Killiane Castle Country House & Farm

It was a beautiful property! I wish we had booked a couple of days there. The room was perfect, the common areas were gorgeous, and the outside property was peaceful! I will book again if I get back to that area someday.

Lovely old house inside a castle ruin. In same family for over 100 years, and a lot of care and attention to detail. The best breakfast ever. And so quiet and peaceful as it is not in a town, but only a 5-10 minute drive to Wexford.

The hotel, the breakfast, the scenery and the staff/owners were incredible. We had a great time in the countryside!

A once-in-a-lifetime place to stay. Great room, great sitting rooms, and great opportunity to walk through a centuries old castle. Along with all of this an outstanding breakfast.

This was my 7th stay at Killiane and my husband's third. It is a very pleasant end to our regular visits to Ireland and very convenient for the ferry. everything that I have said in my previous reviews still applies and it is particularly pleasing to see a business that retains it high standards of service and hospitality. Killiane is a very good combination of professionalism and friendliness.

Country castle for sure. Loved walking around the property as there were many animals, gardens and neighboring properties to explore. Hosts were not welcoming at all! They seemed rather rude, stressed, too busy to be friendly. When I checked in there was only one other car in the parking area and I only saw one couple arrive while I was there. $15 euro for breakfast which I did not partake off. Only stayed one night as I was just needing a place to sleep.

The owners were very friendly and accommodating, giving lots of information about Killiane Castle and the Wexford area. The house was beautiful with lovely surrounding grounds. The room we were given was perfect for us and the breakfast was delicious served fresh from the kitchen. A wonderful place to stay.

The room was perfect with such quality fixtures and furniture. The bed was comfortable and everything so clean. The breakfast was out of this world. My wife had the porridge to start with a dash of Baileys, and then the best scrambled eggs ever.i had the most amazing selection of fruits followed by a gorgeous cooked breakfast. Will definitely be back.

We had an amazing stay at Killiane Castle. The hosts were incredibly welcoming, the property and grounds were cozy and beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious! We can’t wait to return soon.

Delightful stay in Killiane Castle Hotel. It's a short taxi journey from both Rosslare harbour and Wexford, and we were thrilled to be accommodated in one of the apartments. It had a fresh and contemporary feel to it, with a welcoming living room-diner area, and a comfortable, immaculate bed. All the facilities needed, including a radiator for chillier days, iron, hairdryer, and kitchen equipment. Towels in the bathroom were a bit dated, but aside from that it was perfect.

Friendly welcome & we were told where our room was and that we could make use of the lounge and the honesty bar in there. There was also a little area which had tea/coffee and homemade cake which was complimentary, a lovely touch and the cake was delicious! Our room/bed was very comfortable, we didn’t have breakfast as we had to leave really early for the ferry.

We were greeted by Paul and met his wife Patrick’s later in the day. This location is full of charm and off the beaten path. We met their dog Daisy and she showed us around the front yard haha. Chickens, Cows, Donkeys, they have it all here. Room was beautifully decorated and lots of room to move around. Highly recommend at least 1 night stay to see for yourself.

A lovely historic property in a country home embraced by a 13th century castle with a fantastic breakfast and beautiful grounds. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Very cosy and relaxed country house. Our deluxe room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Lighting was good. The breakfast is really good except for anaemic, American style coffee. The offer of a decent double esspresso or americano would make it perfect. This is an ideal one night stop before or after a ferry sailing.

Very convenient for the Rosslare Harbour and a very pleasant stay at the end of our journeys to Ireland which I now look forward to. Very well appointed property, delicious cake for afternoon tea, and comfortable, well-heated bedrooms. The Mernagh's are delightful hosts and go the extra mile to make one feel welcome and to be of assistance

This is a peaceful and beautiful place to stay situated out in the countryside. Our room was well appointed and they are serving us breakfast before we get back on the road .

The hosts of this bed and breakfast were so welcoming and hospitable. Rooms very luxurious and breakfast was sensational. Very attentive service and comfortable stay. Beds also very comfy. They made our first night in Ireland incredible experience.

This site is a true gem, run by incredibly industrious and gracious hosts in a spectacular setting with one of the best breakfasts and overall stays I’ve had on this trip to Ireland. Amazing!

This is a great place for an Irish country holiday. It is conveniently located between Saltee Islands and the Wexford Waterfowl Reserve. The breakfast is fantastic.

This is an amazing family run bed and breakfast. It could not have been any more perfect!

This beautiful home is tucked into the countryside. The staff was friendly. Check in was easy, and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We only stayed one night but if we had more time I could have stayed for a week. Restaurants are within a 10 minute drive.

Lovely rooms surrounded by a working farm. Irish pub down the road, with free rides back to the Castle after drinks. Excellent dining in nearby Wexford at LaCote

This property is immaculate. The hosts are the best I have met in a long time. The bedroom and bathroom were so beautifully set out for all things required. The history of the castle is very impressive. Definitely a 5 star stay.

We loved everything from the easy and friendly checkin. To the beautiful rooms, suggestions and arrangements for our dinner out. The delicious treats when we arrived. The amazing breakfast was out of this world. I could go on and on but it was beyond perfect in every way!!

This is my third stay at Killiane prior to travelling on the ferry and the experience has been consistently good. A friendly and helpful welcome. Comfortable and pleasant surroundings. Delicious breakfast and home-made cake on arrival. Highly recommended.

How can I describe the inscribable. I wanted to spoil myself the last night in Ireland. The way this place was built in the ruins of an old castle was magical.

A great experience and the couple running the hotel were very accomodating. The only down thing was the lack of good restaurants around - very mediocre. It is also a long way from nowhere, you have to drive, too far to walk

What a beautiful place to stay out. Great location & wonderful property to walk around. The hosts were fantastic.

Very nice. We stayed in the apartment and was large. Facilities good and clean. Cookies and milk when we arrived to the room. Breakfast was excellent and local sourced and Irish food. We had laundry done and was all done by them and returned to our room and done well and not pricey. Our room was essentially in the Castle courtyard. We also went up in castle. It was fun and staff made it easy for us. The farm was pretty too. I would definitely recommend for service and rooms and being historic.

Loved having donkeys & chickens close by. The snug & self serve adult refreshments were a very homey touch. Breakfast was delicious. So nice to have a little later checkout so we could enjoy the castle & grounds in the morning.

Paul and the team were brilliant - a fantastic place with a very helpful and friendly approach including organising taxis and recommending restaurants in Wexford for an evening meal

Food was excellent! Perfect first night in Ireland. We arrived and we’re able to explore the castle and grounds without having to hop back in a car to go and see something.

A wonderful place to rest yourself after a long day. Superb breakfast and late checkout topped off a great stay. Would certainly stay there again.

Killiane Castle is awesome. Paul the proprietor was helpful, informational and very genial. We had a lovely walk around the property, got to meet the donkeys and explore the castle. Breakfast was delicious and the home made fruit dishes and jam was exquisite.

Great stay over night, arrived via Irish ferries so a nice stay before onward journey. The Irish full breakfast was amazing and staff very friendly with local knowledge. Would recommend this lovely Hotel.

This was such a picturesque and pleasant stay. I needed something close to Rosslare ferry for the night and this was a delight. Loved seeing cows and ancient castle remnants.

Very peaceful and comfortable stopping off point on our journey between the east and west coast of Southern Ireland.

This is a truly lovely place to stay. A warm welcome awaited us. The accommodation and facilities available to guests are real "quality". Delivered with an outstanding professional "service. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return there and recommend to others.

We had a fabulous time at Kiliane Castle. It was beyond what we hoped or imagined. The grounds were fun to explore and the castle ruins were interesting. The hotel portion is attached to the castle and was built in the 1700’s. It is well taken care of and had all the amenities of an expensive hotel. The breakfast was amazing with a buffet of homemade granola, jams and toast and a very extensive menu with made to order items, including oatmeal with Baileys Irish Cream! Everything was delicious! We also enjoyed conversing with the friendly owners throughout our stay. This is a top notice establishment, truly a highlight of our time in Ireland. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer!

We stayed here for 1 night and wished it could have been longer. Rooms were elegant, food was delicious and the hosts were so welcoming. We walked the property and climbed the castle turret. Very memorable stay!

A traditional and beautifully appointed hotel, surrounded by countryside, and mature trees. Patricia made us most welcome and we could not have been more comfortable.

The hosts were wonderful and recommended dining options. They additional had fresh cake with coffee and tea available all day. The grounds are nice with a short walking trail. Our only issue was a slightly moldy smell, which I imagine is to be expected considering the age of the castle.

We return to Killiane Castle time after time for the faultless hospitality we enjoyed once again . Rooms are reliably comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our hosts are genuinely engaged in providing a warm welcome, even down to the 24hr refreshment nook under the stairs with delicious homemade cake. Breakfast was superb and served in the elegant morning room; several delicious hot options and an extensive buffet of cold options for non-carnivores. “Earl Grey infused apricots” were much enjoyed. The proximity to Rosslare port makes this an ideal choice for a stop before or after the ferry; however there is plenty in the locality (golf, heritage, restaurants, shopping) to make it a good base for a longer stay in “The ancient east”. Don’t miss it!

Really good comfortable stay. Sole problem was noise early in the morning (3am) from a neighbours TV and also people outside an open window talking.

The property is beautiful and peaceful. The accommodations were extremely comfortable and unique. The breakfast was top notch with very fresh food beautifully prepared. I will stay here again!

It was wonderfully renovated. The owners are so proud and friendly. Gave us places to go to see well worth it. Owners whip up a great breakfast everyone enjoyed to the max. The room was large and dressed out as a castle would be. Would definitely go back.

A stunning property nestled in the Irish countryside a short drive from Wexford.

Beautifully quiet and very helpful, especially with breakfast, which was excellent. This is an ideal place to stay if you're catching the ferry - but give yourself time the evening before for the farm walk. I didn't and wish I hadn.

We loved the peaceful setting.

It is always pleasant to receive more than expected and Killiane Castle delivered that in spades. The 15th century castle is spectacular and the 17th century manor house (where we stayed) was so beautiful and comfortable. We had a delightful walk around the grounds last night and was able to peak in on some of the ruins of the castle. Since this is a sustainable farm, all of the breakfast fixings came from property. Delicious! A staff member recommended The Farmers Kitchen at the entrance to the property for dinner and, like the castle itself, we were not disappointed. Excellent experience all around.

A delightful overnight stay in a fine house of character. A very warm welcome from the hosts and staff. Convenient for Rosslare harbour too. Breakfast was served from a varied menu and was very enjoyable.

Loved this stop on our trip. Wish we had more time there.

We were welcomed upon our arrival and basically given the run of the area. The room was quiet and very comfortable, the breakfast excellent. We even had the chance to pet the resident Labrador. Castle was interesting. Couldn't find anything I would change, except it would be nice to stay longer.

We just booked an overnight stay and was was extremely happy with everything. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever anywhere. Highly recommend it.

This was a great place to stay. The owners were really nice. We got in late and had a hard time finding a place to have dinner nearby but ended up going to a pub that served food. We had a lot of luggage that was hard to bring up all the stairs because we were on the top floor. Our room was a bit small but it had everything we needed. The bathroom was a good size. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was great. I wish we could've stayed longer. I would stay here again!
