Hotel Mira

Wszystko super genialna lokalizacja ! Cisza spokój bardzo polecam!

Pure Switzerland ♥️ A cozy restaurant, a cute room, lovely simple pura vida, colorful flowerpots on my balcony, homemade marmalade, delicious tea, and the warmest welcome from Mac, the owner of the place — Tuatschin Romansh in shining armour himself.

Hearty breakfast. Very fresh local products. Restaurant excellent; many local traditional meals. Good location for skiing 8 minutes walk to Sedrun station and 5 minutes to the Dieni chairlift to access the skiing area

This was my third visit; that speaks for itself!

Breakfast - especially the bread, was outstanding

Top Wirt.

Bad etwas klein

Location and staff

I spent two unforgettable days at Hotel Mira in Sedrun, and I can’t recommend it enough – especially for hikers and motorcyclists. Nestled in the heart of the Alps, this traditional-style hotel is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, high mountain passes, and peaceful trails that invite adventure and reflection alike. As a weary traveler, I arrived tired – but quickly transformed into a delighted guest. The warm welcome, the spotless room, and the quiet Alpine charm worked their magic instantly. The hotel is impeccably maintained and perfectly clean throughout. My room was cozy, calm, and pristine – just what you need after a long day on the road or in the mountains. The breakfast deserves a special mention: generous, varied, and absolutely delicious – there’s something for everyone, whether you prefer sweet, savory, or something light. The host was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. And with a Coop supermarket just steps away, everything you might need is close at hand. Whether you’re hiking the scenic trails or riding through Switzerland’s most iconic mountain routes, Hotel Mira is the perfect place to rest, recharge, and feel truly welcomed. I will gladly return – this place is a rare gem.

Excellent breakfast. All fresh local produce. Short walk to Sedrun Railway station for access to ski areas and also 40 minute ride to Andermatt for Gemstock area. Restaurant evening meals superb. Interesting menu all cooked to order with fresh local produce. Mac is passionate about his restaurant and it shows!

Some nighttime noise from Mac's bar but not too intrusive

super! Gerne nächstes Jahr wieder.

Beautiful, quaint, good location, excellent breakfast and restaurant.

Nothing really - I failed to appreciate that you cannot drive from Sedrun to Andermatt in the winter. However the ski train is a 5 min walk from the hotel and tickets can be purchased by credit card at the Sedrun station.

Restaurant was unavailable and we were not informed

A spacious single quiet room with balcony and views. Delicious traditional Swiss breakfast. A friendly welcoming family run hotel. Spotlessly clean and full of character. Evening meals were mainly traditional and local and excellent! Yes, I will be booking for another trip next year!

Centrally located, perfect for us running the Rheinquelle Trail. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very basic but we had everything we needed and it was clean, which to me is the most important thing. The breakfast buffer was good and the owner prepared a "breakfast box" for us runners the evening before, so that we could still have breakfast even though it was very early in the morning

The restaurant hotel was nothing special. One could skip it and wouldn't miss anything

Great location, across from coop, Nice cafe next door. Could use ski area for bike storage which was great for summer cycling holidays

Would have liked a kettle or ability to make coffee for yourself outside of breakfast

Freundliches Personal. Für Biker sehr zentral gelegen. Gutes Frühstück. Sauberes Zimmer, aber sehr kleines Bad.

Perfect location

The view from the balcony and the quiet surrounding

Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, along with the rest of the locals I met in the town! Breakfast was a great selection.

You could hear others in hallways/other rooms easily, but that's what comes with an older building. Otherwise everything was comfortable.

nice place, with updated rooms , great breakfast

very friendly welcome by charming owner, excellent dinner and ample choice for breakfast, comfortable room and absolutely brilliant shower

lovely room and a power shower that would knock you of your feet puts the bigger chains to shame.

No lift but a really strong owner who lugged the bags willin

Fantastisk oplevelse!

it was beautifully clean and comfortable.

Very friendly staff, super dinner ( Güggeli! ) next to Disentis and service nearby ( restaurants, chocolate shop in front, Coop supermarket)

Sehr nettes Personal, heimelige Unterkunft, sehr gutes Essen

Sehr freundlich und bemüht.

This is an authentic alpine hotel, located in amazing place, with spectacular view. I stayed there overnight just on my way to France through beautifull mountain passes. The hotel owners are very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. I also chose to have the dinner in the restaurant and it was very delicious and recommended local wine was really good choice! I will certainly come back again to this amazing place.

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay near the Gotthardt Tunnel, it is a short mountain pass ride away from the highway, with stunning views as you drive through the Swiss landscape. If you are really afraid of heights, i do not recommend this. The hotel though was lovely, cosy and clean and met all the expectations of a " typical swiss mountain hotel" The room was equipped with all the basic needs, bathroom was small but efficient. The room had a beautiful balcony with the before mentioned stunning view. Dinner was good, although no choices for the vegetarians/pescatarians, which I did not mind too much, for it is a traditional hotel, which serves the traditional, regional dishes. Breakfast was very good, many choices of food and drinks. Overall I would stay here again!

Nice family run bed & breakfast, Good place to stay one night on the way to Andermatt & Zermaty ( Matterhorn). Not much around to do...

All rooms are none smoking but in the hotelbar smoking is allowed which makes the place smell constantly. Also every morning the rooms are filled with smoke from people smoking on the balcony. The rooms are very small, no fridge, table and phone. Bed covers are not Feder filled as it is common on other places. Internet partly works email and web only. Bathroom and rooms are very clean. Food is average. Overall for the cost you will find much better deals around town.

Kävelyetäisyydellä Sedrunin juna-asemasta, joten helppo tulla vaikkapa Andermattista asti

Really friendly people , pretty good quality price , the food is good and they have also a bar inside . I broke my board and the boss lent me all the tools to repare it. I would recomand for any trip in the area

Lage des Hotels

Great hotel with a very nice staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Great view from the deck. About a 5 min walk from the train station in the heart of the town. Food at the restaurant was very good.

Bad place to be. Looks nice, many people, but you will feel set back to the 80's . People smoke everywhere, even there is a separate smoking area (for which they do not close the door - so its useless). If you aren't smoker, you'll be disappointed.

We chose this location simply because we needed to break our journey. We were glad to have chosen the Hotel Mira; our room was fantastic – clean with a rustic appearance, with comfortable beds and a warm shower. Everything worked well, and we had a beautiful view from the window overlooking the main street. The breakfast, which was included with the price of our room, had an ample choice of just about everything we could imagine for breakfast – bread, cheese, meat, yogurt, coffee and tea, juice, milk, cereal, etc. The dinner – which was not included in our room price – was spectacular, and was one of the high points of our travels through Switzerland. We both had pork schnitzel with grilled potatoes, onions, and cabbage – simply excellent. The good Swiss beer and dessert added to the pleasure of this dining experience. We would be glad to stay here again if we are ever in the area.

En route to cortina. Everything fine with the hotel but it's best use is for skiers in winter

Ottimi i formaggi e affettati.

No one at hotel the day we arrived just a note with the room key saying reception was shut. We figured it was the quiet season being a ski town so that's ok. The accomodation itself was more than adequate with plenty of room and a nice hot shower. Hotel had lots of country charm and was close to restaurants and the local coop supermarket. However, We went down to have breakfast the following morning and then check out at 7:30am as we had a long drive ahead. My partner was handed 3 croissants so he went to find a table for the three of us to sit at. The hotel owner then picked up the 3 croissants from the table and put them in a bag for us and ushered us out the door. Clearly not happy we wanted to check out at 7:30am. It was a disappointing end to a lovely picturesque hotel.

Down of a beautifull mountain pass, in the middle of a big alpine area is hotel Mira located. Amazing location, spectacular view! Very nice reception by the hotel owners and he showed us our room. Room very nice and clean and upgraded in 2012. Amazing view on the alp and a waterfall ! We also chose to have dinner in the restaurant here, which was a good choice! Really good gourmet style food and they even had a seperate kids menu here ( a rarity these days) . Even better was that there was a play area in the restaurant. For us this was a first this roadtrip :) after dinner the owner allowed to lend out his sons play tractor to my son, so he could play. Breakfast was small, simple but really, really good!!! The bread was still warm and the ingredients where just all there! All in all... We certainly come back to this amazing place! Great service !!! BRAVO!!!
