Clifton Hotel

Nice place

Na

Right next to train station and 2 minute walk to the beach

The sausage with the full English was cheap and dreadful quality. Would happily pay an extra £2 for the room and get a butcher quality sausage.

Breakfast was superb and staff were very friendly. Location near bus station and train station and only two blocks from promenade and beach was terrific.

a few more towel hooks on back of door or in bathroom.

C clean tidy and friendly

Close to everything

Location and good breakfast, staff very friendly .

Less stairs .

Great location. Friendly staff

On the top floor. Was a bit of a hike...But not a major issue.

Great location very friendly staff.

Unfortunately the night we stayed there WiFi was down and couldn’t use the tv for news, but was being repaired as we were leaving.

You had keys for anytime entering

Breakfast was served to early

Location and staff. Good value for money. Good breakfast

Shower was a bit hit and miss. Mattress too soft for my taste.

Close to sea front / town centre

Locks on door were a bit confusing, but member of staff happy to help

Clean very nice breakfast

Na

Rooms lovely and clean. Staff very welcoming. Breakfast was a welcoming when going out for the day. Perfect position for train station, to be fair never heard any trains thanku guy's

A lot of stairs, but it's an old building, thay are very wide and also deep steps, so that sorta helped.

Wonderful and kind staff

Bon petit dej!

Rien à dire

So welcoming and lovely breakfast good location for amenities

Lots of stairs which is difficult if you have mobility issues. Our room also lacked a shelf in bathroom which made it difficult to store toiletry items

good wifi. sky tv in room. breakfast was nice and filling. Good location

old and dated furniture. tired building. small room. didnt sleep well at all. noisy neighbours and street noise. uncomfortable bed.

STAFF FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL, ROOM SPACIOIUS AND CLEAN, BREAKFst tasty

Hotel was in a brilliant location. Few steps to the station and a very short walk to the beach. Hotel was clean and staff friendly but the stairs are a hassle if you have anything more than hand luggage or are disabled. Breakfast was superb.

The stairs. We were on the top floor with a heavy suitcase.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation suited are needs and was comfortable and clean. The choice of breakfast was good and the cooked breakfast was excellent

The location sadly was not the best0

Friendly staff gave us a great welcome

Nothing

We have stayed before at the Clifton and would definitely stay again. Very clean and great location to the railway station, the beach and bars and restaurants . The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a very good choice at breakfast and the full English was delicious. It's great having the pub next door and would have a drink before going out and a nightcap before going to our room at the end of the night. Would 100% recommend the Clifton Hotel

My pillow was hard and lumpy but my husband said his was fine so it's personal preference

Great place to stay and a fantastic breakfast

Friendly staff Comfortable bed Good breakfast Good price

We had a room that was on the second floor. I am 76 and my wife is 68 so it was a a bit of a trek to get to our room.

Everything was great. Brought family from Belfast and they loved it too. A fabulous break.

Staff and breakfast were great.

La gentilezza del proprietario x aiutarci con le nostre moto !

Right next to the Railway station, friendly staff, early check-in.

It’s not really a Hotel, just rooms above a rather rough pub. The whole place is very down at heel.

Location on sea front good. Ok breakfast, not the best quality.

Old dated rooms, too hot in the summer weather. Parking only includes certain hours.

Great location free parking great breakfast

Very good Breakfast good size well decorated room with excellent shower.

The adjoining Public House was a little tired and needed updating.

It was a comfortable stay, the staff were extremely helpful and we will be back.

Location very good right next to the railway station. Breakfast very good.

Location and clean nice staff and owners

Nothing

The location near station was very good for us and only a short walk into town. The room was well decorated and had a walk in shower. Staff friendly and plenty of choices for breakfast.

The outside of the hotel and pub were a bit tired.

Perfect location Spotlessly clean inside Superb breakfast Lovely staff

Pub interno

Nulla

Everything it was excellent for what we paid for breakfast was also very good plenty of choice

Nothing

Nothing

The breakfast is bad .. the stuff are so rude ! The one who was making the breakfast she doesn’t have any communication skills

Very nice

breakfast and location fine

The location was perfect also the free parking Breakfast was delicious and good choice served with very welcoming staff couldn’t do enough for you Shower was good

A bit tired and a few things needed to be cleaned like stair carpet if I was being honest restaurant very clean Lots early morning noise if you sleep with the windows open and if your room is on the road we had room 1

Really nice breakfast

Unfortunately our room, which we also had the last time we stayed there, was in the front above the bar and taxi rank , extremely noisy so sleep was very hard to come by .

Good location with free parking in nearby carpark. The cooked breakfast was amazing!

Lots of stairs and room was very hot during the night. Unfortunately we couldn't reach the socket behind tv to plug in fan.

Welcoming staff good breakfast fan provided for extreme heat parking permit for nearby public carpark

staircase carpet and bannister grubby/stained

Room was clean and with a much needed fan! Breakfast was great and the staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful

Check-in in the bar. From the outside, the hotel didn';t look inviting but we were pleasantly surprised when we got in

The breakfast was very nice and the staff very helpful. The room was clean, if a little basic. The baggage storage was an absolute bonus

Very unfair of me to mention the room was too hot, given it was a red warning but it was. A fan was provided but as there was an army of pigeon s outside I couldn't open the window so the fan was just circulating the hot air.

We had a nice big room. Comfortable beds. Full cooked breakfast with lots of choice. Convenient location to walk to Weymouth harbour area. Parking is in a municipal parking lot a couple of blocks away but you can pull up outside the hotel to load and unload.

Great location, opposite train station and only a 5 min walk to beach and bars. Planning staying there again next year. 10/10

Fantastic Room

All. Very good

very decent choice at breakfast. Good position to reach the beach, pavillon.

Maybe if we had been there longer, and had more luggage, walking up the stairs might have been an issue, but we were only there for 1 night.

The Room was nice as well as the Breakfast Great Location

It was very differcult to get the Tv channels and there was no Instructions either Was alot of stairs to climb

Great location, really friendly staff. Free parking off site big bonus, breakfast included and it was freshly cooked to order and really good

Nothing major at all, just a few things that looked a bit tired but honestly overall it’s a great bet

Nähe zum Strand, Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich, gutes Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis

Kein kostenloser, kostengünstiger Parkplatz in der Nähe

Locatie, dichtbij trein

Het matras zakte naar het midden

Room was comfortable and really clean. Breakfast was substantial and well presented

It was a bit too noisey for me over looking busy road

Excellent location opposite the station and 2 minutes walk to the beach. A parking permit is provided for a £10 deposit. The car park is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and your deposit is returned on departure. The staff were fantastic, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great.

Only 1 small shelf in the bathroom. Nowhere in the shower to put shampoo or body wash etc (except the shower floor) No hooks to hang towels or dressing gowns etc The wardrobe wasn't full size so you couldn't hang dresses in it. Even my tops touched the base of it. These are small gripes that could easily be rectified.

Easy access to beach, parking and the town. Rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable.

Mycket vänliga ägare! Rummet hade allt man behövde för några nätter och läget var mycket bra för oss som åker tåg. Vi blev också serverade en god frukost.

Det saknades Wifi i frukostrummet.

Väldigt trevlig personal. Mysig pub. Stort fräscht rum.

Friendly staff and fresh cooked breakfast to order instead of a "hot" buffet.

It would have been nice to have a plain yogurt option instead of processed high sugar fruit yogurt and some veggies like cucumbers.

Great location, friendly staff good value & fantastic breakfast!

I had a lovely stay. The breakfasts were amazing. Service was lovely. Staff were helpful .

There wasn't anything

Rooms were very clean staff friendly and very helpful good breakfast nice shower

Nothing really

Brilliant location very friendly staff

All good

Easy to find and very friendly welcome. Pleasant room. Excellent breakfast. In exchange for a deposit guests get a parking permit for a car park just a few minutes away - but be aware to take the right-hand lane at the traffic lights! The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the town and the adjoining bar is a bonus. I appreciated the advice about going to Nothe Fort and the times at which the bridge opens.

Simple but comfortable and clean accommodation in an excellent location, very close to the beach and the railway station. Excellent breakfast.

Nothing. It is a little dated but it was clean and comfortable

really lovely staff and a great breakfast cooked to order. check in was at the pub attached so it was helpful being able to have a later one

Location

Hard pillows

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, clean, comfortable room, breakfast was delicious 😋

I liked the fact that the owner was keen to help with any issues raised and breakfast was delicious

.

Great location to the sea front, and close to the railway station.rhe people were very freindly, and helpful

No food served at hotel,or hot drinks, apart from breakfast

It was an ideal play for our event that was goi going on for the night and also lose to the train station.

Could have done with more plumped up pillows

It’s convenient to the town centre & tram station. They also provide parking permits for the local carpark.

Nothing

Great breakfast, clean, friendly staff. Excellent value for money

Nothing stands out that's why it was our third stay here.

Good location and staff friendly

It was very basic. Room was clean but whole place needs a lick of paint. Ok for one night. Room clean

The location was ideal with the train station opposite and taxis next door ,walking distance to seafront and town. Lovey room and breakfast staff friendly

Couldn't find faults

Staff are brilliant, breakfast great, cooked fresh every morning. Room clean and tidy, shower pressure really good. 1 minute walk from railway station.

A very friendly staff. My room was clean with a comfortable bed and the en-suite facilities were likewise very clean with a shower that was easy to operate. The breakfast was very good and the staff were keen to ensure that I was extremely well catered for. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Firstly the meet and greet was excellent, my main concern was the parking which was easily resolved with a free parking permit.having a wonderful little pub as an annexe an added bonus for 2 real ale drinkers.excellent staff from front desk to kitchen.

Good size room and en suite. Hotel convenient for public transport, shops and seafront. Good choice of breakfast food.

"Free parking" entailed having a permit to use an open public car park 100 metres from the hotel. Cracked window pane in the bedroom. Squeaky bed.

Room was great ,good size and comfortable. Nice and clean with good facilities. Breakfast was cracking 👍🏻

Everything was good

Nothing

Easy access to the beach and facilities

The stairs were a problem for me , but all in all comfortable

Staff molto cordiale, colazione ottima e camera ordinata e pulita

Hotel un po' datato

Nice and clean location very good and staff were brilliant

Nothing

Breakfast was excellent there was a good choice of food, room was a good size and the staff very helpful.

Great location, nice people, good value for money which included a great breakfast

Nothing but lots of stairs

staff excellent all good

I had problems with the stairs, but everyone was very helpful I did not notice ,no lift when I booked.

The person we support, said she would like to come back

Nothing

Very friendly staff, good breakfast, good location.

The place was very tired, the bed very uncomfortable and the shower had very little power, more of a dribble

Location was ideal , nice breakfast and really people

Great location, comfy beds, fantastic breakfast, great shower, friendly staff.

I chose to stay at the Clifton Hotel because of its location, immediately opposite the railway station and taxi rank - both of which I needed to use. The exterior of the building and the environment are a bit scruffy, but inside the hotel part of the building everything seemed to be clean and tidy, and provided everything I wanted. I asked for an early breakfast on my second day and that was provided willingly.

I could not get the remote controls for the television in my room to work, but that may be due to my lack of technological knowledge. Perhaps some basic instructions can be provided in the hotel information folder.

Breakfast and location

Couldnt find the entrance to the hotel and car parking was away from hotel

Friendly, even above a pub not too noisy after 12.30pm. Clean. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff & excellent breakfast.

Proximity to all facilities was excellent.

Could be a little noisy in a morning due to it being next to the train station but it was no major problem. It didn't really disturb us and it was quiet at night.

Location nice people good breakfast
