Les toilettes n'étant pas bien scellé au sol, le porte serviette de la salle de bain étant presque cassé. La boîte de mouchoir mise à disposition était presque vide (il restait 4 mouchoirs dedans) et elle n'a pas été remplacé lors du passage de la femme de ménage. Il y avait une seule et unique petite savonnette au niveau de la douche, rien au niveau du lavabo. Le nettoyage des housses de fauteuils de la terrasse mériteraient un coup de lavage. Prévoir un adaptateur pour les prises électriques qui sont de "types D"

No es q no me gustase, es solo lo q le falta para ser perfecto. Que aunque estaba limpio, los cristales del baño estaban con manchas, q deben ser de la dureza del propio agua (cal) Nos tocó arriba y no había ascensor. Solo eran 2 pisos pero yo tengo un dedo roto del pie y bueno... lo hice bien pero alguien q no lo sepa, no me di cuenta de leerlo en la descripción. Quizás solo ponerlo por si acaso

The staff at Dodola Lodge were professional and attentive to all my request. The location is ideal for quieter beachside relaxation, yet situated only minutes drive from the buzz of Grande Baie. Pereybere is a lovely smaller beach perfect for swimming and relaxing. I look forward to returning soon.

Due to the rooms not being soundproof, there were other noisey guests that could be heard when hovering outside on the walkways at night.

Je regrette un certain inconfort au niveau isolation thermique. En effet humidité ++ sous évier odeur moisissures ( chambre RDC) infiltration. Réveillant l allergie de mon amie.

Petit hôtel calme avec une très belle décoration. La chambre est impeccable, les meubles sont très beaux , le style est unique et tropical, avec une des plus belles douches que j'ai vu dans un hôtel, la terrasse est très bien, couverte et avec un séchoir pour les serviettes et maillot de bain. Les réceptionnistes sont professionnels et très sympathiques. L'hôtel est proche de tout : la plage, les restaurants, l'arrêt de bus, le supermarché. Très bon rapport qualité-prix.

Good location just next to the beach , Restaurants, Supermarket everything you need. Room is big , bathroom and shower are comfortable.

Sharing kitchen for self cooking even if you book a room with kitchenette it's just a and a fridge ,microwave with cutlery. Smell in the room , I guess it's from mold.

L'accueil était très chaleureux, et en plus a l'écoute de nos besoin et de très bon conseils pour visiter des endroits incroyable !

On a aimé la proximité de l’établissement avec les restaurants et la plage de Pérybere. On a passé un séjour de deux nuits idéal pour un logement de quelques nuits afin de profiter les alentours à pieds.

Le petit parking galère pour se garer surtout début janvier.

Some of the photos on the site are misleading. e.g., there are photos of a restaurant in the hotel, but there is none. Quality of housekeeping could have been better. Had to do some cleaning ourselves

Customer service was top very helpful for anything nice and friendly no issues also with housekeeping I recommend will be back thank you all

La localisation est idéale pour profiter de Pereybere tout en étant au calme, avec un rapport qualité prix imbattable.

Il manque juste un espace détente avec le wifi au niveau de l’accueil, qui est pourtant un endroit calme et agréable.

J'ai choisi cette établissement puisque c'est près de la plage public,

J'ai choisi cette établissement puisque c'est près de la plage public, mais la propreté laisse a désirée, le robinet du salle de bain était salle, j'étais avec les enfant de bas âge et il y avait du préservatif dans le tiroir et les enfants me demandait ce que c'est, il y avait que les chaine locale à la télé les enfant s'ennuyait a un certaine moment, c'est vrai qu'on était là-bas pour profité de la plage etc mais avoir un bon chaîne télé aussi c'est pa trop demander. J'étais déjà parti auparavant et j'avais bien aimé mais cette fois si bof

We would have liked more outside space

L’emplacement idéal pour le nord de l’île, à quelques minutes à pied de la plage, pas loin de grand baie. Grande chambre. Personnel discret et agréable. Facilité pour stationner grâce au petit parking et d’autres places sur la route lorsque celui ci est plein.

Problème d’humidité dans la chambre malgré les absorbeurs.

La décoration était originale et travaillée. Nous n’avons pas profité de la terrasse mais elle avait l’air sympathique.

Nous sommes arrivés pour le Check in à 19h, il n’y avait personne à la réception, on nous a indiqué le présumé parking qui était complet, l’accueil a été froid et brouillon. La chambre quand à elle était très humide si bien que la literie l’était aussi, présence également de moisissures dans la salle d’eau et dans la globalité la chambre ne sentait pas bon. Le wifi n’a pas fonctionné le premier soir. La taxe de séjour nous a été demandé en liquide obligatoirement que nous n’avions pas à notre arrivée, nous avons voulu régulariser cela le lendemain matin à 9h, l’accueil est ouverte à partir de 8h30 (renseignements que nous avons demandé la veille) mais personne n’était présent, de même pour le jour de notre départ où pour le Check out nous avons dû glisser une enveloppe avec un montant supérieur à la somme demandé car nous n’avions pas l’appoint. Nous avons également trouvé 2 blattes mortes le matin de notre départ..

Perfect location near the beach and clean room. Our flight got cancelled while we were staying here and Kim at the front desk was so helpful in contacting the airline for us and helping us to rebook our flights. Parking is easy. The only expected thing is the door to the bathroom is clear glass; a pull down shade can be used for more privacy but it still caught us off guard. Cute patio area and there is also a guard at nighttime which made us feel safe!

It's not 5 star, but I'd rate it 5 star because it's all you need. Spacious room, outdoor patio, stylish bathroom and shower. Close to restaurants and beach.

Could be cleaner in the room, bedsheets and pillowcases weren’t very clean , had stains on them. The cutlery and cups also weren’t cleaned well. Cup had lipstick marks on it still!

The property itself is decent but not well maintained. For example, the fountain at the front has no water, the shower has no drain cover, the fridge in our room was leaking water. We also had a problem with the sliding door on our balcony - it actually wouldn’t close all the way because the door is slightly too small for the frame! So that was concerning, especially because the balcony was directly connected to the neighbors balcony, only separated by some blinds. It was pretty clean except the shower needed a deep clean - there was some mold in the grout and the shower head was old. Overall it was comfortable and for the price and location it wasn’t a bad experience, I just think the property has been neglected for far too long!

There was no briefing by Lodge Administrator about some other entertaining sides around ,eg we only saw on Sunday as we leave further down on south side there is plenty of boats for hiring for trips and some lot of good restaurants. It must be standard to give visitors induction and briefing about the area especially foreigners

The rooms are comfortable, clean and the balconies are fantastic to have a coffee on in the mornings and a drink at night. It is close to restaurants, shops and the beach. It is also right by the bus stop to Grand baie.

There was no fridge in our room, there is a communal fridge in the communal kitchen but it is rather gross as everyone puts there things in there. Even just a small fridge in the room would be fine, just to put some milk and drinks in.

Loved the relaxed but well thought out aesthetics of this place and the location is great if you want to stay in the North without being in the super touristy spots. Lots of amenities like restaurants and a supermarket are within a few steps.

Wish they had provided an induction in the kitchenette or had some basic food service (like breakfast).

Great Boutique hotel literally across the road from the beach. Loads of restaurants near and a winners supermarket walking distance. Little kitchen and good fridge. If you are on a budget super U offer great meals to take away. Lovely sized room. Had a great stay shower was fantastic.

The lodge was well-kept, clean, and classy. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Dodola Lodge.

Good spacious room with a balcony, clean, nice staff, straightforward check in and out. Decent check out time (I’m not a morning person)

No mini fridge. Had to use their common storage to put our food in. I think they may have rats in the common fridge, wether human or non-human is a different question. One of these rats ate my food so be careful

When booking months in advance we specifically indicated not to be allocated ground floor unit but that exactly what we've got, a dark cave, no privacy even in the bathroom, when seated on the porch passing traffic is about 2m from you, and Achtung, electric fence, about a meter. No tropical paradise experience rather that of a detention camp. Pereybere beach is about 200m, small, crowded, unattractive, if needed some shade no other beach in a walking distance. Car is essential here for daily escapes, but again parking is in a short supply. Staff, nice and polite does not apply to arrogant female at the reception doing our check-in.

Located in a quiet side street just off the main road and very close to Pereybere public beach. My room was spotlessly clean and was serviced everyday. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are a handful of restaurants on the main road nearby.

The (very) big plus for Jag's Villa is the location - 5 min. drive to the airport. Otherwise the rooms are standard, clean and without any deficiencies. The property is fenced/gated. The housekeepers are very friendly and accommodating. One issue travelers should be aware of: the only accepted payment form is CA$H. (receipt may be a hagle).

Great balance between comfort and value, without much compromise on comfort.

Enter by the little zen pool, check in with the friendly staff then relax on your street side balcony or head to the beach to watch the sunset. Very comfortable and clean but won’t break the bank. This little place is set slightly back from the main road so it’s fairly quiet (although there is a little street noise) Conveniently close to the beach, bus stop, supermarket etc

Great location just a short walk to the beach and great food spots nearby. Crêpe restaurant right downstairs too! Spacious rooms!

Not very accommodating staff, no one working past a certain hour which can prove difficult. One of the lights in the bulkhead above the curtain blew with an extremely loud pop waking up our baby leaving us without power for what would have been the entire night (since there were no staff present) if not for a bit of searching to find the breaker switches. The bathroom is poorly designed and leaks water everywhere into the living space despite the design supposedly supporting it. Absolutely no way to clean the water afterwards other than to let it dry or use one of the limited towels supplied. This may be common, but needing to insert our key card to receive power is very inconvenient, ESPECIALLY when only given one card despite booking for two guests.

Modern design was lacking in some practicalities. Bathroom had nowhere to hang towels and water pressure was pulsing ( 2nd floor) and drains were blocked.

We really liked Dodola Lodge's location, bed, washroom and the host. In comments, people have written that the bed is small..can understand as it could be for people who are extremely tall. (6.1" and above) However for Asians, i feel it is a good fit. We felt room was spacious. People can choose this location as it is very near to the bus and taxi stop. Also, both French and Indian cuisine restaurants are just within 7-15 minutes walking distance. (Would suggest to try La Brunchetta for breakfast and Nitzana for lunch. For Pizza, one can try Mississippi Fried chicken - I am pure vegetarian and these places really worked out well for me) Buses take u directly to Mont Choisy, Grand Baie beaches which is within half an hour and is in one straight road. Pereybere beach which is just a minute from Dodola lodge is nice to see the sunset.

Honestly there was nothing to dislike, it was a lovely stay.
