The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small but clean, with staff cleaning room daily. Good location at very base of Long Hill up to Sacre Coure, walkable.
We were created by a quiet but efficient desk manager. Check in was quick and friendly. The room was comfortable and modern. The desk was helpful with answering our questions and arranging transportation to the airport at checkout. A good value.
Great area - very poor hotel. No facilities whatsoever. Taps ready to fall off basin and flood bathroom. Shower hook broken. Carpets threadbare. Strong smell of sewage in corridor and bathroom from time to time. Avoid
Perfect for its size
Really nice
Friendly and accommodating
This hotel needs a complete overhaul, from the moment we got to our room the door lock was booked, then the walls and ceiling were mouldy and water damaged, the carpet was threadbare and only one shutter opened on the window. The shower stopped working while using and then came on and scalded you. The hook that held the shower up was broken. Metal corner trim on the wall was hanging out and scraped my leg. The bed sheet as much as it was clean it was torn The area is a little scary of an evening.
This is the best option for the location, reasonably priced and friendly staff
The staff was very nice and helpful. Carpet not very nice, extra bed broken, shower leaked. Location was ok. Just old and would really benefit from remodeling. But, was a lower price and we made it work.
So much mould in our room due to shower leaks and rotting carpet. Smallest bathroom, could hardly close the door if you were inside. Fantatic location.
Clean room and bathroom and nice staff
No air-conditioning, water is dripping in the showers, the ceiling has a water stained dripping and it appears its peeling off
It’s in the area we wanted to stay. It is a little run down and there was so issues with our shower(water going all over the bathroom). The room was clean as was the washroom.
The problem is always expectations. I expected a three star hotel. But what I didn't realize is that a terrible run down motel in the United States is equivalent to a three star hotel in Paris. In Paris, things are soo crowded that it takes 30 minutes for Uber to take you somewhere two miles away. This may seem like a central location but it is not. We arrived at night, the place seemed dangerous. Lots of people who looked like they were on drugs or up to no good were loitering around. However, in the morning, no one was around. There were lots of people going for jogs, a nice little park thing in the middle of the street for more jogging, cool cobblestone roads, etc. it was nice compared to the night before. The hotel itself is very run down (in my opinion) but I have nothing to compare it to. The room was small. The stairs on the 3rd floor were missing beams so my daughter could fall through them if not careful. We stayed on the second floor where the beams were not missing but my parents were on floor three. Like two to three blocks down, there are some nice shops and the really nice places start, so that is a plus. The staff there was great. Very nice and helpful.
PROS: good size room, large bed (at least queen size), great location (close to sacre Coer, places to eat, metro), helpful staff (they booked us a taxi to the airport), 24hr reception, decent wifi. CONS: beautiful reception but our room was very run down. Air con did not work (but they had provided a fan), large bald patch on carpet, water damaged ceiling (and signs of water damage around the hotel in general). All in all though, it was okay for the price and I would stay again.
Broken air conditioner and broken TV
Property very dirty, a room not big enough for one double bed fitted with 2 beds and called "Family Room", carpet disgusting dirty, first night room not cleaned because "the maid was sick, what you want", all furniture's rotten, the worst hotel I ever been in my life, concierge said "what do you expect, this is Paris" ????????? NOT SUGGESTED AT ALL - AVOID IT!
Good
The staff were cooperative and responsive. The room was clean but, the shower door was broken. The toilet tissue holder was broken. However, with the price, i would say its overall okay
Staff is friendly and welcoming. The room that we had was very hot, we had a fan to cool it down, that helped to some extent. Room carpet is worn out, the walls have stains of water damage and there is no shower cabin, just the shower head fixed to the wall; whenever the shower is used, the whole bathroom is getting soaked and the water is seeping into the room (resulting in the floor being molded). Also, noisy area, facing a high traffic street. The breakfast was good though. Lots of restaurants in the area.
It's a very old property. The rooms were too small for a queen size bed. No air conditioning. When inquired about it, we were told that Expedia was notified about it but the latter has not removed it from their website. There were electric fans. The staff were good and very accommodative.
The concierges of the hotel were incredibly accommodating and sympa. Hotel clean and serviced daily. Location of hotel excellent.
Perfect location. Metro and supermarket very closeby. Tourist attractions closeby. Room is rundown but clean. So perfect is you prefer location over luxury, for a fair price.
Every night there was too much noise. People were partying. It is a very busy neighbourhood. I appreciated that they let us an early check in. But overall condition was very poor. I guess you get what you pay for but a few facts that were disappointing were - 1. The window was damaged and it seemed it was shot or something. 2. No air conditioner in the room. 3. Elevator was broken for two days. 4. When we were checking out the receptionist made us wait and he went upstairs to check the room I guess to make sure we didn't steal anything. I didn't like that at all. I liked also that it was close to everything but if you are with your family stay away because it is too noisy. Overall I guess it was too expensive of what we got. I wouldn't pay that much for such a hotel. Even though it is considered that it is not expensive for Paris. But I'd pay more to have something better.
We
Room is very old and out dated. Floor was uneven.
It was very cheap with a great location. But you get what you pay for.
The hotel would need a big update and a lot of refreshing.
The staff was amazing, so friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and had what we needed. It was close to lots of shopping, restaurants and metro. We stayed 7 nights and usually took a taxi to where we wanted to go and staff called for us. We often went to McDonalds in the morning at 9:00 for breakfast 2 blocks down. Price for our stay was amazing. Not a modern, updated hotel, but great for the price! We would return. We have stayed in many 3, 4 & 5 star hotels, so know what a perfect place can cost. It was only 3-4 blocks from Sacre Coeur, and 15 minutes by taxi (depending on traffic) to city center.
Please send me an email address I can contact you to get my deposit back. Thanks
Our stay at Regina Hotel was excellent – very comfortable and enjoyable throughout. And staff and services was also good. I fully recommend this hotel.
It's a great value for money hotel with convenient location
Not like the pictures. There is no balcony view or city view according to staff. Toilet didnt flush, stains on floor, paint not completed on walls, hearing pidegons all night because nest right by the window. No way to phone from room to front desk. Due to lack of professionalism, other guest were rude as well and angry in this hotel
Great location right by sacre-coeur. The lobby was very nice, clean and modern. The rooms felt a bit shabby, small, carpeted floors but there was a window & the room served its purpose and had everything we needed including a little refrigerator. Although outdated, you could tell they put effort into recent renovations, we had a new sink in our private bathroom. I had read a few reviews prior to booking that made me nervous, but we had no problem with our $50euro deposit return (we gave cash & got it back in person upon check-out). If you come here romanticizing paris and expecting luxury, this place will disappoint you. But if you just need an affordable place to stay in a good location, then you will be pleased
near shopping bus train tour foods
This hotel is greatly located in Pigalle 5mins walk from metro 2 and 12 which will get you to key tourist attractions for single trip of 2.50 euros and unlike London the public transport there do not accept debit card on or before your journey so buy the tickets available at the machines in the stations or from newsagents. The Sacre Coure is actually behind the hotel with many side roads (be careful the cobble roads are not for people with walking problems or pushchairs tbh) The staff were friendly however I booked two single beds only to be assigned the most smallest and dirtiest double bed/room. It was very outdated and in urgent need of repair the bed was broken and the shower door faulty. The property owner really needs to improve on the interior as it’s a matter of safety for paying guests. I’m not sure if this would pass in the UK but for a budget trip it was just passable as I travelled around main Paris tourist sites so it was ok. Gare du Nord a 20 min or less walk away. Location is good more suited to backpackers and budget trippers. Breakfast was minimal and basic. I would recommend but you get what you pay for especially as it’s Paris and you are a 5mins from a major tourist attraction.
Surrounding area great, the hotel itself really needs upgrading. Even staff try to maintain clean it just looked very dirty and old. Staff are super friendly.
It's normal
The conditions of the bed was really a desaster I had a back pain, the mattress was curved in the middle.
Basic room is BASIC...No space for lugages, very small. Upgrade room with peeling paint, sagging mattress, but we are in Paris ....
We had to wait for a good 10 minutes before a receptionist turned up but then check in was straight forward. The room was good enough, although there was only a kettle (no cups or glasses etc) I went back to reception and got cups and cutlery but nothing else (no tea, coffee, sugar) which was weird. We didn't pay a lot so weren't expecting a lot but it was better than our expectations and it's location was perfect.
Nothing
The hotel is what it it is it's clean could do with up dating there was no tea or coffee and the cleaner was basic never made the beds etc... But the people was lovely and we felt very looked after at all times
The property is old and very run down. Mould in bathroom, dirty carpet generally run down. It serves a purpose, it’s cheap and has a bed.
Hotel was great. Located conveniently next to the Metro 🚇 station. Shops and restaurants were within 5 minutes or less by walking. Two complaints I had was the bed in our room had a huge dip in the mattress and the shower was very small
毎日清掃とタオル交換をしてくださいました。フロントの方もとても親切でした。
Great location however it is a tired hotel in need of some TLC.
Stayed for 2 nights. Double room for me and my wife. Room was okay. Was clean enough. Noisy during middle of night. Cheap and cheerful for such a good location
Absolutely disappointed room was rubbish and broken, after complaining was updated to another room then hit for another 80 euros to cover there expenses, you are trapped where else does a visitor go after pre paying
Summary: - at best a 1 star hotel - room was in poor condition - damaged carpets, no extractor fan in bathroom, damaged wall paper, - felt like a bedsit / dive - walls very thin, you can hear everything - lift / elevator was working / good - a few minutes from metro - not too far from Gare du Nord - easily accessed from Airports - lots of interesting places within walking distance - a bad hotel in a good location - budget hotels should have standards, this one didn't. - i would not stay here again.
Best place to stay near Montmartre.
Extra fees, stained linen, shabby conditions.
Good location close to Gare du Nord, 15 minute walk. Hotel has no facilities. Just a very small room with tired looking fixtures and fittings. Adequate at best.
Awesome stay! Very nice play!
Convenient and easy and friendly.
Day time receptionist is not helpful at all. Room is very old and doesn't maintain. Took additional 50 euro as deposit and still didn't give it back
It was not good experience and was not good as I was aspecting. Bed was broken and bathroom was not in good condition. I will never choose type of this hotel.
The room itself, for the price, is reasonable. But not for the faint of heart. It's worth paying a little more for something better. The next morning, when my friend and I were sleeping, someone opened the door (which was locked, of course), but luckily we always leave our bags behind the door to avoid this kind of situation, and they prevented the person from entering our room. When we reported what happened to the receptionist, he arrogantly said that no one had opened the door to the room. When we returned in the afternoon, he said that he had checked the CCTV and that no one had opened our door. In other words, it was the same as saying that my friend and I were either lying or imagining things. There was no apology or anything. It could clearly have been a chambermaid or any other staff member. In short, it was not a good experience.
Rooms' carpet and bed sheets need improvement up to the standard for that range of hotels The day management need to be less arrogant and listening more. The night management is much more professionnal and caring. However, the location is great, with the Sacré Coeur nearby
This hotel is perfectly located for a quick walk to Sacre Coeur and a 2 min walk from Anvers Metro station. The concierge was very friendly and welcoming. There are boutiques nearby, a few boulangeries and several dining options. Our room was a decent size for Paris, the shower door was hanging off it's hinge which was a little concerning but otherwise we had a great stay and we highly recommend Hotel Regina.
Location in Monmatre was very good, staff were helpful and friendly, reasonably priced accommodation, but the room was small, the bed was not very comfortable and the bathroom door wouldn't close and the shower door was broken
Not very good We had two rooms Room 1 The shower door was broken, mould on sealant in there and shower was not able to move it higher as it was wobbling so thought if we moved it would fall off the wall the bed is not stable everytime moved made a sound. Was woken up by the maid on a phone call in the room opposite as could hear everything as no underlay under carpets Room 2 The water didn’t drain down the drain properly in the shower room The floor was missing from entrance to shower The wires behind fridge looked like a right bodge job! Didn’t look safe The plus side is that it was close to moulin rouge and check in staff was friendly!
This place was horrible, do run down, poor lighting so many thing s I could go on and on
Good location very closed to Sacree Coeur
It need of geberal repairs both rooms we used had broken shower doors. Out room had broken drawer in bathroom. My sons room had a dent in bathroom door tgat looked like a punch mark. The reception area lovely as new furniture from photos on web site hopefully they are working around the rooms. Vreakfast got progressively smaller each day first day had cold meat next 2 days none third day no bread. Having paid a low price for Paris I didn't worry too much about breakfast but the danage and cleanliness of stairs poor
well situated close to transport. small room. friendly helpful staff.
well situated close to transport. rooms small. staff friendly and helpful.
The walls had paint chipped and the bathroom was small for a deluxe double room
Hotels.com should be ashamed to have this hotel on their listings! Nothing was as advertised! NO a/c. A dirty fan was on nightstand, so they KNOW a/c doesn’t work! NO INTERNET! (On floors 3-5. )We were on 4th floor. They advertise full internet! Furniture was so old & falling apart. Bathroom was full of black mold. We are not hard to please people, but this was gross. Dirty threadbare carpets. Deadbolt didn’t work. We paid for a 10 night non refundable stay. We left after 1st night & found an apartment. Absolutely horrible! Front desk acts like their English is poor, so they don’t have to help you.
The hotel is in quite a good position, but I was discouraged by the broken fixtures in my room - light in bathroom, pedal bin, toilet roll holder, shower door... inside window looked out onto stairwell littered with cigarette butts. One staff member was friendly and helpful, but two others were offhand and one didn't know how to get us a taxi. The disorder was blamed on heavy bookings during the Olympics. That may well be true, but I do hope the renovations will take place in November.
.
The room was incredibly small, we asked to move to another and were charged an extra 15 euros a night for a marginally bigger room. There was a clump of long dark hair on the bed of the first room and mold in the shower of the second. The breakfast was disappointing, we only had it once and ate out for breakfast on the other days. I have chosen 3 stars as despite the above, the staff were very friendly and helpful.
It was a very small room with only one bed, but the staff was very friendly and we loved our stay.
This was only average. TV, fridge, safe in room did not work at all.
It was not the one I pucy
Outside is too loud
This is a more than basic place. The bathroom is very, very small, the phone in the room did not work, I was not given the WiFi password and therefore had to go all the way down to reception to ask for it. Overall, stay here if you are desperate but for the price charged I have stayed in much better hotels in Paris.
The room was too small, the shower was even smaller, the shower doors didn't close all the way, there was a huge Crack in the bathroom door, and since there was no air conditioning, we had to have our window open all night and the first night there an Indian couple was arguing past midnight. I was about to scream at them to shut up. Everyday I smelled ramen noodles and curry cooking. It made me sick to my stomach. This hotel is in the ghetto. The nasty carpet and spiral staircase looked like something out of The Shining. The only good thing about the hotel was the staff. They were extremely nice and professional. Because of the staff they get 2 stars.
Our room was very uncomfortable. The shower flooded into the room and there were exposed wires at outlets. The walls were so thin that conversations could be heard all night in other rooms and outside. The mattresses on both the bed and pullout were uncomfortable.
Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Mattress sunk in the middle.
The bed was sagging , the elevator failed 3 times , no air conditioning
Property is very close to Metro. Very nice and helpful staff. Ali and the rest speak English very well. Space is a bit small, but I guess this is the norm in Paris. Definitely recommend this to anyone
Nice cheap place to sleep and have a restroom. Do not expect the best place to stay but if you are on a budget and do not want to spend too much money and time in hotel, than it is a good place to stay, just remember, you do get what you pay for, so do not expect too much for this place.
Perfect spot
Reception staff I met were great but unfortunately thermos were shabby, bleached stained carpets, huge bed with n old saggy mattress which dipped in the middle. Very uncomfortable pillows was like sleeping on a bag of stones. We felt so uncomfortable in our rooms that we booked another hotel. The bed for me was an ultimate deal breaker I suggest the hotel invest in some new and decent mattresses. Also before I realised upon moving to another hotel the hotel cleaner had stolen an expensive pair of my flip flop/sandals! So to me apart from the helpful reception staff the rest was a nightmare! I am so happy we salvaged our short 3 night trip and booked another hotel that was absolutely a relief. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and my lesson is truly learnt. If you're happy with that standard and you want to save money then thats your choice. I'm sure some people would find it comfortable enough just for a small time but sadly it wasn't a "yes" from me. I would emphatically recommend you really do your research before just taking what seems to be the best lowest priced rooms on the site.Paris is beautiful and you deserve to make your vacation no matter show long or short the best that you can. Hope my review helped the customer and the hotel in some way.
It is really dirty hotel, terrible experience,
Small room but great location
You need a sense of humour to stay here. The positives are location, nice window view and friendly staff, the negatives are rooms & hotel are in poor condition, eg loose plug socket hanging out of wall, no key for our room and staff had to let us in each time, kettle but no cups, leaking shower doors, the lift broke whilst we were there, hot water ran out, you get the idea. We had a fab time but not really worth the money. Shame as it wouldn't take too much to sort out!
We had a lovely large room and had a balcony. The room needed some repairs like the bath. Some of the wood work needed some repairs. It was nice but looked a little shabby.
A 2.5-star hotel by downtown Paris standard and a good example of one gets what one pays for.
The receptionist is nice even I wait to check in more than 15 minutes. Few hours later my door key broken can’t fix! We have to check out next day to change room. I have handicap room, I don’t like the bathroom no bathtub and shower before sink and toilet! We booked 1 double bed and 1 single bed but my husband lies on the floor because it’s not bed a small iron sofa no more mousse we can’t sleep on it! Your hotel 3 stars is Compare with American hotel is worse than motel 6!
It’s very convenient to everything. It’s an old building that is well maintained in a way. Location is very close to transportation.
Location perfect. Cleaners on it. Don’t bother with breakfast I think that’s the only negative thing I can say.
Great
Very well situated property. Minutes walk from Moulin Rouge, Sacred Heart, Gare du Nord and Little Africa. Can't beat the price. The hotel is very dated and in need of repair. The staff is excellent! I do believe I was overcharged but felt like it was an honest mistake, not a scam. Though I did not appreciate being charged an Olympics tax....in February! lol The cleaning staff gets started early making noise, The noise outside of the hotel never stops. Hallway/elevator noise is a constant because of the intimate closeness of the rooms. On one of our nights, we were awakened around 4am by a fire alarm. It was terrible, right out of a horror movie or dark comedy.
It was amazing. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The hotel was close tourist attraction especially Sacre -Coeur Church Montmarter and also convenient to Anvers metro.I should add that price was good.
A shock to be asked to pay a deposit on entry, the hike in city tax doesn't help matters (but that is the French Government for you), simple accomodation, but clean and friendly staff, bed was very, very hard, but would consider booking again.
Average basic budget hotel close to metro and other attractions
Very small rooms, small bed, hole in floor.
