadnell, near seafront and pleasant walk to Harbour. Good restaurant at The Courtyard Plenty of parking. Comfortable bed.
A fridge would have been a welcome addition. Large bath with shower over - a little difficult to get in ! a/c or at least a fan would be welcome on hot sunny days.
Excellent service, friendly staff. The rooms are fantastic.
I’ve nothing negative to say about my stay
Location Size of room - clean and comfortable with everything you need for an overnight stay Helpful and friendly staff
No cooling/fan in the room, the room was as road level and windows difficult to open then noise when praise leaving the pub - however this was for a short period of time and didn’t spoil our stay
The room was exceptionally clean with all that you could need. The staff were extremely helpful, kind and caring and nothing was too much for them. The staff were friendly, polite, attentive and lovely throughout my stay.
Nothing - it was great.
Very welcoming, helpful staff. We only stayed one night pre wedding at a nearby venue, but could quite happily of stayed longer. Our room was lovely and spacious. We were bed and breakfast and this was very good, even with a choice of coffee.
Nothing
Lovely place to stay, very pleasant surroundings and some nice walks. Hotel was pet friendly everywhere not just in designated areas and a fabulous beer garden. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Excellent menu and the food was delicious. Will definitely return.
Everything, first time their definitely coming back.
Nothing.
Very friendly pub. Dog friendly too. Food excellent and plentiful. X
Liked it all. X
Very good location. Breakfast was fine👍

Convenience and quietness of location , apart from noisy room above with uncontrolled teenage children running and thudding on ceiling as a result !
As above.
Staff were very friendly and warmly welcoming, particularly at breakfast. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Food in the evenings was hearty pub grub, sizeable portions too and good value for money. Room was very spacious and super clean. Location was perfect, five mins walk to the beach and only 2 mile stroll to Seahouses or 5 miles to Bamburgh. Car park at the back is huge bonus, as you can leave the car and walk or get the coastal bus service from right outside the pub.
Would suggest the rooms are ready for a fresh coat of paint. Not a complaint, it would just brighten them up a little.
Great location, staff were lovely and pub is lovely with great food options, breakfast which was included was huge but amazing!
We were in room 1 which was ground floor and windows led onto the main road and where people walked past, meaning that this could become noisy, sound proof windows would make this stay a 10 out of 10.
Lovely place, staff are so lovely and friendly - went above and beyond. The room was nice and spacious, breakfast was good too - only stayed for one night but will definitely be back.
Nothing
The village is wonderful. Lovely staff.
Large room Food was amazing Pet friendly everywhere
Car park can get very busy so park early
Large and comfortable room with a sofa to chill out on. Tea-making facilities and a good shower. The pub is lovely and cosy. The breakfast was excellent and the Craster kippers the best I’ve ever had.
Nothing.
Staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room was smashing with a fabulous sitting area and the bath was amazing!
Great Parking Lovely outside are Great food Nice environment Comfortable bed
Room one felt a little dampish But it is half below ground and it is early in the season. A little warm weather will be an improvement
It’s a lovely comfortable clean Inn with exceptional food and the staff are friendly an welcoming
Nothing whatsoever
The location was excellent, the rooms very spacious and comfortable. The beer garden with the summer houses is stunning. Meal was delicious. The breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long time, all the ingredients were top notch. We’ll be back for sure.
It was it was a little tricky getting in the shower, as the it is over the bath and the bath is quite high. The TV was poor signal, only BBC channels. And rooms could just do with a little tidy up with a coat of paint.
Brilliant location and busy lively feel with lovely staff
Was in family room . There was small TV on wall in lounge to watch from bed . Too far away. There was no decor in room, no pics, no atmosphere. Sash window was filthy on top when we tried to open it. Sofa beds just awful, very uncomfortable.
Great staff! Beautiful location. Also, the garden area with the live band was a bonus
The room could do with an update as it's slightly tired. Also, there was a damp smell
Location was good and it was separate from pub. Beer garden and parking were good.
Felt in the way if we weren't eating. Food and breakfast was expensive. The public area stunk of dogs which we had to endure watching TV.
Did not have breakfast Lovely spacious quiet room Great location and friendly staff
Nothing all perfect
Lovely spacious bedroom. Very comfy bed. Staff were all excellent; friendly, helpful and professional. Great food and atmosphere in the pub
Superb service. Food was excellent.
Would have been nice to have a dog bed, bowls etc on arrival. Our room needed a lick of paint. Appeared to be roof leak stains.
Friendly service, excellent food and comfortable room
Very crowded on bank holiday weekend
Perfect location. Accommodation was comfortable, spacious , and clean. Warm and friendly atmosphere.
We were happy with everything
Breakfast was excellent. Hot and very tasty. All staff were very friendly, nothing was a bother to them. We will certainly be back.
Nothing
It had a large outdoor beer garden with plenty of tables and areas to sit. Staff helpful and friendly. Loads of parking at the back of the pub. We had our evening meal one night there the food was good with very large potions. Our stay also included breakfast, not much juice for continental but alot of choices for a cooked breakfast. Good location to walk or drive to local places like Bambrough, Seahouse and Alnwick. There's not a lot in the village its self but manged to eat in a different place every night over our 3 days. Enjoyed the pub quiz on Wednesday night.3
My husband would have liked a caffertaire in the morning for breakfast rather than from a machine, but hes a coffee coniser.
Big room, big comfortable bed, dressing gowns provided, friendly staff
It has everything, great staff, great food, fantastic beer garden, great music on Saturday night, ideal location and great accommodation. Just love it!
Loved it all
Location, friendly staff, clean room Good breakfast, great food. Fantastic pub and amazing beer garden
The shower in the room was underpowered (usual electric shower downside) but didn’t spoil the stay
Great location. Ok facilities, nice atmosphere and great beer garden when the sun is shining!
Check in was confusing as we didn't know we had to go to the bar to check in after no one answered the bell to the rooms entrance. Barman told us we didn't need to reserve for breakfast, the next morning the lady looking after breakfast looked flustered after she said no one told her we were coming and then she had to prep the table. Rooms could certainly do with a lick of paint and bathroom could do with some new mastic.
Amazing
All amazing! Nothing not to love!
Friendly staff, great location, lovely food
Parts of the room were a little tired and some of the bedding was unclean
Facilities were fantastic friendly staff the food was outstanding bedroom was so cosy ❤️
Nothing
Breakfast was huge and very well cooked. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room spacious and spotless . Helpful information and comfortable armchairs.
There was a misunderstandingregarding the bed options for the room( sofa bed more of an extendable armchair. But it was comfortable and the staff did their best to accommodate our requests.
It was near to wedding we were going to
Shower wasn’t very good, carpet was dirty
Perfect location and lovely warm welcoming atmosphere. Clean , spacious , and comfortable rooms and beds. A perfect place to bring young children and large groups. Great food at a reasonable price. Lovely breakfast and staff really went the extra mile , especially with the children.
There was nothing not to like
The hotel is in a convenient location, attached to a large pub who also do food and have a good pub garden. The room was large, with a decent sized bed, tea making facilities and a warm shower. It's overall a little tired, but a perfectly comfortable stay for a couple of nights.
The room smelt a little musty on arrival, so we opened the window. However, the room was situated right above the extractor for the kitchen, which runs from around 0800 until around 2100. This meant it was very loud with the window open and you could smell cooking smells. There were also no sockets near to the mirror, meaning I struggled to dry my hair.
Easy check in! We were visiting for a wedding and needed someone to get dressed after a 2 hour drive. Our room wasn’t quite ready when we arrived but another was provided while we got dressed and once our room was ready, our bags were transferred over. The wedding venue was a 10 min drive but we struggled getting a taxi so the lovely lady cleaning dropped us off, which we really appreciated!
The rooms are super basic and the tv in our room wasn’t working so I’m not sure it was worth £120! We didn’t opt for breakfast as this was going to be another £15pp and the facilities definitely weren’t that of a £150 stay. If you like plump pillows…take your own as the ones there are super thin.
Lovely staff very attentive
