Birds of a Feather Victoria Oceanfront Studio Suites

The location of this home is right on the bay of a bird sanctuary. With the deck, the flowers, the beach, and the dock, it is truly spectactular!

The ladder climbing up to the beds in the loft was very steep and one had to be VERY careful.

The canoes and bikes that you can freely take out to the surrounding area which is simply stunning. Drinks on the yellow chairs was so enjoyable. The hot muffins on our second morning was a lovely surprise.

Two teenagers in a loft space with no privacy and a very noisy ladder for them to go up and down on all night wasn’t the most relaxing experience - however we made the most of our time here we just would book a different room if we ever stay again.

Well maintained and you can tell the owners put a lot of work into every day to keep it nice, we always saw them out working. The hot, fresh, homemade muffins delivered to our door every morning were so good!

Double room and bathroom was smaller than anticipated. You had to pay extra to use the hot tub.

The grounds and the view across Esquimalt lagoon were stunningly peaceful. The staff were extremely accomodating and the homemade muffin in the morning was a lovely surprise. If I had been staying in one of the upstairs suites this would probably have been a 5* review. Room #4 on the ground floor was clean and adequate for a night's stay but for longer periods I would have begun to investigate whether it was actually part of a converted integral garage.

It was very quiet..cozy..perfect for one person..the morning fresh baked muffin was terrific. The hostess was friendly and I felt very safe.. the bedding was fabulous..loved the sheets..

The step up into the bathrm..and some trouble closing blinds..but really loved it and hope to return..

The location for me is perfect ! I have family in the Belmont park area and it is literally so close. The beautiful lagoon is amazing and I enjoyed walking there almost every day This is my second stay here and I will be back

Beautiful place, the dock and bay view was brilliant. The room was just right. And the hosts were exceptional. They took initiative in reaching out and checking in that everything's good. They even made a cupcake for breakfast that was such a sweet surprise!

The toilet and bathroom floors were a little grungy.

This is a very nice location on the seafront. Beautiful view and right next to a large park including Hatley Castle. Really nice shower.

The staff were polite and professional. The room I stayed in was neat and tidy, and included a mini fridge with a complimentary water bottle, and a chocolate on the bedside table (very nice touches)!

Travellers who transit to and from the accommodation should be aware that there is quite a bit of a walk from and to the bus stop.

We stayed 1 night in the Luxury Ocean Lagoon Condo Suite. We wish we had stayed longer. Great place. Hosts are considerate, generous, and interesting! Hosts served an excellent breakfast and gave us valuable advice about our trip. Highly recommend.

We had a beautiful view of the sunrise. The suite is cozy, with a fireplace, light wood floors, a great tub, and a comfy couch. The owners were friendly and kind. Check-in was easy. It was quiet and private

When I looked at the pictures of the rooms and property I was impressed. But the actual room was nearly claustrophobic. I mean a double bed in a room. This room was not in the pics. I would have stayed there anyway, but I think they need to be more upfront about what they actually delivered. The people where nice, the property nice, but the room was way small.

Everything was meticulous. The quality of all the amenities was extremely high, from the blinds to the driveway to the stove top and toilet. Delicious muffins were delivered every morning followed by a text of “is there anything we can do to make your trip better today”. The owners are literally incredible. The B and B has a scenic setting with trails, bikes, paddle boards, canoes and kayaks. This was a real home run pick on our trip. Thank you Dieter and Paphada, you two are truly fantastic at hospitality.

It’s not a great idea to swim in the water on the property.

The economy room was small and not cute, like a sad basement suite. Fine to spend a night if you don’t care about aesthetics but certainly not a place I would have a romantic evening. I had ant visitors and had to get up to swat a mosquito buzzing around my face. I could hear the people upstairs walking. Not worth the money for me — should’ve stayed closer to restaurants, etc. I imagine the other rooms are much nicer? The property itself is very pretty.

My rate was not supposed to include breakfast. However the host provided me with a large freshly baked muffin in the morning which was so delicious with the coffee. I stayed in the one person cozy room but all of the necessary amenities were provided.

Fantastic oceanfront location and views . It was very close to our mother and niece.

The rooms are comfortable and cosy. The property has easy access to the Esquimalt Lagoon for birdwatching or walks by the ocean. It's an easy drive to shopping and services, and not very far (20-30 minutes) to downtown Victoria. The hosts are kind, responsive and well-organized. The kitchenette suites are perfect for self catering.

Right on the lagoon - incredible location, fresh baked muffins in the morning was excellent, bikes available, canoes maybe available if so it would be great to paddle in the lagoon, you can walk on the beach front

If you have to leave in the morning and take the Highway 1 to Victoria , Ferries and airport - you need to leave early around 7am as the highway traffic is very heavy

Beautiful location directly at the lake, very cosy room and very well equipped. The fireplace made it extra comfortable during the winter visit. The hosts baked some muffins for me even though I just stayed one night, didn't expect that.

Had the budget suite. Window looks into the carport, and blinds that were awkward to close. So had to shut the bathroom door (closet style) for privacy and it wouldn't open afterwards. Had a moment of panic to open it. After had time to figure out the blinds. It's tiny room with like 3 channels on TV. There's no walk along the water at this location, nothing to do.

What an incredible stay! The communication with the host was excellent from start to finish. They were responsive, helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed. The BNB itself is a true hidden gem - a peaceful, quiet retreat with the most breathtaking waterfront views. Waking up in the morning to that scenery was absolutely magical. The location is perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle and reconnect with nature. One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the kayaking. The host provides kayaks for guests to use, and exploring the shoreline from the water was so much fun! It's a great way to take in the beauty of the area from a different perspective. Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a solo retreat, or an adventure with friends, this BNB ticks all the boxes. The tranquil setting, amazing views, and kayaking opportunities make for an unforgettable experience. We'll definitely be back!

Gorgeous surroundings.

This property is in Colwood. It is a beautiful, quiet & safe area. Easy parking - host left message saying you are welcome to use bikes/paddle boards/kayaks available on site if you wish. You need a car to access down town Victoria from here. Our room - Room 4 - is probably the smallest in the property- was fine for an overnight stay. We woke up to freshly made muffins on the Sunday morning (a gift) which was a lovely surprise.

We spent a wonderful six days at Birds of a Feather with out two teenage grandchildren.We all loved it. We did early morning and sunset walks on the near by beach. I'm avavid sea kayaker and enjoy staying here right on the water with an outside shower for me to rinse my gear after paddling. The breakfasts were superb!! Dieter and Paphada were exceptional host.

We absolutely loved our stay here!! The suite we stayed in had incredible views of the bay and a private deck area to take it all in. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating, and we greatly appreciated being able to use their kayaks for an early morning paddle. To top it off we saw multiple bald eagles and herons to our delight. The suite itself seemed brand new or recently updated, and our kids loved sleeping up in the loft. We can’t recommend this place enough! One last thoughtful touch… the owners baked fresh muffins and delivered them to our suite the morning we departed! :)

room has 1 double bed and 2 single beds, has a table for 4 people, but there is only on chair in the room. had to go to the host for a second chair. so ,a couple with 2 kids will have some seating problems..

We would highly recommend this B&B. Rooms are clean, the owners are gracious & kind and the setting is spectacular. Kayaking on the lagoon is a great perk & there is a hot tub for a little extra fee. Bicycles are also available for touring this beautiful area.

Amazing one night stay at birds of a feather. The location was great - right near the ocean and on the lagoon. We loved sitting on the dock in the morning with a coffee. We were brought freshly baked muffins which added to the whole experience! Would have loved to have more time here.

Very quiet location yet easily accessible for Victoria or Sooke highway. Loved the situation on the shore of the lagoon and being able to borrow the kayaks to use on the lagoon. Superb home made muffins each morning.......yum!

The stay at birds of a feather is quiet and convenient. The owners had dropped us a guideline in advance and checkin was quick and hassle free. Plus, they had offered us freshly backed muffins complimentary. Last but not the least the property is located in a beautiful area, with a personal patio and dock, which has a kayak, a boat, a peddle board, and bicycles added as amenities! Sitting on the patio sofas and sipping wine and cheese would be ideal, if time allows.

Spectacular B&B. What more can one ask for while in Victoria. Our family enjoyed the ease of check in, the graciousness of the owners and the comfort of the room and our beds. The location to the local castle, dinning and downtown was perfect. At first I thought it might be too out of the way, but I was certainly mistaken and thankful I chose Birds of A Feather for our two day stay in Victoria. By far, this B&B was one of two of the best stays on our Canadian Rockies adventure. My family and I would certainly advise you to stay here for your next vacay.

Love the lagoon and birds. Just spent two hours in the company of geese, a heron. an eagle.. random fish, seagulls and yes.. one duck.

I had reserved the Economy Room, 1 Double Bed, Private Bathroom. The room was small but it was clean and cozy. The view and the location of the house was excellent. There were also free bikes and kayaks to use.

How quaint and quiet this turned out to be. Absolutely adorable it was for a night stay. I would have stayed longer. We stayed in the smaller room downstairs which was just enough for us. We are simple people. This was simple, quiet and clean. We kayaked in the morning and sat on the beautiful large patio with our coffees. It felt like no one else was around. And the morning muffins? Delicious! We met the owner and she was kind and sweet. Thank you for this stay! I have already recommended to people who I think would like this style.

Lovely location on the ocean.

Was good to charge when we arrived to make running around for business easy and convenient. Also topped up the night before heading north for more business travel. Great location to relax and get away, internet was a little slow for work.
