We had a fantastic stay; the staff were very pleasant, and the highlight was the responsive reception team, who were always ready to offer advice and resolve any issues. We encountered a problem with the breakfast payment, but it was sorted out and the money refunded within a few hours—a major plus. The rooms were clean and comfortable for sleeping. Friday was a bit noisy, but fortunately, earplugs had been provided in the room, which solved the issue. The location worked well for us, with the metro just a few minutes' walk away. We recommend it.

La ubicación es realmente mala, es una zona peligrosa y problemática. El colchón es duro. La habitación es pequeña y sin ventanas, hay ruido.

Zimmer war groß und sauber für 4 Personen. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Personal super freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Soba je prostrana, čista. Unutar hotela je sve dobro klimatizirano, a posto je bilo jako vruce to je bilo bitno. Blizu je centra i ima mogucnost za pohranu prtljage.

Iako je blizu centra cetvrt po noci ne izgleda sigurno, ali to smo rijesile taksijem do ulaza. Drugi dan na dorucku je bilo dosta gostiju i ponestalo im je svega. Jedna osoba je radila i pomoc je stigla prekasno.

Está ubicado en el Raval, lo que permite ir andando a la mayoría de sitios de interés turístico. La terraza es genial, tiene tumbonas, sillas y mesas donde poder relajarse, incluso una pequeña piscina que permite refrescarse (no apta para nadar)

El tamaño de la habitación era muy pequeño y no había espacio para colocar las maletas.

Es un atrevimiento y una falta de consideración hacia el visitante crear un hotel en este barrio. Puede ser peligroso, sobre todo si eres mayor o chica joven. Seguro que el dueño del hotel no visita este barrio nada más que para hacer caja con el turista perdido. Drogas, alcohol, delincuencia, suciedad, enfermos mentales y mucha pobreza en el barrio. Los recepcionistas no miran a la cara a los clientes. No se molestan en ayudarte con las maletas de la consigna, ni te ayudan con nada. Poco profesionales.

La posizione è veramente pessima. Ho assistito per ben due volte a delle rapine. La zona è molto pericolosa. Lo staff è stato piuttosto maleducato, non salutavano nemmeno quando entravamo in hotel, proprio non ci guardavano neanche in faccia. Lo spazio nella stanza è abbondante ma mancano punti di appoggio e il bagno era sproporzionato perché minuscolo (se appendevi l’accappatoio toccava l’asse del wc). Da ultimo la piscina e minuscola, poco piu grande di una vasca da bagno

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Gardenia. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and easy. There is a lift, so we could immediately head up to the first floor and settle into our room. The room was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked extremely well, which was definitely appreciated in Barcelona. Some nice extras were waiting for us, including coffee, water, Coca-Cola and chocolates. The bathroom was spotless and had a fantastic large rainfall shower, which I absolutely loved. There is also a separate handheld shower if you don’t want to get your hair wet. A hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo were provided, as well as a toothbrush and slippers. Upstairs, there is a rooftop terrace with a very small plunge pool. Don’t expect a full-sized swimming pool, but it is perfect for cooling down and refreshing yourself on a hot day. You can also buy drinks on the rooftop at very reasonable prices. Inside the hotel, there is a vending machine with various drinks and snacks. The breakfast was one of the biggest surprises. Considering the price and the relatively small size of the hotel, we thought it was excellent. There was a good selection of cheese, cold meats, fruit, cereals, yoghurt, coffee, milk and different juices. You could also order different types of freshly prepared eggs, with or without bacon. For a hotel of this size, the breakfast was genuinely impressive. Our only real downside was the location of our room. It was close to the breakfast area, so from around 7 a.m. we could already hear plates and cutlery being prepared. Light sleepers might want to request a room farther away from the breakfast area. The neighbourhood is very multicultural and lively, which might feel a little overwhelming to some visitors who aren’t used to a big city environment. Personally, however, we never felt unsafe during our stay. Overall, we had a very positive experience at Casa Gardenia.

Geographically great location and close to key points (however not the most pleasant surrounding culture-wise so you may feel uneasy at times). Great housekeeping and reliable room air conditioning, nice showers, comfortable beds. Free beach towels.

Coffee wasn’t 24/7 - perhaps this used to be the case but has since changed. The common/kitchen area didn’t have a/c on all the time so we could not spend as much time there. No pool - more of a bathtub (so don’t book here if it’s just for the ‘pool’).

Hotel amplasat într-o zonă care nu inspiră siguranță, murdară, camera exagerat de mică, fără absolut nicio lumină naturală, în afara unui geam acoperit cu o jaluzea nefuncțională; pereții extrem de subțiri - se aude orice zgomot din altă cameră sau de pe hol. Pragul ușii lipsea, iar lumina intra cu ușurință, noaptea, de pe hol; Dușul extrem de îngust chiar și pentru persoanele slabe. Nu există spații de depozitare ale hainelor/trolerelor.

Die Lage ist super, es sind nur wenige Gehminuten von Las Ramblas entfernt und auch mehrere U-Bahnen sind sehr nah. Es ist relativ ruhig, obwohl es mitten in der Innenstadt ist.

Der Pool am Dach ist zwar cool, aber sehr klein und das Wasser war nicht sehr sauber. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer hat es nicht geschafft runterzukühlen und das Zimmer war sehr klein - ok, wenn man die meiste Zeit unterwegs ist.

Good AC in the room. Room was clean, staff were helpful when required. We were able to leave our bags on the last day and collect them later as we had a late flight.

Location, while reasonably close to La Rambla (10min walk) is not the best, the streets don’t feel 100% safe and the environment is dirty. I didn’t have any bad experiences but I was not feeling so comfortable in the surrounding streets. The room itself was very small for 2 people.

La habitación del hotel estaba espectacular, mejor que las fotos que había visto, todo a nuevo y cómodo, y el aire acondicionado funcionaba perfecto. El personal fue amable, en la terraza hay un mini bar, la chica que atiende allí es una genia, muy amable.

La ubicación está fatal, el barrio no ayuda para nada. No me parece un lugar seguro, tienes que andar con mucho cuidado, el barrio está muy sucio, huele fatal. En cuanto al hotel, estaban pintando los pasillos, había mucho olor a pintura y el personal ahí trabajando desde la mañana, escuchando música, me parece que eso lo podrían haber hecho antes del verano, para evitar molestias a los huéspedes. También tienes que subir un piso largo por escaleras hasta llegar a la recepción, si vienes cargado es terrible.

Todo es horrible, es una caja dicen que tienen aire pero no aire básicamente tienen como un extractor de aire porque es tan encerrado que uno se puede ahogar. Esta cerca de una zona roja. Todo estos son puntos que deberían de poner, vale la pena pagar un poco mas que pasarla muy mal

Me parece una estafa que no te informen con antelación que el aire acondicionado no está funcionando, en pleno verano. Un abuso para el precio que tienen por noche. No volveré ni lo recomiendo.

Ilmastointi rikki. Huoneessa 29 astetta. Korjaaja tulossa kahden päivän päästä. Saimme hotellin pesulasta tuulettimen mikä oli täynnä pölyä ja nukkaa. Uima-allas yhtä pieni kun kotonamme oleva ulkoporeallas. Vesi likaista ja sameaa, altaan reunat pinttyneesä liassa. Jotkut mitat pitäisi mainossivuilla olla koska valokuvista oli mahdoton tajuta että kyseessä on uima-allas missä ei mahdu edes uimaan. Yksi yö riitti. Yritimme saada rahoja takaisin ja vaihtaa toiseen hotelliin omin neuvoin. He suostuivat ainoastaan siirtämään meidät toiseen oman ketjun hotelliin mikä oli Guest House, ei hotelli. Toisessa paikassa ei sitten ollut uima-allasta ollenkaan, ilmastointi toimii siellä. Uima-altaan takia valitsimme alun perin ko hotellin koska tiesimme että kohteessa saattaa olla aika lämpimät säät tänä ajankohtana. Oli kyllä paska kokemus.

The air conditioning was ineffective because it was set to high, and pool was deceptively small. When you book somewhere with air conditioning and a pool as requirements.... it was disappointing they were not 'as advertised'. It was still nice to get wet though.

Das einzige positive, dass man zu diesem Hotel sagen kann, ist dass es drinnen im Hotel sauber war, wobei der Pool auch milchig war und außerdem sehr klein!

Das Zimmer war das kleinste Hotelzimmer in dem ich je war und ich reise viel. Man konnte nicht mal seinen Koffer gänzlich aufklappen, es gab auch keinen Schrank um Kleidungsstücke zu verstauen und auch nur einen kleinen Spiegel im Bad. Beim Frühstück sollte man zB Rührei bestellen, damit man es frisch bekommt, was ja grundsätzlich ein netter Gedanke ist, wenn aber jedesmal wenn man ein Rührei beim Personal bestellt die Augen verdreht werden und man teiweise so lange darauf warten muss, dass man den rest von Frühstück schon gegessen hat, ist das nicht das Wahre. An einem Tag hat die Reinigunsdame unser Zimmer einfach nicht gemacht / geputzt, keine Ahnung ob soe einfach keine Lust hatte oder vergessen hat. die Lage war furchtbar, in der Straße lummern lauter Drogenabhängige und gruselige Menschen. wir hatten jede Nacht so viel angst am Weg zurück in unser Hotel und generell war die Straße so ekelhaft und schmutzig, ich war noch nie am so einem dreckigen Ort, wie in dieser Straße. Dieses Hotel mit der Lage zusammen haben uns tatsächlich leider ein bisschen unseren Urlaub versaut. Also wenn ich nicht am dreckigsten und schlechtesten Ort sein wollt, wo ihr je zuvor in eurem Leben wart, dann entscheidet euch nicht für dieses Hotel! Achja und fast hätte ich vergessen, das das Zimmer nicht nur furchbar klein und unkomfortabel war, sondern es war auch mega heiß, weil die Klimaanlage nicht funktioniert hat. Um 2 Uhr morgens hatte es noch 28,5 Grad in unserem Zimmer. Schrecklichstes Hotel in dem ich in meinem Leben je war!

There was no air conditioning in the room despite it being a valued facility provided, I was informed the air conditioning unit is not currently working and others had made complaints and requested refunds but were not successful. Not only was I not offered a refund when this issue originally occurred (which was weeks prior to my stay as told to me by a reception desk worker) I was also not offered or provided with an alternate e.g. a fan. During my stay it was 32°c and above which in my option is an extremely uncomfortable temperature to be expected to live in. When my issue was raised to reception staff, I was repeatedly told there was nothing that can be done. Also the pool that is advertised in my option did not look clean, the water was cloudy with leaves etc in it. Therefore, facilities were not as described and staff were unhelpful.

Czysto, miły personel, dobra kawka, turbo wygodne łóżka ;) Hotel trafił się nam w okazyjnej cenie - jest co prawda w mało ciekawej dzielnicy Barcelony jednak czuliśmy się tam mega bezpiecznie. Dobry punkt wypadowy do centum i na plaże. Jeśli ktoś szuka miejsca w którym zostawi walizki i będzie tylko spał - polecam :) To nie jest hotel z atrakcjami a bardziej pokój w któym jest wygodna, duża łazienka i pachnąca pościel. Nocą słychać hałas miasta, ale przy klimie i zamkniętym oknie - spoko. dają tez zatyczki do uszy ;)

Katastrofa... Hotel pomimo oferowania klimatyzacji w pokoju nie jest w stanie jej zapewnić. Temperatura w pokoju 28 stopni, brak okna. Po zgłoszeniu problemu z klimatyzacją, miał przyjść technik od naprawy w ciągu 20 minut - nikt nie przyszedł, po ponownym zgłoszeniu, usłyszałem że albo to zaakceptuje (że klimatyzacja nie dziala) albo moge uzyskać zwrot pieniędzy i moge sobie iść. Spytałem czy to standardowa sytuacja, dostałem odpowiedź że tak to u nich działa... Nie mogłem sie na to zgodzić - hotel ze względu na to ze bylem nieugiety, zaproponował mi inny hotel (w lepszym standardzie) w innym miejscu gdzie pokój byl jak najbardziej OK.

A €2,000 Scam: False Advertising, Broken Facilities, and Disgraceful Management. Do not trust the photos or the description of this hotel. Our experience at Hotel Casa Gardênia was an absolute nightmare from the moment we arrived. The rooms look nothing like the advertised pictures, but the real ordeal was the climate control: the air conditioning was stuck at 28°C (feeling like 35°C). We requested maintenance, and two different employees explicitly told us that it was a central system failure and "nothing could be done." We asked to see three other rooms—all of them were suffocatingly hot. Because the conditions were entirely unlivable, we decided to leave and asked for a refund for our two reservations. Management not only refused but actively deceived us: they claimed they would process the refund as they were putting the rooms back on the market, only to backtrack later and pocket nearly €2,000 of our money. They are hiding behind Booking.com’s "non-refundable" policy to legally rob guests, completely ignoring the fact that they failed to provide the advertised service (air conditioning). Chamamos a manutenção e dois funcionários admitiram, sem nenhum pudor, que o sistema central estava quebrado e que "não havia nada a ser feito". Visitamos outros três quartos e a situação era idêntica: um forno intransitável.

It was literally impossible to breathe. We called maintenance, and two employees bluntly admitted that the central AC system was broken and "nothing could be done." They then showed us three other rooms, all of them operating as identical, insalubrious ovens. Staying there was a legitimate health hazard. Since the conditions were entirely unlivable, we were forced to leave and demanded a refund for our two reservations. The management acted with disgusting bad faith: they explicitly lied to our faces, promising a refund because they were putting the rooms back on the market, only to pocket our money later. They stole nearly €2,000 from us. This place hides behind Booking.com’s "non-refundable" policy to scam guests, completely ignoring that they failed to provide the basic advertised service.
