Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Reasonable stay, hot shower, clean room. Pretty quiet In the room despite being in a busy area, Slight issue with key card which was fixed quickly. Recommended for a few nights stay - not a bad deal for the price.
THE HOTEL PROPERTY AREA & SIZE IS GOOD BUT HAS A VERY COLD FEEL AS IF JUST MADE THE HOTEL OUT OF FORCE AND NOT AS PER PASSION
Clean room ad friendly staff. Very noisy with construction and traffic.
The only thing to like about this property is the staff. Listed on Orbitz as a four-star property, it is no more than a 2 Star at best. The pictures do not reflect the true look of the hotel. Rooms were dirty with mold in the bathrooms, spots on the bed mattress, unclean floors, lamps missing light bulbs, etc. I was booked to stay five nights but checked out after the first night.
Great hotel! Under 10 minutes walking distance from the Genocide Museaum on foot. Great view from the bar on top.
I don't really like there. That's the first and the last for me.
Loved the location, handy to alot of activities we were doing. Tour booking counter was helpful. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. Nice little deck and magic view over the city. Bed was comfortable.
In a busy area, but basic, clean and comfortable for a good price
Hotel rooms are good. A pity food not so good. Has a nice rooftop bar but food is disappointing as is breakfast.
Welcome to hotel by friendly and helpful staffs. Smooth check-in as staffs able to converse in English. Porter helps to carry luggage to room and ensure all in order before leaving. Convenient location to travel around.
We stayed 3 nights in this good clean modern hotel with spacious rooms. Away fro center of town but easily accessible to all points with 3 USD Tuk Tuk ride. Breakfast was good . Overall an enjoyable stay.
The Kolab Sor Phnom Penh is a good hotel.
We had a very comfortable stay, everything was nice , only we missed a wardrobe in the room.Toiletries were not the total, a pair of slippers would have made it better.
I had a good stay in this hotel, which felt safe and conveniently located unless you are keen to stay closer to the main sights (though they are only a short tuk tuk journey away). The rooms are spacious, and I particularly enjoyed spending time in the 10th floor sky bar. The food was generally good, with a discount for guests, and the breakfast has plenty of options to choose from. The staff was always very friendly and ready to help with my various requests.
We booked two rooms for two days and we enjoyed our stay. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. They can provide you with all the information you need for your tourism purposes and they also have a counter to help you with your tour booking, visa and passport needs.
You get what you pay for. It is not worth to be rated as a 4 star hotel. The first unsatisfaction was the safe could be grabbed away and was so small. That's why I did not use it and went out with my valued belongings every time. We then found out the battery of the air conditioner's remote control was running out. The crew came by to fix it right away after reporting it to the front desk. Furthermore, the breakfast was not decent. Also, You could see the stain on the table cloth. Fortunately, we only stayed there one night before leaving Phnom Penh.
Good hotel but a small room
Great value for the price. Fairly central. Great room and breakfast. Courteous, professional and helpful staff.
Great value for the price. Excellent staff and service. Great room and breakfast. Fairly close to to the center and within a 3 USD tuktuk ride to anywhere.
Spacious rooms and friendly staff made this a very comfortable stay. Only downside was the unimaginative breakfast (stayed 11 days) and the room air conditioner was not cool enough. Otherwise will definitely stay again
Check in staff was very friendly. Breakfast food variety was too little. No swimming pool to take a dip. Aircondition was not cold. Lift was very small with maximum 4 pax only. Room was spacious and bathroom water pressure was great. No welcome drink was offered.
Very good
Hotel room was clean and spacious but it didn't look like the photos online. It was quite a bit darker and not as swish as we thought it was going to be. Still, it was ok for what we paid. We asked to change to a nicer room but they said they were full so we just stayed where we were. Breakfast was good, a guy made pancakes and eggs for you which was nice. They could do with more options e.g. Nutella or something sweet for pancakes. I put something which looked like chocolate on them and then nearly gagged because it was something entirely different! The reception staff were not very helpful or on the ball. They didn't seem to want to do anything for you. When we ordered a tuk tuk with them, the driver chased us down the street after we said no and that he was charging too much - obviously this didn't reflect very well on the hotel. I don't know what the hotel man said to the driver but it was unprofessional. The bar on the top of the restaurant has a fabulous view of the city so worth going up there for drinks or just to take a look at the sunset.
We had an excellent 4-day stay at this hotel and we couldn't find any fault with it. The room was spacious, well equipped and comfy, the bathroom too. We liked the breakfast and the view from the 8th floor was stunning. The only thing we found a bit difficult to cope with was a distance to the city centre. You cannot walk in PP, as there are NO pavements worth a mention, and being driven in a tuk-tuk in an ever congested PP traffic you risk exhaust fumes poisoning. Do wear a mask! A minor inconvenience - no proper wardrobe or a closet to store your things in.
Horrible hospitality. Also needed emergency directions to police staying snd embassy with no help what so ever horrible of you speak English. Would not recommend at all
Great hotel, lovely room with balcony, and amazing rooftop bar with view of sunset. Grab a bottle of cold Angkor each and watch the sun go down
Stay there for 5 nights. Room is good but the bathroom will 'flood' if taking bath too long. Nice shower. A lot of TV channel to select so you won't feel bored if stay in the room. Good wifi. Far from anywhere, need to take tuk tuk to go to all the attraction. We pay the tuk tuk No.2 attached to the hotel i think USD20 for a day to bring us around the attractions. A few restaurant near by and ice-cream house is just beside the hotel. Laundry and massage is opposite the hotel and a few nearby. Sky bar - excellent view but the food is so-so. Need to take lift to 9th floor and take staircase up to the top.
nice hotel but have a small parking spaces.
Hotel presents well and staff are welcoming and friendly. We overlapped Christmas so someone decided to let all staff take holidays and was left with one staff at reception in the evening. We got back to our room and key card didn't work and door started beeping. Took numerous trips up and down to get them to open the door and turn off the beeping noise (by removing and reinserting the battery). This didn't fix the problem, only meant the noise stopped, because the next morning we couldn't get back into our room after breakfast, so had to go through the process again! Bed was soft and not very comfortable. We were on 3rd floor and could hear street noise clearly. Wifi would sometimes work, but unreliable and not always connected to internet. They just kept resetting it, but it was still not very good.
Receptionist service really need to improve,it's not even comparable to guest house standard. There is an incident when I need some change to pay my taxi driver, just $5 to breakdown only, the hotel staff kept saying no change and not going to help to find solution for me. Until I have to flash my hotel key and say I am staying and paying way more than $50 to stay at your hotel, and hotel can even spare me $1-2 small changes to pay my taxi ride. I was not asking the hotel to pay for me, I got the money but no small change and my host suppose to help me since I am staying at their hotel. This hotel is good but the staff attitude giving me a boiling experience think Cambodian just want to earn money then only give service.
If you don't mind commuting to sites in the centre of the city this is a decent option. Breakfast was good as was checkin. Also the hotel is within walking distance of the genocide museum and the Russian market.
Drainages in toilet were blocked for some instances. Bed not so comfortable.
not near to City area. Everytime need to travel by tuk tuk to the City area. May be the reception staff can initial the various programme that can offer to travellers during the stay.
Great experience. Hotel was easy to find. Room was clean. Great shower. Balcony view was amazing. When I needed more shampoo they brought it to me promptly. Breakfast was the best - make your ie omelette, coffee bar etc.
Average hotel
Hotel facility good. Good very poor
Love the spacious of the room. Very comfortable. Beautiful view . love the vibe love the color. very lively very quiet stay. sleep so peacefully.
The hotel was closely located to the areas we wanted to visit. The staff was nice, however food was slow.
I enjoyed my stay there. I would go back again!!
Really enjoyed stay and Staff were very helpful and knowledgable. Sky Bar was Great and very relaxing will definately stay again. Food was good service quick free brekfast prepared one for the day Rooms were quiet from outside Traffic Reccomend Strongly as Value for $
Its in downtown. You could walk to tuol sleng museum. Staffs are welcoming and helpful. Not noisy. Its not as bright as the pics are. But will stay here again.
We booked last minute online. Received a free shuttle from the airport including name on a sign!!! Staff immediately helped with bags and offered tour info. Tour of temples arranged was exceptional and tuk tuk driver even provided cold water bottles for us after each temple. Had issues with outgoing flight and manager/owner helped out with local language and made sure we would be to the airport in time in the morning. Food was very good. Room was clean. Shower was hot. Pool was clean. Wifi worked very well too. Overall, highly recommended. Area isn't close to city centre but if looking for quiet and relaxation this is the place
Staff are busy playing with their phones. Didn't really want to get disturbed when asked for extension, said "we are full , can't extend". Place is full of mosquitoes, which are doing their job well.
We arrived and the hotel staff were very kind. The hotel is clean and the rooms are nice. I would come back again.
Friendly staff, no additional charge for late checkout. Price was quite cheap too.
The staff were very helpful and the hotel had a really nice atmosphere, giving off a very relaxing vibe. What can be improved is the aircons in the room! Other than that though, nice staff, nice atmosphere, great option for a short getaway!
The lobby is cozy and check-in & check-out process are very efficient. The room is unexpectedly very spacious for its price. The shower place is very comfortable and the water pressure is very pleasing. I like the common area too, simple and cozy. I stayed only one night with an ex-co who visited Phnom Penh after leaving us. We both enjoy the night. She was very exciting about the Skybar on rooftop. And I'm impressed by the breakfast provided... Well, hotel-provided breakfast is usually normal, but the spaghetti was delicious. Oh ya, and the location is good. Just couple minutes walk to main road, and yet not been abused by the noise. Definitely a thumb up!
I booked room for 3 people. First offered me a regular double bed room with a roll away ! There was no space to walk around in room. Requested the room I booked online and reception desk did change It. It took a little time.
The hotel is spacious, quiet and comfortable. However, because the ceiling is high, it takes more time to cool the room.
Room was not.the one advertised on internet. Overflow from air-conditioner was coming into shower. Room was very very small.
A very modern and clean hotel in a good location. Cant be better for this prize :)
Staff is very nice, hotel is very great
Great hotel highly recommend this to travellers!!!
Great value. Nice modern hotel. Good welcome including a refreshing drink. Room was nice. Clean and modern. Wifi worked well. Staff were friendly. Our first room door lock did not work so we were upgraded to a room with balcony. Sound proofing was not good. From 6th floor the noise from the traffic was bad. There was plenty room for a bedside table on each side but only had one. Breakfast was ok. I'm not sure if the location was good or not. We got tuktuk everywhere.
Great hotel , lovely rooms, lovely shower,
I stayed 2 nights I found it hard to communicate to get another room for a relative we waited for a long time for transfer of rooms and I speak khmer too. the fridge did not keep beverages cold. we initially had a smaller room and upgraded to a larger room which took some time I had to eventually go to reception to speak to someone regarding transfer. it was nice boutique hotel but the service could be more efficient the rooms needs a paint job as it looked dated.
This is a boutique hotel. I booked the Cozy Double room listed as 32 m2, but it's not that big. I didn't measure it, but I would say the room was 25 m2, or less. If you include the balcony then it will be bigger. You do get decent views from the room and from the balcony. One side of the bed is against the wall because of the lack of space. They provide bathrobes upon request. If you exit the hotel, turn left and then turn right there's a barbecue restaurant with chicken wings and bacon. Other than than, there's not much to do walking distance from the hotel. You can ask the front desk to call you a metered taxi. The metered taxi prices are lower than tuk tuks. Room Tip: The Cozy Double room was decent.
Kolab Sor is a really good hotel which represents very good value for money. The lobby is really nice and almost super stylish, and the room (Comfort Double) was spacious and had an awesome balcony. The complimentary buffet breakfast was much appreciated and provided many options. Overall I think this is a great hotel to stay at which is why my ratings are so high. However, there were some small areas that the hotel could afford to work on. I had attempted to organise an airport pickup via email, but I simply never received a reply. And the hotel's driver that took me to the airport when I left didn't seem to know where to go within the airport and ended up causing a bit of a traffic jam because he was trying to get into the staff entry. Also, within the hotel, the staff were friendly but didn't really go the extra mile, which I experienced in other places in Cambodia. Very annoyingly, the fridge would turn off when the power to the room was switched off, which is something that every hotel I've ever been to manages to overcome. The location of the hotel is ok. There are a few food options around, but you'll need a tuk tuk for most places. But considering how much you pay for a room, the extra tuk tuk rides still mean you come out on top.
A nice, clean hotel in the middle of the city. Location is OK - the surrounding streets are pretty filthy and it is difficult to walk around without stepping in stagnant water or crossing paths with an angry dog. They have Tuk Tuk drivers outside who are a bit pushy but will take you on tours around the city. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was OK - 7/10. Sky Bar on the roof is really cool. Big cocktails and quite good food. Room was clean and serviced daily.
Stayed here 4 nights and loved the room, really bright and spacious, clean lines and polished concrete. Liked the skybar on the roof in the evening. Nice food too but the beer was a bit pricey compared to other bars and restaurants otherwise we would have gone more. They do make an effort though with drink promos and a free drink on arrival. It is far from the popular riverside area but $2 in a tuk tuk. And I don't know if you would get anywhere as nice as this there for the price. Breakfast was very good too.
We were pleased to find our stay quite enjoyable. We enjoyed dinner on they're sky bar terrace on the roof after arriving late into phenom penh. Also our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. A great deal ! The staff was not as helpful or friendly as we would have liked but sufficiently did they're job.
Me and my friends stayed in Kolab Sor Phnom Penh Hotel for 3 nights and we had a good time staying there. The hotel is very clean and modern. With transportations, it' s very easy to get tuktuk downstair of the hotel or else the hotel also offered taxi service. If you're looking for a quiet stay, this would be the right place to stay because the hotel is located in local resident area.
Excellent service- very nice, helpful, and friendly staff. There is a rooftop bar that has a good 360 view- worth checking out and relaxing with a beer. Rooms are spacious with tall ceilings.
It is a nice clean hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful
Just another type of ordinary hotel. No special uniqueness of the hotel.
Only a couple of blocks from the genoside museum and only a $3 tuk tuk ride from Sisowath Quay this hotel is well located. The staff were very friendly but their English wasn't too great. Breakfast very good, Asian and western food. My only downside to this hotel was that the pillows were so uncomfortable. They were really thick and solid. I ended up sleeping on top of a folded towel! We asked for another pillow and we got another just the same. Shame really as its a nice hotel and for the money it's a really good deal.
Very nice hotel. Rooms are great, amazing breakfast included, nice roof top bar, friendly staff. It is a little bit far away from the river and other attractions
We stayed here twice, leaving our large luggage when we headed south to Sihanouk Ville. Great hotel in downtown Phnom Penh. Not right near the palace and other tourist sites, but close enough to the center of town to be interesting and find things to do, places to eat, etc.
This is a very new hotel. I stayed at the 8th floor, and I am able to view the sunset and the overview of the PP city. The sky bar is also very nice. I strongly recommand this hotel.
Very nice hotel, just off the main road in Phnom Penh. Not right near the touristy stuff, which is nice. Plenty of good places to eat, though the hotel has a decent restaurant upstairs for dinner. The breakfast is also very good.
Cozy little hotel.A bit out of town but advantage of away from the trash & noise. Hotel staff quite attentive & helpful. Only issue i have is the slamming of the doors by the inconsiderate guests(not sure if its because of the strong wind due to the high floor). Food is pretty much the same every day for my 4 nights stay there. Walking distance to Genocide Museum.
Modern hotel building located 10-15 min away from downtown area. Nothing to do around in the evening. Guest rooms bath towels are drying up on chairs where the roof bar is located ! Bathroom shower gel bottles refilled. Breakfast Buffet with no bakeries. Egg station filthy. Restaurant staff chatting in a corner, not daring attending your table. Only pleasant experience was the reception staff at both check in and check out.
i like the hotel because it was in the centre and very easy to get to anywhere you want to,and i really enjoyed my vacation while i am in phnom penh cambodia
A great experience
Value: Bargain; Service: Go the extra mile; Cleanliness: Spotless;
