Nous avons aimé le concept original de l'hôtel, la chambre jolie et fonctionnelle, la douche "extérieure", le jardin luxuriant, le personnel souriant et avenant, à l'écoute et toujours prêt à donner de bons conseils sur les lieux à visiter aux environs.

Love the concept, how close to nature we feel. The staff are so nice, helpful and welcoming especially Nilesh!😊 10/10 on hospitality.The breakfast was good too.

The container room is a bit small, so better for a solo/ couple stay than a group stay. Tags on the shampoo and shower gel bottle would be great and we couldn’t figure out which was which.

The hotel is literally a small oasis! The rooms (containers) are surrounded by trees and plants. The staff is very friendly and kind. The shower is an open space and feels like you shower outdoors. The breakfast is great and the coffee is amazing (it is offered by the small coffee shop on site).

The small room could feel a bit cramped if you are traveling with more than one big suitcase.

What was touching was that the kitchen and hotel staff at their own initiative prepared and served fresh vegeterian snack dishes as my wife eats only veg. food. The staff was very very helpful. The staff at reception, Ms. Maeva, dropped us to Grand Baie beach in her car, so that we could catch our boat on time. She even supported in coordinating with the rental car company which sent staff to repair their car. Mr. Nilesh, operations manager at the hotel, coming from Hindu Indian heritage connected with us we well. He informed us about the culture of Mauritius as this hotel was our first place of stay in this trip (our first to Mauritius). The hotel organised a cozy night for FIFA World Cup 2026 final screening.

Room lights had some minor issues but maintenance in late evening hours was not available.

The environment, the coziness of the rooms, the beautiful bathroom, the kindness and politeness of the staff. The small attention with welcome and my name i just loved it.

The breakfast was good but i would prefer the fruits to be cut and i little more choices like white bread.

Le personnel constitue l’un des points forts de l’établissement : tout le monde est accueillant, disponible, souriant et toujours prêt à rendre service. On s’y sent rapidement comme à la maison. J’ai également beaucoup apprécié la taille humaine et l’atmosphère de l’hôtel. L’établissement est apaisant tout en étant situé à Pereybère, dans le nord de l’île (une zone vivante avec de nombreux restaurants, bars et activités à proximité). C’est un excellent point de départ pour découvrir l’île. Le petit-déjeuner est simple et de qualité : café / thé, jus frais, céréales, pain, crêpes du jour, œufs (sous toute leurs formes)… Tout ce qu’il faut pour bien commencer la journée. Après deux semaines sur place, je garde un très bon souvenir de mon séjour. Je recommande cet hébergement sans hésiter !

Établissement extraordinaire et original. Proche des commodités et de la plage. Excellente communication de la réservation jusqu’à l’arrivée. Le personnel est bienveillant, chaleureux et soucieux du bien être de chacun. Le cadre est verdoyant, calme, idéal pour chiller ou travailler. Des activités sont organisées pour partager des moments de convivialité. Des gâteaux sont proposés ce qui permet une pause ou un dessert gourmand, des infusions sont également très bonnes. Le petit déjeuner est composé de produits de qualité et les viennoiseries sont vraiment bonnes (pas de produits industrielles).

Le réfrigérateur vraiment petit ne permet pas de mettre une bouteille d’un litre ou plus.

L’endroit et le personnel sont très agréables.

Le lit côté enfant est dur comme la pierre et les lumières des issues de secours sont beaucoup trop fortes et empêchent un sommeil réparateur.

Nous avons séjourné deux nuits dans cet établissement et avons été pleinement séduits par le cadre, à la fois paisible et parfaitement intégré dans un environnement verdoyant. L’accueil a été particulièrement soigné : le personnel se montre chaleureux, professionnel et attentif. Le petit-déjeuner, quant à lui, est très agréable et contribue à la qualité de l’expérience.

C’était juste parfait ! J’ai rarement eu un personnel aussi gentil.

Das Personal war super freundlich und die ganze Anlage richtig schön gemacht, wir wären gerne länger als eine Nacht geblieben. Die Lage war auch super, Strand und verschiedene Restaurants kann man zu Fuß erreichen.

I liked: - the shared beautiful garden - the breakfast was good, even though there are not so many options (should try their omelette) - the big and unusual shower room

We booked a deluxe room but got a downgrade with a tiny bedroom.

The entire complex is set in a beautiful garden and is within walking distance of Pereybere Beach, dining options, and a supermarket.

I would appreciate having at least a small refrigerator in the room.

The place is very beautiful. The staff is very kind and helpful. They accommodated all our requests and specially prepared vegetarian meals in breakfast for us. Very prompt response.

There is no staff in the premise post 6 pm so feels a little deserted if you need any help. Although we could reach them on phone post that.

Hébergement très original, aménagé dans d’anciens conteneurs et disposé dans un jardin luxuriant. Tout est de bon goût et bien décoré. L’accueil est fantastique et cela tout au long du séjour. On a l’impression de loger chez des amis. Petit café avec de délicieux gâteaux fabriqués localement. On peut déjeuner à midi. Petit déjeuner simple mais suffisant Bien situé à Péreybere avec des restaurants à proximité à pied.

Notre chambre disposait d’un micro frigo où logeaient seules deux canettes de soda ou de bière. Un mini frigo permettant de recevoir des bouteilles d eau serait plus adapté.

Der Service war mehr als zuvorkommend. Das gesamte Personal war professionell und aufmerksam, sodass man sich von der ersten Minute gut aufgehoben und wie zu Hause fühlt. Das Konzept ist super, simple aber schöne Container eingebettet in einen traumhaften Garten.

Todo. La ubicación, las instalaciones, el personal… Entras en el recinto y sientes una paz absoluta y una energía muy bonita. El personal muy amable y cercano, estuvieron muy pendientes de nosotros, y uno de los días ajustaron el horario del desayuno para que pudiéramos disfrutarlo y llegar a tiempo a una actividad que teníamos programada temprano. No faltó ningún detalle, todo impecable (y el café buenísimo). Sin duda, lo recomendamos 100% y volveríamos con los ojos cerrados.

OBEŌ Garden est un très bel établissement, idéalement situé, propre et avec un concept vraiment réussi. Le personnel est réceptif, attentionné et extrêmement gentil. Un petit clin d’œil à Maeva qui a été absolument au top durant tout notre séjour. Un endroit où nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

Die Location mit den Containern ist wirklich sehr besonders und dafür auch wirklich hochwertig gemacht. Das Bett ist sehr groß und bequem. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und bis zum Strand von Pereybere braucht man ca 10 min zu Fuß.

Das Frühstück ist zwar sehr lecker (es gibt immer eine Eispeise) und Toast aber doch recht wenig, wenn man anderes gewohnt ist. Es wäre schön, wenn wenigstens Käse oder ma eine Avocado angeboten werden würde. Nichtsdestotrotz war es immer ausreichend. Das Deluxe Zimmer ist sehr groß wobei das Zimmer mit dem Sofa nie verwendet wurde. Die Outdoor Dusche ist nett und wird durch eine Schiebetür vom Schlafzimmer abgetrennt, die nicht komplett schließt, sodass Tiere natürlich immer ins Zimmer kommen können.

This is an urban hideaway on the coast. The architecture is great and the staff super friendly and accommodating. I'm looking forward to see this place grow.

Un lieu inspirant, bien plus qu’un hôtel !
OBOĒ Gardenstē est avant tout un concept : un espace pensé pour se ressourcer, créer, travailler autrement. L’aménagement est superbe, à la fois apaisant et inspirant. On s’y sent bien, porté par une atmosphère douce et joyeuse. Et la playlist est parfaite ! J’y ai passé plusieurs journées en télétravail, et j’ai rarement aussi bien travaillé : le lieu invite à la concentration autant qu’à la détente. Le personnel est d’une bienveillance rare, toujours attentif sans être intrusif. On sent une vraie philosophie du lieu, ouverte et généreuse : cours de yoga, ateliers, initiation au créole. Le petit-déjeuner est délicieux, préparé avec soin. Et même s’il n’y a pas de restaurant le soir, ce n’est pas un problème : on peut utiliser la cuisine ou se faire livrer son dîner. Mention spéciale aussi pour les massages de Quentin.

Oboe is a very cool eco-friendly hotel surrounded by a beautiful natural environment. The atmosphere feels cozy, modern, and exclusive, with stylish and thoughtful decoration throughout. The staff are extremely warm, kind and helpful ,making the stay even more enjoyable. Everything is very clean, and the bathroom is simply extraordinary. Breakfast was also very nice and a perfect way to start the day. The hotel has a parking area for those with a car. It’s just a short walk from the beach, Pereybere Beach is beautiful. There are several dive centers nearby, as it’s a great area for diving. In addition to the nice cafe at the hotel, there’s another lovely cafe/ restaurant (open only during the day) very close by (Bloom). Many restaurants in Grand Baie are only a short drive away, and you can also order food directly to the hotel. We love Oboe! :)

Compared to the very spacious bathroom, the room felt a bit small, especially if you’re traveling with larger luggage, and it only had a bed without a seating area- though this worked fine for us. The bathroom is separated from the room by a fabric door, so sound isolation isn’t perfect. Since the hotel embraces a very natural design, some bathroom areas are slightly open, which means mosquitoes can occasionally get in. There are no mosquito screens on the windows or doors, and while we only had a few mosquitoes (not overwhelming), it would be much better if screens were installed. This would also allow guests to keep doors open for ventilation, as the room gets quite heated during the day, even though there is AC.

Stayed as a family if 4 for 2 nights, the concept is great, rooms lovely and clean, the bathrooms are really nice, all fixtures and fittings are top quality. Common areas are relaxing and you can use the kitchen to make or store drinks. We utilised the studio space for yoga in mornings, and they serve a good egg omlette and coffee for breakfast

Das Paar, welches das Hotel führt ist äusserst herzlich und zuvorkommend. Der Aufenthalt war sehr persönlich und wir haben uns wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das Frühstück war hervorragend!

New hospitality approach and key selling point are in there. If you want to be out of the box that place is for you! Simply my family and I love this place.

Net screens or similar would be better if they were installed to prevent mosquitoes from getting inside the rooms.

The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help in any way they can! It's a perfect spot for exploring the north coast, with plenty of parking space available for your car. The breakfast selection isn’t very large, but it was more than enough to start the day off right. Eggs are prepared to your liking, which is a great bonus! We’ll definitely visit again if we're ever in Mauritius.

An amazing place to stay, especially if you're traveling alone, on a budget, and don't need a hotel with beach club access. The hotel is just a 7-minute walk from one of the best public beaches on the island—Pereybere. It's also a great spot to work on your computer and meet new people.

Everything was perfect - you definitely do not expect this type of accommodation in the middle of hectic Grand Bay. It is super calm and quiet & you'll be surrounded by nature, birds and the little neighbor's cute dog :) The staff is young and super friendly. Breakfast was simple but effective and we loved that the rooms were clean, with great bedding & a large bathroom. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !

Other than the mosquitoes when you are sitting out in the garden, everything was perfect!

Being close to the road it was noisy and we had a power outage it was quite inconvenient.

Meeting the owner, Astrid. She is kind and generous and gave us a warm welcome. Great communication with the host. Amazing haven of peace full of giant trees and birdsong. Breakfast was great. So much attention to detail.

My stay was perfect.

We loved the concept. The landscaping is just amazing and you feel peaceful and at home. Everyone smiles and is happy to help you out, and lets you enjoy the privacy you need. The cosy suite is comfortable and not too big. The shower is amazing and you feel in nature. The rooms are equipped with AC and blackout blinds so you get a peaceful sleep. You can chill on the deck and there is a yoga studio - connect to the Marshall speaker, grab your mat and blocks and indulge in a few stretches in that calm environment. The kitchen is open if you want to use their equipment or need to heat a takeaway.The whole team there is just excellent. They catered for my gluten-free breakfast. The host Astrid is very good at communicating and has had a great vision for this place. It is eco-friendly and serene. The garden is just one of my faves. My husband and I will definitely be back. :)

The best part about this place, aside from the bizarre design (cleverly stacked shipping containers) is how green it is: solar power, recycled water used for gardening, and other such things. It could very well be the greenest hotel in the whole country. The grounds are beautiful, and I wish I had stayed longer than one night. Comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Amazing bathroom that is almost open-air (you feel like you're showering outside.).

My only major complaint is that my room wasn't ready when I arrived, and I didn't arrive until 6pm. I also wasn't able to use the WIFI, but I had a local data plan, so that wasn't a big deal. They had a party the night I was there, so it was loud, but I'm a heavy sleeper, so that also wasn't a huge issue.

My recent stay at Ōboē was absolutely magical! From the moment I arrived, I felt like I'd stepped into a home away from home, albeit a seriously stylish one. The design is utterly charming, with thoughtful touches everywhere, and the bathrooms deserve a special shout-out – they're both beautiful and impeccably clean. Speaking of clean, the entire facility was spotless, a testament to the team's dedication. But what truly elevated my experience was the service. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. Their kindness and attentiveness were world-class; they anticipated every need and made me feel truly valued. Beyond the incredible team, the facilities were also fantastic. The on-site yoga studio was a huge bonus, allowing me to maintain my practice while traveling. The location is also ideal, just a short 10-minute trip to the beach. While having a car was definitely useful for exploring the surrounding area, the proximity to the beach was a major plus. Everything about my stay at OBOĒ exceptional. It wasn't just a hotel stay; it was an experience. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already planning my return. I can't wait to go back!

The location was amazing - 10 min walk to the Pereybere beach. It's centrally located without the buzz of being right on a busy street, which is perfect for a light sleeper like me. The bedding was perfect - I slept so well. And we really loved the bathrobes and the bathroom! Astrid, the creator of OBOE, was extremely warm and welcoming - it was great to stay at a hotel ran by a Mauritian woman.

The breakfast wasn't amazing (we had high expectations based on previous reviews) but it was still ok!

On the positive side, the air conditioning was effective and quiet, and the bathroom was beautiful. The resort's surroundings were pleasant, and the complimentary airport transfer was a great service. While we appreciated the efforts made to improve our stay, we encountered daily issues that detracted from our experience. We hope future guests have a smoother experience.

Our stay had its ups and downs. The breakfast system was chaotic; on our first day, no one explained the menu, and we waited 30 minutes for omelets. The croissants tasted stale. Pancakes were also dry, and there was a lack of fresh vegetables. The fridge in our room was non-functional and was only replaced after two requests during our four-night stay. Communication via booking was poor, and contacting through WhatsApp yielded no quicker responses. Cleaning should be a standard and not a request from our side. The room is small, there is no hallway, so naturally, the floor gets dirty more quickly. We also had to ask for the trash bins to be emptied... the bins are small and fill up quickly. Towels could be changed more frequently in that humid environment.

Privacy, landscaping and great customer service

Absolutely fabulous, it feels like you are part of a family. Just genuinely kind people who want you to have a great stay. Astrid and her team really care about their guest I was having a hard time and I was so looked after could not recommend enough
