Night Bazaar Place

Arrived in Thailand with one suitcase and left with two!! There are so many fun things to look at, you’ll definitely need more than just one night! One can never have enough of all things Thailand including elephant pants, elephant magnets and pashmina scarves!!

Boys Blues Bqr is the only reason I go to Night Bazaar, since I am a local and have visited Night Bazaar innumerable times already. Still, for 1st timers, it is a pleasant way to spend an evening. The Thapae Gate Sunday Walking Steet market is another great option. Go after 5:pm and enjoy the vibe. Then head off the Boys Blues Bar and hear one of the best guitarists in Thailand.

I got 1 room for 2 people at US$20. That’s a very fair price considering the great location, although the property is very old and the room is extremely basic. The staff were very nice and let us check out at 13:30. Every Grab driver (4 in total) found the hotel without any problem. The bathroom was not great while the bed is old and jiggly. There is no safe in the room and the TV picture was horrible (probably bad cable connecting which I couldn’t fix).

This was my, and my two youngest kid's, first trip to Thailand. I wasn't sure what to expect. While the staff were generally friendly and accommodating, some were distant, which is not what I was led to expect from reviews of other travelers to this beautiful country. As for the two separate rooms we had, there was a mildly unpleasant odor in both. But the first room had a King and a Twin, so plenty of bed space for my kids who shared, while the second room had a Queen and a Twin, so they weren't as comfortable, which led to some bickering. Additionally, the beds in the first room were softer and more comfortable than those in the second, which were uncomfortably firm. In both rooms the AC just did whatever it wanted, no matter how it was set. We couldn't get to a comfortable temperature. It was either freezing or stifling hot, which also affected the quality of the rest we got while trying to sleep. The bathroom in the first room was tiny and cramped and the wood ledge that was supposed to keep the water in the shower did not do it's job. The bathroom in the second room was more spacious. However, the experience of showering was problematic in both. Just like the AC, the water temp just did whatever it wanted, going from hot to cold and making showers uncomfortable and unpleasant experiences. I saw cockroaches in the first room. One huge one in the shower and a tiny one crawling around the main room, which I dispatched. This caused me some anxiety about the possibility of inadvertently bringing bugs home in my luggage. There was a basic breakfast included with the rooms, which was adequate to start the day, but nothing special. The room came with three glass bottles of locally sourced water, which had a high mineral content and a mildly salty taste. I liked it but my kids did not. This was really not a problem as there was a 7-11 (they are everywhere in Thailand!) a few doors down for bottled water and snacks. I wish Trip Advisor allowed for half-star reviews, as this was at most a 2 1/2 star room. But I am giving Night Bazaar Place the benefit of the doubt, as I don't have much to compare it with.

They said it was a deluxe room but it was unimpressive. The facility looks dated and with the traditional mechanical lock, We were a bit worried but there was no safe in the room either. It's right at the night market which is a plus if you want to visit it but can also be a minus for extended stay since it will stay noisy pretty late into the night

Everything about the room was satisfactory. The room was clean, and the service was good. My primary suggestion would be that the electrical outlet at the desk be changed to accept a three prong plug as all laptop computers and most cell phone chargers require this.

I love the location not because easy to find halal food but the location in the center of night market. The location really happening at night but not noisy if i stay at room. There a lot of night market and everything can find there.

This is a nice hotel with great location. The night market just in front of the hotel, i can find everything when i go out of hotel. It's very convenient for go to night market. Staffs so friendly. I will stay here again if come back to chiang mai next time.

- walking distance to night bazaars - walking distance to hard rock - many nearby halal restaurants - proper massage service near lobby with reasonable price - 20 minutes to airport, easy to get transport - breakfast provided, simple but OK

Moderate but hotel rate very cheap and easy axcess to night market bazaar

Very good location for shopping and restaurants. Beds are good and air conditioning works really well. Only problem I had was ants in the room. I was bitten several times. I left for the day and they sprayed which seemed to have cured the problem. I stayed 2 days. The breakfast could do with an update of food types. Only eggs were hard boiled. Coffee was terrible, why too strong and cream didn’t even keep, my second morning I asked for fresh coffee and was told it was make that morning. It had been sitting on the warmer for4 hours so you can imagine how it tasted. She did make more but I think they probably use 4 times as much as needed so it was really strong as well plus had lots of grounds in it. Bed was comfortable even though you could feel the springs when you sit on it, so surprisingly comfortable.

Good location near all amneties. Rooms are good and staff is cooperative.I would certainly recommend to all to stay here. Have so many night bazars all around you can get anything you want from here. Chiang mai is surrounded all over with beautiful mountains.

This is a great location! You are right in the middle of the three popular night markets in Chiang Mai (Kalare Night Bazaar, Anusarn Market, and Chiang Mai Night Bazaar), these markets are open every weeknight. The airport is only about 15 minutes away and everywhere it is easy to get around to on Songthaew (big version of tuk tuk, red); which is 30 baht. The hotel itself is rather large, from the front looks small. Make sure to have mosquito repellant on during nighttime. Our room was fairly nice but make sure to save A/C power during the day when you are not in your room. My husband had left in on during the day and the A/C went out at night so we were dying. Breakfast was very small and simple; but its great saving your stomach for the rest of the day for your food adventures! Simple, offers your basic hotel needs, and great location.

All in all it was a nice stay. The hotel may be a bit old but the staff were really nice. The breakfast was basic. And best part was its accessibility for transport and shopping. I give credit to the most accommodating staff they have. Keep it up.

Hotel must know how to serve people snd customer. If he need a towel or blanket he cannot tell him to extra charges. That was rude znd disappoint for us. But it has the best location in chiang may no doubt

Location just right in the area where foods, shopping and massage all can be found.

As mentioned, the location of this hotel and its price was the reason for opting this place. To me, sat/sun night market was not interesting, rather I found Night Bazar better. And this palce is ideal for exploring night bazar, specially muslim food.

The hotel I wanted to stay in was booked out so we picked the Night Bazzar simply on its location ( and the location is perfect - couldn’t get much better). The hotel itself is clean and comfortable but quite old. Breakfast is very basic ( toast, coffee, boiled egg, sausage, salad). In saying that it was better than I expected considering the very cheap room rates. If you are wanting luxury this is not for you but if you want a clean comfortable room in a great location at a really low rate it is perfect.

The overall stay are perfect and clean room, friendly service from staffs. The hotel are in the shopping area and foods are all on walking distance. You can have western and chinese foods beside the thai foods.

Location of hotel is in the centre of city. Everything which a tourist look for is nearby. Whether its food or shopping. Rooms neat and clean. Hotel staff very polite. Vegetarian food available in just walking distance.

Ants everywhere...don’t like it. Otherwise is near everything to do n go to... night bazaar market right out the street n in morning restaurant near by walking distance

Nice hotel, easy to get to night market which just stay out from the hotel.near by china town too.behind of the hotel got some good you can get easy at night. Friday got morning market. Near by have a lot of nice food court too.which can get there by walking. Recommend to stay and will go back again.

good central location to markets and restaurants and nightlife, within safe walking distance to everything you will need, coffee and food, shopping walking through market stalls breakfast is a bit average but enough there fill you up in the morning. good valve for money older style hotel

Location was great, room was small and did not have the extra rollout bed as stated in the room description and request.

will go again

Great location. Near night bazaar and old city. On entry, there was a stench of stale air. Hotel is dated and in desperate need for redecoration.. Windows are high and unreachable on floor. On reaching to open it, the windows sill and surrounding areas were dirty. Breakfast was fair. Good pricing for the nights booked.

The location is good and easy to find.

Super close to the night bazaar. Was told by the front desk that there was a Sunday night market which was 10 minutes walk away and there is a nigt market within walking distance. I chose the latter. It was not crowded and it was definitely a nice experience shopping for Thai gifts.

Very well located in the Night Market area; close to all amenities; wats; restaurants, etc. The staff at the hotel are really very nice, warm, friendly, polite. Good food - at all times. Thanks for a fantastic time.

Good counter service. Staff is helpful. Local Tour Agent service is provided in the hotel.

Close to Night Bazaar and the mosque. Easy to shop. Staff are very nice.

nice staff, good location ,

Very convenient, close to night bazaar and muslim restaurants etc. Only the shower was not hot.

Very good location.Good service.

This hotel is in a great location great staff. The only downside for some people might be the Mosque next door and the call to prayers at various times of the day but it didn't bother me one bit and I liked the hotel so much I have been back since and have booked again for May. You can not beat its location some great little restaurants near by and all the nightlife you could want a couple of minutes walk away.

Was there for 5 nights and we loved the location. Breakfast is nice and I really like the room which is non carpet. Hotel with lift.

Feel disappointed with the room. Book suite room but been told no available room during check in...

It is old hotel, but location is good. Compare with the low room rate, it is okay to stay. But some nights are noisy due to the broadcast from market. Complaint for ants in room for couple times, but would not be taken care for few days. Breakfast is included, but only few items and same things everyday.

Staffs r kind n helpful. Room r clean too. Need to change breakfast menu. Kitchen staff r not cheerful no greeting to the guest.

Overall it was amazing!! Friendly staff, great location and very safe. 4.8 stars out of 5!!

the breakfast too limited choice..

Thi hotel is very close to the action. It's an older style hotel which is normal around this part of town unless you're willing to spend $80 up. Nice , clean, quiet and comfortable bed also a large room.

When arrived it take more than 35 mins to confirm my booking and base on the on line booking it include breakfast but the counter staff show the Hotel. Com booking list that No breakfast provide. When request of hot drinking water supply from reception counter, the staff said that I have to call her from my room and not request face to face .

The good: Location. Friendly staff. Massages next door. Guest friendly. The bad: The rooms and hotel lobby feels really outdated. My room floor was very dirty that my socks would pick up a good amount of dirt every time I set my feet down.

Only stayed 1 night as i read the previous reviews on Expedia and was disappointed with the room, the price, and the facilities but the staff was helpful and friendly. They need to update the hotel if they want to charge the price that they do. There are plenty of hotels that are cheaper and better nearly only a 5 or 10 minute walk to Night Bazaar Markets if you don't mind the walk. There was no safe and security for the room was average.

My room at another building 2-3 min walk.. Inside Kalare night baazar.

The WiFi never worked from our room, which was a bummer. But this hotel had everything we needed to come back to after a long day of wandering Chiang Mai. They had great travel recommendations too. It was about a 15 minute walk from the old city, so it was pretty close.

Close to shopping spots.. Starbucks.. And a lot of choices for food..

Located near most amenities and short walk to most place of interest. Rooms are old and not that well maintained but the reception staff are helpful. Will recommend only if going to stay alone or a short get awY for the weekend.

We stayed two nights. The room was clean and comfortable. Food was good. At night, we enjoyed going through te many shops around the hotel and then when we decided to go to sleep we found a comfortable and quiet place to rest.

The room was ok. The location terrible as it was IN the night bazaar, and the wooden door didnt make me feel very safe to leave all my belongings there

Well, the hotel is right next to the Night bazaar, but the problem is, the building for the 'standard room' is in the different building, right 'in the' night bazaar. You should know that it's literally in the bazaar, so it is super loud at night. The market close past midnight but the loud music lasts longer. So, if you choose standard room, don't even think about a sleep AT ALL. I had no idea about this, so I just hope nobody has same experience like I did. I guess superior room is fine, but I won't leave any comment about it since I didn't stay at that building.

Wouldn't recommend this place - booked into the Night Bazaar Place which looked nice enough, but upon arrival was actually moved down the street, up some stairs inside the market...bit strange and made me feel a bit uncomfortable! Room very very basic - grainy tv, tiny bathroom - big bed though which was comfy enough and clean sheets. Towels provided which were clean. Was woken at 7am by loads of people out in the lobby - don't know what was going on but very annoying!! Overall wouldn't recommend this place - we were pleased to check out and move to the Rux-Thai guest house which was much better!!

Satisfied with the location and cleanliness

Very comfortable rooms with good service staff. Next to all conveniences. Perfect for family holidays on a budget.

Facilities: Modest; Value: Cheap; Service: Friendly; Cleanliness: Poor; Great Thai boxing club downstairs
