The staff was nice Room very poor I ask for a double and they booked me the disabled so I took it it was the only one free but the toilet seat broken no bath mat to stand on and no toilet brush plus nice clean towels left on an unmade bed when we got Back late to the hotel our bed has always ben made when we returned

The breakfast was very very poor No yogurt or pastries this year only bread and cereal Toaster for 4 slices one one side worked the hotel was fully booked not good enough could have brought one anywhere have been before so I know what to except but it is a lot on money for 2 nights to get bread and cereal

Breakfast was minimal but adequate, however the toaster & water coolant were both broken. Location was good for us as it was close to the event we were attending but the traffic noise was very loud as we had to sleep with the windows open

The recepystsfg was very unwelcoming and obviously unhappy in his job

Stayed here for one night with my two young children after visiting Whipsnade Zoo. It was a convenient and reasonably priced place to stay. Check-in was straightforward, the room was comfortable and the location worked really well for our plans.

The only downside was the noise from the room above us. Someone was walking/running around and making a lot of noise until around 4am. I genuinely kept watching the clock because I couldn’t get to sleep and was constantly worried the noise would wake my children. I appreciate this isn’t necessarily the hotel’s fault, but unfortunately it did affect our stay and I didn’t manage to sleep until after 4am. Other than that, everything was fine and it was a convenient place to stay after a long day at the zoo.

The bed was very comfortable and the towels were nice.

The overall feel was a bit shabby, dirty in the corners and dirty windows. The breakfast was cereal and toast no option of cooked breakfast. The receptionist was not friendly at all and acted like he didn't want to answer any questions and when he did he was not polite. There was no hairdryer in the room.

The room was clean and recently decorated. It had a new carpet. My brother in law came over and we went out for the day. We were allowed to offer him tea on his arrival and he was allowed to park his car all day.

Despite asking for a ground floor room we were initially assigned a first floor room. This was changed to a ground floor room without any problems. We had to ask for breakfast times and WiFi password. These details were not volunteered at check in.

Decent hotel with good facilities for the price. There is also an Indian hotel adjacent to the hotel. Staff were quite helpful.

Breakfast is very basic. The shower was not working properly. There is no Public transportation nearby and this hotel is suitable only if you have a car.

Comfortable room with a double bed and 2 single beds. Nice towels and tea/coffee facilities. Slept well. Good wifi connection helpful staff on reception, gave me a choice of taxi companies to use. Free parking

Bedroom could have been cleaned a bit better - dirt/crumbs around the floor /wall edge, could do with better vacuuming around the edges. Breakfast was basic although was constantly being topped up with bread, milk, orange, cups etc as it was a busy morning. There are only 10 seats available for anyone to have breakfast, so a couple of our party had to stand.

Bed was comfortable and location was good for what we needed.

Very basic room facilities but the main problem was that the toilet didn't flush properly. This wasn't isolated to our room only as several other family members also had rooms on the same night and it was the same in all of their rooms as well. Breakfast was very basic - toaster, bread, butter and jam or the other option was a choice of a few cereals with milk (in a fridge at the side), orange juice available in the fridge.

The breakfast was basic but that's what I expected for the price. Some fruit would taken it up a notch. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel needs some tlc and the shower over the bath was not suitable for me with mobility issues.

Excellent value for the cost of 2 nights, particularly with continental breakfast included. Very friendly staff. With an Indian restaurant right next door, we were in seventh heaven! Hotel is so convenient for Whipsnade Zoo too. Also convenient for access to/from the M1 motorway.

Situated next to the very busy A5 roadway, there was the almost constant drone of traffic, but this probably depends on the room you're allocated.

How close it was to where we needed to go even though we did travel 2 hours and 30 minutes from Sheffield for a special birthday

How unclean it was. Dust allover the room and found a big black hair in the bed once we got there. Chair had questionable stains on so couldn’t use. And to top it off you had to eat breakfast in reception which I find absolutely disgusting. Also towel rail hanging off the wall

We were not familiar with the area and don’t think it was clear from the advertising that the lodge is not within walking distance to anywhere. We were over for a family wedding and felt we were stuck in the middle of nowhere . We did a 5k round trip walk along a busy road to get to a Tesco to buy water etc

Easy location for Whipsnade zoo. Fine for one night stop over in the area. Great supply of towels. Very basic breakfast but enough to start our day.

I found the carpet quite dirty. Side tables were very basic boxes. No plug sockets by the bed. One of the single beds my son was sleeping on had a big dip in the middle. It didn't bother him but may do an adult. You get what you pay for.

A clean functional stay, nothing outstanding, but also nothing bad. Travelled for work. There is an Indian restuarant next door, but apart from this it's not near anything. Be aware of the postcode for satnavs as we almost drove by it at 50mph.

We didn't have the breakfast which was just basic toast and cerial.

The location was great, only 5 miles away from where i needed to be the following morning. The female staff were lovely, the male member of staff the following morning was a bit arrogant and a jobsworth with zero sense of humour. The room was very comfortable and despite the hotel being on a main road i found it easy to sleep. Breakfast in the morning was basic toast and cereals, enough to fill you up but if i that isn't enough there is a McDonalds just down the road on the outskirts of the closest village (as you exit the car park turn left). There is a restaurant/diner next door to the hotel but i cannot comment on the food as i did not use it.

Pleasently surprised. Room was clean, windows open to get the room cooler (31 degrees outside) traffic noise but not too bad. Nice staff and breakfast included. Toast and cereal. We would stay in a redwings again.

Lovely location .great for dogs .when you walk round the back theres a lovely veiw tables and benchs where you can sit and relax with your dog they charge £15 per dog which i was very happy with some places rip uou off,.if you like curry there a indian resturant next door

The staff were polite and the room was clean

Very basic, no frills Some broken equipment, such as the TV stand and other bits. HATED the bath, it was extremely shallow and didn't cover my body when I lay in it. When I stood in the bath the water level only went halfway up my shin. Its a cheap way to skimp on the water bill but this comes at the detriment of the guest.

Breakfast was very basic, but a hot drink and toast was enough to send me on my way. Mcdonald's was a few hundred yards down the road though.

Beds were not comfortable - mattress was far too soft so was unable to sleep on it. Bathroom needs a real upgrade - very tired looking. Cheap place to stay, but next time I would pay slightly more and find somewhere better

Geographical location was good for work but very noisy due to being on an A road. Breakfast was easy.

Everything felt sticky. Bathroom needs attention, old stains on the floor and in the bath. Fresh fruit e.g banana with breakfast.

Location for what I need. Parking, nice clean tidy room with the usual facilities. Nice looking out at the farm animals.

The shower was not working. Had a bath instead. The bathroom does need an update/upgrade.

The bed sloped a bit I noticed but was quite comfy although not as comfy as some hotel beds I've slept in.

The staff are excellent and make you feel welcome. The property is old but very well kept and maintained and it is very clean. There is plenty of free parking and easy access to major traffic routes. Probably the best budget accommodation in the area.

Cheap enough, clean, good bed and soft towels, plenty of pillows, kettle and tea/coffee in the room - you wouldn't want to holiday there but it is OK for a one night stop.

Very noisy as on main road (and animals in field behind lowing all night, although not the hotel's fault!) and had to keep windows open since heatwave and no A/C or fan in the room. Bathroom has seen better days and could do with an update. Breakfast is perfunctory, granulated coffee, cereal, toast, butter and jam - all served in the entrance hall as no dedicated space.

The hotel/ lodge was not really in Dunstable and certainly a distance from what is generally considered Dunstable. The room was not as advertised, and the strong smell upon entering was so bad it gave me a headache. It smelled like insect spray, and the next day I discovered cockroaches, which explained the overwhelming chemical scent. The bathroom was dirty, and I had to ask someone to clean the bath. The shower curtain was also filthy. Overall, this felt like a scam booking. It was advertised as a hotel, but in reality it felt more like a hostel or homeless shelter. The listing made it seem as though breakfast was included as a bonus, but it turned out to be just some cereal, which did not look appetising at all. To top it off, there was vomit outside the entrance. That pretty much sums up my experience. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others.

Ein sehr basic hotel aber für die umwelt ein Klasse A+. Fruhstück war inklusive aber sehr basic. Teller, tasse und besteck nicht kunstoff. Haaretrockner Müss man von rezeption bekommen. Mann muss wissen voher es ist ein gunstig Motel (nicht hotel) für übernacht handwerker...zimmer sind nicht geplegt aber das kommt mit der preis. Bollywood curry dinner war sehr gut nebenbei die hotel aber stimme ist leere...

Schade die zimmer ist nicht besser geplegt. Frühstucks raum ist kleine.

Breakfast was stated at continental was just toast no pastries very disapoonted. Huge let down Was woken up knocking on door by housekeeping even though do not disturb notice was up. Asking us to check out but we still had another day. All Sides had 2inch dip so cups fell of hubby was scolded with hot tea. Quilt was so thin was like towlel. Wouldnt stay again. Should get breakfast refunded!

Everything in the room worked, the shower was very good and then bed was confortable. The location suited our purposes, we were going to a wedding nearby. The room was very big.

The room hadn’t been vacuumed properly there was remnants of hair and food in/on the carpet. It felt a bit grim.

such mixed feelings on this looks stunning from the outside. friendly check in arrived to our room, room itself clean. curtains hanging though. bathroom left a lot to be desired, tiles grubby, flooring bath grubby, shower didn't work. the beds alare soft I sank into it. but I had the best night sleep. our door lock was broken so had to put suitcase behind door, left me uneasy on checkout we said about shower and all we got is you need to do this between the taps, we said we did and it didn't work all we got back was "oh" very strange that breakfast is set up in the check in area, so we skipped breakfast. if it wasn't for a good night sleep the star.rarting would be even lower
