Guardian Guest House

The purpose of this hotel is to be directly in front of the Pyramids with an amazing view. It absolutely delivers on this. There isn't really a restaurant or bar or anything (there is a breakfast), but if your goal is wake up to a view of the Pyramids this place absolutely delivers at an amazing price. The rooftop view is also incredible. There are other restaurants (and a bar) nearby, but if your goal is to have a once in a lifetime view of the Pyramids from your room this is spectacular.

Rooms are quite basic and there is no real restaurant, but this was not a downside for me - we got exactly what we were looking for and everything else you might want is nearby. Fantastic once in a lifetime stay.

The staff are kind and helpful and the location is superb!

Fantastic location, fantastic staff, great price.

The location was right across from the pyramids - the photos don't do it justice, this place has one of the best views of the pyramids from the rooms and the rooftop area where you can sit and have meals. Breakfast is served each morning by the lovely family that own this place. They go the extra mile into making sure you're well taken care of. The rooms were clean, we felt safe (we are 4 women travelling from NZ) and I would highly recommend this accommodation. Thank you Guardian Guest House for your brilliant hospitality :)

An absolutely amazing stay! The host was incredibly professional, polite, and welcoming. Every morning we enjoyed a fresh, delicious breakfast with a variety of options. We truly appreciated the wonderful hospitality and the flexibility to store our luggage after check-out. To top it all off, the views of the Pyramids and the Sphinx from both our room and the rooftop terrace were simply breathtaking. Highly recommended!

Le personnel, la vue sur les pyramides

+ Best views of the Giza pyramids ever, from the room and the terrace (top floor) + The room was clean + Staff were excellent hosts. They will make you feel welcome at all times + Location is next to the pyramids entrance and ticket office + Very good breakfast + Lovely terrace to chill out and see the sunset over the pyramids

- I was missing having a kettle on my room Below points are NO responsibility of the hotel, therefore I am not blaming them for: - The noise is extreme at any time of day or night (even during Ramadan). You can get some ear plugs from the reception. - The camel/horse sh!t smell was at moments very strong

Posizione e gentilezza

Uitzicht! Zeer vriendelijke eigenaren, heel behulpzaam. Heerlijk ontbijt.

Very near to Giza pyramids back gate. The view from the stay to Giza pyramids is awesome. Rooms were clean and staff was very helpful . Staff helped taking bags up and down during checkin/checkout.

There is construction going on next to the site and will continue at least unitl 1 AM i believe i have to say its very noisy. I think the property can't do much on this, they have provided ear plugs though .We were okay as our family is deep sleepers :D .

The sphinx is staring right at you when you look out your window. You can not get closer to the pyramids

It is loud but being right next to the pyramids it’s just going to be loud, they provide earplugs though. Giza is not the cleanest and is one of the poorer parts of town.

View was amazing and less than 2 minutes walk to sphinx gate. Staff friendly Relaxed rooftop area

Construction work outside window very late at night Beds are hard (but most in Egypt are)

The location can’t be better. Under the gaze of the Sphinx and with a clear view of the Pyramids. Comfortable, clean rooms, fabulous breakfast. Very kind and helpful people. If you come to Giza, this is the place to stay.

Very convenient location, great for sightseeing

Good location

Very upsetting experience with one staff member. At checkout 10 am, because there was no elevator, I had to carry my heavy luggage downstairs by myself. The suitcase made some noise when touching the stairs, which was hard to avoid. However, one older lady staff member kept complaining that I was making too much noise. I was wearing slippers and she said my footsteps were too loud ,other people were sleeping. She repeated this to me three times and also complained about me to another staff member in front of me. What made it feel worse was that she was very friendly to two white guests, but treated me very differently. I found lots of posts indicated they have rude staffs on Chinese social media and I know why now. It felt disrespectful and discriminatory.

The Guardian Guest House is the perfect place to stay when visiting Giza, Saqqara and Dashur. My 9-night stay was my second stay at this great hotel. The kindness and hospitality of the staff once again made my stay in Giza an amazing experience. Located directly in front of the Giza pyramids you get to wake up to a view of the sphinx and pyramids every morning and watch the sun set, over the pyramids in the evening. The hotel is ideally located directly across the road from the Giza Pyramid entry and ticket booth. My room was large, very clean with satellite TV, fridge and a view of the pyramids and sphinx. The roof top terrace provides amazing panoramic view to watch the sunsets over the pyramids. The hotel provides an excellent big breakfast each morning. The hotel can organise a car for visits to Saqqara and Dashur if needed. Ask for Mohamad (Tony) who is a great driver, he is local to Giza and really knows his way around. If you are planning to visit the Giza pyramids. This hotel gets 10/10 the highest rating I’ve ever given to any hotel before.

Location . Nice view of the pirámides

The view of pirámides and the terraza

I cannot speak highly enough of the welcome I got at 11:30 pm. The hosts are awesome. The view is unbelievable especially for what you pay to stay here. Breakfast was great. I just felt really looked after and comfortable if you are on a budget travelling around, I want to see the pyramids. I highly highly recommend this place.

It’s a small negative but it is a noisy road lots of beeping lots of dogs barking. You are provided with earplugs but you can still hear the noise through that. This is expected when travelling of course but it is just one small warning to you light sleepers out there.

rien

非常好

L’emplacement et la gentillesse du personnel !

Wonderful stay with a kind family who were always available for whatever help we needed. We felt very safe and secure here. Amazing views of the pyramids from our room and from the rooftop. We enjoyed breakfast here each morning. We also appreciated being able to refill our water when needed.

We had a truly lovely stay here. The room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable, and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The location was perfect close to everything, yet still peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

That i could’t stay longer :)

This is a very basic place which is reflected in the price. It is clean, the staff are very helpful, and the views are fantastic. Breakfast is included and very acceptable.

Old plumbing. Having to put used toilet paper in a bin rather than down the toilet.

Wonderful view, a clean room, an excellent restaurant, and very polite staff.

Perfect location, clean room, good value for money. The breakfast can be taken to the rooftop with amazing pyramid view. Simple room with beautiful view of the Great Pyramids.

Nothing. I didn’t stay. I was outside the hotel for 2hours. No one answered the phone number provided. Rang the bell severally. After waiting for 2hrs with the taxi guy, someone finally answered the bell. He was asleep. The building smelled terrible. Dilapidated. I paid for a room with the view. I was offered a hostel room with 3beds. Nothing about it is good. The pictures on Booking is fake!!!!! Guardian Guest house looked nothing close to the pictures. It’s a shame that Booking will allow such scam to happen on their site. I demand a refund. I was scammed with fake pictures.

Everything. The ofour. The old dilapidated building of hostel. Everything is a mess!!!!!

The stand out thing here is the view! You come to Egypt for the pyramids, you will have a front row view to them! And the window in my room opened fully up so just amazing to lay on my bed eye to eye with the Sphinx. For such a low price that was just incredible.

It's a bit old and weathered but the staff were friendly, breakfast was appreciated and everything I needed was there.

Breakfast was basic but ok Location was excellent.

we choose this hotel for good window view, which can see pyramids and sphinx directly from the room.

-checked with staff where can we park our car while arrived, he told us there is parking area nearby which is free, while we try to park there, Local thugs want to charge us parking fees, we asked hotel manager to communicate with him. the manager be company with us to talk with him, the thug starting to talk in chinese like " okey you can park for free but you need to leave tips to me, otherwise I don't know what will happended to your car" the manager told us this guy will watch out our car overnight, please leave tips to him....my female friend is the driver, she was so angry and scary after this, suggest to choose hotel in other area instead of Giza, this area is too complicate for parking. - this is old building without lift, if you travel with big suitcase may not be a good idea. -a little bit pricey for this kind of room condition.

the best view to the Pyramids from the room and from the rooftop; clean, good personal, you can take a transfer from the airport.

Only good thing was location

Smells like garbage in the hallway We found mud in one of breakfasts jam Bedsheets was very old It was a construction right in front of hotel working at night and we could not sleep

I couldn't recommend enough of this place to anyone. The hotel is right in front of the pyramids providing you the view overlooking the pyramids from the bed. Very close to the entrance. The owner is really helpful and the place is clean.

N/A

The location is perfect, the staff friendly and facility was clean. Great value.

Construction outside, which isn't anyone's fault!

It has an excellent view of the Giza pyramids. The staff were so very helpful and helped me arrange a driver to Saqqara , Muslim area and the Citadel. I had a short time to see the sites in Cairo and this helped tremendously with logistics.

There is construction across the street. Mahmoud told me it was construction from the government. There is not much the hotel can do about this but just bring good earplugs.

Wonderful

Pyramids view from the double room (103) was breathtaking. Don’t waste time to look for other hotels if you want to see amazing Pyramids view but just book it here with pyramids view room. It’s just right front of Sfinx and there is nothing to disturb between hotels and Pyramids. Also room is renovated and everything is new, clean and spacious. Bathroom has also with small bathtub and shower curtain so it won’t get wet in the bathroom. There are safety box, refrigerator, shampoo and shower gel and enough rolls of toilet papers.

Wifi is weak but it’s common issues in this area of GIZA. I suggested to owner brothers to update with new rooms photos in the booking site. As it looks much better in real than the old photos used in the website.

Excellent pyramid view from room. New renovated rooms.

Little bit small wash rooms.

Everything was great! The staff were friendly and helpful. The accommodations were as expected. I really enjoyed the views from the balcony and terrace.

All went good.

The location was perfect and the view was magnificent. The bathroom was also great too.

Lack of wifi
