Holiday Inn Express & Suites Victoria-Colwood by IHG

Nice hotel on the outskirts of Victoria - it was in a good location for us because we drove, but it would not be suitable for someone looking to stay in the city centre and explore it on foot. The beds were comfortable and the shower was also of decent quality. Really good breakfast (and endless coffee!) included in the price of the room. We can't really comment on much else because we just spent one night here before moving on to Tofino, but it was a good stay.

The elevator is very slow, so it is better to take the stairs if you are in a rush. There was broken glass in the parking lot when we arrived, but it was removed fairly quickly after we alerted the front desk about it.

Location for breakfast was a little hard to find, but it was great when I got there. We were able to park close to our room and everything was convenient. The hotel is a little hard to find in general, but that may have been long-drive itis! Staff seemed surprised that we wanted to stay-a little disorganized. But room was great, breakfast was great.

Ontbijt is gemaakt volgens Amerikaanse standaard. Als je in Europa een 4 sterren hotel hebt bevat het ontbijt meer soorten brood en broodbeleg. Dit was grotendeels vette hap…. En de keuze was zeer beperkt.

Breakfast options could have been better, the dining space was small compared to the number of guests dining in that area. Could include cut fruits and sausage in the breakfast option. Overall it was a decent breakfast.

The bathroom floor was not clean, had a lot of hair on the floor, it felt like it needs a vacuum definitely. The furnitures had dust accumulated on the surface. The room size was good, For some reason the duvet on the beds did not have covers, probably that's the style followed here.

Breakfast was good and the view was awesome. Staff was friendly.

I asked a cake to be arranged as it was my wife's birthday. I was promised that they CAN arrange this for me at no extra cost. When I arrived there, staff said they can not arrange this for us as it was a limited service hotel. That's not good at all. I'd you make a promise keep it.

Housekeeping showed up at 10 AM when I answered the door. I told him just give me five minutes to put my computer and my paperwork away and I’d get out of the room. He rolled his eyes at me. When I came back to the room, all he did was pull the comforter up the bed was very sloppy. I left garbage at the front door in a bag that I prepared so he didn’t have to empty any of the garbage bins but didn’t take it and it was garbage. Unfortunately, after I left the hotel, I realized I left a garment in the wardrobe. When I checked in with the hotel about leaving it behind, they told me nothing had been turned in, but probably what happened was didn’t even look in the wardrobe to see if anything was in there. I understand it was my fault for leaving it behind but now it seems like I’m not gonna get my sweater back because of neglect on the housekeeping’s part.

Ontbijt is zoals bij de meeste Holiday Inn hotels beperkt qua keuze. Elke ochtend was van alles op en moesten we wachten op aanvulling.

Place was clean and quiet. Breakfast was okay, Bananas are constantly empty and no one wants the apples, so maybe increase the bananas, they won‘t break the bank. I liked that EV charging was included, only problem was that other people with gas cars park there and prevent from using the charger.

Nothing major. Price was a bit high imo for what you are getting in terms of just a bed and some continental breakfast. But July is just that month I guess.

It is located 3 kilometres from Langford. So if you are going to Sooke or Duncan, it is convenient to stay for a night. Room is clean. Underground parking is large.

Breakfast is very simple and closed sharply at 9:30 by a sliding door without any notice by the restaurant staff. So I almost did not pick up required foods.

Upon arrival reception had us booked for 1 room not 2. We had booked through booking.com , which caused confusion. We were given 2 rooms, while they sorted it out. In the end it was corrected, we paid for 2 rooms.

The key card was not working at that time so it's a little bit inconvenient for the guest to always notify staff so we could use the elevator and access our room and I notice the morning staff in the breakfast area is a little bit rude and unhappy did not smile or say anything and 1 staff almost run me over with the cart that she is pushing did not even stop or anything

Para mis hijos las camas estaban un poco aguadas o deformes por los que se quejaron de dolor de espalda, para mi el sofá estuvo mucho mejor que la última vez que llegue.

La limpieza es increíble! Por fin encontramos en Canadá una piscina que no está llena de cloro pero se mantiene limpia, fue muy agradable estar allí! Nos encantó todo.

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was great.

Hotel was evacuated due to fire alarm. Staff didn't communicate well and no apology for inconvenience or compensation.

I just thought the cleaning staff was a little lacking. Didn’t clean the room the first day even thought we were out of there by 10am. Second day they left their dirty cleaning gloves in our room. 3rd day they still didn’t take their gloves and didn’t make our kids bed like new.

Hi I appreciate the staff at the property as they are warm and welcoming. The escalator needs to be updated as it’s slow and jerky. The gym is tiniest ever😅 Overall a great stay

This is an awesome hotel for business and personal travel. Clean, great service and a great location within walking distance to restaurants. Spacious rooms, decent express breakfast and lots of complementary parking. This will be my go-to hotel in Langford.

The eggs were dry and oatmeal was not refilled especially after 8 am.

The continental breakfast and the lady working there was delicious, lots of choices and she was very friendly and helpful. A negative, most (not all) the housekeeping staff were very unfriendly, and as there is only one elevator for the building, you see them a lot. Beds very comfy, room and bathroom very nice and clean.

Gym looked well equipped, but we did not use the facility. Breakfast choices were excellent, but my husband found the hot food offered was not hot enough. Pancake machine was a great hit. The front desk staff were outstanding, very busy with demands from clientele but always pleasant and accommodating.
