Naga Angkor Hostel

The staff were really friendly and helpful and the location was great! Bed was comfortable. The hot shower was amazing! The room is very old and could you a real deep clean. The pillows on the beds were really hard and the door on the toilet wouldn’t shut properly if you weren’t inside to lock it, this would let bugs in as the bathroom had gaps to outside

very good staff

The guesthouse is well located and within minutes walking to main streets. The lady working in reception is super nice and friendly.

it was good

Kind staff and great price. Could maybe clean shower heads and drains.

Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Hostel is located in a great spot, close by to everything but not too close that you hear all the business from pub street! Even had a lovely greeting everyday with Amok, the hostel cat. Would return again!

Friendly & supportive staffs. Convenient location. Walking distance to city center. Close to airport or temples.

Not going to lie I got thrown out of mad monkey but that was a blessing in disguise......the people in naga odum especially made me feel so at home and they are amazing people, if I was to ever stay at a hostel in Siem reap it would be this one......clean, friendly and homely Xxx

Kleine aber schöne Zimmer. Bequeme Betten. Zimmer mit Kühlschrank und Safe. Personal sehr freundlich. Zentral gelegen nahe Pub Street und Night Market.

Budget place not too far from the night markets. Check in was good. We were trying to get the shuttle service as described, but no one answer our calls. The room was basic but value for money. Breakfast is only between 7-9, no drinks included be aware, kind of tricky. On our last day before leaving on a long journey, we ordering the breakfast at 7am, and simply never received it, I wish we know in advance and just buy some food before. I think if you’re on a budget it’s a good place but don’t expect too much.

The view on the roof is nice. Maybe I missed it but apparently the attached restaurant is only open at certain times.

I was in this hostel for 2 nights on 16th and 17th june 2019. What i can say is central location. Close to restaurants and bars. Eveb at hotel restaurant also they do have a 50 cents beer and nice food. All staff very smilley. But this hotel no elevator. So u have to use stairs to go level 2 and above. For USD 6 pernight cost me to stay at private room what else i can complain. Really my stay was worth. Recomded to all backpackers.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided help with booking my trip to Angkor Wat and also bus trip to Phnom Penh. I will definitely visit here again.

Very central location. Got a superior double room. Make sure you get a room with screens for the ventilation holes in the bathroom. The mosquitos come in from there and eat you alive at night

Great central location. Got a superior double room. Make sure you don't get a room where there are no screens for the ventilation holes in the bathroom. Lots of mosquitos come in through there and I was eaten alive.

Reception could not find my booking. Though it was stated that parking space was available, there wasn't any proper parking lots. When I checked with the receptionist, she assured me it wasn't a problem. The next morning, the security guy asked for an extra tip in spite of hotel receptionist's assurance. Not impressed by the service.

The rooms are so so, there was tiles missing from our bathroom walls. The walls between the rooms are so thin so can hear everything that is going on in the other room. The staff was really nice at times, but pretty weird at other times. They are very keen on selling you tours to the Angkor Wat area. The breakfast was just bland and tasteless, not worth it even if it's included. We had several power outtakes during our stay, both for just our room, the corridor and the whole house no clue why it happens several times a day, and we were not spending that much time at our room

My opinion of Naga Angkor changed a lot over our 3 nights in their private twin room. On checking in, we were very disappointed as the room is very small, the bathroom even smaller, with large gaps around the tops of the doors so not at all soundproof. However, the helpfulness of the staff (Yudom in particular) completely changed my (initially very negative) view of the place. The bathroom was strange and very basic and we couldn't see how the shower worked, but the staff member not only described it but came up to our room to make sure we had it under control. Most impressive was when we left it far too late to book a tour company to visit a floating village, and nothing we tried online would enable us to get a tour before we left the city. Then at 9pm the night before our last day, Yudom thoroughly and incredibly patiently talked us through options, made several phone calls very efficiently, and was very understanding as we dithered over various queries we had and concerns. Solely thanks to her, we were able to make the most of our last day in Siem Reap and get to see the floating villages. It has reminded me not to be too quick to judge a place! That said, if your standards are at or above average for a private room, you're probably better looking elsewhere.

We had a private room with ensuite and it was very clean and comfortable. Located in a good area closeby to everything but still very relaxing vibe perfect for a couple. The staff were very sweet and helped with anything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Check other reviews as well before choosing this hotel. There are good things, that I will advise as well, but since it is very noizy, I would never rcommand this hotel as you can't sleep. We were on first floor, and the floors in corridors are just pieces of wood with holes in between, and the hotels is made in an open concept within inside, and can see and hear outside as much. So you hear everything coming from dowstairs...and the street so dont get the side facing the street. And the walls are ver tin, and there are holes in bathroom for air. Basically, you here people slam the doors, go to bathroom, talk, burp, etc...all night. And in am, starting at 6ham, you hear the staff dowstairs talking, making all kinds of noises, kitchen prepartion, etc... MAYBE if you can be on upper floors, at least you wouldn't hear as much main floor noizes. Beside that, I read someone got a cheaper room then what they booked...happenned to us as well, had to change twice (and weird after the first switch, the staff said there was no more superior room available....but then when I came back second time, oh there was one). So be carefull. Bed was comfy. AC and pipes were leaking. Sink focet broken but could be used. Staff just *Ohhh* when advise, was noizy. Downstairs ambiance nice. Same music being planned over and over haha So your choice. It is a decent hotel if you get it at 10-12usd per night but try to get a higher up room and hopefully you dont have noizy neighbours.

The room is a little small but fine for 1 person and keeps quite cool.. The staff are very friendly - I only eat local foods while traveling and mostly avoided the restaurant...the only one thing i tried was their noodle soup which turned out to be instant noodles and not good (couldn't eat!).. The most wonderful thing was the bed - firm bet exceptionally comfortable..so much so that I just ordered a new matress for at home :)

Good location, nice place, decent breakfast. Very kind and helpful people working there, always in a good mood and willing to asist you in any way they can trying to make your trip better.

Friendly staff and very helpful. Close to the main center of Siem Reap.

Unfortunately I booked Naga for 4 nights but only stayed for 1. When I originally booked it stated there was a pool available - there is no pool. Apart from this issue the place was in a great location right in the centre of Siem Reap and was great value for money. The bed was comfortable but the room could have been cleaner. We had a little bit of an ant problem in the bathroom but the staff came up to the room straight away and cleaned it. On the whole the staff were friendly but it felt slightly false as they seemed to be much nicer to us once we told them we were thinking of checking out. When I advised of my disappointment with the pool they sort of shrugged and said nothing. The Wi-Fi was good.

(1) wonder no shampoo and conditioner provided from this hostel. I've asked the staff to let me have and she said I need to buy for my own usage. (2) no hangers in my room, then I asked the staff to let me have and she said she would provide to me later. Unfortunately, I have't got it even after 2 days, then I need to re-ask the receptionist staff

Nice front of house staff. Matress very old. Good location. Good value for money

I got free pick up from the bus station, thank you so much. The location is great, close to the pub street, the breakfast and the foods in restaurant are tasty, especially the burger. Wifi is strong, and the room is clean and comfortable, staffs are friendly and helpful. I booked a day tour from the hotel, and the guide, Mr. Makaran is very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel and restaurant.

Staff eager to help foreigners, breakfast simple but delicious, clean and without problems. Close to Pub Street, old market and night market.

You get what you pay for. The room is okay, the staff is nice. The breakfast was small.

It was a convenient place to stay. Very near to food stalls and night market

Loved my stay here. Room was small but comfy and clean, walking distance to anything you will need, food was delicious, beer cheap and COLD, and the staff amazing. Led me in the right direction and arranged my onward bus travel. Highly recommend.

Very welcoming and nice staff. Bathroom slightly outdated.

Great location, just minutes away from the Night Market/Bazaar. Cozy, clean room and very friendly staff. Free airport pickup was definitely helpful. Reasonable late checkout fee. It can get somewhat noisy at late night with bars around but nothing major. Do recommend.

Booked a mixed dorm for its cheap price but was disappointed with the actual room. Very small, dim, non-ventilated and only an arm distance between 2 beds. No privacy and comfort. Broken locker provided under the bed but you have to bring own big locks if you have. Eventually, i personally chose to upgrade room with extra cost for safety reason. Good though for: 1. Cheaper price compared with nearby hostels 2. Free decent portion breakfast provided. Taste not disappointing, even better than nearby restaurants 3. Patient helpful staff despite repeated enquiries made. 4. Free airport or station transfer (but actually they aim to lock the tuk tuk driver for you for the rest of your trip. Did not engage because it’s more expensive than the outside driver i found) Overall, it’s still value for money if you don’t mind the small dorm. Pictures are not reliable.

I stayed here for two nights. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Even though, there was leaking in the air con in my room, I enjoyed the stay very much. It was only 3-min walk from night market.

Hostel restaurant have upscale prices, but there is best choice of burgers, melts and subs in Siem Reap. Also good menu for smoothies and juice. Strong WiFi and pleasant spectre of house music playing...

its a good hotel worth your penny. the ambiance is great. the roof top is nice. we celebrated my friends b-day at the rooftop and its amazing. the cold breeze of the the air, i can still remember it,.

The hotels is in a great area. Its just a short walk to Pub street. The hotels staff is very friendly and helpful. The manager really cares about the guests being happy and will go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with your stay. The food is really one of the best things about this propery and you cannot leave without trying one of their signature burgers or main course dishes. Everything is delicious!

Great value for money, stayed at the private room. Central and easy location, clean room, kind and helpful staff. Nice lobby downstairs, and many travelers stay here. The restaurant has a good menu, but for the mid-range budget, I recommend their burger.

We stayed in Naga for three nights. The receptionist was very friendly! She helped us with a lot of things like renting a bike, bicycle,... She gave us a lot of information about the where-go-to's in the area. The meals at Naga were delicious. The people at the bar were also very friendly. You felt really welcome when you arrived at the hotel.

Good location. Nice rooms with AC, small bar fridge. Neat and clean. All the normal laundry facilities. The restaurant has really delicious, and often unusual food, with a happy hour for drinks in the evening. Always helpful, and offering any booking facilities needed. My booking includes a nice choice for breakfast at the same good value price. Top spot!

Went there ordered food and drink, but 1 cup of hot tea came 15min later and 30min later another solo customer asked where is his food, the captain/person in charged told him that they are out of gas and when we asked, the same answer and that they are still waiting for replacement to arrive. 5min later we saw the tank came, but we couldn't wait any longer. *drink was served late to delay their time and that we would wait longer. It was just hot water poured onto a teabag only. My concern is that they should have told us this issue when we first asked if they are opened (before we have a sit and place our order). Poor guy who came before who was not served his food as well. I waited for 35min,not sure about him. Was very excited to try their *best burger in town* during my visit to Siam Reap, but unfortunately turned out to be a spoiled start of the day.

Comfortable beds, cleans rooms, and free breakfast make this a good hostel. The staff makes it an excellent hostel. Special thanks to Borey and Udom for taking care us. Udom at the front desk was there for us continuously and is very friendly. Borey is an excellent bartender and host. Great stay all around.

i didn't stay here, but did eat in the restaurant. Borey is an amazing host!! He made travelling / eating alone so much better! Lovely food, great cocktails and happy hour and very friendly! :-) thank you brother!

We stayed at this place for 2 nights. It has been an amazing experience with them. No complaints at all. The price is cheap when you book it online. It is very near to the night markets and the stores. Very easy to locate. it has a cafe on the ground floor.

Bonne connexion wifi. Bref un très bon rapport qualité-prix.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hostel for 5 days/4 nights and found it to be good for the price we paid, although the room we were booked in the first night had some issues and we requested to be moved. Our first room had a broken sink (the plumbing was bad so the water would fall on your feet while you brush your teeth or wash your hands), there was no fridge, there was no hot water (although I think this could have been solved had they explained to us how the heater works - if it works), and the sheets were stained. The staff said they would fix the sink, but we insisted to be moved as we needed the fridge and a bathroom that works. We were told that the second room that they were moving us into was more expensive although it is the same room that was featured on the pictures in our booking on Expedia. Our room was never cleaned during the time we were there, even though our booking said that it includes daily housekeeping. Regarding the location, the hostel is located on a relatively big road and it is quite loud, but it is close to all the shops and restaurants. Other than that, the staff was very accommodating and helped us arrange all the trips we wanted to take. The price they gave us was very good and everything worked out smoothly. Our driver, Mony, was also great! Had it not been for the staff, I would've given this hostel a lower rating. So if you are looking for a cheap place to stay and are willing to put up with the things we went through, then book it!

They did not pick me up. I was waiting for a long time. I took a taxi by myself. They give me a wrong room, cheaper one. They say the hotel was full. The next day the give me a better room but without a fridge. The staff was friendly and helpful. The management was not good, not friendly and try to cheat me.

Value for money but not near and good as expected. Need to walk quite a while to pub street and night market.

This place is close to everything, with a 5 min walk to the night markets and pub street and the staff were lovely. However, I found my room to be overpriced. The room was clean and looked nice, but it wasn't practical. The bathroom had holes in the walls so you can hear everything from the room next door, the shower system seemed faulty, the fly wire in the bathroom had massive holes in them which allowed bugs and mosquitos in the room. Also there was no mirror anywhere in the room. The TV also had a dodgy connection and you couldn't watch anything.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. I love it for the convenient location to shops and restaurants. The staff is excellent and the food in the onsite restaurant very tasty

The hotel is at the a great location and affordable price. The only thing that irritates me while i was staying there was the service. I would suggest that the staffs should focus more on request and customers instead of busy using facebook at the receiption. Moreover, cut down a bit of the racism. We were asked if we were Vietnamese unfortunately we arent, and the female staffs said "its good we are not Vietnamse". Your hotel is great but the staffs have to put more initiative to service the customers.
