Hillview B&B

Expedia screwed up, she has been closed since January due to her husband being ill and they never canceled us or let us know. Miss Maureen was so sweet and made calls to make sure we had a place to stay since everywhere was booked (it’s busy season) one of her friends had space for us and made sure we were well taken care of!

Perfect in almost every aspect. Maureen was the ultimate host. Transport to town is required. Highly recommend the local Porter House for food and Renville park for walks.

Our hostess Maureen was just lovely. It was at the top of our list of places we stayed in Ireland. Home is clean and inviting. Beds are amazing and you can heat them too. We stayed for 2 nights and very comfortable and cozy. Maureen in also a good cook, we enjoyed our breakfast very much. This is a great place to stay and the next time I am in Ireland I will book here

Maureen was a lovely host who greeted us with a handshake on our arrival and departure. Conveniently located just outside of Galway City without all the hustle and bustle of the city. The full Irish breakfast was delicious and a good start to the day. Would stay again in a minute. Best regards.

Absolutely amazing stay at Hillview!

The property was lovely. The owner was friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Irish Breakfast sensational. Rooms a very small and one of our bathrooms a real struggle to use (couldn't!). Go for the larger downstairs rooms. Close to Galway. Morning traffic horrendous!!!

Perfect spot for a quick stopover! Clean room with lovely beds and a nice shower. Wonderful, full Irish breakfast in the morning. Our hosts were so welcoming and helpful.

Nice, friendly owner, clean house and lovely breakfast. Hostess Maureen will make you very welcome.

Overall a great place to stay the night just a little too close to the highway so there was a lot of road traffic all night long

Martha was nice and the breakfast was good. The beds were ok and the shower small.

Nice b&b outside of Galway. Maureen was a friendly host. Good place to lay your head if spending a day in Galway and want a clean and quiet place that is reasonably priced.

Like most Irish properties, there is no street number, a bit hard to find. Someone suggested input post code in GPS, may work better. This place was on the Wild Atlantic Way - the other side of Moneymore Road ! Most friendly hostess who served up a substantial breakfast. Book a bigger ground floor room is you are staying more than 1 night !

Room was comfortable and breakfast was great.

Bonne etape a Galway, super petit dejeuner, un peu bruyant (donne sur la nationale)

We had the best stay! Maureen makes you immediately feel like family. This place exudes warmth and love. The owner even customizes your breakfast preference (which is delicious!) It’s also a short drive to Galway. We will be talking about our stay here for years to come. Truly an unforgettable experience.

Owner was friendly and helped us find a great park close by.

Maureen was absolutely lovely and showed us such wonderful hospitality! She’s a great cook and a bright and beautiful personality! ❤️❤️

We booked the Hillview for two nights for our trip to Galway. We were not surprised with it as it was publicised as a home from home and it certainly was. Very comfortable with a great breakfast. Lovely host who made us very welcome.

We appreciated the helpful and responsive host, the clean and comfortable room, the free and easy parking, and the home-cooked breakfast! Very convenient location for our drive toward southwest Ireland.

Lovely 2 night stay. Host was very accommodating and friendly Comfortable room Delicious food and very clean

Maureen was a lovely, personable and friendly host. A lovely stay and great breakfast at the property. Close into town to drive or taxi. Great location!

The room was well decorated and clean. Owners were friendly and helpful.

Cheapest place in the Galway area. It's basic but not tastefully basic. Mattresses and sheets seems like they got it from a flea market. Every door squeaks when used. The breakfast is ok and the hostess serves it professionally. The private bathroom was outside the room which defeated the purpose for privacy.

Friendly, clean, and good breakfast. Easy driving to Galway and Aran Islands.

Maureen was the perfect friendly host who I would trust for anything. Such kindness.

Eskerrik asko!!! Everything extragood and well

The host was very accommodating and even gave us a ride into town so we could enjoy our evening without worrying about driving back. The place was very nice. Our Irish breakfast was spectacular.

Great place to stay. Hostess was very kind and helpful.

Super clean and cozzy 5 to 10 min yo restaurants

Room was clean. Host was friendly and offered suggestions of things to do. We enjoyed the traditional Irish breakfast and brown bread.

It was like staying in a friend's home. We were invited to use the lounge. As it was a bungalow our room was on the ground floor. The lady owner welcomed us when we arrived. The food was excellent. She made sure she had the goat my husband required. She had even bought him some goat cheese. Excellent service.

Lovely b&b, Maureen made you feel very welcome. The room/bathroom was a little small but I wasn’t there to spend time in the room. It’s a short drive from town with plenty of restaurants.

The proprietor was awesome. She was very friendly, informative, and wanted to ensure we were comfortable

Great!

This was my very first b&b! As soon as my boyfriend and I walked in the arroma was so cozy and inviting, just like my grandmother's home! The owner Maureen greeted us with such a warm Irish welcome. Our bedroom and bathroom was so quant and super tidy. Morning breakfast was spot on delicious! I'll never forget her fresh Irish soda bread. Thank you so much Maureen we will sure visit you again soon!

Me and my friend had an amazing experience here and highly recommend it! They were very helpful and kind and made us feel right at home in a foreign country! The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic!

It's very clean and the owners are very nice people, they pick from the station to the BnB everytime I go in and out.which is very convenient for us who don't use cars

Clean room however quite small room with a very small en-suite toilet. No tea coffee facilities in the room. The property is situated next to a very busy road so traffic noise is an issue. Very friendly host. Don't accept cards, charged 5 euros more than advertised by expedia.

Lady of house was charming and helpful. Great breakfast. would return.

I got a lovely welcome from Maureen. She has a lovely B&B. Very clean and comfortable. Her breakfast was the nicest I have ever had.. She was very helpful with directions and places to see nearby

The room and ensuite was very small. Wouldn't suit a larger person. No dressing table, just a long mirror which was very dusty. Breakfast was very poor.Road traffic noise. Hosts were very welcoming.

Cannot rate this stay high enough . Welcome and service was brilliant. Will definitely be recommending to family and friends

Had a lovely stay in Hillview. Maureen was so friendly and helpful. Beautiful house with a beautiful hostess. Immaculately clean. Would highly recommend.

Everything was great, great food, lovely room, can't wait to go back.

Excellent hosts went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. Recommended.

Maureen, the owner, was delightful and took care of our every need. We really enjoyed our stay with her.

Our host, Maureen, was very kind and made great breakfast. She made excellent recommendation for dinner in nearby smaller town (not Galway). The room/bathroom was fine and clean. Location was a little confusing because there is more than 1 Hillview B&B in Ireland.

Nice clean and comfortable room. Maureen was just so sweet and accommodating. Very quiet location despite being near a busy road. Breakfast was delicious too. Would not hesitate to stay here again

Very friendly hostess Maureen who greeted us with such a lovely smile and attention to our settling in. Lodgings good and food excellent.

Stayed 9 nights. Maureen and Gabe are wonderful hosts who went beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. Breakfast made to order and was excellent every day. Great place to stay for exploring Cliffs of Moher, Galway, and up to Connemara National Park. Town of Oranmore is very convenient.

This is a wonderful B&B located close to Oranmor and very convenient to getting a bus into Galway, which made visiting easy. The proprietors were welcoming, helpful, and full of Irish charm. The room was comfortable with a.much appreciated hot pot for afternoon or evening tea. I highly recommend.

Great stay, outside of the city which allows for an early start drive to Dublin or elsewhere avoiding the morning traffic. Close enough to go into town if you have a car.

great stay for the $$$. Nice quaint little town nearby and close to Galway. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast.

Lovely room and comfy bed. Nice location and very close to Galway. Maureen was so friendly & accommodating! Hot breakfast was a real treat to start off the day. Thank you so much for having us as guests.

Cleanest B&B I have ever stayed in! Breakfast was great, and Maureen was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it!

We had the room with en suite, low water pressure in shower. TV was not working, but so fee channels it didnt matter. Postage size TV was too small for room. Maureen, our host was very nice, gave us good tios for eating.

Fantastic place to stay. Rooms are fresh and clean. very friendly atmosphere. Service is second to none. choice for breakfast is great and breakfast was delicious. Definitely will stay again if I am in the area

Ideal for stayover oranmore 5 min away by car room clean and ideal breakfast lovely thank you maureen also animal friendly

In a good location and easy to find. Although it is on a busy main road you DO NOT hear the traffic at all. Lovely hosts and a full cooked breakfast. A bonus was having an electric blanket.

Lovely and clean with a great host. Comfy bed with electric blanket!

We enjoyed staying at Hillside. Great location easy drive to Galway

The owner was perfect. We didnt have a car and she set us up a bus tour that picked us up at her bnb. The tour and everything was fabulous. Would stay again.

Maureen was wonderful. Breakfast was great

Comfortable and quiet. Good location. Easy to find. Landlord was particularly friendly and chatty. We had a few laughs.

Warm welcome, Great breakfast Good WiFi Room a little bit small with two separate beds Private bathroom but on the other side of the floor

No Wifi.

Very friendly atmosphere and the hostess was very knowledgeable of the area. Great food and servicw.

Very friendly welcome but not intrusive. Lovely breakfast- just as requested.

Nice quiet location despite being on the main N67 Good host with nothing being too much trouble. Invited into the living room for a free pot of tea and biscuits on arrival which was most welcome. The owner certainly provides a good breakfast. Only observation would be that if you are on the large size be aware the en-suite in our room was quite small. Ireland now have postcodes but don't rely on this one from postcode.ie. you will get lost. It is located on the main N67 between Oranmore and Clarinbridge which I believe used to be the N18. (Ireland have cunningly renumbered many of their main roads). Just stay on the main road and you will find it.

Loved staying here. Maureen is a very welcome, gracious and helpful host. After checking in she offers us wonderful tips for our afternoon of shopping and dining. Breakfast was made to Order and delicious! From there to Gatwick easy 2 hour drive on the motorway.

Despite our very late arrival the host was very welcoming. The host made us feel at home and asked us what we wanted for breakfast which I thought was a nice touch.

We have stayed in many places this trip to Ireland. This was the most welcoming. Food was first rate room nice, place spotless. Tops!

Reasonable stopover after Moher. Friendly host. Offered afternoon tea when we arrived early. Room a bit cramped for 2 pax, though. But comfy otherwise.

Lovely lady greeted us, couldn’t have been nicer. Breakfast was perfect, we could have what we wanted.

Galway was extra-busy because of the Oyster Festival. We got caught in a horrendous Fri. afternoon traffic jam, so were delighted to stay and ate well in Oranmore instead. Maureen was very helpful when we had questions, and even made a reservation for us at Morans for dinner one night.

Welcomed by friendly staff and had a relaxed visit to attractions

Place was very clean breakfast was great. But unfortunately first night was freezing no heating on and then when we were departing and ready to pay we were told no debit cards just cash in hand lucky enough we had English money on us.

Great breakfast. Attentive host. Only markdown is shower too weak.

Very good pleasant! I will go there again

Great host. Made us feel very welcome even though we arrived in the evening and left the next morning. Would definitely recommend.

Very hospitable. Would return anytime.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Hillview B&B! Maureen is one of the nicest persons we have ever met! She was so helpful to us in getting around, and with directions to everything, she was the best! Gabriel her husband, was also very helpful! Our room was spotless and very comfortable! Breakfast was delicious, very filling! Everything was great, and she really made us feel welcomed when we were there! We highly recommend Hillview B&B!

perfect B&B Host was very helpful and friendly! Location was out of the was of the busy town, just what we wanted but Also close to the main Highway!

Maureen was a pleasant lady and helpful.

The room was great, the owner was wonderful and breakfast was delicious. The only negative is that its about a 20minute drive from Galway, which is frustrating when most of the dinner options are in Galway. We used the location however as a good home base to travel around and return to every night.

Maureen and Gabriel were terrific hosts! Great food, great room, great experience!!!

The Hosts were helpful and kind. The living room was cozy well lit and nice place to work on computer and watch t.v. The breakfast was adequate. For the price this is a great choice for anyone. Conveniently located to Galway attractions....Very Clean, lovely appointed home.

We stayed two nights in Hillview B&B. The rooms were very clean, breakfast was fabulous and Maureen is a lovely welcoming lady. I would recommend Hillview to anyway visiting Galway as it is ideally located with amazing views.

Lovely garden and comfortable stay. Host was so helpful.

Maureen is an excellent hostess, the property is nice, easy to find and breakfast was great. The two twin bed room itself was quite small but comfortable once we rearranged to fit out luggage. Our room had a private bathroom directly across the hall with its own key. The bath was larger than we normally expect for a B&B. Very clean and in excellent condition.

B&B is a bit dated. Room was large enough, en-suite bath was very tight and felt like a converted closet. Area was unseasonably cold, room was a chilly, but heated blanket helped. Building is just off major roadway, but almost no vehicular noise at night. Host was gracious and very helpful. Breakfast was great. Stay was refreshing and quiet overall. Worth you stay for the money.

A great location and lovely friendly family

we just spent one night here the breakfast was absolutely delicious the room was neat tidy clean a just a little small but that didn't matter

Très bon accueil, Tout est neuf, chambre propre, salle de bain propre, télévision dans la chambre Très bien niveau confort et tranquilité, petit déjeuner simple mais très bien (à volonté) Super séjour, je recommande vivement ce b&b

We so enjoyed our stay at Hillview! Our room was comfortable and well supplied. Breakfast was excellent. Maureen (and Gabriel) went out of her way to make us feel at home. She gave us great advice about the area, where to shop, get clothing laundered, and a shortcut to the Dingle peninsula that saved us a really long drive. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Excellent place to stay. Maureen, the owner of the B&B is a very friendly person. I used her laptop twice to send emails to my family as I forgot mine. Breakfast was great and the room was very clean and lovely linen. I highly recommend this place to anybody planning to visit Galway. Great work Maureen.

We recently stayed at Hillview B&B and found Maureen's hospitality to be wonderful, very helpful, especially with local knowledge. Our stay was comfortable and room lovely. Breakfast was also lovely. Loved our stay & would come back.

located on a main road but not a problem very good hosts.

Our stay at Hillview B&B was just the way we hoped it would be. Each of the rooms are comfortable with their own themes. Our holiday allowed for us to see many different kinds of B&B's and Guesthouses and Hillview was one of the best places we stayed at. The hostess was fantastic and provided a wonderful breakfast and was very friendly and kind to us. Though they are 15 minutes away from Galway city centre, it was well worth our time.

We were very pleased with the friendliness of the owner, the hospitality, and the comfort. Delicious Irish breakfast also! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Ireland.
