Reviewed Jul 16, 2026This is the best bed and breakfast we have ever experienced. We had a spacious room with a king size bed, settee and coffee table. There was also a kitchenette with a full size fridge which was stocked with water and mik each day az was the coffee and milk. A patio door led to a terrace overlooking fields. This was furnished with bistro table and chairs. There was an excellent breakfast menu with waitress service. We also booked for diinner in their boutique restaurant. All the foiod was excellent and there was plenty of it. The staff were all friendly and couldnt do enough to make their guests happy. We will definitely return there.

Reviewed Jul 13, 2026On arrival everything is quick and easy. Ian and Karen our hosts are amazing, very polite and extremely knowledgable about the local area. Shown to our room which is situated at the edge of a large field with a lovely big patio area to sit and relax in to watch the wildlife. The room is spacious, very clean and has everything you need. The kitchen area has a fridge, tea/coffee making and free biscuits. The bathroom is large with a walk-in shower, soft towels, free soap and shampoo. After sleeping in the big comfy bed with lots of different comfy pillows, you can have a delicious breakfast. A large choice for breakfast, catering for everyone's taste and enough to start the day with a smile. An excellent stay away.

Seats outside with view on wildlife - a place to rest and enjoy. Extraordinary breakfasts, superb meals at the restaurant. Very warm welcome and hospitality! We can't wait to come again!

Reviewed Jun 4, 2026Perfect stay!!...lovely location with excellent views,very quiet,didn't want to leave!...spacious rooms with comfy beds and everything you need,patio doors and outdoor seating great,watching the sheep running about and the birds(cant remember what they were) an unexpected bonus,plus the 2 lovely cats on site...friendly host and staff,made really welcome and breakfast was outstanding,everything cooked perfectly and quality produce(rosti and black pudding...mmmmm)...lots of info in the rooms,places to go,eat,etc and binoculars to check out the little rabbits jumping about in the field opposite...top notch!!!

Reviewed May 22, 2026We have just spent 3 nights in a wonderful peaceful haven. Everything about our stay has been perfection. Ian and Karen have been amazing hosts and are helped by a great team. The room was spotless and fresh, very comfortable bed and pillows. The view outside onto the field of sheep and rabbits was a pleasure to watch. The lambs were playful and the guinea fowl are so comical. The food was delicious, a highly talented chef. The accommodation, food and drinks are all value for money. The location is perfect for trips to the coast. We highly recommend a stay here and are looking forward to our return in July.

This wasn’t the case at all and the room was quiet and well appointed even with bathrobes. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious .

Reviewed Aug 15, 2025Wonderfully quiet and relaxing environment, surrounded by sheep , Guinnie fowel and bunnies ! Very friendly and attentive staff. Lovely comfortable rooms and beautifully cooked breakfast and evening meal .

Bed was small. Small smell of the septic tank but it was very hot weather.

Reviewed Aug 12, 2025Hosts were lovely. Friendly and helpful. Location very peaceful. If you don't like 'farm noises' not for you. Close to lovely helmsley and many other beautiful villages. Nice to have such a large room with kitchen area and outside seating. Breakfast very nice. Shower amazing.
Mattress and pillows very hard but not everyone will complain about that.
