Firstly I paid for a return airport shuttle as part of my room on arrival in siem reap I was told nobody would be picking me up which cost an extra 10 dollar in a taxi Upon arrival I asked the receptionist why?Was then told it was only one way despite my receipt saying it was a return My room was also meant to be a city view which turned out to be a load of metal/wooden shacks and not very a nice view at all The bathroom looked half finished and not very clean After just 1 hour I decided to book myself another hotel and leave the place as I just felt completely robbed by them in every way Would not stay here again
Always come back to here as my home in SiemReap. Stay in calm and peace place. And next door, mid cafe is also great.
enjoyed my stay there. Very quiet and the staff were great and the food was very good. Hardy recommended
Friendly staff, helping with tour and tuk tuk organization, clean rooms and very close to some excellent restaurants.
This is my home in SiemReap. Thank you for welcoming me always! I will be back soon.
My friend and I want to explain why we only gave them 1 star! The staff was very friendly and reacted right away! Unfortunately there were a few things which made our stay not comfortable and made us leave this hotel two nights earlier. We had a lizard in our bathroom and one in our prepared lunchbag. We know that lizards are common here but these situations made us feel uncomfortable. In addition to that, the sheets weren‘t actually clean! One of the towels neither. Even though I threw the dirty towel on the floor, the cleaning person just hang it up again. We have two say, that they removed the lizard and that we got a fresh towel right away. They also let us switch the room because of the lizard and ants in our room but you just don‘t feel comfortable anymore. The extra laundry service we paid for wasn‘t good at all. Our clothes had still stains and not everything was clean nor dry. After complaining, the money for the laundry service was refunded. Still, the manager did not excuse himself or refund anything for the incidents or days we left earlier because we didn‘t feel comfortable.
The hotel is really value for money, with free round trip airport transfer, daily breakfast, welcome drink and fruit plate. The manager is sincere and had sent me email in advance to arrange the airport pick up.
Loved the way I was greeted arriving after a long flight. Very friendly, kind and caring staff made my stay very memorable.
pelayanan cepat & baik! kamar Ok! staf / pekerja hotel bekerja dengan baik! Keseluruhan OK!
The staff is very kind I wanna stay at this hotel if go to Cambodia again
Friendly and polite staff and provided prompt service. The transportation was great, driver was very informing and was able to accommodate on a tight schedule.
The room was supet clear, the bed is super comfortable and the hotel staff is very friendly and helpful
Nice and cozy. It’s bit away from center but Tuktuk will help you. And the cafe, next door is also just great. Thank you for everything.
The room that I booked wasn’t available upon check in due to renovation, however that was never communicated to me prior to my arrival. Upon check in I was told I would be moved the next day to the room I originally booked but when I returned that evening I was told it was still being renovated and that I would not be moving rooms at all. The shower drain in the bathroom smelled of sewage. When I booked the room it stated that round trip airport transfer was included. I was picked up from the airport in a tuk tuk (not conducive to luggage). For the return trip I asked for a car and was told there would be a charge. The garden bar was not able to make more than half the drinks on their menu. The spa services were done in your room as there was no actual spa area at the hotel which does not provide a “spa experience.” I would not stay here again.
We changed rooms 3 times because the sheets, towels, pillows, and blankets were all dirty and bloody in each of the rooms. The toilet was clogged in another room and the manager came to unclog it. He left all of the dirty toilet water all over the bathroom and lied saying it was fixed, then told us we have to unclog it ourself after each use, then called our room again and made us change rooms(I guess he was guilty). The last room they put us in the shower water wouldn't drain so the bathroom got flooded with dirty water. Do not stay at this hotel. Its very disturbing how bloody and dirty these rooms are. The manager's reply was ," What do you expect its a 3 star hotel" after hearing this I called the website we booked the hotel with and got a full refund. These people have no pride and they don't even understand what a clean room is supposed to look like. Spend the money and get a sensible hotel. And do not use cambodian Dollars in cambodia. Its easier to use US DOLLARS( I wish someone told me that when I came into cambodia). I don't care if the hotel replies to this comment saying they will fix it. Their reply to me was its a 3 star hotel what do you expect. Don't reply my comment trying to save face!!
Very comfortable and clean hotel. Would stay again.
Fantastic stay. Wonderfulbstaff, location and facility.
Good service good atmosphere good location Overall great
Very nice staff, trying to be helpful inspire of language difference.
Ashia is a small hotel very close to everything, from temples to markets, and Pub street being a brief tuktuk ride away. The hotel condition is great, extremely clean and well-designed. Staff are very, very kind, polite and patient. Only a couple of tips: - Revise the breakfast design. There's no need for it to be buffet-style since it's a small hotel, but make it more flexible for people not to get tired! - Mind the training of your staff, especially in the nightshift. Teach them how to solve different problems in an agile manner. Make sure they can communicate effectively in English. - Revise your selection of tuktuk drivers. There's many of them out there who deserve a new opportunity because their vehicles are in excellent condition, they speak English fluently and are knowledgeable and can act as actual tour guides. In any case, a GREAT hotel with staff doing their best to excel at what the ya do. Akon!!!
We stayed here for 5 days and we were very happy. The personal was very lovely, food was good, rooms clean and the price very reasonable for the room. The personal helped us with organising with tuk tuks, transport, attractions, prettty much anything! Very happy with them!
Very clean with a helpful staff. I will stay here again. Thanks for a great time!
Wonderful staff...great location,,,.very helpful....would highly recommend it.
Very helpful staff with ready-made 3 days tour in Siem Reap including the temples and the floating village. Quality of room is great for it's price. 10 mins tuk tuk ride to the pub street, and 10 mins tuk tuk ride to the Angkor temple ticket booth. Facilities are limited so I'll recommend this place for young couples or single travelers!
We stayed two nights at this hotel and had a great time. There was a misunderstanding with some tour prices, but the hotel manager rushed to correct things and even gave us a complementary massage! The hotel is even better than how It looks on the pictures. The staff is amazing. I would definately come back here.
The whole staff was very welcoming from the time we checked in. At first it felt a little too formal, but that's a cultural thing, and soon it was all very warm and familiar. Sometimes we had difficulty understanding Cambodian English, but nothing went unresolved. The free breakfast menu wasn't exactly what we would have chosen, but there were a variety of things available, and they were flexible with the choices. Their lunch and dinner menu, food, and prices were competitive with the majority of restaurants in Siem Reap. The location was conveniently near a main street, but quietly back a ways. Tuk tuk drivers were always assertively ready to take us to the central business district, but we usually walked the 2km. The driver hired by the hotel to pick us up at the airport, Huan Da (spelling?), became our daily companion for the Angkor tours. Although we didn't always have flawless communication, he anticipated what we would enjoy, and we became quite close to him.
I stayed at double bed room (no balcony) for 3 nights. I got a welcome drink, a cold towel and plates of fruits which is thougthful considering how hot it was outside. The room is clean and spacious especially for solo traveller like me. The room does not have separation (door) between bedroom and bathroom (it isn't a problem for me). Bathroom does have both nice shower and tub, amenities and hair dryer. Cons: the hot water in the shower runs quickly somehow. As for the tub, I was waiting for the hot one to come out, but it never happened. Breakfast which served in 3 options, is enough for me; eggs, sausages, toast, croissant, jam/butter, fruits and tea/coffee. I asked for the breakfast to be served outdoor in the garden, but at that time there was a stinky smell. Location: safe environment, near the main road to Angkor Wat, and peaceful at night time.It is far from the center, so you need a tuktuk (costs $2, one way). But if you like to walk, it takes about 30 mins/3K. The room and hotel is standard, but what makes staying here is a pleasing experience is because of the helpful staffs, especially this one guy who is probably the night manager (I forgot to ask for his name). He is very helpful! He did the arrangement for my Angkor Wat trip with a hotel tuktuk (sunrise, sunset) for $22, put my breakfast in a box for the sunrise trip, and helped me with mini van booking for my trip to Phnom Penh (picked up at hotel). His English is great, so you wont have any problems at all.
Loved staying here as the bed and pillows were so comfortable! Staff were amazingly helpful. Room was really cool - especially love the raw concrete feel. Simple yet effective. I would recommend to stay here, you'll be be surprised at the quality for the price you pay. The restaurant next door was exceptional too.
The hotel was nice & clean, w/very spacious rooms. When I arrived I was offered juice at check-in which was nice, but check-in took longer than expected because the staff was trying to figure out if I booked w/breakfast (which I did). It was hot, I just wanted to get to the room. Upon getting to the room (1 flight of stairs up w/no elevator, fine for me-but may not be for some), I realized the balcony door did not close all the way. The woman told me it was not a concern as bugs & mosquitos could not get up that high. I did have a couple mosquito bites the next morning, but moving forward sprayed the bed linen each night w/bug spray & had no problems. There is a fridge, tub & shower. I also booked a bus ride from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh through the hotel & it was the worst bus ride & experience. Lastly, eat next door one night (at least) at Mie Cafe!! You will not be disappointed. Mie Cafe being so close is the best part about staying at Ashia!!
A mesmerizing mix of rustic charm with a clean, modern appeal, my husband and I loved this property from the moment we arrived. We received an exceedingly warm welcome from the staff, who also helped us set up our trip to Angkor Wat the following day. In the morning we enjoyed breakfast atop an open-air patio overlooking the small gardens below. Absolutely loved this experience, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Siem Reap.
Great stay!! Beautiful boutique hotel with modern rooms. Great shower! Staff was very polite and helpful. Everyone always had a smile on the face. Good breakfast each morning.
This hotel is a little tricky to find due to a recent name change but, (once found) the service and food was amazing. Mie cafe (a great new restaurant) is located in front of the property. Rooms are great, clean, and modern. Would recommend this to everyone due to the location and ease to get to all Siam Reap has to offer.
The staffs are very nice
we really enjoyed staying here-the room was great, really spacious, excellent bed and wonderful hot shower. Breakfast left a little to be desired but for the price you can't fault it. Excellent restaurant next door (not affiliated with hotel.) Tip: if you're going to do sunrise at the temples, tell them the night before. We got up at 4.30am only to find the gates padlocked so we couldn't get our bikes out. Successfully managed it the next morning after repeatedly reminding them the night before.
We were totally satisfied with the quiet simple room. The villa is away from main traffic, ten minutes from town center and easily accessible by tuk-tuk. Receptionists were fluent in English, helpful, friendly and cheerful. They arranged transfer to and from airport, got ready breakfast to take out for sunrise trip, brought our luggage to the room, served breakfast. Suggest you to try their homemade pancake and fried noodle. We appreciate the simplicity and their friendliness.
I only have good things to say about my stay at the Spicy Villa. The room was great, the staff were attentive and accommodating. It's not located near the Pub Street/center of town which was what I wanted. I had a very pleasant 5 day stay at the Spicy Villa and would stay there again.
It's a new hotel close to Siem Reap's greatest attractions. The rooms and amenities are suitable for solo travelers, as well as those travelling with families. The rooms are spacious and comfortable but the water supply needs to be improved, we felt a metallic after taste and the WiFi connection is bad. The hotel also provides bicycles for a nominal fee, which we found helpful in experiencing what the city has to offer.
The hotel is small but very nice. When we went there it wasn't finished. but it was very clean anyway and had no problems. The room was very good, and the staff is very nice and helpful. It's a little bit far from the center, but you can easily get a 2 dls/8 min tuk tuk. The neighborhood is where all the fancy hotels are, and on the way to angkor. Good choice!
