Reviewed Sep 16, 2026The location was perfect to walk to the pub that evening. The hosts were very accomendating. We were very tired when we arrived and the hosts recommended walking distance places to have our dinner. They even asked what they could do to make our evening easier. Our family agreed that we wish we had been able to stay an additional night to enjoy the peaceful location. As an added bonus, there is a lovely balconey that we sat on just to enjoy the close of the day.

The rooms had some well though-out finishing touches in the decoration and utensils such as a hairdryer, hand cream, etc. The nearby town is located at a walking distance and offers some nice restaurant options. The breakfast was excellent: it had the usual buffet of yoghurt, fruit, bread etc. and a possibility to order a warm plate from the breakfast menu list.

Reviewed Sep 8, 2026Firstly, Michael and Anne were absolutely lovely! Their home was beautifully decorated and clean. Breakfast was lovely and the rooms were serviced daily. The room was spacious and the bathroom was spacious with a good sized shower. Fantastic location. Not to close to the hustle and bustle of the city. Yet, only a 5 minute walk to an assortment of restaurants. Parking available was a bonus. Great place to base yourself while exploring the west coast.

Niets viel tegen. De kamer die wij gebookt hadden is wat klein, dat wisten we. Maar het ontbrak ons aan niets.

The room is a little tight, but that is pretty normal for Europe. Would have loved to stay in the apartment, but it was booked.

Reviewed Sep 1, 2026Eine ganz klare 10😀. Diese Unterkunft wird mit soviel Liebe geführt, dass man dies bei seinem Aufenthalt spürt und mitnimmt. Ann und Michael sind absolut gute Gastgeber und tun alles, dass man sich wohl fühlt. Sehr gute Lage, nur 10min zu Fuß zu den guten Restaurants und perfekter Ausgangspunkt für alle Aktivitäten. Ann‘s Frühstück ist sensationell egal was man bestellt.

There was a great variety of homemade dishes which were absolutely delicious, and the homemade scones were the best. Die Lage am Ortsrand ist ok. Man hört bei offenem Fenster etwas die Straße. Das ist aber minimal. Wir konnten dennoch sehr gut schlafen.

Il pannel all’ingresso offre curiosità su escursioni ecc la titolare da un sacco di indicazioni per cosa fare e dove mangiare. Al mattino vi svegliate con un profumo di colazione (di casa), le alternative di scelta come colazione sono tutte buonissime ma un plus va ai pancake i miei favoriti!

Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straße, dadurch Verkehrslärm. Auch hörten wir die Pumpe, wenn jemand duschte usw.

Michael and Anne are fantastic hosts and on hand with recommendations for places to eat, drink and visit. The breakfast choice was extensive and really appreciated the fact my gluten free needs were catered to. Anne's home made scones were fabulous. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. If you're looking to stay in Oranmore don't go passed this B&B.

Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich. Es war alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Wir waren 2 Nächte dort und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Could do with a sign on the gate and / or door to confirm you are at the right location. There is a sign on the main road but then you have to use the picture of the house to confirm, ok if you are with someone but awkward if it's just you and you're driving. Minor thing, but it would help.

Breakfast was well organised, with an excellent choice, presented in a charming conservatory overlooking the garden. Situated well, a mini market across the road, and within walking distance to centre of village with usual amenities.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2026Schönes, grosses Zimmer mit guter Einrichtung inklusive vieler Details die man eher in einem 4*** Hotel erwarten würde (Pflegeprodukte, grosses Teesortiment). Super Frühstück: man wählt am Vorabend eine warme Hauptspeise aus und dazu gibt es ein grosses Buffet. Parkmöglichkeit direkt vor dem Hause. Sehr nette, zuvorkommende & unkomplizierte Gastgeber. Da wir erst nach der regulären Checkin-Zeit angekommen wären, konnten wir den Zimmerschlüssel schon um 11.00 Uhr abholen. Danke Micheal & Ann!
Die Wände sind etwas dünn & ringhörig. Man hört die Schritte von den Leuten von den oberen Stockwerken und die Gespräche im Treppenhaus. Da die Gäste aber sehr rücksichtsvoll sind, ist es ok.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026We loved our stay at Oranhill Lodge! The rooms were beautiful, beds comfortable and the hosts are amazing! We had breakfast in the sunny breakfast room and it was delicious. The hosts were so thoughtful. When they found out the night before we were celebrating birthdays, our breakfast was topped off with a lovely birthday cake, complete with singing. :) The house is in a perfect location to walk into town for dinner and there are tons of great restaurants to choose from. Just outside the hustle and bustle of Galway if you prefer a quieter place. Would most definitely stay here again!

Les chambres sont spacieuses, très propres et la localisation est idéale pour aller visiter Galway ou faire une boucle dans le comté du Connemara ou de Clare (Falaise de Moher). Un petit déjeuner delicieux et copieux dans un environnement chaleureux. Bref très bon séjour.
